661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 10, 2023, 06:33:21 PM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not because I have a kid friend of about 14years and very eager to learn trading but am scared of the lost and how long it will take him to understand what his doing, because it hasn't been very easy for me. So what your opinion please I need help? because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.

If they are really eager, there might be something they see interesting about why they like trading at that age.

Therefore, let them enter the world of trading and guide them. Of course, just put them on the learning and studying part and not at the point that they will risk some money. They should get there soon.

You can observe that kid along the way and see if there's a significant change in his interest in trading, whether he really likes it or is just being carried away by something that he saw before on why there's an interest in doing it.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you Bet on a Fight that is Scripted? on: March 10, 2023, 06:27:54 PM
WWE is entertaining to watch but I think they will only take advantage of their bettors by manipulating the whole gameplay so I'd rather just watch it for fun than bet big.

Actually, no. There is no manipulation because the match is not even live. Results are already determined prior to that match to be listed on whatever bookies will list it. It means people who are not aware of the result of that scripted match will guess who's the winner of the match even if it's scripted. A guessing game indeed.

Not that interesting though for us usual bettors here that only place a bet on a legit match.

It was discussed before here that there's a bookie that lists WWE matches. Just remember that considered betting on that only for entertainment.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: im new to this bitcoin business on: March 10, 2023, 06:16:36 PM
i heard this stuff is how u make millions.

Having a mindset with that expectation might just result in an improper way of handling and managing your bitcoin.

Treat your investment like any investment that needs to be focused on in order to achieve a good result in the long run.

While it's true that the "stuff" you are referring to can make millions, it depends on how will you turn it that way.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 10, 2023, 06:06:21 PM
While I don't see it as a problem to consider by some gambling sites, regarding the use of a different network SIM nor having the same located IP, are you sure OP that's the only reason why the account got close to the point that funds are confiscated?

Technically, that was harsh as for funds to be confiscated, the violation should be really considered heavy.

Is this a true story OP? If yes, what site is this? Or just sharing a scenario that might happen to some users?
665  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kyc verification dangerous? on: March 10, 2023, 05:52:13 PM
Is this true that kyc verification can put your funds and personal data at risk? Should we stop using any app that ask for kyc verification?

It depends on how you looked at it. Form your own conclusion out of what you have read. Users have different approaches when it comes to KYC. Others are just fine complying with it while on the other hand, there are people who are not that comfortable with that policy.

Let's put it this way, there are pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages, and so on.

If you can find a way where you can use a service of a trusted and legit platform without the need of underdoing KYC, then good for you.
666  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 09, 2023, 11:59:51 PM
For those who are really that having doubts about being fair then its up to you whether you would really be that going or being dubious about their fairness but for me i dont really care that much
as long i do deal with the known or popular sites on where most people been playing on.

This is what I agree with. Even though I don't have that technical knowledge regarding verifying the provably fair of casino games, as long as I'm playing with a reputable gambling site, I should consider myself as somehow safe at using their service.

These popular sites will not just be turned into scams as they are registered legally and I don't they will exchange a small penny for the trust they have built.

If having trouble choosing a reputable site, OP can read those ANN threads and from reading the discussion there, OP should tell if the site is legit or not.
667  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: March 09, 2023, 11:59:33 PM
lets be real, how much people could profit off trading if we're being honest, it's gonna be very few, you're quite literally going against the whales with millions and insiders info in their arsenal.

Is that the challenge why we trade? Why take care of those whales? Just my mind our own.

As an experienced trader for a long, anyone can form a strategy on how to ride the wave when whales did and execute some action that can shake the market.

Whales are already part of trading and we should be used to it.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you Bet on a Fight that is Scripted? on: March 09, 2023, 11:59:06 PM
WWE is obviously scripted and to put money on it, I don't see how can I be interested or attracted to it in the first place.

On their official website, the results are already there prior to the main event e.g Royal Rumble, Wrestle Mania, etc.

I can't believe there's a gambling market for that scripted event. I don't want to risk my money for an obvious show.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wrong Bets !!! on: March 09, 2023, 11:58:46 PM
Be careful with those decimals. If you are doing gambling for a long time, I'm pretty sure this happened to you. I myself experienced this multiple times already because of being too comfortable with the scenario I have at that current situation. Sometimes I also experience this because of being on a rush or I'm at a stimulation of adrenalin rush. Luckily I haven't experience a remarkable loss just like what OP have. Wiping out your bank roll because of a wrong bet would absolutely be a hard lesson for you.

Aside from that, always have a relaxed state of mind when gambling.

The bet amount might not be properly set if our mind is currently not in a good condition.

Next time, OP can also choose a much more convenient way of betting which is showing the bet amount in his fiat currency. In that way, the same mistake might be minimized and more of he can control his bet as he knows that exact value of it showing in their local currency.
670  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: March 09, 2023, 11:58:35 PM
I have heard about Bitcoin back in 2017 but never got to learn regarding about it. I always thought that crypto was a fluke and that it would definitely not be a type of transaction until pandemic happens. So, as the title would suggest, is it too late to start investing on crypto? And if not, what would be the essentials to learn on working on it?

There's no such thing as late in crypto. If you want to consider investing in crypto, the door is always open.

Everyone can treat crypto as an investment or currency. Everyone is welcome here.

Of course, don't just jump into something you don't understand well. Spend time reading anything about crypto and be patient before risking your money.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 06, 2023, 10:58:45 PM
But some people didn't see it that way because for them, Inoue is taking a shortcut because he is now fighting Fulton directly on his debut at super-bantamweight when it is indeed normal already as it's not Inoue who did it first. Besides, he is favored by the governing bodies because of what he achieved at bantamweight, now he is just taking advantage of it.

Don't know why other people say that Naoya Inoue takes a shortcut when it's obvious that no one from lower rankings in the Super Bantamweight can match Inoue.

Isn't the fact that Inoue is unbeatable at the bantamweight division and no one from there can even come close to his level, is not enough to convince those people that he is already qualified to face a champion at the Super Bantamweight which is a much better fight to see than organizing a debut fight for him against a considered not even contender.

I want to ask those people who considered Naoya Inoue as taking a shortcut, aside from facing WBC and WBO champion Stephen Fulton and WBA and IBF champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev, who else in the Super Bantamweight is a good match for Naoya Inoue that is worthy to watch and make sense to organize?
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 06, 2023, 10:51:52 PM

Unfortunately, there's no definite time for how long PH will wait for another Pacman 2.0 wannabee that can be close to having the same achievement.

To be honest, even Casimero is still far from achieving another belt I still hoping that he will come back on that position, giving that opportunity I'm pretty sure that Casimero will not waste anything and he will prove that he's name should be on top the way it was when he still in his last division.

A Pacman 2.0? seems that with the current competitions, it's tough to earn that respect the way Pacquiao has when he's still actively fighting.

Not closing the door, but the chance for any Pinoy champ to achieve that is really slim.

Pacquiao is unique as it's rare to see a PH boxer dominating the Welterweight Division and able to keep up in the Light Welterweight. It's not about PH boxers who should experience the same as Pacquiao did but maybe the point here is, a consistent champion that truly can dominate a certain division.

One of the best examples of that is, Gabriel "Flash" Elorde who dominates the Featherweight Division for 7 years and 2 months with 10 successful title defenses. Another one is, Nonito Donaire Jr. who becomes a world champion across three consecutive decades: the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s, and is the oldest world title holder at the age of 39 when he beat Nordine Ouballi.

Mark Magsayo, as he was being discussed above, should take this losing experience to come back stronger next time. Pacquiao also loses on his career but was always able to come back stronger because of his serious approach to winning the next time he enters the ring.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 06, 2023, 10:37:47 PM
Just want to share that here in our country, the Philippines, most professional billiards players here came from scratch and their skills with that sport are their source of living to survive every day's challenges in life. They do gambling with other billiard players and compete. Billiard is a hype sport here and when someone scouted a person having skills in playing billiards, they will consider offering that person to make a partnership under them and that's the start.

Not all our lucky to have that future but it shows that it's really possible to make gambling a living but only applied to skill-based gambling.

If talking about winning big amounts in casino games where the winning amount can change the life of a person, then that's a different story as luck is the only thing that can make it happen regardless of how skilled the gambler is.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 06, 2023, 10:29:49 PM
Do we have some source where they're getting their replacement or aspiring player that shall be on board for a team? I am sure that it will be the first and foremost concern of the management to find someone who values professionalism and attitude.

None yet. It was just likely to happen for now but maybe I will give it 85% of happening since knowing Converge Head Coach Aldin Ayo, he is really strict with his players even how good they are. Remember the last conference when he benched their dominating import Quincy Miller for arriving late at the team's practice due to a birthday party? Even though that game is important, he didn't hesitate to bench their import.

Hopefully, their chosen import will be able to adjust with the team, or maybe Converge will just consider playing with an All-Filipino cast in the Quarterfinals.

But budget-wise, a waste of money indeed if the supposed new import will just play one game as Converge will be in the do-or-die status in the quarterfinals and that might be against a top team, either Ginebra or San Miguel Beermen right away.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 06, 2023, 10:20:29 PM
I guess their camp already know Donaire's current situation and probably already acknowledge that if Donaire will not be successful versus Santiago, then a retirement will be his only option. You know, that is just sad because it's not a good exit for him but it is what it is. Well, in the positive side, Donaire's chances are greater than decent because this Santiago is not really a threat.

If only Jason Moloney didn't back out of the supposed mandatory fight against Nonito Donaire for the vacant WBC Bantamweight title, he is the best opponent for Donaire to see if the 40 years old former champion can still dominate the bantamweight division now that Inoue is out of the list.

If Santiago will able to pull an upset against Donaire, then Donaire has no chance to beat other bantamweights.

Although I'm not looking at that upset possibility since in the very first place, Santiago was just being considered as the contender for the WBC Bantamweight title because boxers above him in rankings already have their respective fight schedule.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 06, 2023, 10:10:37 PM
But with Kevin Durant's presence, the team's chances got a boost as well as their confidence and you can see it in their face that they are not that scared anymore to take a risky shot because they know that they still got a lot of chance.

We will see it then once the playoffs commence. Knowing Kevin Durant, and his heavy playoff experienced, never seen him choking or doing some sudden change in his performance when playoffs time even losing. If he can affect the whole Phoenix Suns' intensity of play once playoffs come, the team would be deadly.

Who knows Durant is the only answer for Chris Paul not turning into useless shit during playoffs after giving his always best during the season.

Although I'm not rooting for the Suns to win the chip this season, I want to see Chris Paul experience holding the NBA Championship trophy in his career.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 05, 2023, 11:59:59 PM
If answering only the OP's question, I might say that gambling can earn someone a living.

Since only a few gamblers can make it, that's how difficult to make it a source of living. Aside from that, it's not that these gamblers will only focus on one gambling type like for example, just playing slot games. That was impossible to make a living out of only slot games unless hitting a life-changing amount. These gamblers who consider gambling as a living maybe also good at strategy-based gambling games like poker or have good analytical skills in sports betting.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos lack slot clubs; comps, is it hard to achieve? on: March 05, 2023, 11:59:54 PM
I already heard about those inexpensed paid trips but not the free shopping one. It was like they will give a free voucher? But, I think this one is kinda hassle. You know, they will still need to deliver it to the gamblers address and what if they are from far away places? It will be better if the casinos put the option to convert physical rewards into cash so that some people in those places will just opt for this.

No way. If it's bound to be a physical reward then let it stay at physical.

Besides, surely beforehand, it was already mentioned that the said reward will take place in a matter of days before being delivered.

It's a hassle if it will have it converted on cash as that wasn't part of the term. What's the point of that reward if it's convertible just because of concern about delivery time? Take it or leave it.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambler has 100% trust in each stake on: March 05, 2023, 11:59:39 PM
You can trust your favorite team of fighters as long as your analysis tells you that your favorite team of fighters has a chance to win a battle, it's ok to have 100% trust as long as you do analysis, but if there is money involved and in your analysis and your favorite team has little chance to win then you have to do the right thing and don't bet on them to protect your money or better skip betting.
It's ok to be a fanatic in one team or give them 100% of your trust but you don't throw your money your favorite team is the underdog, your money should be more important to you than your loyalty.

I have to disagree with you. There are really cases that bettors don't rely on analysis but just want to bet on their preferred team or athletes because simply, that's their favorite and not that they are loyal. If you are a bettor for long, you should understand that sometimes there is a feeling where we are really sure that our favorite will win regardless of the odds.

The best example is when your fellow countrymen have a competition outside the country especially here, basketball and boxing.

egardless of the odds, I will really put a risk of betting at them to show my support as no way I will place a bet for the other side.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 05, 2023, 11:59:31 PM
Lots of speculations that Converge lose that game on purpose as their import only scored lower compared to its usual in 35 minutes of playing. But looking at the standing, win or loss, I don't see how it will impact the final position of teams.

The courtside reporter also tells during the game that Franklin is always trying to make several hoops last game even if it's hard to attempt and not sure if it's going to be a successful shot. That's what Coach Ayo pointed out and maybe Franklin take it as a big deal.
