6601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trading experience on: July 12, 2019, 08:23:18 PM
Hey everybody I want to share my trading experience with these guys: https://discord.gg/2cjRufh. I've been using their free crypto calls for a few months, and I made a small profits 1-3% almost every other day. Also the community is very helpful and I learned a lot new information and ways to cope with emotional trading.
I will suggest you first start with small trades until you become more knowledgeable and calm.

It is great to read an advice, especially about trading, coming from a newbie. Most of the time, such advise comes from the old-timers here. I guess, you have been involved in cryptocurrency trading for a long time already. The point however is that you are promoting a discord channel which I prefer not to click since it is, again, coming from a newbie. For security purposes, I prefer to avoid the same.

First of all, a newbie can be an experienced trader because not all traders are active on this forum or have high valued account. Secondly you can join discord channel but do not pay for anything. If he ask for payment for signals, just ignore him as this is a scam business being done by many newbie traders.
6602  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: July 07, 2019, 03:41:09 PM
For $651~ you could of got yourself a shiny whole bitcoin on coinbase plus their $6.66 fee.
I wouldnt of mind paying this fee on top regardless.
Even if they were asking 10% of the purchase amount at the time which is probably more by now. Wink

That is history and that time will not come back. If anyone knew the potential of bitcoin, they would have bought all at such cheap price.

After 5 years from now, you might again be showing a photo where we see bitcoin at 11,000$ and we all would be wishing we could have accumulated bitcoin at such low prices.
6603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: July 07, 2019, 02:12:27 PM
Bitcoin will provide that wealth as long as you're financially motivated to pursue your dreams in life, and as you buy this asset and grow it's value your potential profit would give you the desired wealth you want. Stop hesitations and stay having positive outlook towards digital currency.

If you are motivated, energetic and use your skills in correct way, for sure you will keep on earning bitcoins and paper money too. Bitcoin won't make you wealthy, its your hard work which will make you rich person.

If you can buy bitcoin and if you can hold it for a long time then it is still time to be wealthy by holding bitcoin. Better to buy without wasting your valuable time.

Holding bitcoin is best for those who have no such skills to increase their coins.
6604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AVOID trading at all costs, unless.... on: July 07, 2019, 02:01:46 PM
Everybody is a newbie at some point of time. This doesn't mean they should not try for what they desire.
Failing are the stepping stones to success. Avoiding trade just because they are new to it wouldn't be the advice I would give to somebody.
In my opinion a person should try and learn from their mistakes. This is how they grow and evolve and get experienced in that field.

If you never try it, you will never gain and overcome it.
Newbie should be positive about the trading and should first focus on learning the trading. Everyone makes mistakes initially and no one is born to be expert from day one. All those successful traders out there were newbies traders who used to do a lot of mistakes.
6605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Free Exchanges Fees? is this Possible. on: July 07, 2019, 01:34:33 PM
can we possibly have an Exchange with little or No fees for trading and transfers of token. is it possible of having such platform especially for we that depends on Airdrops to earn crypto. seriously No time for bounties or trading. but it seems that we have been left out because the little we have can not be transfered to exchanges.
Quite a pity.

This is what you think as you are depended upon air drops only. Practically exchanges are made with the intention of earning money and if there is no trading fee, how will exchanges will earn? New exchanges may waive the trading fee initially to promote their sites but they can't run the exchange without getting some revenue out of it.
6606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much money do I need to start investing on bitmex? on: July 07, 2019, 01:18:08 PM
Hey.
Just a quick question to you guys - How much money I need to start investing on Bitmex?
Im thinking about using leverage, I know it's risky but my capital won't be too big.

Leverage trading is not for small investors. If you do leverage trade with small amount you can be liquidated very quickly if the market moves in opposite direction. For leverage trading you need quite a big portfolio and only then you will be in benefit as you have power to sustain the bitcoin movements.
If you have small investment then its better to trade at other exchanges and leave leverage trading for time being.
6607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone else experienced this with Stake.com?? on: July 07, 2019, 01:00:47 PM
I have played at Stake before and I never seen any glitch or bug by their side regarding incorrect balance or not showing correct amount of money. It is most likely a problem from your side rather than theirs so you have to check things first, maybe a bot or autobets have made you experience this.

Same is the case with me. I never noticed any abnormality in stake.com balance and it always showed me accurate balance. If anyone faces this issue once, he can logoff and login again. If the issue is a repeated one, contacting the support is the best option.
6608  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | V2 & New games out now! 👽 on: July 07, 2019, 07:45:19 AM
I think I've missed something, but since when faucets are disable? I've just got "The faucet has been disabled" messege.

Hey there. Actually, you can still claim faucet, but only in Doge coin. I cannot state for sure, but I guess the faucet feature will be completely disabled in the future.

Also, if you have some questions or doubts, you may always contact us on the Support chat or email. We'll be happy to help and explain everything. Smiley Take care!

Hey there. Just checked - fauced worked with doge. Gave me 0.00000500 doge Smiley

Strange that it only works with doge.

I could not test the faucet with doge because i have balance in doge and faucet only works if you have zero balance. However to check, i did try bitcoin faucet and it says that the faucet is disabled. The faucet can be disabled for any reason (maintenance etc) but the there should be announcement of it on stake.com to avoid unnecessary rumours.
6609  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: July 07, 2019, 07:35:37 AM

I m not sure what exactly you are trying to calculate. Can you give a bit more detail?

lets take India vs Sri lanka as an example
currently there are 0.1375 BTC in the pool
odds are : India 1.07   Sri Lanka 6.55   Tie : 34.31

let's say I want to bet 0.02 BTC on Tie , such calculator can do the math and tell me how my bet will affect the odds so it will tell me if I place the bet how it will change the odds for all of the selections

and since onehash had one I guess freebitcoin can have one as well

Did the calculator worked perfectly for onehash ?
On the tie, you will get 34.31. It means you will get 0.02 x 34.31 = X amount of btc.
6610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need partner to bet with on: July 07, 2019, 04:50:27 AM
i need partner who has an account in bet365 or planetofbets who is able to bet no less than 0.1 btc for some chosen matchs of foot-ball with higher odd 1.7 to 2.00  . for each bet he must give me 40% of the gain . i am expert in foot. only serious people plz

Ok and if we get a loss then ? Who will be responsible then ?
This is an easy and old way of scamming whereby one do not have to invest and risk any money. If you win the bet, you will get share in the profit and if you lose the bet, the person loses his money and the one who gave advice has nothing to lose.
6611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever stopped or removed from casino on: July 07, 2019, 04:35:55 AM

I definitely do see where you're coming from with this. Once you get past the drive/distance + the judgement (somewhat), I do believe IRL casinos can be more fun. It's better to go w/ more than 1 person though.

For sure. But if you will spend a lot more why not spend it with someone you love?

Make sure to stay somewhat in the budget you set, so the travel won't end up in getting mad at each other, which is probably worse than not traveling at all.

I was asking myself this days, from which places could i get kicked out. Just for curiosity. Never happened this one to me personally, but if it happens in the future i will make sure to tell here.

If any person repeatedly do any misbehave in casino, for sure the casino staff won't allow him to enter in casino.
But still it is very uncommon that anyone is kicked out of casino. I never experienced it and neither i saw someone being kicked out of casino. Although the security staff is there inside casino for those who try to misbehave etc but we hardly see any such incident.
6612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "how to" of building a gambling site on: July 07, 2019, 04:24:51 AM
When you don't know how to build such website it means you should rather buy a casino from someone else or a template based on which you will build your own site. You can also hire a professional to do this for you. It's better not to choose the trial and error method because every error will cost you a lot of money. You will also spend more on testing and the process will take more time.

Running a gambling business and being a website developer/programmer is a separate thing. I do not see any web developer who build the gambling site and start his gambling business. In normal circumstances, the business owners hires such programmer who will build the website for them.
Developing a gambling website is a complex task and we do not need to know it if we have any plans to establish a gambling casino.
6613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: July 06, 2019, 05:23:12 AM
There are gamblers that skeptical on that gambling site that has the implementation of KYC/AML because, for them, gambling is not the right way to expose your real identity to the public or on the internet. There's no problem for me if I undergo in passing personal data as long as the site is trusted and reputed enough and they are operated at least 1 year old.

Different gamblers have each different perspective way on adopting KYC because they want lurking around and remain of being anonymous since cryptocurrency is also anonymous.
For now exposing your privacy is not a big deal but if you turned out to be a millionaire in the next few years and all your sensitive information available on the sites of gambling, its really danger right?

Even if you do not become millionaire, your private data can be misused. It can be used for any agreement or proof in the unlawful and illegal activities and you can be in serious trouble if this happens. It is not advisable to give your personal data to websites on the internet which have no reputation.
6614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is blockchain gambling business beneficial? on: July 01, 2019, 03:50:24 PM
There are many games on blockchain on Asian market. How benefecial is it? Therefore, gambling industry has never suffered from lack of attention. And now, when blockchain technologies are being used for online games, the demand should increase. At least among users, such platforms will cause more confidence than ordinary platforms that spread like mushrooms, where you do not know whether you can withdraw your earnings or not
Yes! It is worth and valuable in gambling. Blockchain together with cryptocurrency makes gambling more interesting. Imagine, we can make money using cryptocurrency and gambling. In addition, there are also people who engage in gambling because of cryptocurrency. Just like me, Supposedly I do not know that there is online casino and I found it when I am using cryptocurrency.

I too think that almost 50% of the gamblers are those who enter in gambling because of bitcoins. Before the crypto, the craze of online gambling was limited and people were not very eager to spent their credit cards in online gambling. It's the bitcoin and crypto due to which we have seen a lot of growth in the gambling industry in last 2 to 3 years.
6615  Economy / Economics / Re: Any other areas that blockchain can be used? on: June 30, 2019, 01:32:28 PM
I've seen some companies testing it out in supply chains and registration information like titles and contracts.  None of them seem to be taking off though and the biggest use case remains to be censorship resistant money that can't be manipulated big a single party.

Blockchain can be used in many other forms and fields. In my country, some authorities are working to develop a blockchain based land revenue based system which will store all the land data in the blockchain which will make it secure and no one can modify the records from a blockchain based system.
Projects based on blockchain cannot be tempered and hence are secure.
6616  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Insurance on: June 30, 2019, 01:08:00 PM
What are your thoughts about having a compulsory insurance when someone wants to do some ICO so that investors are safe and the participants are also safe? So if ever they want to scam people, people are secured.

This is definitely a good idea since ICOs have a very bad image as of now. If this would happen, we would need a third party to hold the insurance fund either its a company, or an escrow. With this, the chances of an ICO to be a scam would be limitted.

It would be difficult to determine the price of the coins or maintain the price of the coins, so the purpose of insurance for an ico just not fall in the scope.

Due to the heightened risk of ICOs ending up as scams and just money grabs, I don't think insurance companies would even dare enter this market full of shitholes and scammers knowing that they're always betting against the wrong side of the coin. Also, even with the amount of regulations imposed for ICOs, I don't think people will view it differently ever again, knowing that only a few percent of those ICOs actually turned out to be legitimate. We know how insurance companies operate, and of course they wouldn't enter a market wherein they wouldn't gain shit.

No one will give any insurance for ICO because most of them are scam from the beginning. No insurance company will take such risk. Even i think IEO are also not reliable. They are however better then ICO because they list on exchanges at least.
6617  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin eventually disappear... on: June 30, 2019, 12:53:23 PM
I doubt it will disappear, Bitcoin is on its tenth year and we have a majority of responsible users who knows how to take care of their wallet, and newbies are not lacked tutorials on how to protect their coins and their private key, there are so many articles about it online and so many youtube videos as well.
right what you convey crypto or bitcoin currency is growing or missing it depends on the government and the investor itself so if the investor doesn't trade bitcoin again and the government forbids it hard maybe also b itcoin will disappear
I am still so sure that crypto and bitcoin will last a long time. although sometimes the government prohibits the circulation of bitcoin in every country. but even though many governments disagree, there are still many people who have used it to date.

Its strange to see that many people still believe that bitcoin is a bubble or temporary currency and it will fade away with time. This is not going to happen. Come back here in 10 years time and you will see bitcoin the main currency and fiat being eliminated or being very less used.
6618  Economy / Economics / Re: The Central Bank of Facebook on: June 30, 2019, 12:19:12 PM
One way or another, the Facebook coin will be used for trading within the network.  And if you consider each user individually, then since this resource is most used by citizens of Africa and India, you can outline the circle of interested people.  In any case, it is not necessary now to have a very limited opinion on this project.  The best look at the results.

As far as i know facebook is not supporting the Libra coin to be used in India at present. They may include and increase the supported countries list in the future though. Anyways it is yet to see whether this over hyped facebook coin manage to keep its hype and interest among the public.
6619  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you want to see on a Crypto Only exchange ? on: June 30, 2019, 12:09:38 PM
Of course I, as a crypto currency trader, wants an easy, safe, practical and efficient exchange, the KYC problem for me is not a problem, it is something that will protect us from actions that will harm the exchange and ourselves, many people complain about KYC, they feel that their privacy KYC has been disrupted.

I want to see volume first because if they have a great volume and they are not faking it, I can conclude that they are a good exchange.
Every exchange claim that they are the safest exchange but actually no exchange is safer from hack, but with the volume, they can't claim if they don't have the evidence which we can easily.

We do not need to make an account on every new exchange and deposit our money there. The prices of altcoins are almost similar across exchanges and therefore it is not require to do trading on new exchanges.  The new exchanges are only useful for any shitcoins to be listed there as there listing fees are less than the reputed old exchanges.
6620  Economy / Economics / Re: How to gradually replace a national currency with bitcoins on: June 30, 2019, 11:46:28 AM
I have been doing some thinking on how one would gradually convert a national currency to bitcoins.

The idea being that colored coins are used to peg the currency to the national currency for a specific amount of satoshis.

The amount of satoshis would need to equal the amount that the specific nation could handle as the smallest value that can be used as a currency.

Let's say that country X has a total of $100 billion of wealth in its own currency. To have each penny equal to one satoshi you would need 100,000 BTC set aside as colored coins for this nation (however that is done, a big national push, wealthy group, whichever).

For simplicity let's say the current BTC price is $10k/BTC. $1 billion would be needed to set this up.

Each colored satoshi will be given the value of .001 cents at the current conversion rate, and follow the rate of the nation's currency either through some sort of smart contract or centrally controlled ("trusted" sources) method.

People then use these colored coins in their day to day transactions, setting up payment terminals, lightning network payments, etc. It's just a new payment method with their same currency using a back end network that they need not understand.

As the bitcoin price rises from $10k/BTC to $1 million/BTC, their satoshis are now equal to one penny.

It is at this point that the moniker of their old currency is dropped and they use the satoshi as the smallest denomination, 100 satoshi as their main currency. They can now interact with this currency with the full Bitcoin network.

It may take years, but the adoption of this method for the nation would push that bitcoin price toward that $1 million/BTC and the same approach can be done for other nations.

TL;DR Smallest currency denomination is pegged to colored satoshis until one satoshi equals the smallest currency denomination and it is no longer colored.

Thoughts?

This is both hard to understand and implement too. Colored satoshi idea is just not suited for a currency which is not physical. The best idea can be to allow and legalize bitcoin in your country and use them as a means of payment. Although government will lose control over the currency, but this is the only way we can shift to bitcoins and digital currency.
