Regarding Over-Raked Pots

Refunds have been credited to all affected players. A corresponding amount of BCH has also been credited, and must be claimed through the BCH claiming method.

Regarding Over-Rake Refunds
The investigation into over-raked pots has been completed. We are now loading the data to run a payout script. We expect this process to take up to 36 hours to complete. Once paid out, players will notice a transaction with type "Refund" in the cashier screen. Players will also be credited an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash, which can be claimed in the same manner as our BCH distribution process, by emailing bch@swcpoker.eu and following the instructions.

Regarding Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash claims continue to be processed regularly. If you had a balance at SwC Poker on August 1st, you may email bch@swcpoker.eu to claim your BCH. This regular processing will continue until at least the end of 2017.

Regarding Client Development
After the refund process completes, we will shift focus back to developing our new client software. This new software will eliminate many of the issues experienced by players today. The client will be developed to run on multiple platforms and will greatly improve player experience. We understand this has been a difficult time for SwC Poker, and we vow to improve the platform.

SwC Poker Client Development
We understand and agree client development has taken a long time. SwC Poker is run by a small but dedicated team. Our development resources are limited, but we are working steadily towards client software that will run on multiple platforms and provide a better playing experience than our current Windows only client.

Bitcoin Cash
We expect to announce a system to claim your Bitcoin Cash tokens within days. This has taxed our already limited development resources but we felt it was too much value to our players to ignore. Once the system is ready, we will announce so on this forum, on our website, and on our twitter account @swcpoker

Over-Raked and Under-Raked Pots
Some months ago we discovered a system bug where pots were both over-raked and under-raked. We will make no adjustment for under-raked pots and will fully refund over-raked pots. The bug happened rarely and did not affect many players. This process will include a full auditing of our hand history system and will be resource intensive. The scale of this issue was small, and will be addressed in due time.

Statement on how SwC Poker will handle the August 1st Bitcoin Cash fork:

In anticipation of upcoming disruptions on the Bitcoin network, SwCPoker will be temporarily pausing all deposits and withdrawals on August 1st at 8:00 UTC.

On August 1st at 12:20 UTC, “Bitcoin Cash” will fork away from the Bitcoin network. At that time, games will be paused and a snapshot of player balances will be taken. Deposits and withdrawals will be re-enabled as soon as possible, at a time we deem safe. We expect this to be less than 12 hours after the event, but it will depend upon the stability of the Bitcoin network.

SwCPoker does not endorse “Bitcoin Cash,” and will remain a Bitcoin poker site, however we will allow players the opportunity to withdraw the “Bitcoin Cash” derived from their Bitcoin balance. The process for “Bitcoin Cash” withdrawals will be announced shortly after August 1st.

With regards to client-side updates and security, we have decided to rebuild our clients from the ground up as opposed to improving our current offering. While the current PC client has stability issues on some platforms, there have been no security issues exposed.

The new clients we are building will provide a much improved player experience and will allow us to rebuild some of the features that many players remember from the past.

BIP 91 Locked In

SwC Poker is aware that BIP 91 is now locked in. Segwit activation is starting, and SwC Poker is prepared. In response to this, SwC Poker will temporarily credit deposits after 3 confirmations as opposed to the usual 1 confirmation. At this time we do not expect an interruption of deposit or withdrawal service, however SwC Poker is monitoring the situation minute by minute. At any point during this transitional period, SwC Poker may take action to ensure the integrity of our site, such as suspending withdrawals for a period of time or raising the number of confirmations required to credit a deposit. Follow SwCPoker on twitter for the latest information. For any further questions email support@swcpoker.eu. We expect all to be back to normal in the next 2 weeks.

Regarding SwC Poker development:

Our small team has been developing client software to replace our current Windows client and offer the multiclient experience that players have been demanding. We understand this has taken "too long" but we are focused on security above all else.

We paid out >95 Bitcoins during the life of this promotion. It was not profitable for us, but the history of SwC Poker is based on the poker site paying out big to the players, unless it really gets out of hand. We hope to bring it back in the future after we have deployed our clients and restored player confidence in our platform.

We hope you will check back in a few months. We dream of having a large team of coders who never sleep but the reality is we are a small but dedicated team who often need to rest. We are not happy with the current state of SwC and are working hard to improve it.
