Bitcointalk is back. Bullish!  Cool

That's enough of a bullish signal for me
Although the price went up while we were down muted the trollbox hehe
6622  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] (Staff Only) Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: January 21, 2015, 06:02:59 PM
Maybe I got the reason for the delay!
Right now there are too many signature campaigns to choose with and if stunna jumps in then the competition between campaigns will get tougher and will lead to rise in pay per post rate(like it happened in updown.bt's time). Stunna doesn't want to pay a FM@0.001BTC/post(yeah competition will make stunna to raise prices to this level at this time) and so stunna is delaying.

I very much doubt it has anything to do with that and there's not that many at the moment. Most are closed apart from bitmixer I think. I also don't think there's much competition that could match PD right now either, but I'm sure their rates will be the best. Looking forward to it if it ever comes regardless.

Oh, no, trust me, there is competition that could easily match and surpass PD's right now.

I wouldn't be so sure of that but the competition would be nice. I don't think many people would be able to compete with the 50btc budget if that is indeed what is still happening or if they could how long would they last? PD seems to be the only campaign that has stuck around in some capacity. They seem to cum and go every other month with a few ever surpassing that.

BIT-X can and will if needed, although PrimeDice and BIT-X are 2 completely different sites in the bitcoin ecoshpere. Check out BIT-X's campaign thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877765.0

True enough two different spheres
Still it is nice to have more choices between sig campaigns to keep it competitive.
6623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin - Full Movie | Download | Watch Online for Free on: January 20, 2015, 03:31:33 AM

Thanks, but it seems that the movie is available again on www.coinlearn.org/movie.php

Yeah!  Unless you want to be hacked, etc.

That page will load and Yes, you can watch the movie; however, it will then start loading all kinds of spyware.

IE
0427D7.se  5.150.195.167
or
aabe3b.se  5.150.195.167

The fake software updater as well.....
The page at https://softwareupdaterlp.com says:

UPDATES RECOMMENDED! It is recommended that you install the software to ensure your software and browser is the latest version.

Edit:
The site will send you to random hacked site.
revisit sends me to a cooking handbook or even:
- Phishing attack ahead   Attackers on pcwarning.ga might try to trick you to steal your information (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).

The video is in iframe. The original source is videomega.tv. The movie was uploaded multiple times on youtube, but it was always taken down. We could find only this link of the full movie for free and hence we are using it. If you know a better and safe link, please let us know. We will update accordingly.

Sounds like it makes sense to host it somewhere like mega and then have a controlling url to it
Perhaps just upload it somewhere if not I can help you with that.

Stop crashing Bitcoin, or even the last real world usage for Bitcoin beside child porn and terrorism will be gone!
 Angry

http://uk.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-crash-drug-dealers-2015-1

“Out a couple of thousand over this,” writes one dealer. “Bad f---ing time to start up. I really hope it bounces back and stays there. I can’t believe how fast they’re dropping. $330 to 280 to 220 in just a few weeks. Bye bye profit.”

“I am losing losing 10-20% on all orders in escrow now!” says another. “Make that 30%!!! There goes all profit! FML.”

One deep web cocaine dealer spoke to Business Insider about the price crash. “It’s pretty damn sad,” they said. “We have worked so hard over the past 3 months, and for profits to get halved? It’s hard to swallow, simple as that, but what can you do. It’s a gamble, whether you hold or sell.”

They'd cashed out and had a massive payday during the bubble in November 2013, so they weren't immediately hurt by the dropping prices. But it’s still “hard work down the toilet.” And other, newer dealers don't have that luxury: they’ll be forced to sell reserves at a loss just to keep going (and potentially forcing the price down even more in the process).

"It´s a death spiral! If it it doesn´t end soon, we (the vendors) will have to switch to something more solid and reliable, like DOGE!"

Now that was one interesting highlight article
Kind of curious about this if the dealers can't handle the volatility and want to move to another coin that would be sort of a surprise
Not a total one though because as mainstream moves in to replace origins drugs sex booze gambling sites etc they would move somewhere else where their is less spotlight.
6625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your Total time logged into Bitcointalk on: January 20, 2015, 02:59:05 AM
It's been a while since I last did this
13 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes.

I'll have to remember to check in a few months then compare it over a year lol.
6626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amagi Metals Now Pays All Staff in Bitcoin on: January 20, 2015, 02:20:47 AM
in hind sight...  those poor employees.  Grin

Ha-ha ah so true tokeweed so true
Although I though amagi went into an all bitcoin position a while back so I kind of presumed they were all already being paid in Bitcoin as well, guess not since they are still leaving the US dollar by 2017.
6627  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - the gambling MMORPG on: January 19, 2015, 10:17:26 PM
I believe we're actually the longest running Bitcoin based game in the world - continuous operation since October of 2010. We'd routinely tell each other "you know, we're probably with future $100 bills right now. "

(Bitcoins were about a nickel at the time. )

Teppy

I could tell from this post

If you lose Bitcoins due to a server crash, we'll do everything we can to verify any lost jackpots, and reimburse you for them. After a server crash we may temporarily disable withdrawals to prevent double-withdrawals. We credit your first (up to 100 BTC) deposit immediately (in Bitcoin lingo, 0 confirmations), but prevent withdrawals until we've had 2 confirmations since your most recent deposit (about 12 minutes.)

^_^
6628  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 19, 2015, 10:15:25 PM

Well RoadStress -  Speculation on the price of miners based on a 120 chip board was discussed here, and Friedcat replied to it with his expected pricing..

I suspect he didn't post anything in this thread because here all the trolls create more noise than it's worth..

Stock price hasn't moved..   Bail out now while you can.

Well stock price hasn't moved because the mass production of chips is still scheduled for March and miners might go out to customers in late March or early April. That's a minimum of 2 months of no dividends. No reason for anyone to buy shares now.

True enough just time to sit and hold or I guess sell your shares try to find a place to reinvest with a dividend guess Dealco on havelock since it's the most consistent then get back in if things are going well in early April or mid March if you want to jump a bit early on the assumption of positive news with the chips and sales.
6629  Economy / Gambling / Re: Overview of Popular Bitcoin Gambling Websites [Updated 18th Jan] on: January 19, 2015, 10:13:21 PM
Well it's nice to have an overview thread in this section
The main reason being the ponzi army of sites that make it a pain to keep track of actual gambling sites
So bump as well.

Well edit in here: Just joined this sig campaign so um can you check them out lol
https://multidice.me/

Should make a joke thread
Overview of Ponzi Schemes and what not lol (Looking at all the gambling thread topics)
6630  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - the gambling MMORPG on: January 19, 2015, 10:09:09 PM
Since someone necroed a 3 year old thread just curious is the game still working and how does it play
Kind of surprised to see the website is still up as well so that is neat
6631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular/Trusted Bitcoin Game | 1% Edge | Active Chat | Free BTC on: January 19, 2015, 10:05:32 PM
Sorry to be off topic,

but does anybody know when PD sig campaign is starting again?

It should start soon according to Stunna but given that it has been a few months because of issues here and there your guess is as good as mine to the actual launch.
6632  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ MultiDice signature campaign ★★★ on: January 19, 2015, 10:02:16 PM

6633  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tom Chen Creates Device He Says Can Strengthen Vagina Muscles With Video Games on: January 09, 2015, 01:40:24 AM
So a girl buys it, puts it in, plugs one end of the cord in the thingie (dildo?) and the other into the phone... a lot of hassle just to prove you're able to play a game with your vag Cheesy

I assume it uses bluetooth.   Or pinktooth.

Imagine girls playing it in the subway on the way to school/ work. Next generation - xbox controllers you can fit in your anus Cheesy

That would amuse me
Some people would look at a girls screen not sure how she is controlling it and since it vibrates look at her and see her looking happy and be none the wiser the whole time ^^

6635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would people think if I created a Bitcoin jobs board of my own? on: December 19, 2014, 10:20:03 PM
Give it a shot, it is worth a try.
Definitely seems like its worth a try the board more or less does not allow for new areas to be created
No testing mechanisms etc.
So you are better off making your own
6636  Economy / Speculation / Re: Official Bitcoin Price Prediction for Dec 31, 2014 on: December 14, 2014, 01:00:07 AM

I worry about you, gentlemen.  I worry...

Fair enough notlambchop

The price did not go into a rally this year that said I look forward to the predictions for 2015
Based on the graph its a bimodal curve with the pessimistic/realist view winning out to the dream state people and hopefuls who were expecting a giant rally.
6637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 14, 2014, 12:52:13 AM
Hypothetically if somebody offered you guys 5000 USD per BTC that you own (and you had to sign an agreement saying you wouldn't buy any more, that's it, your participation in BTC is over) would you take it right now?

It would be interesting, since the price they offered is quite decent 5000 per BTC I own would be a good amount of money
Not a 100 grand but still a decent return on investment

But does that extend to alternate crytocurrencies or sidechains, cause I could totally be fine on Maidsafe or Mastercoins ^^.
6638  Economy / Services / Re: Silver Wallets Signature Campaign on: December 13, 2014, 11:57:46 PM
