RankRequired activityRequired merit
Member6010

Does this mean I must to have 10 merits to be able to rank up to member rank?
I'm not sure I can get merit, because for me to get 1 merit it is very difficult.

People who read just the first post and then reply shouldn't gain any merits...
6622  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: March 08, 2018, 10:16:56 PM
God's Word is crystal clear-earth is flat and motionless plane, covered by a solid strong molten glass dome firmament.

That's the best evidence yet that the earth is not flat!   Wink
6623  Economy / Reputation / Re: Would you trust someone who had been arrested multiple times for.. on: March 08, 2018, 09:06:11 PM
* Take Vehicle Without Owner Consent
Isn't that considered as a robbery ? Every judicial system that I'm aware of has serious charges (and jail time) for robbery.

If you took the vehicle while the owner was there and they felt compelled to give it to you, that is robbery.

If you took the vehicle without the owner being present, it is only Grand Theft Auto.

Sad

I helped you out.  Check your trust!

I notice a number of your posts are copied from https://hackernoon.com
6625  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: March 06, 2018, 11:28:08 PM
This is great Idea, having "Like" button in every post we create. Also, the idea in number of Likes will be one of the basis having a merit point. Hopefully this may happen in our forum.

No.  I want people to be as free to like as many posts at they want.  It should have no influence on anything.

You start tying it to merit and you introduce restrictions.
6626  Economy / Services / Re: Selling 3Commas Account with $10,000 Balance for $5000 on: March 06, 2018, 05:06:02 PM
The issue I can see here is that you may, after receiving your irreversible payment, contact the website, tell them you were hacked and regain control.  :/
6627  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking For An Internship In The Crypto Field on: March 06, 2018, 02:18:07 AM
Hi, my name is Jeffrey and I'm very interested in an internship for a crypto related company. I am a college student and have a passion for crypto and would love to get into the field. I can help any company, ICO, etc.. with marketing or general advising. Here are my credentials:
- I run two different popular twitter accounts (One with 70,000 Followers and a different one with 80,000 followers- all with real followers and grown organically)
- I previously ran a website, which entailed managing over 200 sports writers and reached over 1 million views with no paid advertising.
I believe I can bring several different contributions to any team including-
- Twitter help: I feel strongly that I can assist your brand gain 5,000-10,000 followers a month and widespread recognition.
- I go to a New York based university, which has many people interested in cryptocurrency and recently had a Ripple member speak at the school. I can potentially organize a group and grow a base there.
- General marketing help- I can help with Reddit, Facebook, or any potential marketing needed for your company.
- Writing Articles: I have vast experience in writing articles, including writing for BleacherReport and my own website (where I've accumulated thousands of views on many of my articles)
- Professional experience: I've had multiple internships including working for a multi billion dollar real estate company located in Manhattan

If anyone is interested or wants to ask more questions, feel free to private message me or respond to this thread. Thanks.

I have no doubt you are going to get lots of offers from people paying in their worthless alt coin.   Wink
6628  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for advice on a fun/charity project on: March 05, 2018, 03:19:26 AM
We've set up a website and several social channels to run a contest, wherein people will "vote" on which cryptocurrency to wrap the car in. Participants will send any amount of ETH to an address corresponding to the crypto of their choice. After a set period of time, the wallet holding the most ETH will be declared the winner. A design will be created, submitted to the community for approval, and then the car will be wrapped in the design. Professional photos/video will be taken and provided to the community/internet to promote that coin.

You could just take the ETH and run.  You have no vested interest in this community.  :/

To gain trust, you must agree to:

1) Have a trusted escrow here control the funds.

2) Escrow sends directly to the advertising company for design and application.

3) Escrow sends money to charity

4) Escrow sends you your profit.

All you willing to do this?
6629  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Am I the only one that thinks off-site pvt key storage is stupid? on: March 05, 2018, 03:11:32 AM
The method described above would not allow the authorities to gain access to your assets

You obviously have a trusting mind...   Wink

John Doe runs a ponzi and scams millions.  Government gets involved.  They have the "Central Death Authority" in that country issue his death certificate.  Coins get transferred out to Escrow, who release them to government.

The idea is centralized, which goes against Bitcoin.  The point of failure is the online death database, which can be easily manipulated legally or illegally.
6630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Muscular Dystrophy Association. on: March 04, 2018, 09:30:26 AM
Bump for the children Wink

Bumps are limited to once every 24 hours.

I don't think many people will trust coins sent to you will actually make their way to the charity...
6631  Economy / Reputation / Re: shdvb hacked? on: March 04, 2018, 08:39:29 AM
I tagged the account.  Need at least one more member to make it negative trust.
6632  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Am I the only one that thinks off-site pvt key storage is stupid? on: March 04, 2018, 08:18:11 AM
For example, a multi-key wallet with a dead mans switch that is scanning the Central Death Authorities of all the countries in the world.

That allows authorities to get your coin.   Undecided
6633  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need devs or coin/team that is trying to rebrand (already have working platform) on: March 04, 2018, 08:14:43 AM
So sorry, I accidentally posted this on Project Development under Bitcoin threads. My mistake. I can't delete the thread myself apparently. Please delete this. Sorry and thank you. 100% unintentional.

You can Move this thread (control at lower left) to the proper section, or to the Archive if you want it deleted.
6634  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Payment Processing Provider? on: March 03, 2018, 08:58:57 PM
Hi,
I’m currently trying to setup a website where users can buy and sell Bitcoins.
I am looking for a PSP who can handle payments from credit cards and especially international Bank transfers.
The provider need to be able to handle reviving payments and sending payments to customers.
The capital we are looking at is about a million dollars for the startup.
I would appreciate any leads or links for such a service.
Thanks

Try typing "Credit Card Processors" into Google...
6635  Other / Off-topic / Re: New way to show yours and others merited post, in the Signature line on: March 03, 2018, 08:48:54 PM

6636  Economy / Reputation / Re: Even the Merit Point are motivating to hack BTT accounts! Dumbest case. on: March 03, 2018, 08:20:08 PM
Unfortunately, there is no way to prove to us it wasn't you that did that.   Undecided

6637  Other / Meta / Re: Donation button (LN) on: March 03, 2018, 08:02:54 PM
Donation buttons work best when a group of people don't have a way to easily send money to each other.

Bitcoin already has that built in.  Smiley

6638  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 03, 2018, 06:28:55 AM
I believe a lot of the shitposting and account creating is continuing because newbies believe merit will go away.  They see threads about ditching merit and they get excited and tell their friends everything will be back to normal soon.

We must send a clear, unwavering signal that the merit system is working as intended and is here to stay!   Smiley
6639  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merit on: March 03, 2018, 05:37:05 AM
Good day folks how can I earn Merit if I don't have a lot of friend in this Site

Don't worry about Merit.  Post like you would in a forum that did not have Merit.
6640  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative trust... on: March 02, 2018, 07:17:46 AM
