661  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Ethereum / ZCash Miners in Bangalore - Here is how you get started with Mining on: January 12, 2017, 02:59:09 PM
Hi,
This is shyam. I'm also a Altcoin miner. I'm mining XMR now. Before i use to mine Zcash. I have 3 Rigs with 6 GPUs each with R7 370s and RX470s. all togeather 10Khash on XMR. for Zcash 3000sols/s if i mine zcash. I would like to know about your setup and mining power. cheers.

Hi Shyam,

I've focused on Eth primarily because its been the most profitable coin to mine on the RX 470's that I have. I have 9 rigs of varying sizes, from 4 card to 7 card rigs. I hash at 1000mh/s on Eth or around 9000sols/s on zcash. Good to see other Indian miners with multiple rigs Smiley what motherboards do you use?
662  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Prebuilt Eth/Zec Mining Rigs in Bangalore on: January 12, 2017, 10:02:11 AM
what will ur setup charge, if I provide you all the components?

As I can get Sapphire RX 470 4GB or 8GB version in less than $200

For one Rig, my setup charge for you is get me two RX 470 8GB cards for under $400 Smiley

Here is the link

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814202230

Price $170 + customs wont be more than 3.5k

Hope you can calculate the rest

Haha it appears you have never ordered from Newegg. Their shipping charges are through the roof for graphics cards, and the 1.5k ull end up saving is not worth forgoing Indian warranty for. This particular card will cost almost $220 landed, and thats for a 4GB version. In Altcoin mining graphics cards fans will burn out very fast, assume 6-8 months, so do not go for imports unless the price difference is substantial.

EVGA cards comes with international warranty and shipping charges wont be that much if shipped with PPOBOX...

Still ur prices are very high... we can understand you lookng for good margin

Oh boy where do I start? EVGA is an Nvidia exclusive board partner, it does not make AMD cards. RX 470 cards are AMD chips made by their board partners, the link that you shared above is a Sapphire card, and it does not have international warranty. Infact, no AMD Board partner offers international warranty. Even if they did, do you know how EVGA international warranty works? You ship the product to Taiwan and bear the shipping costs incured. So no, its not even close to Local warranty.
And I regularly buy from Newegg, and If you had ever purchased from them you would know that their shipping works out cheaper than PPOBOX, and is insured.

I don't know why you are trying so hard to defend your lack of information/understanding, you are welcome to "Understand" what you want but please do not insinuate that I am "charging you too high a price" without knowing the costs involved. I think its best that you do some research and built a rig yourself, like I mentioned earlier in the thread its no rocket science, and even you should be able to do it.

can you let me know , what kind of motherboard i can use in this , which will be easily available in the market for the purchase !

and about the RX 470 4 GB graphic cards ---- are you talking on the basis of ZEC / Eth because I am not interested mining in Ether at all .
They have been hacked twice , which cause the birth of Ether classic and Hard fork ( Ether was the first one I believe to get to the point of hard fork )

So , I will prefer Dash , Zcash or any other .

Hey mine what you want, totally your call. For Zcash Nvidia cards are better, so GTX 1060 3gb would be the most value for money option for Zcash as it does a little better than RX 470. Or if budget isnt an issue, even the GTX 1070 cards. For motherboard, you can look at the Biostar GT7 Z170 motherboard, perfect for 4 cards.
666  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Prebuilt Eth/Zec Mining Rigs in Bangalore on: January 09, 2017, 01:06:14 PM
The price for Asus rx 470 is 16000 inr at Amazon. So i don't understand why you are selling used rigs for 25000 ?
Or i am missing something ?

That's Amazon global easy buy price, and that's without warranty. You can however get these cards for around 16.5k with Indian warranty at your local IT hub ( SP Roard, Nehru Place, Lamington road etc). I don't get what you mean by "Selling used rigs for 25000"Huh Did'nt you read the post? I make these on order, and you get bills for all components.
This listed price of 25K per card doesn't mean i'm giving you a 16,5k graphics card for 25k lol. Its an oversimplification of the cost of a system based on the number of cards in it. For example, a 4 Card Rig has a Motherboard, Ram, CPU, SSD, Power Supply, Wood/Aluminium Frame, Powered Risers, ethernet/wifi adapter and cable, Surge protector AND the 4 cards, assembled on to the frame. Then comes the software that it comes preloaded with, which is scripts for automatic mining, and resuming incase of power failure, for setting graphics card overclocks/underclocks on each boot depending on the coin being mined, Bios modifications for the graphics cards to increase their performance ( stock RX 470 does 21 mh/s in eth, bios modded RX 470 can do 28+ ).
Ofcource none of what I do is rocket science, and all related information is available on this very forum if you look hard. I just do it for you if you aren't that technically inclined, or don't have the time on your hands.
667  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Prebuilt Eth/Zec Mining Rigs in Bangalore on: January 08, 2017, 12:06:19 PM
And its finally back to the old levels, ETH is highly profitable and ROI for these mining Rig's ( without factoring in resale value) is down to 8 and getting better by the day ...

Hi ,

I am interested in building my own rig . I have a hard time finding the GPU riser cable and I am not sure about the Asrock motherboard as well . It's not easily available , I have to do a lot of research on that though .

I was thinking of building with 2 perspective mining / gaming . So , I come to an conclusion . I don't know whether I am doing it right or wrong please suggest .

Motherboard - Gigabyte ZOC force
RAM - 32 GB
4 Graphic card -  Sapphire RX 480 8 GB ( I am using 4 cards because It allow me to use that " no's " only )
CPU - i7 6850 k
psu - 1200 i
ssd - 500 GB

the cost have gone beyond the normal and with corsair cabinet and I don't know if i am able to get ROI on this or not . My main motive is to mine altcoins no specifics but i am not interested in ether as well ( because of hard fork and . I find zcash more interesting

What kind of motherboard you are using and what do you suggest on my setup

If you are purchasing a Gaming PC, then getting components that can be used for Altcoin mining is a good idea. But if your primary objective is to mine altcoins, and play some games then this configuration is WAAAAAY too high end. You could get a 7 card mining rig for the same price, which would be pretty capable in gaming as well. You do not need an i7 CPU, and the RX470 4GB is 95% the performance of the RX480 8GB for 70% of the price so get those instead.
Also you would need a full tower cabinet from a reputed brand like corsair as you mentioned, which has atleast 8 pci slot room.
ROI scales with the number of graphics cards that you have, so spending on other components for mining is a bad idea. Also, you can get Risers on amazon and ebay. i buy in bulk so I import from aliexpress.
Like I mentioned, if you are in Bangalore, you can get a mining setup from me, prebuilt.
If you are not in Bangalore, I am working on Enclosures for 5-7 card setups which are about the size of a PC Cabinet, and I will be able to ship systems in it. I will be posting pictures of that enclosure soon.

670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The World’s 1st Graphics Card Integrated Miner Is Shipping in November, 2016 on: January 05, 2017, 04:17:52 PM
Some people say that the mining efficiency of 470 is also similar,if we replace the AMD 470, then the whole machine can be cheaper for about 1000 CNY.

Please do make a RX 470 4GB version if you can get it to cost 1000 CNY, that price point would make this an absolute steal. I would order at-least 5, right away.
BTW I would need these shipped to India, and there would be a hefty import duty on top for me, but I'd still want them.
In any case, great job guys, I wish you have made this 6-8 months ago before I put all my money into building rigs.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7 on: January 05, 2017, 10:52:49 AM
after setting up v9.7, in ethman... the version number column shows "9.7 - CN"
what does CN mean?

CN = CryptoNight. ZEC miner will report "ZEC" and so on, this way you can easily see what miners you use (if you use different miners).
Then I will update EthMan so it will check what miner is used and will apply appropriate scale automatically - KH/s for CN and ZEC, MH/s for ETH.

Ha, I missed that pattern on the version number. Tongue
Just searched for the term "ETH:" instead when using the API. Will definitely use that on the next release of MultiPoolMiner for MiningPoolHub.com.

https://github.com/aaronsace/MultiPoolMiner/releases

This is a brilliant little tool, I'm loving it so far. Great job man, i'm surprised I don't see a dedicated thread for this.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Z170 Motherboard for mining with at least 4 gpus - any success stories? on: January 01, 2017, 10:41:55 AM
btw any success stories running 4+ gpus?

ASrock H170A-X1 work fine with 5 GPUs - rx480 8G
Gigabyte Z170 gaming k3 work fine with 6 GPUs - rx470 8G

Ok now the story is a success  Grin

by setting TOLUD to 3Gb instead of Auto,  6 gpu's  Rx480 and/or R9 380 work fine on the MSI Z170A pro carbone motherboard (with 12 Gb ram)

 Cheesy

Are you sure guys? I would want to try the Gigabyte Z170 Gaming K3 if all of you can get 6 RX 470/480 cards working on it. Also, on the MSI Carbon, you said you can get 6 RX 480 working. Can you please test if 7 work too?
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PandaMiner Launches Global Sales! on: December 29, 2016, 12:38:52 PM
Kinda tough. In USA built a 5 card gpu rig 480x 8gb setup with linux for less than 2K and that was this last summer. I'm sure rigs/cards are cheaper now
currently getting like 800sols on zcash I think it is?was? like 130 usd a month I think if I have that right (should probably look again but is soooooo sad) Sad

but what the heck ...we all got to start someplace and it also depends on your location and elec costs..if elec costs cheap enough would maybe be OK
with a pandaminer decision

another month of mining to make same or so....oranges/oranges.....all this alt price stuf is out of everyones hands..it works or it don't at this point

but me (20/20 hindsight) at these prices why I to 2 rigs (that we pop between etherum and zcash on whatever whim...2 rigs each with a buddy)
it is looking like I'm eventually gonna have a couple of kick ass gamer machines/desktops and 8 other cards to move on ebay..I mean 1 rig fine? I
could have justified it with the desktop argument above..but TWO...yep bought into the zcash hype (doh!) ......live and learn

oh well just how it is in the USA at 10c kwh winter rates fyi

anyway just a comparison

later

You can't so easily compare a normal rig with that build.
They are using MXM Modules with a also customized board you won't get anywhere else.
I would love to see this with Nvidia GTX1080 Mobile :-D

just saying it cost 100 bucks less then the panda miner and has about 25% more hash...so again except the pandaminer is 'cute' what is the attraction
what am I missing? Not a slam..just saying don't see the 'sparkle' to get this unit vs a gpu rig I can build..then when obsolete can use components for other
purposes then a doorstop? So info please on the logic.

Are you ... missing something here? This is an 8 mxm card machine that's doing 1880 sol/s in cash or 237 mh/s in eth. You are comparing it to a 5 card machine you built for 2k that gives you 800 sols/s Huh I built a 7 card setup that gives me 1600 / 200 and cost me ~ $2300 here in India. This definitely works out cheaper, not to mention the ease of getting the entire rig pre-setup.
This is an enclosed cooled stackable low profile rig and it may not be ideal for home use but for someone running a farm this is ideal.

I received an email with a photo a dhl shipping notice it has the correct address but  dhl number has yet to hit on dhl's website.

I will check the tracking and get back with info when the number shows on dhl's site.

Phil, this discussion may be too early at this point.

If your test does turn out to be satisfactory, do you plan on starting a group buy?

maybe but customs may make it too hard to work out.

And here is a copy of dhl  I will post updates on it

He Phil, once you have tested it, do let us know what the total landed cost of it was to you including customs clearance ad shipping etc.
This would definitely be cheaper than building a similar performing rig in my country (India) ... even with customs factored in.
This has come a long way from the initial scammy vibes that we were getting. I hope they start taking international orders soon.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Z170 Motherboard for mining with at least 4 gpus - any success stories? on: December 27, 2016, 06:24:32 AM
Thanks folks
The BIOSTAR board looks nice.  Pity the price is $30+ higher than the MSI and the ASRock boards.

no riser costs  make up for it.  and if usa there is a rebate
120 usd

Hey Phil did you finally put your Z170GT7's in PC Cases(towers) like you were planning to?

just a heads up for everyone
ive flashed 10 gigabyte GA-Z170-Gaming K3 to latest bios F20
9 out 10 work flawlessly with 6 cards, problematic rig needs taking apart and resetting
been stable for 2-3 days now
for anyone with the following board

ASROCK Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6
using BIOS 2.8
can run 5 cards by doing the following in the bios
go to advanced mode
and chipset settings
Change PCIE to gen1 on both options
change max TOLUD which is the next option down from the above to 2.5GB

this makes 5 cards work
I have not got round to flashing the bios yet to reassess if can do 6 cards

This is great news, Ill try to source those Gigabyte boards now.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this power supply good for 5 gpu rx 470? on: December 20, 2016, 11:20:09 AM

A gold 750W is the minimum, I would recommend the Corsair CS750M, I have several x RX 470 rigs using that PSU.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6 GPU RIG.6 GPU DETECTED.ONLY 3 WORKING. OTHER 3 DRIVERS HAVING "CODE 12" ISSUES on: December 20, 2016, 07:05:56 AM
I just set up a mining rig with Conf :

- Intel i3 - 6098P CPU
- Asrock - Z170 Extreme 3
- AMD Powercolor RX 480 GPU - 6 gpu
- Kingston 120 GB SSD
- Corsair RM 1000x PSU.
- windows 10 Enterprise x64
- Ram DDR4 HyperX Fury 2133 Mhz

The recent problem I encountered is when joining 6 gpu's. 3 of them are running perfectly fine and in device drivers window showing - "This device is working properly". The other 3 are showing this in the driver - "Code 12: This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system". http://imgur.com/a/MhWI6

I have tried my level best to work on this error but unable to solve. when I connect 5 of them only 2 runs fine and the other 3 of them doesn't work as the same way above.

I have tried solutions given by microsoft and other aslo. but no clue still.

Kindly Help.

"When connecting 5 GPU. 3 of them shows the Error only 2 works. While connecting 6 GPU 3 of them shows the Error only 3 works. When reconnecting 4 GPU all work fine". HOW ? WHY ?

You should have maybe read through the forum for compatibal boards before you purchased the components. None of the skylake boards (B150, H170 Z170) work with more thsn 5 GPU. Most will work with only 4. There is no solution, this is a hardware limitation. If you want to use more than 6 cards, use an older motherboard/processor/ram combo, like the several mentioned in the replies here.
If you purchased 6 cards, two are now useless and its best you return them.
If youre in bangalore I can buy them off of you.

Since banning several of his retarded threads wasnt enough to get the message across, I vote to ban this account. If he pops up again with a different account peddling his stolen shit, we can ban that account as well, no biggie. But scum like this needs to be purged periodically.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to create my own miner with 1000$ (to mine Altcoins) on: December 15, 2016, 10:19:11 AM
Like Watershin said, you need to be clear on what you are going to be mining, different hardware is more suited to different coins.
AMD Cards do better in some coins, NVIDIA cards are better in others, some coins do not care about CPU speed, some like Zcash do etc.

Currently the most profitable is ETH and on some days Zcash which both run well on similar hardware.
For $1000 you can setup a 5 GPU rig. Buy the GPU Shack 5 GPU bundle for $149, get 5 EX 470's for$160 each, and a 750W Gold PSU.
Fashion a frame out of scrap, install Windows 10 on the GPU Shack SSD, underclock and undervolt the cards to run them stable on the 750W PSU.
Several posts here in the forums detailing how you can do that.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: help to connect 7vga in 1 rig on: December 15, 2016, 10:13:42 AM
The msi gaming "7 GPU" boards only work with 6 unless you use a 16x - 16x riser for the first 16x slot. Hopefully someone can figure out a better way soon.

I have 7 going with 4 470s, 1 370, 1 380 and 1 1070.

Actually work flawlessly with 7 RX 470 cards on 1x16 risers, i have two such rigs working for two months. Just set all PCI to Gen 1, Disable onboard Video and Audio, and make sure u arent using the mPCI slot for SSD as that disables the last two slots.
