6601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 16, 2019, 07:34:54 PM
Not the nest result of my betting strategy today the 1-1 between Leipzig and Bayern.
I expected Leipzig to win this match but unfortunately they conceived an early goal from Lewandowski.
Still a good result which keeps them close to the first position.

Well in fact thanks to a strong performance in 2nd half Leipzig could have won that match and it was interesting to see how Bayern wasn´t able to catch up with their own style in this 2nd half.

This can really become a very interesting season seeing not just Bayern, but also Dortmund and RBL fighting for the crown.

This season has all the fonts to be the most competitive league in Germany history for a long time ago.
A good point would be to see if Dortmund or Bayern will make and additional signing this winter. If not then Leipzig would be equally strong to compete for the title.

Leipzig looks like the team with a great start and they are really strong this year, after many years now competing in the Bundesliga they have the chance now to fight for the title as equal to Bayern or Dortmund, they have the experience now.I think that Bayern has the highest chances to win the Bundesliga as they have the most experience to do so.

I agree that Bayern is the favorite.
But don't forget when Leicester won the Premier league title didn't have the experience as others teams did.
This season is absolutely a good chance for them.

Leicester winning the league is an entirely different case compared to Bayern's monopolistic dominance in the Bundesliga. When Leicester won the league agreed it's unexpected, but they didn't win it out of their own explicit brilliance but rather out of how other usually competiting performed woefully. Leceister won the league with  81 points that has been the lowest points for a PL Champion from 14/15 till date (that's just as far as I can tell) but still they finished with 10 points ahead of 2nd. That showed how terrible the top team were fairing then.

Bayern can  afford to rest its key players on certain occasions in the league and still win comfortably, that can't be said of other high flying teams like Leipzig or Dortmund who might need to feed their best almost week in week out.

Losing vs Norwich cost Pep a whole lot.  That's one must win match out.  Now they'll be hoping LFC would lose one too which is so unlikely.

Coutinho must be saying...  'Damn I blew it!'.  Grin

Liverpool could have a premier league loss(or consecutive draws) on the horizon too, don't be too naive, Lol. I mean haven't we seen it happen before ?

Offside: Looks like a few people still got 1.5 points off Everton's lose... Hehehe  Sad

I never said it's not gonna happen.  What I said was that it's highly unlikely Liverpool would lose those easy must win fixtures.

But we'll see...  It all becomes a bit clearer starting December.  Smiley

Indeed, time will tell. Until let's just enjoy the weekly dramas as they unfold.

Aren't things supposed to get better with time, I'm getting terrible by the week on SuperBRU, LFC_Bitcoin might in no time be out of reach to me  Embarrassed

Never used the site before(I don't even have an account on there) but I've been seeing their positive promotions for BTC as a whole which is very impressive, I must admit. I'd be on the lookout, If their odds are not too different. I've been looking for an alternative to 1xbet following various accusations against them as well as my recent encounter with them (I wasn't scammed though) but I can tell they are bitter losers.

I'd say Messi snd Suarez in 16year old but the tag would be outrageous, but he's really that good. Hopefully, Barcelona would nurture his talent.
Barcelona is always good at nursing young players. They have this history of creating and caring for players and turn them to superstars. I hope this young fella gets the same.

I agree with @Joniboini There has been a hude the decline in La Masia players reaching the peak of their talents since the present Barca administration. There has been a huge lack of trust in them while the club enormous transfer fees to bring in recruits of the same calibre. All Barcelona does these days is to send these players out on series of loans(often with a buyback clause), That happened with Deulofeu, Denis Suarez, and Munir. All these were kids with great potentials and could have reach some peak if the club had given them better opportunities they were afforded to Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi. I doubt even those three great minds or even Messi would have existed under this current board.

Edit: @Toma beat me to it...

I think the match between Juventus and Fiorentina was the worse match for Juventus in the past 5 Years.
Nothing went on the right side, Juventus is lucky with the draw.
2 players injured( Pjanic and D.Costa) they probably will skip Atletico on Champions, 1 shoot on the door and nothing else.
I hope this only a case with a hot day, international matches with national teams or this year it will be a hard year.

Maybe Indeed Juventus dominance is about to come to an end this season, Derby matches like the ones against Fiorentina used to be a one sided affair.

In the time Inter won and now they are leading the League. It could be a good bet for the title.
Conte's army as I would rather call them now, remain my favorites for the title this year.

Goal & an assist by Ansu Fati for Barcelona tonight vs Valencia. This kid is 16 years old, how fucking good could he be?
I'd say Messi snd Suarez in 16year old but the tag would be outrageous, but he's really that good. Hopefully, Barcelona would nurture his talent.

And with that loss for Atletico, now nobody in La Liga has 100% starting.
Every team have had their fair share of reality that the season isn't going to be a roller coaster ride.

^  No idea about the white hair but he seems a bit fatter.  Lol.

Anyway, United - Leicester...  Seriously, was that deserving to be a pen?

I could careless  Tongue

I've got Man Utd to win in the pool and Rashford to score on FortuneJacks majestic 7.

Tottenham is running riot! Son is on fire! 3 nil at 23 minutes, Lol, Definitely not the Crystal Palace I was expecting.
6609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 14, 2019, 02:21:37 PM
Hazard's on!  Nice seeing him in that number 7 shirt.

Edit:  Wow seriously, really Real...?  3 - 2 now.  Lmao.

I expected a cruise from Real Madrid after 3 - 0 at halftime, At least the were still able to secure 3 points. It all could have been a different story (disastrous one) If Courtois hadn't made that crucial save.

I hope Barcelona can follow up with a victory of theirs, Even if it's marginal like this. You don't want to get too far behind this early into the league.

Barcelona vs Valencia (If Messi is playing)

Messi is definitely out, Saurez should be to get some minutes (at least) If not the whole game. I think it's quite important that the team start adapting to Messi's absence and I'd have love to see it go for a few more games.

6612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 14, 2019, 10:05:23 AM
For the first time, I see the odds are worse for Newcastle to beat Liverpool than for Norwich to beat Manchester City. This is a curious development for me,,, it is generally always Liverpool with less chances to win than City when meeting a non big 4 team. And to me Newcastle is stronger than Norwich. Anything the reason for this?

I wish you were right, but you're not.

A couple of days ago when I surveyed odds after Pep said maybe even Walker couldn't deputise for Laporte in midfield, odds actually went down to 18/1 for a Norwich win, from 20/1 a week before.

Well it's 25.5/1 now (I took a bet on it, silly me) at my bookie.

Newcastle are a good 17/1 to win.

So City are still the clear favourites, even away at a team that can't stop scoring. Also a reflection of how it's tougher to get 3 points against a defensive team than it is an attacking one (the former being Newcastle, the latter Norwich).

I guess he's statements are contradictory, when he said Liverpool always have the less chance to win City whenever they play a non big-4 team" Less chance means having higher Odds compared to City. According to my past observations that's almost always been the case. Today's is no different (according to my bookies) Liverpool and City offered at 1.18 and 1.11 respectively. However it can be understood that  Newcastle is slightly better in terms of performance compared to Norwich.

After one week International break we are going to see la liga between Mallorca and Ath. Bilbao. Bilbao has good opportunity to collect three more points since their record against Mallorca is very good.

Despite dominating the game, perhaps with a small margin Athletic Bilbao couldn't find a win and had to settle for a point. The highlight of the match being the fact both teams missed a penalty with about 9 minutes from stoppage time. Aduriz could have won it for Bilbao, following a VAR Review which awarded them a penalty with approximately a minute or so to play for.

^  If the fix was really that simple, who'd be the manager United should be hiring?

I'd say they should call Allegri, but Man Utd would need a lot of patience to get things back in order.

You might also wanna take a look at Leipzig vs Bayern's draw no bet line.  Seems decent.
I'll keep it in mind. Btw, did you see the news about Man Utd? Pogba, Shaw, and Martial, are doubts for the game tomorrow. Also, no Lingard and Wan-Bissaka  Shocked

DNB? More like I should go for Leicester win @3.94  Grin  a bit greedy, though.

Small stake, though  Wink
I do not have much confidence in Man U. They may even lose again LOL

Yeah, that's the overall sentiment surrounding Man Utd right now. But still, bookies have a home win @2.xx and away win @3.9x, even though Leicester City are 3rd in the league table and Man Utd performance's have been pretty underwhelming lately.

Even with a functional squad Man Utd would have a tough day against Leicester, I'll probably wait to get more updates and place my bet while watching Liverpool.

There's no such thing as 'too short or too long'.  Ask Liverpool fans.  Lololol.  They've been in a rut for decades.  I guess it took a lot of fixing behind the scenes to get where they are at today.  United has to do the same.

The problem these days has to do with clubs/fans wanting instantaneous result. Klopp's Liverpool didn't get where they are over a fortnight, it took time and should Klopp leave today, I doubt Liverpool would have much to worry about over the next three seasons. Man Utd needs to get a coach in whose ability and football philosophy they believe in, then, entrust him with the WHOLE process. but that has seemed to be too much for the club

Modric is a valuable player but Real Madrid has a lot of player to cover his position. It won't be a big deal for Zidane.
Real Madrid are in a midfield crisis right now. Modric is valuable but so is Toni Kroos. Right now it is said that Toni Kroos is the only valuable midfielder left who is 100% fit. So even with a few replacements, Real Madrid might struggle to cope in the midfield department in a few upcoming matches.

This is actually a big problem for Zidane when Modric is injured, Real's midfield is minimal. There are six Midfielders currently owned by RM, James, Isco, Casemiro, Fede Valverde, Tony.

As @logfiles said, only Toni Kroos is ready to play.

I am sure that with the current RM situation, Zidane can overcome this problem.

Casemiro is available for selection as well, making him and Toni Kroos the only pure midfielders available at Zidane's disposal.

Marca reported that Fede Valdverde will miss both the fixtures against Levante as well as clash against PSG, with the Uruguayan having tore a muscle.

Not sure if Messi is going to play, if he is not playing then we may see another draw match for Barcelona or the worse is another lose.

It's unlikely they'd risk him for the full ninety minutes, he would likely come on as a sub. But fixtures such as these are bound to be very tough regardless of who is on the pitch. Barcelona would be looking to bounce back from their shaky start to the season. And Valencia would want to start the new era with a memorable victory

Messi is unavailable and wouldn't even get involved in the match, but he could feature for the Champions League opener as he stated in his latest interview.

“I will play when I feel really sure it isn't going to happen again because if it does then I’ll be out for even longer.”

“I really want to play. I hadn’t played for some time and was just back and this happened, so I’m really hungry to get playing again.”

"I certainly won’t be playing against Valencia and we’ll have to wait and see if I’m ready for Dortmund or Granada.”

They have done it before on a budget limited squad under Simeone, why not now after spending?
Hopefully, Simeone will be able to handle the high expectations around the team, otherwise, the players might feel like they can win a game before even playing it, and that usually not goes the way you want it to go (as a Real Madrid fan, i know this lol).

Atletico Madrid or Diego Simeone will never get cocky ahead, from my perspective the team treats every match with the same preparation, except there's something bigger to play for.

^  You can't rule out how fickle the mad Russian is tho.  The United board on the other hand is more willing to stick with their manager as shown with Mou.  And it's not in United's cuture to change managers on a whim.  Chelsea has found some success by doing it under Abramovich's ownership.

I'm of the opinion that even with a relatively good result Man Utd most likely would still part ways with Solksjaer, That's inline with what tomahawk highlighted that an average result (qualifying for second round of CL and maybe a top 4 finish) could secure Lampard till the start of another season, I doubt finishing 4th in the EPL would be enough for Solkjaer.
6620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: September 11, 2019, 09:07:28 AM
And England 5:3 Kosovo - WTF was that?

Three goals against England, not so bad. Kosovo score first in the first minute. Nobody expects it I guess?

England needs to work their defense, especially in the first 15" half. All of Kosovo's goals are scored on the early part of the game.

I guess as much too, I didn't see that coming, Kosovo putting three goals past the England's defense. But England team is still a work in progress, they're solid in attack, quite better in midfield, I'm sure they'll work on their defensive structure too.

Ronaldo and Joao Felix, not a bad setup for Portugal

Ronaldo scored 1 goal so far, if he will score again he will do a new record as a top scorer on EURO qualification stage.

He can do it, Lituania, their opponent is kind weak.

GOAT.
It's just rather incredible that he keeps getting better with age!
