Well said about the spending strategy as all big teams are buying into the idea of spending more during the transfer window. The likes of Barcelona are still spending millions even with all the quality players they had. Manchester city also spent millions before they because the force they're today. With the funds and right manager any team can buy their way into becoming a winning force in the premier league.

About your stats, Allison isn't the world most expensive goalkeeper. He was bought for £65m from AS Roma while Kepa was bought for £71m.

I normally don't do any bets out of the blue, but I got a nice surprise for my birthday and decided to put it all on Liverpool to blow away Newcastle in the first half.

$23 or so at almost 3/1 for the Reds to win 1st half 2 goals or more. Fairlay has nice odds for Scorers too...

Not easy for sure, Newcastle defend tight as hell.

^  Nope not really.  Fernandinho makes a decent center back (and I don't think Kyle Walker's injured).  Even City's bench can take on Norwich away.  

And the club to watch lose could be United.

Oh and I don't usually do parlays but went over 2.5 for the LFC vs NUFC, Norwich vs City and Watford vs Arsenal matches at 3.  Fun.

I wouldn't even call that a surprise. As it stand now in Premier League only real surprises are when/if Liverpool or City lose points. Everybody else will lose points in about a third of the games they should win.

City missing some defenders could result with Norwich scoring a goal or two but they will still concede enough to lose with handicap. Maybe we get a treat with result like 6:2 for the City.

Net spend is the difference between what you sell & what you buy. LFC sold Coutinho for 142 million euros which covered the 75 million they paid for VVD & whatever Alisson was, 65 million or something.

LFC didn’t spend anything much this summer either, Klopp always has a low net spend, this was the same at Dortmund.

LFC has always been sell to buy until now. They weren’t very good so they were selling their best players & using that cash to buy news one’s. See Sterling & Suarez too.
Now I guess they are very good so nobody wants to leave.

Very risky but you may have a chance. Newcastle's defense is good but Liverpool is playing excellent football these days. I predict we will see an early goal (in ten to fifteen minutes) from Liverpool and then we have rest of the time of first half to score one or two more goals.

If you would gone for Liverpool by 1 then I would say the risk was nearly zero. Anyway, good luck brother. I hope you had a memorable birthday.

I'm sure the score will end with a narrow victory for Liverpool, it's possible the score will end 1-0 or 2-1.

I don't think it's that much if a crisis as at now. Kompany's departure is not a surprise, and it has been an outdoor quite sometime.
Injuries are a huge part if the game and except a team is lucky, they would have their fair share of it during the course of the season.

Even though nothing is impossible in football, this one doesn't look likely to happen(city losing to Norwich) this weekend,smaller teams do spring up surprises, but the chances of a surprise in this one are actually slim.

You need to take a look at the squad difference between the two teams, no matter what city injury problems are, the players who would act as makeshift would be quality players that'll probably be first team players in most epl clubs, I see no chance for Norwich this weekend, they'll be lucky to escape a thrashing.

You need to take a look at the squad difference between the two teams, no matter what city injury problems are, the players who would act as makeshift would be quality players that'll probably be first team players in most epl clubs, I see no chance for Norwich this weekend, they'll be lucky to escape a thrashing.

Getting a draw or did not concede too many goals is an achievable target imo. Even if they can't win they should keep their chance to stay in the premier league for the next season by getting points from every match.

Would be interesting to see the team selections and match managements from the premier league teams in the UCL (Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham, Chelsea) as UEFA's premier league begins next week.

Fatigue would start playing a part, and you should out that I to consideration when placing a bet in any of those teams going forward.

Nice.  Yeah I just bet small too.  You might also wanna take a look at Leipzig vs Bayern's draw no bet line.  Seems decent.  I'm a fan of Leipzig's new (young) manager.

Yeah...  I forgot about Coutinho.  I guess they got it more balanced than City does.  But here's the thing, a club has to spend to get to the top 4.  Not spending and getting there consistently would be brilliant but very unlikely.

Finally the EPL is back tomorrow, I don’t foresee any big shocks, Man City & LFC will win comfortably. Potentially Man Utd could drop points against Leicester but would that even be a shock with how average Man Utd are these days?
