Fighter of the year - Lopez, due to the level of opposition in Loma. Who would have think that the latter would lose that fight.

Knockout of the year - Povetkin vs Whyte

Fight of the year - Fury vs Wilder 2.

@Baofeng, can you add "Robbery of the Year award" bro? Smiley

If there is i would nominate Moloney vs Franco 2. The officials of that fight did have the benefit of a review but they seem blind not to see that there is no headbutt on that fight and rule the fight a "no contest" robbing Moloney of that championship belt.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymQbUyYW0JI

Watch ^^ and you be the judge.

Lol, you beat me too it buddy, I was just watching that fight again and wanted to add that to our very own boxing awards. Yes, referee Mora made a big mistake on the call. I was also thinking of adding "Comeback fighter of the year", but it is obvious that Spence will take that award.

Looks like Lopez is the sure winner for fighter of the year base votes because of the strength of his domination of Loma.

Hi boxing fans,

I've just created this thread as a year-end, honouring the achievement of this fighters in this pandemic filled boxing match.

Teofimo Lopez - destroying Loma invincibility

Fight of the year candidate:

Lopez vs Loma
Davis vs Sta Cruz

Povetkin vs Whyte
Jose Zepeda vs Ivan Baranchyk - I advise you to watch the high lights  Grin back and forth knock downs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1OqMFWLroU

Knock-out of the year candidate:

Povetkin vs Whyte
Davis vs Sta Cruz

Robbery of the year:
Franco vs Moloney 2
6603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proved it once again on: December 10, 2020, 11:49:53 PM
Bitcoin has proved it once again that it's the key player in the world of crypto and prices of altcoins depends of bitcoin, we witnessed it yesterday wherein bitcoin's value dropped which caused huge fluctuations in the value of altcoins and even drove altcoins to red zone but when Bitcoin quickly regained the value he altcoin market got steady.

Of course if not all, majority of altcoins is paired with bitcoin. So obviously, bitcoin is the measuring stick of all crypto coins. People really don't understand that altcoin market is more volatile than bitcoin, and they think that they can make quick and big money in altcoin, yes it's true, there is this pump-and-dump method in altcoin. But if you are not that careful, chances are you are going to lose your money very fast as well. And just observed that we are near all time high, or as others have said, we have reach in already. But look at the top 10 altcoins, most of the are not even close to 50% of their previous all time highs.

6604  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: Fake Trust Wallet Beta Program site on: December 10, 2020, 11:25:33 PM
Interesting how did you found this fake site, just randomly browsing or searching for specific thing in the search engines? I tried with google to search for Trust Wallet Beta but I cound't find hit on that one. Maybe they have already removed it.

You just have to blend in with the crowd.

BTW Congrats on reaching 1000+ earned merit Smiley

Thanks mate, really appreciate coming from you.
6605  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bullrun & Altoin bear market on: December 09, 2020, 10:57:19 PM
Is it possible to have Bitcoin bullrun wherein altcoin continues to trend in red, we have witnessed that altcoins has been falling from grace in last few days wherein Bitcoin is steady (apart from today's dump) and heading towards $20k to set a new landmark. I am discussing about top altcoins here wherein we should not be considering coins with low volume which is manipulated consecutively.

It's possible, when altcoin whales and investors suddenly shift to bitcoin because that is where the money is. I don't think it will be sustainable though. as far as I can remember, when we have a bull run in 2017, the dominance of bitcoin is around 40%-50%. But currently we are way above at 60%. So it's a long way to go to see this kind of scenario, it could happen though when bitcoin really goes on dramatic rise in the coming months.

6606  Economy / Scam Accusations / {Warning}: Fake Trust Wallet Beta Program site on: December 09, 2020, 10:32:35 PM

6607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 09, 2020, 09:39:41 PM
As a youtube blogger, Logan Paul probably will put a a camera to his helmet to stream live pov of of his defeat.
He will 200% advertise something during his fight video. This will bring him millions, despite getting something from sponsors. Btw Floyd should also start his youtube channel.
Lol... You are beyond imagination, mate. It would be go flying around if Paul Logan put something like that on his head.
Since it's an exhibition match, of course, advertising is everywhere plus their shorts is full of brands already. But I doubt about the views though since everyone knew who's gonna win but still we can't deny that Mayweather and Logan had some real fans so maybe there will be a million views.

Floyd's real fans are though people buying tickets and PPV just wanting to see him lose, but it ain't happening as Floyd hasn't lost, not this exhibition match. So I doubt that his real hard core fans are going to buy tickets because they know that their boy are going to win, for all the fun fare of this fight with a Youtube sensation, not a true boxer.
6608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there governments that are utilizing the technology of Blockchain & Bitcoin? on: December 09, 2020, 09:18:03 PM
It just came out of my curiosity, I know I can simply do a research for this but I think it's also good to talk about it here in this forum since I think we all came here to be educated and gain more knowledge about Bitcoin and other cryptos. Aside from Africa of course, What are the other governments that has aside from legalizing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are actually using the technology of Blockchain and Bitcoin to give their economy a bigger boost? I mean, it's a good idea to legalize it and give people the freedom but I haven't seen other governments on stepping up and making good use of crypto to actually boost the economy of their country.

Here's one, the Government of Canada,

https://explorecatena.com/

And since many countries have been implementing electronic voting, it has been viewed that blockchain technology can be used as well in this electoral process.

Namecoin Core Name Renew GUI

Namecoin Core Name Renew GUI

Dec 5, 2020 • Jeremy Rand

Now that Namecoin Core’s name_list GUI is merged to master branch (it’ll be in the v22.0 release!), it’s time to move on to renewing names. As with the name_list GUI, I’m trying to follow the principles of (1) keeping PR’s small, and (2) keeping all the interesting logic in the RPC method rather than the GUI.

In service of principle 1, I’m not touching the “Configure Name” GUI, nor am I touching the “Renew Name” button; this only adds the right-click context menu for renewing names. In service of principle 2, yanmaani has done the excellent work of adding a renew mode to the name_update RPC method, which simplifies the GUI logic considerably.

https://www.namecoin.org/2020/12/05/namecoin-core-name-renew-gui.html

So they are still much very active this 2020, https://www.namecoin.org/news/, lots of things going on behind.

Historically, it started as a discussion about BitDNS->Namecoin

6610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia IBF & WBC Welterweight Title on: December 09, 2020, 05:50:49 PM
Ok so he is back, show flashes of his old self in beating a plodding Danny Garcia, Lol. But to be honest, it's a win, but I'm not impressed though of Spence. I think if he and Crawford will fight next year, definitely, I will go for Crawford. Both has sharp jab, but what separates is that Crawford is somewhat a cerebral fighter, and has a good timing. Anyhow, we all wanted both of them next year in the right and prove who is the best 147 lbs right now. Winner fights Manny, for all the glory and their biggest pay check of their carrier.

Not that much impressive but still a win indeed. Watching the fight with lots of defensive style, not much of explosive change of
punch, just normal one that fans will wait for the final announcement.

With what you mentioned regarding to the next possible fight against Crawford, that might be the challenged for Spence how he'll
counter those punches that Crawford will throw.

We will enjoy that one as it's probably one of the biggest if not the biggest next year. However, we need both camps to agree as their undefeated record is at stake here, but I think it's already due, they'll make big money for that risk, so it's worth the risk.

The only road block for this mega fight is the promoter. I don't know if you guys have read what Bob Arum has said on Crawford's win against Brook, that Bud is hard to promote, I will not be surprised if Crawford will not re-sign with Top Rank next year after his contract expires and he will move to PBC.

If that happens then we are going to see Crawford vs Spence or any of the top welterweights under PBC.

I just quickly glance and search the community about Paxful:

paxful scam alert
Do not use PAXFUL it is a Scammer site.
Paxful is SCAM!
Beware from Paxful Scams
!SCAM 🚨! Paxful Today Stoles 0.98 BTC!

So in any case, one should be careful about this platform, the OP hadn't had any bad experience yet, but it doesn't that it is safe for everyone.
6612  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake MyCelium be aware! on: December 08, 2020, 10:15:32 PM
Don't they analysis app before approving it on playstore anymore 😩, or they just approve it to tarnish crypto it self what really happening?
Let be careful when picking a Wallet to avoid fraud or loss of assets.

It's obvious that Google doesn't care much what apps are going to be approved and available on their store. And that's the difference between them and Apple, which is very strict thats' why we seldom hear any malicious apps getting into their apps store. So everyone should really do our due diligence when trying to download apps in Play store specially with regards to crypto wallets as we don't want to be the next victim by these criminals.

Sad to hear that Coins.ph are not going to support Spark distribution. So nakakapang hinayang sa mga holders ng XRP ngayon sa platform nila. In any case, ang the best approach is talagang ilipat nyo or bumili kayo ng XRP sa mga exchanges na mag support para maka tanggap kayo ng free token. Good luck.

6615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking on ETH 2.0 on: December 08, 2020, 05:05:15 PM
With the recent launch of Ethereum 2.0, people are now rushing to the launchpad for staking

But is it worth it?

The rewards are looking very appealing but the stake is going to stay illiquid for a long time. Will a third party staking provider help in mitigating some risk?

Of course it will be illiquid because it is staking. No need for a third party staking provider, it will just complicate things in an already complicated process. At this point? we can't really say if it's worth it because the initial capital is too big, at least for me. And only those who can afford it can make money in the beginning, that is if the business model can really pay you out, so let's see how it goes.

Third parties provide advantages and disadvantages to those who are interested to stake ETH.

But if your concern is the huge starting amount of ETH to be able to participate in the staking, third parties will really be an advantage. On your own, you need 32 ETH to become a validator. But participating in the likes of Binance Staking, you only need to have at least 0.0001 ETH to join and earn profit and additional rewards.

Yeah, but with that small amount=small rewards as well so I don't know if it will be satisfying to join the Binance staking, but as well do your trade as average joe's and squeezing some profit in a week or two and earn more than 0.0001 ETH. And as pointed out by @FanEagle, your money will be lock for a long time.

The annual return is just numbers for now, as we haven't fully grasp how big or small it will really be.
6616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: December 07, 2020, 09:49:00 PM
Fury helping this fight by adding some fuel to the fire:

Fury To Joshua: I'm Coming For You, I Want To Smash Your Face In!

Quote
"Anthony Joshua, has it ever dawned on you I'm not interested in being a superstar, or famous. I'm a fighting man and only interested in smashing your face in, you keep the stardom, I'll stay real, you big dosser. I'm coming for you superstar, tick tock tick tock," Fury stated.

https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-joshua-im-coming-you-i-want-smash-your-face--153859

Lol, Joshua should thank the Gypsy King here, because we all know that he is still the A-side in heavyweight and he is also swarm by boxing media. So every time he opens his mouth and talk about Joshua, then it's a plus for him since he is the busier with a schedule fight with Pulev.
