661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO STARTED | 20% BONUS | FULL ESCROW | AFFILIATE PROGRAM | TESTNET on: May 14, 2016, 06:37:29 AM
Yup. will have to wait and see.  Tongue

Still 28 days left of the ICO so 4 full weeks. hard to know the price this early in. I like how they have a solid plan and they're working on it every day. Rise shall rise...  Grin

I agree, I'm very encouraged at the lineup of things to come for RISE and the daily progress being made by the dev. Their team is on top of it.

So far they look like a good team I agree, the only problem I see at the moment is they have only raised 95 btc and waves and lisk did way more. I don't know it that's a good thing or a bad thing.

only 95 BTC? that's not a good thing. it takes cold hard cash to fund development.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 13, 2016, 10:48:00 AM
Lisk launches 24th May. DAO's linear price increase tops out 24th May. is this a coincidence? both companies are German.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 12, 2016, 02:13:56 PM
When will the DAO Crowdfund end?  Im kind of confused  Huh

it lasts 30 days.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 12, 2016, 02:12:39 PM
the DAO literature states that "both Gatecoin and Bittrix are planning to support the trading of DAO Token as early as the end of the DAO Token Creation".

so does the buyer of DAO Tokens on an exchange receive same rights (voting, splitting, et.c.) as an ICO buyer?
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 12, 2016, 12:47:50 PM
bitbitch and TraderBill, both of your ideas seem plausible. Of course the rush to participate in the DAO is driving up the price of ether. It does seem likely that the price of ether would go down once the buying pressure reduces.

At the same time it will be interesting to see what happens once the DAO starts funding slock.it and other projects. Say that the DAO "invests" 1 million dollars worth of ether, they'll need to cash out that to a local fiat currency at some point, unless developers, team management, contractors etc all except ether. Dumping that on an exchange would really push down the price.

the halving is a big unknown, but i might consider exchanging some ETH for BTC before cashing out to fiat. the time frame for life beyond the DAO ICO phase is not clear to me.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 12, 2016, 12:45:13 PM
It is quite extraordinary to see how people on slock.it slack are bashing Poloniex.
I mean, talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
ETH owes a lot of its success due to the fact that poloniex offered it a platform on which it has been artificially pumped.
Furthermore, I find the manner in which the SLock. It guys are waiting to see how much money TheDAO raises prior to giving a figure on the amount of dosh they need, quite frankly, plain scammy.
Don't they know already how much money they need?
 Roll Eyes

why the Poloniex bashing?
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 12, 2016, 12:10:15 PM
Can the LiskHQ team please communicate a bit in here about the recent progress.
Also can you please officially confirm that the launch date is sitll May the 24th, 2016?

Hello bitcoinbox,

I hereby confirm the 24th May. As it is written in the OP and the latest blog post. Smiley

Oliver is currently developing day and night with the help of two community members (Rabid and Fixcrypt) to make Lisk ready for launch. He is fixing some stuff which came up with the last test of snapshotting edge cases. The problem was, that if you take a snapshot while you are in a fork and now distribute it, and the majority of the network takes your snapshot, the network itself becomes a fork mess. He is also working towards releasing Lisk v0.2.2 this week and reset the testnet.

I am currently working closely together with transformPR and other individuals to hype Lisk up again for launch. I prepared a very tight schedule for new blog posts, which will from now on appear quite often. Additionally, we will push out a lot of press releases to get more articles on outlets. I also plan to buy some advertisements on various crypto pages. Practically, Lisk should be everywhere. Smiley

Joel is working on the bounties as usual and is the voice of the community. He is speaking with a lot of Lisk users on our Lisk chat, answering our support requests, and helping us with other internal stuff. Additionally, he is working some interesting topics for launch/soon after launch.

A LOT is happening in the background, and I'd love to see more Lisk signatures again and you guys talking everywhere about Lisk. (Without spamming Smiley )

It would also be great if you contact every exchange to list LISK at launch or soon after.

Max great job !!!
And I am very happy to be part of this ...
And if ever you still come up with something the promising, I'm ready to be with your team again Smiley

Thanks. Smiley

What is the biggest Dapp idea for lisk at this moment ??
If you'd have a good idea that you planning to develop, would you tell it to everyone?

I would! Cheesy But I'm usually very open with my ideas.

I think the biggest ideas are:

- Sharing economies (think Uber, AirBnB)
- Decentralized Storage as a Dapp (think StorJ, Sia)
- Decentralized exchange
- Decentralized Torrent
- Decentralized VPN
- Internet of Things

are you in Berlin 1st June?
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 12, 2016, 11:55:45 AM
i expect ETH to start sliding after day 15 of the DAO. the rate of decay should roughly match the rate of increase in the price of joining the DAO, unless whales work to keep it artificially high until day 24.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 12, 2016, 11:36:36 AM
I thought 30+ Million USD was a huge success for the DAO. Checked in again today and it's over 48(!) million USD. That's one heck of a DAO funding venture platform!
Besides slock.it and Mobotiq, are there any other proposals that are available to start reading? More to be presented after the launch in 2 weeks?

now we are on the run to hit 100+ Million USD at the end. the more they collect the more risk is involved with the dao.

only 46h left before price change, be fast guys Cheesy

I would buy at the end of the ICO so you know actually more facts and having less risk to lose your money.

The dump will be legendary.  90% losses will be seen.

and what will happen to ETH price?
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][RISE] Rise | ICO STARTED 25% BONUS | FULL ESCROW | AFFILIATE PROGRAM on: May 12, 2016, 10:17:59 AM
who much has been raised so far?

how much is needed as a minimum to get this project off the ground?

74 BTC so far. There is no minimum, but they want around 1.2k BTC for everything they have planned ( ACRE project ). Else they are just going to focus on technical plate of RISE as far as I read it.

thanks.

74 BTC. so at the moment there's still some way to go. of it fails to reach the target is the money refunded?

Mobotiq seems very hard to get right.

673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: May 12, 2016, 10:01:26 AM
Well with over 6 investments I am in to the tune of 20 Bitcoin and like all crypto investments you take your chances. I have some in Waves and stayed well clear of the new xpy Ions. With interest in banks so low you just have to take some chances but then again I am single and my mortgage paid off.

Wow! Im only 11 BTC in this lucky you!!!!!1 There is another wild card on here https://rise.vision/ico

I think more risky but higher risk = greater returns Smiley I only went in 0.5 BTC

Crypto is the future dont worry you will be mega riiiich Smiley

Happy bitcoin everyone.

Alex is not so sure about Rise. it's so hard to tell what is and what is not legitimate in the ICO world. throwing money at the wall and seeing what sticks is not my way of investing. i need solid background information. Elastic, for example, looks interesting but the project leaders will not disclose a single fact about who they are and refuse to use escrow for the funds. i just don't get that kind of attitude.
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: May 12, 2016, 09:19:56 AM
Thanks for the response.

I won't go through responding to Rassah's points as I evidence to support parts of my post he was responding to was and still is in the OP. Whether people want to believe his claims over evidence is something I have no control over. I did my part at highlighting why putting money with Mycelium doesn't seem like a good idea from an investor's perspective but aside of that there's not much I can do to prevent money from being burned.

i appreciate your efforts.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 12, 2016, 07:48:23 AM
i may donate a nominal sum to gain an understanding from the inside of how this DAO will work, but as an investment proposition it has far too many unknowns.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium's "crowdsale": basically a donation, not an investment by any means on: May 11, 2016, 12:12:34 PM
is Mycelium going to corner the wallet market? i would invest if the terms were more generous. 5% of just the wallet product is mean.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 11, 2016, 09:28:52 AM
all i seen are waves and rise campaign whores begging for no delay Grin a few dao crap and vaporware ethernium bagholders.
this must say something. kakakaka

Rise ICO is a joke, but I wouldn't mind another 1 week delay till end of May to ensure ZERO flow of value from Lisk marketCap to Waves & Dao ICOs.  Wink

i agree. 1 week delay till june 1 would be perfect. this would shut them fuckers up or will hype and make their blood boil? kakaka
this would also make lisk mainnet stronger and secured!

launching 1st June in Berlin would be ideal. Waves closed, DAO closed.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: May 11, 2016, 09:23:07 AM
What's the estimated price per WAVES right now?  Anyone know?
Last time I checked it was about $0.04 cents per Wave.

So does the price go up every time peeps buy or does it go down? I am always confused about that, maybe because it's like 5.30 am here lol.

Also can my Husband join the FB and subscription by email campaign even if he isn't a member of bitcointalk? I would be happy to send in both our i.ds for verification if that was necessary before collecting a bounty.  Smiley.

My stash has just fallen below 2 K WAVES now so I will probably need to collect a few more before the end of the ICO. I don't want to be below 2k WAVES.  Cry

Also can anyone tell me how you are coming to predictions of between 0.75 and 1 usd per WAVE and in what time frame you consider this a viable price? Just interested to know how Peeps come up with these prices.
Speculation everyone these days trying to get rich off their own coins haha

If WAVES is currently @ 0.04 Cents then I am already at a loss because 1909 WAVES has cost me 0.2054998 btc and if it goes down more and more and I end up with only 1k WAVES that means I will be even more at a loss? Or am i misunderstanding the whole ICO process lol, someone enlighten me before I invest more Smiley
It is just very simple the more your waves decreases the more the value increases. Me, I will be happy if my waves will significantly decrease in a daily basis as that would only imply that more investors are coming in.

WRONG: It is just very simple the more your waves decreases the more the value increases.

CORRECT: The value of your Waves is ONLY decided when you go to sell them on a exchange.. The market sets the price: THE ICO price is the price set by MATH : and that only determines the price you paid at the ICO offering. You hope is to sell them for MORE than you paid.. The reason the SUPPLY goes down is there is a fixed amount so the more investors that join the LESS coins you end up with: it has NOTHING to do with future value.

But the point is there will be less available btc to invest in waves after the ico if everyone that wants to get in has already invested.

your thinking would be sound if the economic principle of 'perfect information' applies, that the entire potential market has knowledge of Waves. this is not the case. crypto is a micro ecosystem. there is the macro economy beyond it.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 11, 2016, 08:46:57 AM

It looks like slock.it is a corporation. They have nothing to do with TheDAO or $DAO. Should the DAO vote to give slock.it money so slock.it can get rich? hmmmm

who came up with the idea of creating this DAO?
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DigixDAO] Crowdsale campaign start on: May 11, 2016, 07:22:45 AM
WTS up to 1273 DGD for .027 btc or .98 ETH each.

This is the cheapest price anywhere listed. Escrow only. Serious inquiries only. Pm me if interested.

"a thread that is not even being maintained by the Digix team because DGD is a ETH blockchain token, not a bitcoin blockchain asset. SMH." - windjc

then why do you try to sell your "ETH blockchain token" in this very thread?

What? Your logic is all over the place. The following facts are not exclusive:

1. This thread is not an official thread.
2. I posted several weeks ago a pre-launch price I was willing to sell at.
3. The price is currently higher than that price and I am holding.
4. You are a troll.

sorry, but you are hoisted by your own petard. criticising me for writing about an "ETH blockchain token" (your words) in this thread having already tried to use this thread to sell the very same token you hold is hypocrisy.

just try to be consistent in your behaviour.
