661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 01, 2024, 06:09:24 AM
Not even 100% sure if the camera was pointed on the seed or not. But yes I agree, maybe if I get too much Kopfkino I will create a new wallet. But if they were really watching it would have been gone already I think.
You should stop thinking about it buddy too much, it will cause huge spikes of stress time after time. If you think that they might have seen your wallet's seed phrase then try to check out your wallet address in a block explorer, and if you see no new transactions then I'm pretty sure you're 100% safe. But, still if you fear then just go for the new wallet. It's far better to take a step then worrying.
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 01, 2024, 12:46:52 AM
Guys, a stupid question. I had the paper with my seed phrase on the bed and used my iPhone in my hand to enter the PIN code of my ledger. These 2 minutes my iPhone camera was probably directed towards my seed phrase. Should I be worried? Or am I good? Is NSA watching and has my seed phrase already? Please only serious answers.

Edit: I’m in Thailand right now and using True 5g mobile provider. And German citizen. Nothing to do with the US government.
You don't have to worry because even if you have used your iPhone towards your seed phrase that doesn't mean you should worry about it at all. However, if you're someone who thinks a lot and fears a lot then I suggest you to create a new wallet and write your seed phrase once again on paper. NSA doesn't really have much time to watch everyone, it's just a fear that's pushed into our minds. Just relax and follow the steps that I suggested, you'll be 100% safe and you won't have to even worry about NSA or anyone else.
663  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 12:01:48 AM
In most countries when debt is so high then the gambler's family is bound to pay the debt. In most cases they have to sell their properties in order to pay the debt, but if debt isn't too much then the lender allows them to pay him on monthly basis. But, that lender can do so many wrong things with that family and whatever he tells them they'll have to obey his orders. I even heard that some of such lenders often sexually exploits wives and young daughters of those who take loan from them. It's a bitter truth but it happens in many communities. Lenders want their money back badly and for that they can go to any extent.
664  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: February 29, 2024, 11:37:01 PM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?
Yes, being a parent once can easily change his gambling habits. A person with his family's responsibility should learn about gambling responsibility to higher extent and if he spends most of his earnings in gambling then surely such person should reduce his gambling habits. I believe when your budget is very low which's only enough to support your family then you should not gamble at all.
665  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] L0tt0 Review Campaign Round #1 on: February 29, 2024, 08:01:50 PM
Only 3 spots are left, apply to fill those spots. Those who participate in this campaign will most probably be preferred for 2nd round of the campaign.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: February 29, 2024, 07:33:12 PM
is gambling restricted to some certain kind of individuals or class?  or is there any stratification when it comes to playing gambling ?

No gambling is not restricted to some individuals or classes of people, anyone is allowed to gamble. Of course there are some age related restrictions but other than that I don't think there's any kind of restriction. If a country's law doesn't allow gambling and the country takes strict action against casinos then in such places it might be not possible to gamble, but many people even from such countries use VPNs to gamble on online casino sites. No stratification at all when it comes to gambling, like I said above everyone is allowed to gamble.

667  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is happening in SportBet.one topic? on: February 29, 2024, 05:11:25 PM
Even if they get banned they will just get the new ones and will continue with their business as usual but, but reporting is not in vain as more than once those who hired such services cancelled them when they realize that their posts are constantly being deleted.
I agree with whatever you said, but those people can get smarter when get paid for the task, I'm sure they might use Human Psychology to convince their clients that even if most of their posts get deleted, they will still shill the thread from new accounts.

It could even get worse if those shilling services buy high ranked accounts for the purpose. It's easy to report newbies who bump the threads but it would be a little bit tough to spot high-ranked accounts that are part of such shilling services.
668  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is happening in SportBet.one topic? on: February 29, 2024, 04:17:02 PM
Of course they will, if you prove that they are all part of the same bumping group (which is pretty obvious in this case).
I have reported those posts myself and I hope that they may get deleted soon by the moderators. In my report I referred those posts as part of a bumping group, but the main point is that as long as such accounts aren't banned they'll continue shilling threads like this because they are being paid for shilling.

What makes you think that? Reporting spammy or irrelevant posts, even in the gambling board, is the right thing to do. While moderators might have some flexibility depending on the specific gambling topics, they generally delete this kind of useless crap all the time.
There are so many posts of similar nature in gambling board, and many people consider most posts in those boards as spamming. That's why it would be a really tough job for moderators to handle huge volume of reports that they get from gambling board. That's the main reason why I said those words in my post.

But, I have reported those bumping/shilling posts myself and hope that soon they might get deleted. I think it would be much better if of us should report such posts together, that way moderators can easily find that if a post is getting reported by many members then such post should be deleted for the betterment of the forum.

The Bitcointalk community WILL NOT FORGIVE o_e_l_e_o for this betrayal.
No, you've interpreted it in a wrong way, you should instead say that Bitcointalk community WILL NOT FORGET the contribution which o_e_l_e_o made to this community. Trust me Bitcointalk community miss Leo so much that we won't forget him anytime. He's a legend and he has made his place in our hearts, so no matter whoever hates him, we will always respect him, and wish him a happy life.
670  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2023] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: February 29, 2024, 08:12:07 AM
The prize for 1 prize will be at least $1000! And I believe there will be many prizes!
That's really going to be huge, and I'm also expecting more contributions in that prize pool. Theymos added his share in the fund and I expect other Bitcoin lovers to contribute something into that fund. The ones who make best pizzas will not only get a badge but some good amount for their time and dedication towards Bitcoin and Bitcoin pizza competition.

I'm very happy that you'll be taking care of that competition! I hope this time we may see the best pizzas in the contest! AI has also got so advanced, will there be any measures to disqualify the contestants who might use AI generated images of pizzas? The worst thing about the new AI generated images is that it's really hard to know that if they are generated or are someone own work.
671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From today; 28.02.2024 - How low do you think the coming BTC dip will be..?? on: February 29, 2024, 07:55:07 AM
Once this parabolic move is over and those huge ETF institutions stop buying more then there will come a dump in the market which might take Bitcoin's price once again at $55k and below. I was expecting that high of this parabolic move would be only $62k but yesterday it crossed that number also crossed $64k. Now I can't really say anything about this parabolic move peak. It might get a push once again and if that happens then there's a big chance that Bitcoin may make a new ATH and reach value of $70k.
672  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2023] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: February 29, 2024, 07:48:51 AM
On behalf of Theymos, $500 will be added to the Bitcoin Pizza competition fund that will take place in May (the scale of the competition will be huge)!
We will have to keep the Pizza competition in our mind and this time, I hope to participate in that event. I'm not sure that either I will win or not but at least I'll be happy to be part of that competition. Would love to be part of that huge competition.
673  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is happening in SportBet.one topic? on: February 29, 2024, 07:13:55 AM
@OP best course of action when you see something like this is to report their posts and eventually tag them for shilling (even though in that case they usually just ditch those accounts and start using new ones).
Good suggestion but I don't think that moderators will care much about deleting such posts especially when those are in gambling board. Tagging such users will also not be much fruitful because they aren't here to enroll in signature campaigns, their main role is just shilling the threads and they can do that even if they get 20 negative feedbacks. If I'm not wrong then such scammers who get paid for shilling may already have 100's of newbie rank accounts which they can use to shill the threads.
674  Economy / Reputation / Re: Most technically knowledgeable forum users .. on: February 28, 2024, 10:54:22 PM
On average or most of them are users who understand the technicalities of bitcoin, meaning I am not saying that all users who post there are users who understand the technicalities perfectly.
Yes, that's very true most members who are active on that board have good technical background and they're also aware of the different aspects of Bitcoin. But, surely no single person can be perfect at anything and that's why we're here as a community where everyone shares his/her knowledge to help others.

I have personally seen some very knowledgeable members at that board who deserve appreciation for their work. But if we observe closely then time after time we are losing some good members from this forum, whole others are so busy that they can't devote much time to the forum due to extra burden of work on their heads.
675  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about futures on: February 28, 2024, 09:14:41 PM
Follow the advice of EL MOHA and move this thread to Trading discussion board. This is not a technical discussion question but a trading related question. I would never suggest you to go for futures trading if you are not good at trading. I won't suggest you to go with 3x leverage for either short/long positions. Look the Bitcoin is have a parabolic move and if it continues then you might have risk of liquidation if you open short position with 3x leverage.

On the other hand after this parabolic move Bitcoin might get dumped in a strange and unexpected way. I suggest you to put your €100 in a wallet and wait for the market to calm down a little bit and then start try to invest your money by following DCA strategy and dip buying. That way you won't be at much risk, however if you're a good trader then you can take advantage of this parabolic move, but surely that way is full of risk.
676  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SMC or ICT concept. which is more easier to learn? on: February 28, 2024, 09:00:20 PM
I will always recommend you to learn technical analysis first as a beginner trader and don't think about anything else. Try to master some basic technical indicators in the beginning. Once you learn those technical indicators then begin testing your learning with actual trades, but try to open very small trades only for the learning purpose.

Once you understand and master a few basic technical indicators, then try to learn about risk management. For a newbie trader risk management is one of the most important tools. Learn about stop-loss as that's a very important thing to master for a beginner trader because without using stop-loss you might end up emptying your account.

Once you learned all those then try to learn ICT as it's much easier to be learned by a beginner trader than SMC, but if you have a sharp memory and you devote good time to those then you can learn both of them.  I suggest you to watch some YouTube videos to learn about ICT and begin following those videos. Learn from those videos and practice whatever you learn.

678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Detrimental Impact of Sports Betting on Genuine Sports Coverage on: February 28, 2024, 10:44:08 AM
Yes, it's true that we see all those gambling ads these days and in fact you can see those on clubs and grounds where matches take place. There's nothing one can do to stop those but I don't really think that they have any adverse impact on the sports that we enjoying viewing. They're just trying to promote sports betting and I don't think anything is wrong in that approach.

In fact those are somehow helpful for the ones who are good to judge the teams and such viewers might end up making some money if they place bets in favor of a winning team. I'm very sure that sports viewers know far more about a team than other gamblers and if they use that knowledge to place some bets then they could generate some revenue from those gambling sites.
679  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitForex halts withdrawals, stops responding to users after $56.M was moved on: February 28, 2024, 09:49:26 AM
It's really a bad news for those people who hold they money at that exchange. It's not safe to keep your Bitcoin or any other altcoin at exchanges. If you have a coin in small amount and you're a trader then its okay to trust a good exchange but still it's not recommended.

Those exchanges can run away with your money or get hacked sometime. In past we have seen a few more exchanges getting hacked and a few of them being rug-pulls. I believe one is a trader then he/she should go with a top level exchanges instead of going to low reputed exchanges.
680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin ! on: February 28, 2024, 09:35:38 AM
Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin now before it is too late !

Is bitcoin price going to be above the $100 K end of the next 6 months ?

If it does, its mean it will cross  $150K by 25 December 2024.
It's unlikely to see Bitcoin at $100k in next 6 month or to see it crossing $150k by 25th December 2024. I know currently Bitcoin price is rising very fast and currently Bitcoin's price is close to $60k and I'm sure that if this touches and crosses $60k then it will either touch $62k or it will get a huge price fix. Who knows that we may see a good dump within few days.
