6641  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: April 12, 2016, 03:34:06 AM
I've been running a poll for some time now about the value of 1 bitcoin by 2020 and it's safe to say a lot of different opinions and guesses are made.
This poll completes the other one and i'm really looking forward to everyone's input in this.

Tnx for your input  Cool

well up to 5% and not more, people thinks that everyone will know about bitcoin but sad truth that lots of people either don't know what bitcoin is, or are afraid to start using it because of how bitcoin isn't stable, this will take time, more stable bitcoin will be - more people will use bitcoin so maybe after 10more years, 10% will use it
I expect 5 to 10% people will use bitcoin in 2020 and 15 to 20% will use it in another 10 years, this is because proper awareness about bitcoin is not given to most of the countries.
6642  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: April 12, 2016, 02:48:40 AM
Royal Bank of Scotland economists have urged investors to sell everything except high-quality bonds, warning of a “fairly cataclysmic year ahead.”

Writing in a client note dated Jan. 8, the bank’s European rates research team said that clients should be concentrating on return of capital, not return on capital, and that an ominous outlook to the world economy “all looks similar to 2008.”

The Key Points

  • The note is particularly bearish on China and global commodities, and predicts that oil could fall as low as $16 a barrel.
  • In a grim set of predictions, Andrew Roberts, head of European economics, rates & CEEMEA research said that the world has far too much debt to be able to grow well.
  • He also warned that advances in technology and automation are set to wipe out up to half of all jobs in the developed world.
  • The note says equities could fall 10% to 20%.
  • It predicts the year will be spent focusing on how to exit positions that have benefited from long-running QE, including emerging markets, credit and equities.

A 10 to 20% fall in equities certainly isn't a long shot. QE has produced a long run-up in stock prices, and on average, we see a market correction of 10% every two years and a 20% correction every five years. Still, the advice to "sell everything" seems a bit much.

no i still don't think that we should sell everything, i am more than sure that price won't fall down and bitcoin won't die, price of bitcoin rises each day now because of halving, soon we will go to 430$ and of course we will go to even more than that after halving, so just because of that i don't think that we should sell our bitcoins
Exactly few days before the price was stable, but now we can see a gradual increase day by day, this is all because of halving and after halving we can expect value to be more than $800. So I too thought not to sell any coins.
6643  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to manage money? on: April 12, 2016, 02:44:00 AM
Just know how much money you are going to receive from your job and other things. Pay all your bills. The rest of the money a part of it you put in your savings. The rest is for you to spend.
Yeah right first make a budget and put portion of money from your salary in your savings, then accordingly spend rest of the money for other expenses.
6644  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: April 12, 2016, 02:36:03 AM
Of course the price of the bitcoin matter because otherwise people are not gonna buy any bitcoins at all they will think the bitcoin is worth nothing.
I think its even one of the things that is the most important for the bitcoin itself.

Yes! People just interested on rare things and bitcoin now - one of them. Price of bitcoin is just cause of rarity. If everybody have a same thing it's not interesting no more.
Bitcoin is rare but I disagree that it won't be liked by people when it becomes known to everyone. I think people will be interested more and more when adoption increase.
6645  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: April 12, 2016, 02:07:59 AM
To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

in my country there are no shops that accept bitcoin either thus bitcoin can not perish right here and thats a really sad thing for me to be honest, i hope that everything will change in the future

i think that spending bitcoin will be available in my country after around a decade when all people will be able to use it and countries will accept it as a regular currency
In my country bitcoin is not accepted in any places including local stores, malls and restaurants. I spend coins only on online. As you said it can be accepted in future only if it becomes an ordinary currency.
6646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: April 11, 2016, 11:52:42 AM
It is of course trusted to put your real money in it, you can make with that a huge profit and that is nice you can even be rich because of Bitcoin and that is the best thing that can happen.
But sometimes if you want to make some huge profit with Bitcoin there is a chance that you must wait a long time.
Yeah definitely we have to wait a long to earn huge profit because it is not an easy job to earn huge with bitcoin, there are many ways but we have to make correct moves else we may lose coins.
6647  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: April 11, 2016, 08:49:28 AM
there are so many reason for me to like bitcoin.bitcoin does have really low fees ,it is secure and easy to use and the ease to transfer and more over it can be used to gamble  Grin that is the best thing i guess  Wink

easy less ffee, can use anything, and also the important thing for me , i can earn it free, and i can mine it at my home Roll Eyes
Yeah the best thing here is that you can earn money by staying in your home. Also had more advantages like low transaction fees, easy to transfer, anonymous and more secure.
6648  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: April 11, 2016, 07:36:41 AM
My worst mistake was undoubtedly to join this great alt economy too late, when price has achieved the $400 and it is too expensive to buy bitcoins with my own money, despite I had the opportunity to join this ecosystem early, several years ago but I missed that opportunity.
Yeah me too felt a lot that I had missed the great opportunity of working with bitcoin several years before. Even more people are there who were not aware of bitcoin even now, comparing with them I feel I am lucky.
6649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: April 11, 2016, 07:26:00 AM
During and after the halving, we will see a definite rise in price of bitcoin. Maybe not double, but maybe a rise by 50-75%. That's my prediction.

Some people say the price will skyrocket, I highly doubt that though.
Don't have any doubts mate, that's the truth, may be it skyrocket else it will be in the intermediate levels, ranging from $700 to $800 and even more but not less than that.
6650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to teach someone about Bitcoin on: April 11, 2016, 07:17:30 AM
There are many ways to teach someone about bitcoin but one way is to verbally teach them or you could give them certain websites which had enough information on bitcoin.
though if people dont know much about bitcoins i really doubt that they will want to try out the websites or read about bitcoins themselves if they dont know they can earn with it money

to be honest if i had a chance to teach someone about bitcoins i would definitely tell them stories how bitcoin gre in price massively and how it is possible to make huge money with it
Yeah that's quite a better idea. Some people are there, If you teach them for the full day about blockchain.info, bitcoin and its multipurpose uses they won't listens you. Just tell them bitcoin is the one from which you can earn huge and the very next moment they start to search and learn about bitcoin.
6651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: April 11, 2016, 07:09:47 AM
There should't be idle coins, investing, trading is a much better option. Anythingw that willw make them "move" and make use of it.
thats true, if you want to make some good money then you have to work with it hard trying new trading strategies or just buying stuff from time to time, thats surely better

i dont have any idle coins just now, i used to hold it as i expected high returns though i decided to do some trading with it, unfortunately i have lost it in the process
If you are not experienced means don't invest everything in trading, you can loss like now. Invest some amount because it is riskier, try some other ways to increase your profit. Once you get experienced go for trading.
6652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable, stable, stable! on: April 11, 2016, 06:01:40 AM
I really like this current stability, and I would like that it remains for years, this way all speculators will renounce to this currency and only people really interested in the development of new economic alternatives will remain here.
I really don't like this stability, only the price fluctuations makes the users excited. This stability makes everyone little bored and this will no longer continues. We can see a price rise soon.
6653  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500 Within 2 Months? on: April 11, 2016, 05:53:25 AM
500 dollar should be possible if the chinese consumer markets steps into bitcoin. Although there is no guarantee this will eventually happen it could give bitcoin a very very big boost.
bitcoin isn't under control by china market it means no one can set up the price of bitcoin in the all exchanger. the price of bitcoin not rise it because low demand.

Yeah but I believe china market has small impact on the bitcoin price as China hold a large number of users at present.
May be friend, that can be true because
The China government had accepted bitcoin legally,
Presently more mining farms are there,
Awareness about bitcoin is more in china..
6654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: April 11, 2016, 05:44:17 AM
The chance is really small that the value will fall, we can see that the value is now stable and that is not that bad because there are a lot of people that want to sell their coins.
And I think the time will come soon in the future to sell your Bitcoin with a good profit, just have patience.

The price will not fall below £350 let alone $300. If the price drops below $400, it will be just a few hours.
nobody knows what happened in the future, you or anyone can't predict bitcoin price will fall down or bitcoin price will rise.

In long term, I can predict safely that the bitcoin price will rise to very high level. In the medium term, it will be $800.
a little bit i'm confused with long-term and medium-term too many people always say bitcoin is good for long-term investment. the question is how long we need to wait for sell these investment.

You don't want to wait too long, till now you maintained patience, now you are near to get the reward, so wait till halving, after that it is predicted that the price rise to be definitely above $800, wait for halving, the reward will be yours.
6655  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who will be selling at 450 range (today) on: April 11, 2016, 05:35:08 AM
It is not right time to sell as it is stable and holding at $420 right now. So if you wait a little longer maybe for the next 2 weeks you more than likely will see it at $450, the price that you saw back in december when this thread was started. It can only go up from here is what I think will happen.
Yeah I agree with you, this is not the time to sell your coins, be patient till halving you can gain more because few days before it is expected that there is price drop, but now the situation has changed, so wait and gain the profit.
6656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: April 11, 2016, 05:24:10 AM
The best way to compare the price is in the form of a volcano, It is now calm but nobody knows when it erupts.
Good comparison, as you told the price is stable means it doesn't mean that price rise is over, we can expect the bitcoin eruption to be very high.
6657  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC going up for 500$ again ? ::) on: April 11, 2016, 04:28:07 AM
To me it is something that will not happen on the short term. Rather then going to 500 i believe the price will stabilize now.
Something which was anticipated on by many and let's be honest wanted by most of us too.
No friend, this is few days before, now the situation has changed the price is going to rise by the forthcoming days and expected to be high after halving.
6658  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 will be a boring year for bitcoin on: April 11, 2016, 04:14:54 AM
So far, it is quite exciting. The Mike Hearn left the bitcoin and caused the bitcoin price drop of 20%.

that was before, now the price recovered, from where it was left, so mike did only refilled his pockets with more coins than before

Fine to hear the good news, so during halving we can expect a huge price rise, 2016 is an interesting year for bitcoin, the only factor made it bored was the price stability for few days.
6659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the minimum amount to start as a trader? on: April 11, 2016, 04:07:57 AM
What is the minimum amount to start as a trader?
no minimum and maximum to start trading, its depending how much bitcoin want traded by you,and bigger amount to start trading will make bigger chance to get big profit.

but still will rely on some form of capital to start with.. enough to afford bad trades.

Unless you hope your 1st trade to go well and profit, odds are that are not likely though..
agree there is no minimum or maximum amount of capital. it depends on your will If you're already an expert in the field of trade you can try with a substantial capital.
but if you do not have the capital. You can borrow money to trade
Yeah right, the capital amount varies according to experienced user and new user, if you are an experienced user you can trade for more, if you are new start from low value as more risks are there in trading.
6660  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: April 11, 2016, 03:50:57 AM
Thats a fact people when dont wanna or dont know what to say they say well its deal already ,they remember the 1000 dollars value and use that value to talk to you and make you believe they are right.Bitcoin is strong and healthy at the moment soo is far away from being dead.
Yeah bitcoin will be healthy always, this statement will come from the people who had met some losses with bitcoin. That's their mistake that they had invested in riskier things, they won't realise their own mistake instead they blame bitcoin.
