6661  Economy / Economics / Re: China will become Super Power ? on: November 25, 2014, 11:36:52 PM
China does not raise its currency price because the gains to trade from exporting its goods and products to the world
Still outweight that of importing, in addition they are cutting back spending after the leader changed
To try and reduce a pricing bubble so expect more regulated controls on the exchange rate in the years to come
(Plus their is a price war brewing with Japan Korea and China right now)
6662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 24, 2014, 07:57:48 AM
this is getting stupid, lets discuss the price of bitcoin, not just delete posts to 10k

I guess it was a coordinated effort to make sure we remembered the event where we hit 10 K pages
A lot of people like to play jokes lol...

That said its kind of quiet on the bitcoin front auction bidding closes next week for SR
So in my opinion the price won't move much until then or perhaps Friday (Bitcoin black friday) Has not had its tangible effect measured much yet.

yeah, well you never know, bitcoin has a tendency of breaking expectations, although the SR auction is a good opportunity to suppress the price.

True enough
Last time the Silk Road auction made the price go up because it was bought in one large block
This time around its a good question

And for me its Bitcoin black friday that will make the price drop as fiat conversions occur or a small dip.
After that it might make a nice recovery.

6664  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox: Still Relevant on: November 24, 2014, 07:45:17 AM
Thanks for the tabs
I haven't been keeping up with Mtgox for quite some time myself but there are a lot of coins there to my knowledge it was quiet
The main focus is on the Silk Road at present but without a doubt gox is still relevant.
6665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi ..Private key lost? on: November 24, 2014, 07:41:33 AM
Satoshi likely has his private keys
If he is dead he likely implemented a deadman switch
Since Satoshi is just so unknown it really is hard to tell but I doubt he lost his own keys considering how skilled he is.
6666  Economy / Speculation / Re: speculation section is dead on: November 24, 2014, 07:33:36 AM
With this long drawn out bear market there isn't much to talk/speculate about. We've had this 'pop and slowly drift down' scenario for the last several months and it seems people are burnt out. I suspect when there is a noticeable shift in price action, people will be re-energized.

Yep, at present we are in a speculative quiet period
Just waiting for a spark to move it forward again, same with anything there are periods where its tranquil
Then periods where things just take off all at once, so its a good week to relax and prepare for the holidays
The Silk Road Auction 2.0
And Bitcoin Black Friday
6667  Economy / Economics / Re: List of Bitcoin Hostile (and friendly) Banks on: November 24, 2014, 07:30:06 AM
So, is there any country friendly with bitcoin?

In terms of friendliness I guess we can say Canada but the main issue Leina is Banks
So while the country might be friendly the issue is with the payment processors.
(But you can also check bitlegal for more detailed info)

6669  Economy / Economics / Re: selling my mined btc for euro instead of usd on: November 23, 2014, 08:23:48 AM
Wouldn't it be better for me to sell my mined btc for EURO instead of USD?? I typically sell the mined product on coinbase.

would appreciate any and all thoughts.

thanks!

It depends on which one you think will apreciate more in price
Considering the Eurozone and the USD are both in a mess of sorts
I would say go with the dollar for now but if the arbitrage gets significant switch.
6670  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect from bitcoin in December 2014? on: November 23, 2014, 08:18:34 AM
Hi guys.

Today bitcoin value is $356.12 (22/Nov/2014)

I have 3 bitcoins and need $1340 for last days of December, what to do?

My options.

A) Keep the bitcoins, the price will go up!
B) Invest in other coins, Doge and LiteCoin will go up!
C) Sell that 3 btc and take that $1050 and try to earn 1 btc to get that $300.

Im of the idea "If price goes down, get more coins", but if you have a "Option D)" share it please  Wink

Of the idea that it might be a good time to accumulate now
That or you take your chances on the Silk Road 2 Auction
Depending on the results and sentiment in early December make your choice
Up or down ^^

(Oh or get some coins for Friday) (Bitcoin Black Friday)
6671  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you like kids? on: November 23, 2014, 08:14:13 AM
Kids are cool but im still young so i won't worry about them for now... but i would like to have only one xD but well who knows what will i want in future

And btw the thread tittle is creepy

i thought thered be alot more erm... abuse? on here about the title. and no matter what people say in here everything sounds wrong  Shocked kinda sad that that its instantly creepy what ever anyone say when a title is about kids. but thats thanks to all our wonderful western media for you soon its going to be a taboo to even talk about kids -.-

That's why I like this thread personally
Just shows how we all got corrupted by the media to an extent and well need a fresh look at well reality now and then.
It's normal to like kids and video game battles ^^
6672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015? on: November 23, 2014, 08:09:57 AM
Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015?

Complicated question, but no tentatively
The reason it is tentative is because there is a high correlation between market difficulty in mining price
And well future demand and press, its still a growing technology and a lot of things happened this year
It's possible a lot more things that will drive the price up will occur next year for certain so all in all we will see.
6673  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This frozen chicken “had a rich, emotional life.” on: November 23, 2014, 08:00:53 AM
Let it be eaten
As a species we eat a lot of things so well calling it inhumane is not quite true.
If there was one species that specifically ate humans and only humans then we would call it inhumane but if we eat 100's or thousands of species for our food its considered normal, then who is really the inhumane species.
Nom now now go off to get the Colonels Fried Chicken  Wink
6674  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-11-21] CW: Dutch national police already had a copy of Silk Road 2 in May on: November 23, 2014, 07:21:52 AM
Apparently, the suspect rented the servers under his own name:
http://webwereld.nl/beveiliging/84411-silk-road-2-baas-draaide-server-op-eigen-naam (Dutch)

What an idiot  Roll Eyes. It baffles me how these people can be so smart and yet so stupid. It also looks like setting anything up in Holland is now a no go too.

Well I guess if they went for the servers
Pretty much busted already although I'm not sure if they could have used a fake ID there
6675  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-11-18] WORLD BANK REPORT: BITCOIN IS "not" A PONZI SCHEME on: November 23, 2014, 07:10:45 AM
Well after reading the report which was about ponzis and market bubbles
While they say it is not a ponzi they still said it was a prime example of a price bubble and pop.
It's still a step up at least
6676  Other / Off-topic / Re: Beer vs. Water on: November 23, 2014, 06:51:41 AM

6677  Economy / Economics / Re: WE NEED A DAY!!!!!!!---YOU HAVE TO READ on: November 23, 2014, 05:48:03 AM

6678  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where can I watch a live stream of Manny Pacquiao vs Chris Algieri on: November 23, 2014, 05:36:31 AM
I'm using a tv but I presume there is a live sports stream somewhere
Perhaps on XBMC whistle
If not then not sure where you would find it but if you search around long enough your bound to find a working stream somewhere
