661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 26, 2021, 09:18:35 PM
That was really shocking, just imagine, Canelo just bully Callum Smith in their fight and he bounced back with a very big win. You can also tell that Canelo is just too superior that he can make a good boxer look bad when they are in the ring.

Castillon is fine now by the way https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/9/25/22693564/update-lenin-castillo-hospital-fine-after-frightening-knockout-callum-smith-dazn-boxing-news-2021

The writing on the wall is clear.. Canelo is just dominating his weight class, similar to what Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Wladimir Klitschko and GGG did during their peak years. He is just 31 years old and I don't foresee any significant competition for him in the next 2-3 years at least. And I am really getting worried about Caleb. He made a few statements (probably being told to do so by the organizers), and it might have got Canelo really irritated. I am afraid that Caleb will be beaten to pulp on November 6th.

With what happened during the press-con that aggressiveness shown from how Canelo react will bring impact when this two already inside the ring.

Caleb needs to carefully observe how Canelo bring him the fight, once Alvarez start to attack and Caleb don't have
any counter we might expect a KO knowing the skillsets of Canelo he's very good beating up his opponent with ugly outcome.

Just like what both of you observe, Canelo is too superior and he can add that superiority against Plant.

Plant has to double the effort in training but not to overtrain so he will still be 100% during the fight which he obviously needs it. Canelo is too superior, Caleb needs more training than his trash-talking to beat Canelo, and it's not impossible though the chance is very slim as long as he is focused on his goal.

Who knows, we can have another upset after Usyk won over Joshua? Though Canelo has really a lot of advantages over Caleb but sometimes their preparation is the key to their success inside the ring. So Canelo should not underestimate what Caleb can do, he needs to cover all angles to win on this fight.

the start went quite well. they have now increased their market cap from 100k to 1.5m in 4 days.

The partnership with ARCA Space is confirmed.

A really promising project.

Is the OP the official rep of this project? He can introduce this project in a much better way as it seems they have resources to begin with. With actual partnership, this will signify that the project will push thru even if they will not get their target funds via crowdsourcing. But hopefully, the team will be more active here and give us updates regarding their progress.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shall We Hold Our Bitcoin Like Gollum? on: September 25, 2021, 09:35:09 PM
I also learn from failure. When the profit reaches 20%, I will withdraw the profit. If I lose 20%, I'll sell. Sometimes it's hard to do. When I sold, I would complain that I could have made more. This is wrong.
When you lose 20%, it is better to hold and not sell it for that price because losing 20% will be big for you. Perhaps, if the price is down 10%, you can sell bitcoin and buy back at a low price. But we know if the price will still go down or it will be back to the high price. And if you think that selling at losing 20% is the best thing you can do, you can do that. But you need to think twice before you sell at a loss. So hold bitcoin like Gollum will be the best thing that we can do in the bear run.
You know, its really our own choice if we just keep holding our bitcoins like gollums do or sell whenever there are chances to make profits. There may be some of us who will definitely sell it and convert into fiat because there is a need for emergency funds. Whatever it is, as long as its becoming productive on our part, either selling or holding, then its still a good way to go. For me, i used to hold before like really long term but then when some problems start to arise, i start selling some of my coins because its badly needed though, while holding some of them for future profits.

This really depends on the financial situation of the holder. It is true, some of us really do need our crypto to be converted to fiat for personal expenses. But for some, who can hold without worrying their funds, because they can afford, those can be long time holders. But if you want to get profit from your investments, there's nothing wrong cashing out when you are in positive profit. We can't tell others to hold if they have other concerns to attend to. So this one is a very subjective matter.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: September 25, 2021, 08:52:34 PM
I honestly haven't heard of this guy before so I have to look it up on YouTube for his highlights lol.
I just found out that Donaire has still a very huge chances to win against this young fighter.
This guy Gaballo is a solid puncher, but he still needs precision to his punches or else he'll end up not hitting a single solid punch against an agile Donaire.
Though Gaballo may be undefeated, but he hasn't fought against an elite fighter. I guess this will be the beginning of his career.
Everyone begins somewhere and it seems that this is going to be the first real test on the career of Gaballo, however the fact that he has the punching power always gives him a chance, how many fights we have seen in which a fighter seems to have no chance of winning the fight and then they connect a good punch an that is more than enough to win the fight or at least to change the course that it was having, so Donaire still needs to be careful so this does not happen to him.
The problem here is Donaire cannot KO Gaballo, he might be at a disadvantage as Gaballo is the younger fighter and he has better stamina than Donaire. So my point here is, Donaire should go for a KO early, otherwise, the decision might favor Gaballo if he gets tired in the later rounds.

Usually, that's the reason why a lot of older boxers get lost in the game. When the fight go the distance, their stamina is being tested and sometimes younger opponents have their advantage on that. So yeah, Donaire should finish the fight at early rounds or else, Gaballo has the chance to win via split decision. Both are Filipinos, so don't know where Filipinos are on this match. Either way, they are both pride of their country.
665  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🐒 ApeSwap partnership on: September 24, 2021, 11:06:41 PM
While I understand the concerns and there is some truth in it: listing it on binance will probably first give a huge pump followed by a dump but I don't think it will crash to 0. They will not put so much effort in listing the tokens if they think this will the case. There will probably build in some mechanism or other stuff to prevent this and to make sure that the staking remains interesting.
I also doubt that the token price will drop to 0 after that. However, their staking wouldn't be interesting if the token has huge volatility after listing on such an exchange.

Kucoin is not a small exchange they are top 5 exchange base on coinmarketcap so we can already call them a big exchange
I put it wrong. Of course, Kucoin is a big exchange, considering that they also have huge trading volumes. I just meant that this exchange is smaller compared to Binance.

What I am curious here is that Binance is about to implement KYC for all users. Would it affect the number of traders on this platform? Because most traders would want to use exchange without mandatory KYC. And right now, Kucoin has still high withdrawal daily limit without KYC enforced. I don't know if this will be another consideration from the team about their possible listing to bigger exchange. On the note that BFG will crashed to 0. I don't think that will happen. They basically established their gambling platform so you can't say they have no use case for that matter.

Why make this project charity and community driven one? Is this really the intention of the team behind this to cater the charity organizations? Or just a small part? Because most projects claiming to be charity-related project is not true. It is like a click-bait and their charitable mission is usually forgotten when their project takes off.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: September 24, 2021, 08:32:32 PM

They don't need to hype, this is a big fight and both boxers have their respective fans, so we all like to see how this fight will go. Crawford is obviously the favorite here but Porter is not an ordinary opponent as he also gives Spence a real challenge in his last fight. I believe that Porter also has some strategy to surprise Crawford and as long as he will survive, he always has a chance to upset the champion.

Crawford is a three-division title winner and is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the sport and also he has fought an impressive record of 37-0 and 28KO, he currently holds the WBO welterweight title for a long time and he managed to defend the title four times, while Porter who is a two-time title winner is the number 1 challenger in the current WBO class and has a record of 31-3-1 wins and 17 KO, I think the fight will be very hard and full of blood from both boxers, because they are indeed the best boxers right now in their class, but if you look at the record of the two boxers of course I will bet on Crawford's victory.

Right, if you look at the record of Crawford he is undefeated, but his resume doesn't say that much as far as the 147 lbs is. This is the first time that he will be fighting a rugged boxer in Porter, who is a former champion and has a lot of experience. It will be very hard fight and for bettors, it's difficult to choose right now. And the fight could go in 12 rounds with no clear winner. But I will get Crawford like 2 rounds and edge Porter if the fight goes to distance.

Crawford is the heavy favorite of bookies to win this match. But sometimes bookies can also make mistakes especially if there is an upset. However, for Porter to get an upset here, he should be ready how to remove that 0 record of Crawford, think of strategies how to beat him. At least, boxing fans can get a good fight to watch out for and not boxers that will just go around the ring and avoiding his opponent.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet from Satoshi Nakamoto era activates after 9 years on: September 23, 2021, 10:49:04 PM
God damn why couldn't I have been around during those days or even have just heard about bitcoin a year or two earlier.  You always have to wonder though when things like this happen what is exactly going on and who is behind it.  More than likely it is someone's wallet who is already extremely wealthy and didn't care to do anything with the coins or it is someone who lost the coins and just found them...either way, luck mofo's.
We do always have those kind of regrets on where we do think that where we are on that particular time when bitcoin is just starting off.Im not really that surprised whenever old wallets do really make out some movement

because we know that there are really some hodlers who had strongly and waited up patiently for this market to increase or just simply they had remembered that they had something on their stash which did really

changed up their lives basing up on the amount that they had earned after a very long time.

To avoid further regrets in the future, why not act today and start thinking how to get a hold some of these satoshis or promising coins/tokens? We can't do anything about the past but we can still do much today to influence our future. We need to stop looking back and tell ourselves about what we should have done but look in your future and start strategizing how to take advantage of the current market.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 23, 2021, 09:54:42 PM
Oh the drama, the heat from the press conference is still here. It's going to be a nasty fight since Caleb trash talking Canelo's mother. I like how Canelo dodged and slapped Caleb after he pushed Caleb so hard. 2-0 for Canelo. Anyway, 1.09x (Stake's odds) seems like a sure win guys? But the odd isn't tempting tho.
Would not take that, I'd rather look for the handicap and that means I have to wait until the full market if this fight will be available. With the fire between the two, we will likely see a KO, we just have to predict what round a KO will happen or a range of rounds.
What sports betting sites you are using, I'm searching on the betting odds in crypto betting sites I'm using but I could not see it until now. I love to see the full market too as there's plenty of betting odds I can bet to make that day more entertaining while watching the fight.

A KO handicap, would be good, probably I'll take 1-3 rounds of KO as it surely has big odds, and Canelo is angry and might KO Plant right away.

Most of the time, you can see the full market at least about a week away before the fight. And maybe since these 2 boxers are quite popular, we may see it a lil bit early. Because betting on Canelo at full time is not worth if you are just betting small. Seems that people have high expectations on Canelo but we should not underestimate Caleb here.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difficulty of explaining Bitcoin to people is massive on: September 23, 2021, 08:40:26 PM

how curious is the person who ask the question?

if he just want to know how it works, you can just say BTC is just like a currency. you can buy things with it which we now consider a digital currency.  if it doesn't end there, the person is interested to learn but he will with just analogies you can comeup.

If the person is really interested, he will further search on his own. There are tons of knowledge regarding bitcoin and crypto over the internet. Explaining to someone is really a tedious job because he may not get the full idea of it. Even me, when I was starting, I had so many questions and you can't get it at one sitting. It will be years in the making to understand these things and up until now, with new networks, we are still understanding how they work. So if you encounter a person who has too many questions, you can only answer what you can but the rest, he needs to dig over the internet and learn on his own.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: September 22, 2021, 11:01:58 PM
The gambling sector might not have been so easy without blockchain technology. One can participate in online gambling from different countries of the world through block-chain technology. Moreover, through blockchain It is easier to withdraw and deposit.
Yes, this blockchain technology give some very good improvement in fairness and transparency now most of online casino going with this all with better confidence in both sides players and casino both have fair things to do on this sometime back most of the punters was facing some serious issues regarding deposit and withdraw but after adopting this they have very quick access with this all which bring some revolutionary changes for this industry.

Biggest advantage for members is now they don't need third parties for solving their issues' blockchain can do this all with fairness and this is going to be acceptable for both parities.
Well, that is a big advantage indeed, but I don't expect lawyers are going to agree with you. Grin
Those who profit with legal disputes, the third parties, are going to be very upset as blockchain adoption increases day by day, solving different issues of the modern society, just by being transparent and immutable. More blockchain means less legal issues, leading to a decreasement in the demand for professionals of the legal sector. The sad part is: these are the people who create the laws and regulations.
There would be effects as we do go ahead because technology does really goes better and better which would really affect out some parts or industries because their service would be no longer needed.
Lets just accept that fact and for sure they are aware with that.

Advancing on new ways or paths is something that cant really be avoided.WE had progressed that much on the sense that it isnt really much needed with those outdated things.

Anyway, there are still a lot of industries that badly needed their services. And also, the use of blockchain tech in gambling is still not very popular. Still a large percentage is fiat-based. But when these gamblers learned that with this new tech, they are less prone to being cheated, a lot will convert themselves to crypto or blockchain-based gambling. It is now easy to check if the games of the casino are indeed provable fair because you can just check their system easy. There are also some provable fair system verifiers available.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PokerFi. Innovation in financial transactions within online and live poker on: September 22, 2021, 09:40:28 PM

Now the competition between cryptocurrency projects is very high, so it is very important to get people interested in using the services of this particular project and explain to users why this project is better than others.

Competition allows the most useful projects to survive. At the same time, only those projects that people really need will remain.

Gambling has always been popular. Thanks to blockchain technology, there will be more honesty in gambling and everything will be traceable.

Gambling indeed survive in this pandemic and actually they are one of the industries that increased their presence especially in the online community. With blockchain tech, we are hoping that gambling sites will have no problem with provable fairness aspect as the transactions are transparent. Now, it is up to this platform how they will promote their site to attract these gamblers because of the tough competition. Every casino has their own perks and programs to attract new players.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOL is already $144, can still buy it? on: September 21, 2021, 11:56:06 PM
SOL is now 121$ in coingecko it means that there is big opportunity to earn if we buy it now. However not all of the investors will buy it because of the continuous dropping of it's price many investors maybe sell their Solana at low price or they are now become panic most of the panic sellers are newbie while big investors waiting for its price to rise again so I suggest to buy and wait for its recovery because most of the people who had a strong hands to hold has a big chances to get huge profit.

If you are a follower of this coin, you will know how active they are in terms of achieving their objectives. Because if you feel that they still have a lot to offer, then increasing its price is inevitable. And right now will be good opportunity to buy, as they are slowly going down at the moment. If they have a lot under their sleeves, their price can easily go up.
674  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is there such a thing as a non-scam cloudmining operation ? on: September 21, 2021, 11:20:10 PM
Few of these cloud mining sites may not be scam, however, it really depends on how they generate income here. So if they are losing, can they sustain giving the share of their miners? So maybe, even if they have no intentions of screwing their clients, they have no choice but don't give the share of their customers. So for me, these cloud mining sites should not promise what they can distribute to their holders and promote with features that they can't stick around.
675  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always have an exit strategy on: September 21, 2021, 09:58:24 PM
A lot of veterans I talked to back in January/ February had exit plans that were going into action late summer and early to mid fall at the latest. That was a majority of veterans.  I think bitcoins dropping to its new bottom slowly but surely. But it won’t go past ath for a while. It has been nearly a year and 6 months. Historically it probably means the btc 2021 bull run is over.

I think that you shouldn't treat it like that.

It is pretty much impossible to time the markets perfectly - what makes you think that you have a special kind of insight into the markets that the rest don't?

Sure, have an exit strategy if you are saving up for a house deposit or whatever, but if you are just in for the long haul you should just ride it out and hold.

I do agree with you, even if we say they are veterans, no one can actually predict what may happen to the market. I don't know who the OP is talking about here, regarding veterans, but they also don't have the crystal ball to see what will exactly happen. But one really should think about his exit strategy especially if he has something needed in the near future and he needs to cash out some of his portfolio.
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next stop $85K for Bitcoin on: September 20, 2021, 09:47:07 PM
So is the current price drop a correction before the bitcoin price jumps and reaches $100k?
to reach $100k before the end of the year means the bitcoin price must increase by more than 100% in 3 months. and if you look at the current market conditions it seems difficult to happen, even to penetrate $50k until now bitcoin has not been able to.

Most probably it's part of the ongoing corrections, which technically created a strong hold despite of the struggles we faced as price continue to strive on that most profitable value we ever desire. Indeed, we've been there at $50k but still the resistance was too strong for now. We need to extend our patience this time if we wanted to see out asset begets brighter future.

With the current rate, I don't think we will see the $100k level before this year ends, even $85k is not to be seen in the very near future. But if we will surpass the $60k level, that would already be a great ending for this year. Don't ask too much for btc as it has already reached a lot of milestones this year. Remember, this pandemic is not yet over. But in any case more good news is coming to the community, why not? The more adoption that we can build in this market, the better.
677  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Renewable Energy sources the future? on: September 20, 2021, 09:08:59 PM
Currently, developed countries are interested in energy issues and energy use. They have a preference for renewable energy. The research and application of renewable energy is becoming more frequent. Wind power, solar power, electric cars, tides are things that are being talked about a lot.
In Germany, there is a road installed with solar panels.
Policies of countries to promote renewable energy. In many developed countries, there is a policy to buy back electricity at a higher price than electricity from fossil energy sources. I believe renewable energy is the future of the world, but we also need to acknowledge the important role of fossil energy such as oil, gas, coal... in the marine industry, metallurgy industry, chemistry...

We are heading in that direction, where the government is promoting the utilization of renewable energy sources. It may not be an easy path, but slowly, people are recognizing the benefits of investing into these renewable energy sources like putting up their own solar panels/wind generator at home. Some countries even have their incentives like in Australia - they called renewable power incentives (not only solar) - https://www.energy.gov.au/rebates/renewable-power-incentives. This will encourage people to set-up their own renewable energy source. Not only helping their financials but the environment also.
678  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🐒 ApeSwap partnership on: September 20, 2021, 05:20:31 PM
Slowly Bitfury.io is coming to the front line. It is a licensed gaming platform with its own token known as BFG. Currently a lot of investors have invested here. Most of them are stacking. Bitfury.io is another name in the world of stacking platform. They are giving good returns through stacking. In recent times, they have added Coingecko. I think it will do better in the future.
They achieved a lot in just a short period of time they launch their bounty campaign in October last year it was a very long campaign 3 months to be exact but it was a very successful campaign they successfully targeted investors and gamblers, they built a huge community from that campaign and once they have a community they give a continuous update on the progress of road map.
They keep surprising the community with new features and updates, I just wait here for updates because every update is a big surprise.
For the time being they are doing improvements but that marketing they did back in the day is no longer available right now, they really need to do that again. Maybe another signature campaign? That could be understandable, we are talking about something that would be awesome for them because it would get more and more people.

The longer you manage your signature campaign the more people you are going to get and that is why I understand it is totally desirable by the public as well. Plus they have added pressure of investors to their token and if people are not getting proper dividends then they are going to end up with selling whatever they have and keep dropping the price for sure.
Yes, gamblers do not typically stick to a single gaming site, therefore if they truly require the consumers, a constant marketing campaign should be established. Consider those gambling platforms that constantly run campaigns to advertise their gambling platform, such as duelbits and roobet; they're getting a lot of users day by day because their marketing strategy is never-ending. You can see on the initial pages of the board that giveaways, events, and contests are being posted; this will attract more users because they will realize the platform is very active for the community.

They may really need active promotion again for this platform because their token's price is decreasing day by day. I don't know the reason why such downward trend but their value should be increasing. I do agree that several casinos here are actively promoting their site not only via sig campaign, but they have regular contests to their players, encouraging them to bet more. But who knows, betfury sometimes give updates to the community that are vital to their expansion of business.
679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $100k prediction by eoy on: September 19, 2021, 11:38:34 PM
Highly doubt it.

The run up from the start of the year has been absolutely crazy and I think that we are due for a correction as a matter of time.

Institutional interest is high, yes, but even that isn't going to go on forever especially when the interest rates around the world start hiking near the end of the year as most countries exit lockdowns.

The price level of $100k before the year ends seems not likely to happen. I am just hoping that it will reach again its ATH. Anyway, if it doesn't happen, the succeeding years for me are promising as countries after countries are considering the integration of blockchain tech or crypto in their financial system. The more adoption we have, the better for the market. But for now, let us be grateful that bitcoin market really did great this year despite of the global pandemic that everyone experienced and is still experiencing.
680  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: September 19, 2021, 10:52:44 PM
Why use only that strategy? many options that you can use in trading. Don't just because the strategy was effective 2 years ago and you still don't adjust to current market conditions. So stay realistic in taking profits, trades need to be taken advantage of. But that's the cycle, you just need to renovate the trading strategy and pay attention to the various factors that affect the coin being traded.

Maybe his old strategy doesn't work in the current market conditions anymore. He needs to check also the coin itself. Because if he is losing, it means, he maybe had no idea what is happening to that project. In this market, we can't always expect the same strategy to work every time we do the trading as there are various factors in play. The market is changing and evolving and we can't rely on old tactics anymore. The OP should revisit such strategy and assess why it is not working anymore.
