Alright, was on track to get namecoin payouts done... right now... but, found a stupid little bug in my code that calculated payouts incorrectly using historic difficulty data, causing some people to have slightly less of a payout amount than the should have due to using a higher difficulty for the math than should have been.  Not off by much, but, still not really fair to go by. Sad

Rerunning the number crunch again to get everything perfect.  It took about 7 hours last time to process the last several months of data in the database needed to do the calculation.  This time, though, I have the code ready to go.  So, as soon as it's done, or as soon as I wake up in the morning (if it's not done before I head to bed) I will get the namecoins pushed out the door to you all after some quick sanity checks.

SWEET!!!!! Thanks WK!!!

My workers keep switching back and forth between eligius and the backup pool. This started about 2 days ago and continues today.
Any ideas why this might be happening? It almost looks like the hash rate is divided evenly between the backup and eligius.

you sure you don't have load balance on?

At one point it said i was in the next block 25 BTC in front of me then suddenly its now 553 btc ahead of me..not sure how that happens..

me either....

and for me getting the mined BTC into my wallet is just as important for my mission in life.

How can we help to make Eligius more reliable??

donate more Smiley give WK gifts of redbull?

Did anyone learn anything from the BFL liars? never trust a asic company period Cheesy they say one thing do another...and it'll happen with every asic company too Tongue if you owned a asic company and was able to make knc dc, would you stick to your promise? hell no you wouldn't Tongue and if you said yes you should go work for BFL or any asic company hehe
666  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: May 28, 2014, 10:05:00 AM

you can do 231 or 241 oc with 4 vrm boards for 320 or so...just don't push the vrms over 60a tops i'd say...and that itself is pushing it and if you don't have extra cooling..if you get heatsinks n extra fans you can use 251 max i'd say for 8vrm with extra cooling you can do 291 no problem

Thank you!
Noob question, what is the 231 or 241 value?

its the oc setting ya use...either with padrino FW or ssh and editing a file

I've been reading through and fiddling around but maybe I can save some time here..

Are there definite/optimal settings for Oct Jupes?

5 Total 2 with die issues.

ya pretty much max settings for oct jups...if ya try 251 w/o extra cooling you'll get temp warning on vrms

was running my nov rig at 0.000v n 335...but one die would drop out..so i slowly started droping the volts n oc til it was happy staying on all the time Smiley but you have 3 vrms that aren't happy and on different dies so idk if that is your problem or not...also those vrms are little toasty...I would go that high if it was my rig...you'll melt the solder off it Cheesy

Thanks for the advice, dropped the clocks and the voltages and they seem to be more stable now and are staying on.

However contrary to what I would expect the VRM's are getting even hotter than my other boards Huh

Lower your frequency, or heatsink/cool your vrm's.

You will all have them at zero if you keep them at +95C each.

or just take'em outta the case and get some motherboard standoffs to hold them up and then a fan in front...easy setup and cools them off way better then having them in a case...but ya what tzortz said...its really hot in there Tongue

Just got saturn back online ... directly from hosting

What are others getting from a Saturn Overclocked?
I should try first but .... If changing the die# to 775Mhz does it make a difference or I need to change as well the voltage?

thx

I'm curious as to what you pay too...

Mainly to make sure I'm not overpaying at my DC.

OP said it right in his OP hehe 2700 a month per 10th/s

674  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: May 26, 2014, 02:21:35 PM
My november jupiter had been running along nicely around 750GH, but recently the speeds have dropped.

Looking under advanced I see the following

Die 1 and Die 4 are both showing 0 voltage, if I leave it alone in a few minutes it starts up again and hashes normally, runs for a few minutes and then back to 0 again.

Before I start messing with clocks and voltages thought I'd ask if anyone else has had this and the best way to fix it.

My October Jup is dying  - every now & then it stops hashing and says pool URL invalid in PuTTy.

a few reboots/restarts/curse words later and it usually gets back down the shaft

but its happening more often and requiring more effing about to get it back hashing.

in fairness it could do with a scrub - but that can wait.

how about them refunds?

Maybe their hardware is really not as good as everyone said it was. Their products are only around 8 months old.

well mine has been great...running oc'd to the sky and most i've notice was dark spots underneath so i put some heatsinks down there and hopefully they will last Cheesy just bought another oct jup...thou it does whine at high oc still a trooper...and also a nov jup that is oc'd almost all the way to pad's max mhz cept for 1 mod...think the vrm isn't liking it...i guess it is all luck about what unit ya got Cheesy no asic company is perfect and remember they didn't have time to stress test these things...but still doesn't make up for the past dealings they have done to their customers...one true statement is all asic companies are greedy fucks n will never care about their customers and if they say they do they are lieing to get you to buy more asics Tongue

Do you have any pics of how you have done it with the heatsinks?

buy something like http://www.ebay.com/itm/151291978376?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

they have sticky tape on them..just put them on the bottom where the vrms are...idk if they'll fit back into the case that way cause i don't use a case anymore...dropped my temps just taking them out lol
676  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS several 400+ GH/s Hashfast Babyjet bitcoin asic miners! on: May 25, 2014, 06:47:58 PM
You don't have to worry about 6 month time frame.  Its pretty much almost useless after 3 months.

agreed...pretty bold to use 6month as a time frame...i really don't like using 3 but most ppl won't sell it so that the buyer has a chance of ROI...i'm just playing the diff. rate change game in hopes it won't raise that fast before i ROI hehe
677  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: May 25, 2014, 05:00:01 PM
Yesterday I got new electrical wires for my miners, so I was offline for half a day. Last night I woke up and made a quick check on the statistics, to discover internet connection has been lost. This morning everything was o.k. but... I get no shares from the pool

Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

i had to reserve my computers/miners and stuff on my router or sometimes it disappears....had this happen on my KNC Jupiter connected but no hashing
I just unplug it and plug it in again ...only happened like 3x since I got it..but always seems to then work..kinda odd but it has been up 7 months...24/7.

Others on here probably have better ideas...all that comes to mind with my experiences.

Searing

Thanks for pointing me to the router and cables, Searing and Alan. Worked my way through both.. unfortunately no success. Anyway's: both router and plugs are freshned up!

Still don't understand how something that worked fine for months and months straigt, all of the sudden went wrong. Without althering anyting. Maybe Slush' software sees me as a poolhopper and kicked me out?

This is what I get: (click to enlarge)

you using a netgear router? those routers are cheap for a reason...i had one and using all 4 ports would cause it to lag out with me n my wife gaming and 2 gpu miners on it...it is now being used as a switch for my 3 jups and seems fine with it...although i bought this fancy asus router n that little shit would just freeze up...i'm hoping FW fixes it or its getting returned...good luck to you

How about a panoramic?

damn i have an asic 'boner' crosses legs

how much is all that (braces self may 'swoon')

I really love that rack. Well organised, clean etc. I really hope one day I would have one like that too!

There is one thing that - as a network / dc tech makes he tick. Why the different color of cables? - my OCD hopes its cause some are customer ones and some are your own Tongue

The majority of the "different" cables are, I believe power cables, most of the cat5 cables are red with one rack of blue. But the black/red/yellow ones are breakouts from the server psu's

rack 4 from the right, theres both red and white cables going into the S2's .... *tick tick tick*

if you don't like it, don't look at it Tongue i love looking at that setup and wish i had it Sad
