6641  Economy / Digital goods / Re: PrimeDice Strategy - 15 BTC Winnings in 24 Hrs - Limited Release on: December 04, 2014, 08:50:31 AM
I agree with both of you that each roll of the dice is independent in and of itself from a mathematical standpoint. That the odds of rolling a 6th roll <10 out of 100 after 5 consecutive <10 Rolls (given youre playing a bet where you are wagering the dice will roll >10 out of a possible 100) is 10% in terms of chance, where the previous 5 rolls have no effect on the 6th roll at all.

But mathematically one can assume that certain patterns are unlikely to happen, such as the Monte Carlo Roulette Incident of 1913, where there were 26 rolls of consecutive black, and people lost millions betting red was bound to roll next.

But then again I dont believe an incident like that has happened since. While each roll of the wheel has roughly (factoring out greens or 0s) a 50/50 chance of rolling a red or black, 26 black has the same odds as any other pattern of 26 if pre-determined and bet on, 26 black in a row is astronomically unlikely.

But yes I agree, each roll is independent with no relation to the last roll of the dice. I would wager however you are statistically speaking more likely to see gains FIRST by betting on a 90% win wager using simple a basic Martingale strategy, than an immediate wipe out bust of say 10 consecutive 10% chance losses in a row.

CD

So at the end have you become rich ? anyone form the community have bought at least one copy of your amazing guide ? You're really amazing scammer.

Ps: I think you are scared from @dooglus or am I wrong ?

Read the post,  Hes not even selling it and hes pretty chill even though theres a bunch of dickheads like you

If he didn't sell anymore this guide , why this thread is till  open ? I think he should close it (at least for save his dignity).

I won't post my response because it contains deleted posts which should remain private if at all possible. Probably my response will end up as part of public record, but I'm not going to speed up the process or make it easier for people to find. I already PMed the users affected by this.

Maybe this is the first time Theymos experienced a formal subpoena, but I have trouble believing that this is the first time he experienced a law enforcement inquiry.

This is the first government request/inquiry I've received related to Ulbricht's case. I have received a few other inquiries for other cases.

Thanks for this post , any news about this case ?

where I missed word "recent". -> Gini coeficient in BTC world will be much more crazy than in recent real world.

If BTC becomes a world currency (and I am betting on the high odds that it will), the BTC monetary system (with even bigger holes in collecting taxes) will encourage even higher concentration of capital + there will be always the group of... aehm... us, who will not need to workand our descendants as well.

I do not see any reason why the BTC should be more democratic, equal etc. The idea that everyone will mine for himself is gone. What is left is idea of unregulated capitalism with unregulated currency. God with everyone.

At the end all we know : bitcoin was not created to overcome poverty , it was created to reappropriate the private property of the money.
6647  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk mobile app!should we have it ? on: December 04, 2014, 06:59:20 AM
ONLY IF theymos or a mod makes the app. Bitcointalk accounts can be sold, so if someone who is not trusted makes an app and gets login details of people who use the app, that would be bad.

They will never create an app... It's a big potential security risk!

Yeah , maybe it is better to use the web versione withi a normal browser .
6648  Economy / Services / Re: [SimpleDice] Looking For Beta-Testers! Get Paid! on: December 04, 2014, 06:01:15 AM
We are only looking for professionals, or people who know what they are doing.

What are you looking for? ISTQB Tester?

Its a joke. A professional tester costs normally min 25 USD per hour for finding bugs and writing reports.

then he pays only 0,01 btc for find a major bug , are you really serious? This is not the pay rate  for a professional work .

Where else can you send such a large amount for just 4 silly cents  Cheesy

Probably work of an exchange, but still, very cool to see.

I think the largest transaction I have seen was 350K BTC, can't remember if they used fee or not.

No, look  this transaction ( zero fee):

6654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] bitcoin or bitcoins ? on: December 03, 2014, 05:01:41 PM
You can do this argument because in the word is present "coin" , but for example when I use the every time I say euro and not euros also if I spend 15 €.

Correct, but it is called bitcoin, not biteuro.

Each money has it's own rules for pluralization.

I would say 5 dollars, but I would say both 1 quid and 5 quid.  Meanwhile I would say 5 pounds sterling.

I know it is called bitcoin. So At the end is it not wrong to use bitcoin instead of bitcoins ? I prefer to say : 5 bitcoin , but I can say also 5 bitcoins.

6656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] bitcoin or bitcoins ? on: December 03, 2014, 04:39:26 PM
Dropping the 3 character prefix "bit" for a moment, I think most people would agree that in english the word "coin" is made plural by adding an s to the end:

You would say "I have 5 coins", not "I have 5 coin".

It gets a bit more muddled when you aren't specifying a number of distinct units:

When asking if someone has any money with them, I've heard people ask "Do you have any coin?"
If asking specifically if they have any coin type money with them, then you are more likely to here "Do you have any coins?"

It would seem that adding the "bit" prefix wouldn't change the pluralization of the base word "coin". So I can certainly see why some people prefer to use "bitcoins" as the plural form of "bitcoin".  I've noticed that is how most people handle it, and I see the reasoning with the word "coin", so I try to type "bitcoins" when I'm talking about it in plural.  However, when I say it out loud, I still tend to say "bitcoin".  For some reason it just "sounds right" to me, and "bitcoins" sounds clumsy and awkward.

You can do this argument because in the word is present "coin" , but for example when I use the every time I say euro and not euros also if I spend 15 €.

That is possible and could be an issue. Personally I'm not sure if it's a good idea offering premium rates for certain sections but maybe have lower rates for off-topic and games and rounds etc or maybe not even count posts in them at all. I only know about as much as you guys really so I'm interested to see how it will work and the pay schemes etc.

Why PD need to pay lower rate for off-topic and games & round section ?
Better pay nothing.

I'm just curious how will be payment scheme be made ...
But I feel something different than others Cool

Because you have the "impression" also in the off topic section and others section.

I can't answer, as I use both terms, and both terms are correct.

Added the third option "I use both terms" , thanks for reminding me.
6660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin or bitcoins ? on: December 03, 2014, 02:27:06 PM
Personally I would say, "I have 2 bitcoin"...
Here is my reasoning:
Bitcoin is the type of currency and you are just stating an amount with it... you wouldn't say that you have $500 USDs so I don't see why you would say you have 2 bitcoins... I think this is a matter of opinion. OP you should make a poll.
