6681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token smart contracts on: May 17, 2019, 04:23:06 AM
No, not possible in the contract itself, it has no relation to any monetary amount of the coin. There are ways to ensure that the token wont be traded below a certain price, some of them like backing the price with other funds were already mentioned.

I dont know the purpose of the token but if its used internally in an application you could launch your own marketplace like ANN did. Any fiat transaction within ANN buys ANN tokens on an internal marketplace for a fixed price. People can offer their ANN in this marketplace but never sell them directly.

Danke Lafu! Bestätigt aber meinen Verdacht, dass die Wallets erstmal eingefroren sind und man nun Gläubiger ist wenn ich das richtig rauslese?
6683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arguments against XRP, the biggest shitcoin. on: May 16, 2019, 09:38:35 AM
As an XRP-investor you have to keep in mind that Ripples main market is the banking sector, if they fail to convince financial institutes to use XRP, Ripple as a company fails, too. There is a strong competition in this market, on the one hand XLM with the backing of IBM (which still offers the hardware 90% of all banks use) and on the other hand the JPM-coin released last year. The latter gets already adopted by big banks as an easy way to tranfser money in no time due to the fact its not available to the masses and therefore the price is stable. A bank will never use any currency which may lose its value in the blink of an eye
6684  Economy / Exchanges / Re: GDAX put my deposit on hold... on: May 16, 2019, 09:32:55 AM
People in Europe haven't really been treated well by Coinbase in the last couple of years, which is why a lot of Europeans choose to use Bitstamp and Kraken instead, so OP is better off using one of these exchanges.
I second this. As an European I would nowadays never use an exchange based outside the EU again. You dont know what comes around the corner with all those regulations, SEC investigations and so on especially in the US. The EU offers some of the best exchanges in my opinion, including Bitstamp, Kraken and Bitpanda. Also bitcoin.de allows trading for EU citizens outside Germany.
6685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Consensus Make Cryptocurrency Up, Especially Ebay Will Accept Cryptocurrency on: May 16, 2019, 05:28:51 AM
What is kind of suspicious to me is that there were lots of good news and rumours last year, too, but no news had any positive impact on the price. Nowadays, a simple rumour is enough to push BTC that hard?
News like JPM releases their own coin, big players entering the market and ETFs were planned are way more positive and should have had an higher impact than "ebay might accept CC" ...
6686  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Vorsicht bei Cryptopia Login ! on: May 15, 2019, 06:23:16 PM

6687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia is gone? on: May 15, 2019, 06:20:22 PM
It wouldn't be fair if they just close without giving their users the time to withdraw their funds. From everything I've seen, thats how it works.
They'd tried to revive the exchange, to see them coming back after the hack is something positive.
Well, due to the fact their case is now managed by a liquidator it may now take a very long time to get access to those wallets, if they are ever unfrozen again. I am not sure who is the legit owner of wallets on an exchange, if its cryptopia they may use those wallets to cover their depts.
6688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptopia dead, shitcoins gone forever? on: May 15, 2019, 12:29:07 PM
The interesting part is that they make use of a liquidator. I think this is a very bad sign for people who have their coins in cryptopia wallets. You wont be able to access this wallets anymore, cause they belong to cryptopia and may be used to cover funds from banks etc.
6689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can they really do this is Smart contract? on: May 15, 2019, 03:51:54 AM
Of course its possible, you can literally do what you want if you are the owner of the contract. Its common among ICOs nowadays to prevent immediate crashes of the token price once the token gets listed and bounty hunters sell their coins for a few bucks.
6690  Other / Meta / Re: My BItcointalk Account Was Hacked By Award Coin Project Beware on: May 15, 2019, 03:48:29 AM
Could you please explain how someone else was able to take over your account? Phishing for example?
It will definitly help others avoiding the mistake you made!
6691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP rises quickly! on: May 14, 2019, 06:04:14 PM
Well, investing 5 minutes to turn up google and search takes too much time for the average poster, they rather spend those 5 minutes for another meaningless and useless post.

Its a very good sign that some alts are on a frenzy again, XRPs massive gain may be due to the simple fact that it is the cheapest top 3 coin which attracts new investors. It simply feels better to spend 100 dollars on 300 XRP than on 0.015 BTC
6692  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in never paid out on my bet on: May 14, 2019, 04:42:07 AM
Is it really freebitco. in??

I never heard or seen this website offering sports betting. It's a simple hi-lo betting game and lottery. Please confirm the website correctly and if possible, post a screenshot.
They offered it recently, but not only sports. You can eg. bet who sits on the iron throne at the end of Game of Thrones season 8. Didnt bet on any event by myself, but definitly looks fun to bet on such events Smiley
6693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-Founder & CTO Leaves TRON To Start His Own Project! on: May 14, 2019, 04:21:57 AM
The pattern keeps the same: create a currency, mine billions of tokens in your own pocket, hype it so others buy into, sell your tokens and watch the project slowly dying. Repeat with another coin. Want it TRON were a large part of their WP was just copied from other coins?
6694  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: May 14, 2019, 04:18:55 AM

6696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin growth too slow? on: May 14, 2019, 03:50:25 AM
I believe that the altcoin frenzy in 2017 was due to massivly manipulated markets. Look eg at IOTA or XRP, they at least tenfolded their value in no matter of time, XRP eg in about two weeks late 2017.
That is nothing what happens because a handful of newbie investors put 1k or 10k into the market, you need billions to move a coin like this.
6697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: time new bank, a really good concept project, but lower price, do you know why? on: May 14, 2019, 03:30:31 AM
I am sorry to say that but there is nothing special about this coin, I cant even find a proper roadmap what they are going to do. The market is in a self healing phase, only projects with a real world usecase, strong team and a vision will survive. All other coins may vanish over the next few years.
6698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altar Coins = 20% Capital on: May 13, 2019, 04:32:12 AM
Your patience will be tested, most altcoins are still not bullish, but bitcoin being bullish is a good sign that sooner or later they will also pump.
Being down 20% is not the worst, with my altcoins, at one point,  I was down to 10% only.
It depends on what altcoins we are talking about. People tend to invest in minor projects hoping for "the next bitcoin", which wobt happen again. 99% of all alts are useless with either no real purpose or no working product. Those coins will definitly vanish in the next bull run because money flows into BTC directly.
6699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get script for an exchange? on: May 13, 2019, 03:38:58 AM
mjglqw and DdmrDdmr already mentioned why its a very bad idea to open an exchange with your current state of knowledge and skills. I just wanted to add another thing:
Imagine you downloaded the code for your exchange somewhere or had someone write it for you for a few bucks. You launch your exchange and its a bummer, hundreds of people store their coins on your exchange and use it to trade. Imagine further, that the code you use may have a backdoor, the writer of this code may use the backdoor anytime, wiping your wallets and leaving you with hundreds of mad customers, you are bankcrupt in no matter of time.

Dealing with other peoples money is nothing you can do for a laugh, you always have to be 100% sure what you are doing and you need excellent staff to do so.
6700  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: May 13, 2019, 03:26:48 AM
