Chelsea got lucky to equalize towards the end of the match, it was a mistake from Trippier but mistakes are part of the game. Newcastle defended well and Chelsea dominated the game throughout the second half but didn’t find it easy to penetrate them. I don’t think all games will be boring, they might not seem tough but a lot of games here will be interesting like the Napoli vs Barcelona is not a bad fixture, both teams are not at their best but they will both give us a good fight. Real Madrid was just so good against them, they couldn’t show anything at all and the better side just got more goals. Madrid was in total control and went 2 goals up before the end of the first half, Villarreal was able to put one back not too long into second half and we all thought it was game on and we might see a comeback but Madrid showed how determined they were to top the league they were outstanding and the scoreling proves they can do better.

We still need to see the outcome of the game between Girona vs Alaves and see where the outstanding performance puts Real Madrid. If Girona wins they will still retain their first place and Madrid will be second place with 2 points behind Girona.

It could have been more flasy if Pulisic’s fine curler attempt was to have scored but he was unlucky and hit the crossbar. Everyone was surprised, i couldn’t watch the match so i followed up online and after City was two goals up i just concluded the match was over and City had won but I guess I forgot this is the premier league, the league full of dramas and surprises. City giving up two points in Etihad Stadium to Crystal Palace after going two goals up is a really a thing of surprise.

I Just saw an update from Fabrizio Romano stating that Victor Osimehn is about to be handed a new contract which will make him one of the highest earning players in the history of the team and new deal will be valid till 2026. Newcastle gave it their best but i guess it was not enough to be able to progress to the next round and it proves that they inexperienced in the league. They did their best and it will be difficult to notice they are first timers. I was more surprised to see them perform in the hottest group in the competition and until the final minutes it was difficult to predict the team that will progress to the next round along side Borrussia Dortmund.

I thought at first that PSG was going to top the group but they failed to perform to expectation, they were even lucky to have qualified to the knockout stage and the equalizer just saved the day for them. I am trying to picture how PSG would feature in the Europa league if they had lost the match.
