661  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: July 30, 2017, 03:43:06 PM
I can see that people nowadays are busy searching on money and everything depends on money. People nowadays never go to church just because they would rather earn money rather than praise God. Others do not pay respect to elders  because they earn money for them or richer than them. Well for you, is money above all things ?
At this point for a majority of the western world there is nothing more interesting than materialistic pursuits, and individualistic at that. There is nothing more than money for them because, simply put, they have nothing else to believe in. It's basically just hedonism and degeneracy weakening a society which will collapse and said money will become worthless, ah but what the hell does it matter anymore. Everyone is interested in money for something, but for a majority of the users on this forum I would be willing to bet they do not care for their kids or anything down the line. It will be a self-serving mindset till the day they die.

Shame we have no strong leaders or countries anymore.

Thank you for remind me about it, as we know we need money to buy everything that we have to.
But who are they? I believe majority of the users do care for their kids and money is not everything.
Family is everything, that's why a man looking for money to provide for their family life.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 02:36:39 PM
Most bitcoin users consider bitcoin cash as a threat for bitcoin or free money which cause most opinion is to sell bcc as soon as they get it on August 1st.
Well, I will do the same thing as bitcoin cash is just another altcoin even though they stated it better than bitcoin. Better or not, depend on the usability which none of those altcoins could compete with bitcoin. Maybe just because it is the number one coin and worth more than others, so people trust bitcoin.
663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: August 1 strategies. Opionion needed? on: July 30, 2017, 07:20:39 AM
Hello guys i have some strategies and assumptions for August 1. Can i get your opionions on them :

Strategy 1:
Buy bitcions now and get free BCC. Imdeiatly after the hardfork sell your bitcoins because the price of btc will drop for a short time. Then buy bitcoins again the next day or 2 a lot cheaper. I do belvie the price of btc will drop around 10% -20% for a short time after the bcc release,
But, do not buy bitcoin at the peak, as it seems decreases today, maybe it will continue to decrease tomorrow. So, yes buy bitcoin at $2400-$2500.

Strategy 2:
Put everything in USD. Wait for August 1st. Assuming the price will drop. Buy bitcions then.
Not a good idea as you will miss free cash from bcc on August 1st and it's not safe to buy bitcoin on that day as bitcoin nodes should be clear before everyone could send-receive bitcoin.

Strategy 3:
Buy altcoins now cheap, because btc is main interest and altcoins are cheap.
It can be a good idea as well, because some altcoins will increase/recover again on August I guess.

Main Assumption:
People are piling BTC now so they can get free BCC.

Opposite Assumption:
After the split. People will see big decrease in BCC price, because a lot of people will want to jsut dump. Which will be a signal for succsess for the BTC, in which case BTC price will go up.

Question:
What do you think is gonna happen to BTC price in Poloniex close before and during the August first split?
My assumption is that the price wil either freeze or it will start decreasing in fast pace. Because the people who want free BCC will have their coins in non-exchange wallets already.

Bcc price will dump hard and bitcoin will rise because people may transfer cash from bcc to bitcoin.
I'm not sure about Poloniex, but I've seen any statement they will support bcc, they said maybe.
“We cannot commit to supporting any specific blockchain that may emerge if there is a blockchain split. Even if two viable blockchains emerge, we may or may not support both and will make such a decision only after we are satisfied that we can safely support either blockchain in an enterprise environment,” http://www.trustnodes.com/2017/07/25/bitmex-says-no-bitcoin-cash-poloniex-says-maybe-bitcoin-com-says
So, you may send bitcoin to bitfinex or kraken as they already said will support bcc.
664  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-30]Are Asian Investors Going Short On Cryptocurrencies? on: July 30, 2017, 06:33:04 AM
Digital currencies such as bitcoin and ethereum as the most famous coins, always judged as 'bad' for banksters due to some disadvantages it has such as volatility and, He said : Their volatility, to begin with, speaks very much against them being a store of value. They are paradoxically very advanced from a technological point of view but extremely backward, stone-age like in terms of monetary system.
Stone age? Bitcoin is a better technology than bank systems who control so many debts, fiat currency has some weakness as well especially its value keep decreasing over time because of inflation, but not for bitcoin. Bitcoin just need more time to develop further and resolve some problems including volatility.
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rally is premature - 4 days left on: July 29, 2017, 04:52:52 PM
I think people are buying BTC in prep for the BCC airdrop too early.
With four days left, it is unlikely that we will get four big green days, especially considering how close we are to ATH.
This rally is premature, whales, shorters and smart money will realize that in the crypto world 4 days can cause a huge ripple and that there is plenty of time to enter for the free BCC (which will be worthless by then, but that's a different topic).
I expect a drop some time back to 2500 before Aug 1st for sure. You are actually far more likely to make money buying ETH, than you are trying to capitalize on the free (and worthless) coins.
This is NOT the same as ETH/ETC. BCC is basically an alt by a third party.

And now two days left before hard fork and bitcoin price seems stable within $2600-$2700, when bcc launched its likely to drop hard immediately.
Bitcoin price may drop after hard fork but I doubt it could drop below $2000 again, maybe around $2500 before hardfork and I consider it as normal in daily trading market. But, if you expect for cheaper bitcoin, wait until hard fork as you may find it around $2200-$2300.
666  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So today i moved from polo to bittrex on: July 29, 2017, 03:58:25 PM
I decided to move all my exchange from polo to bittrex for one simple reason, polo seems to have the worst ( or even innexistant ) support i've seen so far.

I applyed for lvl2 verif on both bittrex and polo at the same date, few hours later bittrex was approved but polo never did and it's now more than 3 weeks. I made a ticket for the issue one week ago and still no answer. After just little google i found numerous other people that had issue with polo and took ages before they have answer.

The move went kinda smooth other than the confirmation lin from polo that all linked to "oops error on confirmation link" but ended up transfering the coins correctly. Another nail in the coffin polo ...

Bittrex and Poloniex become the most famous trading sites and there are some issues regards both exchanges.
But, as long as you fell it is better than other, the choice is in your hand, I just recommend to be careful and put some amount that you can afford to lose, just in case. Because my bittrex account ever got hacked or locked, do not want to use their service anymore.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two BTC? on: July 29, 2017, 03:17:27 PM
Lol i feel you. I'm such a newbie and really don't understand about this august 1. What i only know is just bitcoin will split.
What's going to happen though? Except that the price might be drop and such.
I'm clearly clueless... Someone please help explain this to me. Because usually i read that people don't really know too about this.

Remember, there is always one, only one bitcoin. BTC is bitcoin and BCC is Bitcoin Cash
On August 1st, it’s likely the Bitcoin blockchain will split into two different coins. The UAHF (User Activated Hard Fork) is incompatible with the current Bitcoin protocol and will create a separate blockchain, and bcc just has minority support from miners and exchanges.
So, no need to worry about it, just wait until all clear about hard fork, and we could transact bitcoin again on August 2nd, hopefully soon.
668  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10th August - Price Prediction? on: July 28, 2017, 11:52:12 PM
Hello,

How do you think, what value of bitcoin will be 10th August ?
It is very important day to me that is why I am asking what are your feelings about it and why u think so ?

Thanks for your comments Wink
If SegWit2x after activited normaly and not have problem, I think the price of Bitcoin in August 10th will increasing and breakout more resistance line. Maybe the price of Bitcoin can reach $3500-$4000 in August.

We could only speculate about bitcoin price on August 10 but give some evidences to support our opinion is a good thing.
My concern is seegwit2x, after you've mentioned about it affect bitcoin price, so we have to watch over about this proposal, how is it going? when it will be lock-in? I am sure bitcoin price on August 10th will increase more than $3000 if hard fork isn't a problem which cause more bad news regards the development.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FREE money in the form of BCC? on: July 28, 2017, 11:09:44 PM
This seems to be what most people on hear are saying will happen yet they are all still ensuring they get their BCC.

The problem i see is they are banking on being able to get in on the dump at a good price to make some sort of profit from BCC. Isnt the concensus that BTC will take a dive in price upon the fork before it then recovers from everyone jumping back on? if that is the case my thoughts would be to sell BTC now high, then buy more BTC when it drops, seems a better profit situation than hoping on BCC

But bitcoin price seems stable over $2700 right now, you can sell and hope it decline, but what if it won't?
On the other hand, bcc will be dumped as soon as it launched and there is some chance it will rise again, whether people sell right away or wait another pump, in the end bcc will lose too much value because people wants profits by sell free bcc.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Howard Marks Calls Bitcoin "A Pyramid Scheme" on: July 27, 2017, 11:54:25 PM
These renowned investors, including Warren Buffet might not have the slightest clue of what they're saying about bitcoin. We get it, most of these guys are bankers and trust and support the banking system that's why they keep on saying these negative things about bitcoin. They might be experienced and well-versed in investing but their definition of a pyramid scheme is way off. No one is recruiting anyone to get their money to buy bitcoin. It is the buyer's personal choice.

Agree, people invest on bitcoin because they believe in bitcoin could be profitable for long term investment instead of just store fiat currency which its value decreases over time. Bitcoin isn't a pyramid scheme but it is a bubble where the value growing because new investors put money into it, and earlier investors could get those money and so on. For the new investors, they have to wait others people buy bitcoin in order to get profits. The point is bitcoin value will stop growing somewhere in the future, but the usability should be increase over time and used as mainstream digital currency in daily life.
671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin Over Market Price? on: July 27, 2017, 04:48:36 PM
If you could get bitcoin at a certain price and then sell it to another exchange or person...
why not look for a buyer... then buy your bitcoin from an exchange... then sell that bitcoin to a buyer for profit?  The issue of course is you need to make sure the price doesnt drop much between when you get the actual bitcoin in your wallet and doing the transaction with the other user.

The problem is "look for a buyer", who wants to trust you?
They trust local bitcoin to deposit and buy bitcoin, instead take a risk to be scammed by some people that offers cheaper bitcoin.
So, consider to find a potential buyer before buy bitcoin and sell it, because the stakes even higher due to bitcoin prices volatility.
But, it is still a good decision to buy bitcoin at current price because the value will increasing as time goes on obviously.
672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is now dropping again on: July 25, 2017, 10:44:08 PM
Bitcoin Cash is a token that may exist in the near future due to a user-activated hard fork (UAHF) that will bifurcate the Bitcoin blockchain into two branches, there is nothing to worry as miners will always support bitcoin, Bitmain is a pool which stated may support BCC, but they still signaling for bit 1. People just speculate about how hard fork could affect bitcoin price, but as we know bcc is an altcoin which its price determined through supply and demand such as bitcoin. Current price of bcc keep decreasing and may drop harder if everyone get bcc on August 1st as people tend to sell altcoins Cheesy
673  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now... or on July 31st? on: July 24, 2017, 11:15:56 PM
It looks like the biggest uncertainties will be resolved this Friday, July 21st. With far above 80% support for SegWit2x, August 1st should not matter anymore (as BIP 148 will not trigger).

That would mean between now and Thursday should be the best time to buy.

On the other hand, August 1st is passed around everywhere as the "day of doom." Many uninformed people out there. So maybe wait till July 31st to buy? And will there be any risks left after Segwit is activated later this week?

The key question is: How much FUD will be left in the market after Friday...?

You were right, as since July 21st bitcoin price has started to recover. But BIP91 has been locked-in, and August 1st won't be the doom day obviously.
I am sure there are some people who wants to spread fud news about chain split in order to get cheaper coins, but we don't know how the market react to those news because bitcoin price has stayed over $2700 for days. If you want to buy, wait for all this bad news are over, because we might have one more dip before segwit be activated.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Whats next after BIP 91? on: July 24, 2017, 05:47:45 PM
After reading about BIP 91 on coindesk, this obviously isn't a permanent solution for the possible fork in BTC. Does anyone know what will come after in the coming months?

There won't be any problems for August but the next step is going to be a hardfork to 2 MB blocks I think in November. This is where the real problems could start.

For now, we could just speculate about what will happen on August but miners seems enforcing BIP91 which likely lead to segwit activation. The maximum block size after hard fork is not 2Mb but it could be 8Mb, doesn't mean it will be good for us and I tend to not support it.
After BIP91 has been locked-in, to activate segwit2x requires 80% hash rate and the deadline on July 29. And fyi segwit2x is = segwit + hard fork to a larger block size. Segwit will be activated but hard fork won't be, I guess.
675  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Keeping up to date with the latest cryptocurrency news - my solution on: July 24, 2017, 01:45:39 PM
I just visited your site and I really appreciate your efforts, simple and interesting to read the latest news about cryptocurrencies.
BUt, I am wondering about what happen with "up to date"? It seems the latest news added about 15-16 hours ago, maybe you are busy right now or what?
Thank you for sharing this site, but I hope you could make an app for iphone and android instead of just a site as people always check their smartphone and the app could notify us.
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I invest On BITCOIN right Now or Later on: July 24, 2017, 01:22:55 PM
Should I invest On BITCOIN right Now or Later of August 1. Or
Should I go with Altcoin, If Altcoin Than Which Altcoin is Best for long run investment like 1 year .Please mention the altcoin names

As being a newbies your advised will be Very helpful to me in long run .

If you are aiming for long term investment, then bitcoin is the best option than any other altcoins.
Current price of bitcoin seems pretty high compare to all time high at $3000, and it's likely to drop a bit on August due to chain split issue.
Do not buy when bitcoin price at the higher point and buy whenever dips occurs, try to divide your funds into several entry point.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The "I cannot afford 1 BTC"-Problem on: July 24, 2017, 12:59:17 PM
Hi everyone,

I have a question concerning the current high value of a BTC. I talk a lot with friends who don't know much about BTC and try to convince them to buy some too.

When I tell them about it, the same question which always comes up is:

"But since it is so expensive (2000-3000$), how can I afford 1 BTC?"

I always tell them that it is possible to buy 0.5 BTC or even 0.001 BTC. But I think this is a major problem which gets worse with the price rising even higher.

So here is my question:

Are there any plans on changing BTC to make it "look more affordable"? Perhaps introduce something like mBTC (worth 0.001 BTC / 1 BTC = 1000 mBTC) so that people have a better feeling buying something, which is not a number behind a zero (e.g. 0.025).

I don't want it to become something like a "discount looking currency". But it's a psychological problem, that people don't like to buy only a part of something or (as in this case) often don't know that they can buy less than 1 BTC.

To say "Well, the people who don't know better shouldn't buy anyway" seems to be the wrong approach on the way to mass adaption.
mBTC, uBTC, BITS, Satoshi, and a whole lot of other stuff already exist. you can read more about it here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Units

and most wallets already have the option to switch between these popular units that i named so you can see what you are most comfortable with.

Consider as answered, clearly about "discount looking currency" as you want, it has been stated since long time ago Cheesy
The most famous units are:
- BTC       : 1
- mBTC    : 1,000
- uBTC     : 1,000,000
- satoshi  : 100,000,000
Even though it seems bigger but its value still the same, after they are figure it out about bitcoin units.
What's matter is whether they know about the advantages of bitcoin, purchase BTC1 at rate $2750 indeed require big amount of money, but as long as they know the value keep growing over time, then it shouldn't be problem anymore.
678  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fear Of August 1st on: July 23, 2017, 11:51:42 PM
BIP91 activated and lock-in, we just need waiting result from this Soft Fork for decivision buy or sell Bitcoin in next time. In my opinion, maybe have some bad news about BIP91 lock-in failure when processing and make the price of Bitcoin crash in short time, but it will recovery soon
This question I also have maybe within this weekend we will get one more price crash in Bitcoin. This is a just expectation it may fall or may not be. But after that, the price must increase. The exchanges are buying our coins $150 less price to compare present price I don't know why and what their intention.
i do not think that the price of bitcoin will fell down anymore.i think now we can only expect that the price of bitcoin will continue increase and there will be not such downfall in the price of bitcoin, in fact people are now too much confident about the price of bitcoin and therefore they are not selling their bitcoin any more and are still continue to buy it.
Not if the possibility for a split in the network is still lurking in the background. The core developers are going along with their proposal for UASF come August 1st and that clearly shows the storm isn't over yet. Best to be cautious with buying especially as the date draws nearer.

Just another speculation to shake the market I guess, bitcoin core said this or that because they want everyone to be prepared.
I'm sure, bitcoin will facing problem on August 1st, but as stated before, do not transact using bitcoin within 24-48 hours on that day.
Everyone who in trading business should see it as a chance to buy cheaper coins due to if bitcoin price drop back, altcoins are following to decline as well.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves and ETH rising soon to the moon? on: July 23, 2017, 04:13:45 PM
Ethereum and waves prices based on supply and demand, factors which influence is usability of those coins.
We know ethereum and waves has a good market and many people invest or use it for investment projects, so it should be rise in the future.
I know waves will rise even further due to its service has been used by many people and waves offers some good features.
But, I doubt about ethereum, current price at $226 seems persist for now and won't go up, I mean it is the highest point after significant drop last week.

It will guide you on how to export your Android wallet to your desktop wallet and then you will see your coin. Good luck

Thanks for share this link, I've been looking for it for weeks Cheesy and such a good deal to involve on dimcoin bounty share as we know BTC2345,65 has been collected so far.
