I just send you my email via PM.
6682  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Gaming Accounts: Origin + UPlay + Battle.net on: July 01, 2016, 05:46:15 PM
Can you provide a price for that origin account? FYI, this belongs in digital goods, not in goods. Move it so it doesn't cause a hassle for the mods.

Sorry my mistake. I think one of the mods already moved the trade Thread for me. Thank you mod.

I would prefer to sell all three accounts together but it seems most People are interested in the Origin account alone.

Seperate pricing:

  • Origin: 15$
  • Uplay + Battle.net: 5$

I am interested in buying your origin account if you give me a better price . Can you please Post a screenshot with your Bitcointalk.org Username so we know you really own the account Smiley thanks .

I added a screenshot of the accounts showing the games. Username "Mauser" was already taken on EA, so I choose "MauserBTCtalk".

6684  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: XAPO Hot Wallet Service did turn into SCAM! BE AWARE ! on: June 29, 2016, 05:58:07 PM
As of now I can still Access my Xapo wallet and Transfer funds or pay with them.

Somehow I still can't fully understand what the actual Problem was. It's seems to be related accessing capo via proxies. So its more a security measure to lock the account?

At the Moment i have less then 10$ there. No Need to Transfer I guess.
6685  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: XAPO Hot Wallet Service did turn into SCAM! BE AWARE ! on: June 28, 2016, 08:58:06 PM
I can't believe that XAPO is actually scamming People on purpose.

I am using it for 1 month now with no Problem.

The reason why I like XAPO and why i don't believe it's a scam is that it funded by some of the biggest names in private equity (e.g. Fortress Investment). These guys earn millions per day and would never Support a Company that is scamming for a few Bitcoins. Just not worth the negative PR. I doubt all These big names involved in XAPO would Support any such corporate policy.

Hi there,

Yes, I can assure you all that Xapo is not a scam. I am the Head of Customer Support at Xapo and due to regulatory reasons, if users have reached some limits or we did not previously ask for their information and then they reach a certain limit, then we are needing to ask for ID verification. We apologize that this was not communicated to some beforehand and also I apologize that we have a backlog in getting to some cases. However, I am willing to help anyone out and will expedite their case!

If anyone has already sent a ticket to support@xapo.com and is still waiting on a reply, I kindly ask you to PM me with your registered email address and I will make sure that you receive a response ASAP and your ticket gets resolved!

Thank you for your patience and understanding, everyone Smiley

Hi Jessie, thanks for the reply. Really appreciate you react to this thread.

Any chance you could shed some light on the limits. Especially which countries are affected and how high are these limits?

Thanks
Mauser

6686  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Bitcoin wallets are best to use? on: June 28, 2016, 08:47:49 PM
I definitely agree that Blockchain.info is the best online wallet at the moment. It's pretty easy to use as a first start in bitcoins.

What I particularly like about Blockchain is that you can set the transaction cost yourself. If you don't need a transaction to settle immediately you can reduce the transaction cost and just wait 1h for the transaction to be confirmed.
6687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to bitcoin kindly help on: June 28, 2016, 08:41:15 PM
Just take it slow with bitcoins and learn over time. No point to look at everything at once.

If you want to start small in bitcoins I would recommend you to get an online wallet like xapo or Blockchain.info. It is not as secure as an desktop wallet but pretty easy to set up.

This forum is also pretty good in getting a first understanding of bitcoins.
6688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is there a limit? on: June 28, 2016, 08:36:16 PM
There is no limit for posts, only for the time between your posts.

Don't forget that your rank is dependent on your activity level, which again is only partially dependent on the number of posts. It is also important how old your account is. It might make sense to wait two weeks before posting again.
6689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have money to buy 1 btc as my investment. Please give me tips to make a living on: June 28, 2016, 07:49:42 PM
Hey, assuming this a real question, you can't make living with 1 btc. How are people supposed to retire with 700 usd?

It would be good to know how old you are. You need to calculated an average yearly income youto cover your living expenses. 1 btc definitely won't be enough.

If you start in investing don't get fooled by high returns. Risk and return are correlated. No chance on constantly doubling your money without any risk.

Keep your normal job. Good luck
6690  Economy / Digital goods / Re: EXCHANGE CSGO SKINS TO BITCOIN - INSTANT on: June 28, 2016, 07:42:18 PM
I don't want to be the bad guy here, but don't go first when trading CS GO Skins, or any gaming Skins - too many scammers out there.

First of all, your bot only contains 3c-10c skins. Not really trustworthy if none of the Skins are really valaueable.

Second, the bot owner has only 90hrs Play time on CS GO. Why are you so into CS GO Skin trading when you don't even Play the game?

Well, the bot had just begun sales so it hasen't built up an inventory yet.

Yes, I don't have a lot of playing time because at the moment I'm not dedicated to playing CS:GO like I used to be. I don't feel as if that's an issue that should have any affect on judgement relating to the bot.

If you'd like to have some evidence relating to the trades going through the bot, I'll be working with the person above  you regarding this.

Yes, please keep me posted about a prove of the bot actually working.

I have quite a few skins I would like to sell. But after the steam summer sale though. Prices are pretty bad at the moment.
6691  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Steam accepting btc - will it affect the forum market? on: June 28, 2016, 01:55:53 PM
I don't think it will have a big impact. The problem with dealing directly with steam is that your money is logged in the steam wallet. You are unable to withdraw funds from steam and officially you are not allowed to sell your steam account. No real chance of getting your money back.

Most of the time it makes sense to buy games via external sites and just activate them in steam. These external game Stores already accept bitcoins.
6692  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: XAPO Hot Wallet Service did turn into SCAM! BE AWARE ! on: June 28, 2016, 01:49:24 PM
I would really appreciate if users of xapo who where locked could explain if the mistake was on their end or a mistake by xapo.

I am using xapo to pool all my faucets Satoshi and don't want to get blocked eventually.

2fa is not yet mandatory does it help to avoid problems?
6693  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: June 28, 2016, 10:51:26 AM
The American army is the biggest consumer of oil and that will not change for quite some time. Electro jets or tanks are just not working out at the moment.

Also, USA started exporting LPG due to fracking. As along as there is oil or gas available at reasonable production cost nothing will change for the producers. The consumer will not unite to force a change either. Maybe in some generations with more geopolitical impacts in the meantime.
6694  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: XAPO Hot Wallet Service did turn into SCAM! BE AWARE ! on: June 28, 2016, 10:40:18 AM
ive got an locking issue on my Xapo account but everythings fix when i contact support althoug its bit late atleast its ok now,and if you still experiencing the same problem better to send many tickets to their support until they answer your inquiry.

What was the problem with your account, was it your mistake or theirs? Did it take long for them to reply and unlock your?

Are you still using them? I am just curious as I am also using xapo.

Since they dont charge the fees like blockchain I guess the support staff is smaller.
6695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: June 28, 2016, 09:51:24 AM
Do not use PayPal. It is just no secure way to receive money as the buyer can always ask the admins to refund the money.

Use bitcoins directly to buy or sell, or use a standard bank transfer. In Europe a bank transfer takes only 1 day. There is really no need for paypal.

6697  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: June 28, 2016, 08:43:39 AM
I spend my first 10$ in Bitcoins this Weekend for CS GO Skins on bitskins.com.

Due to the Steam Summer Sale prices are dropping as crazy in Skins. But this is just another Investment for me, as I will be selling the Skins after the sale again. In General I am trying to build up some Bitcoins.
6698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE / LITE Coins exchange to BTC on: June 28, 2016, 08:37:35 AM
I use shapeshift.io to efficiently move small amounts of alts into BTC without any hassle. Poloniex and Bittrex are also decent if you are comfortable with some degree of centralisation

Thanks for the recommendations again. shapeshift.io Looks great from the first Impression. Will use this one.
6699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE / LITE Coins exchange to BTC on: June 28, 2016, 06:18:00 AM
Hi Guys,

I won between 4-6$ in Doge and LiteCoins on a gambling site and would like to cash out.

Can you recommend an easy way to Transfer them into BTCs? I am looking for a cheap way in terms of transactions costs to transfer them, or is it not worth it to Transfer so Little amounts?

Thanks for any help.

Mauser

Hi,

If you want a simple thing, you can do it instantly at https://blocktrades.us or at shapeshift.io, works great.  Grin Regards

Thanks for the replies and websites. Given the small amount of coins I have I wasn't sure if yobit is the right place to trade these.
6700  Economy / Economics / Re: The effect of Brexit on Bitcoin. on: June 28, 2016, 05:59:01 AM
Yeah, you're right. I looked at the price charts. The decline in bitcoin started 3 days before the Brexit vote. The price was perhaps declining alongside all the other currencies (vs the British Pound) when the vote results were thought to result with a win for the "remain" camp.

And the decline also probably has to do with bitcoin dynamics, like the halving.

Brexit was the first opportunity that we have had to observe BTC price in a moment of great financial turmoil.  There has been relatively little change in its price (and yeah, it could be dynamics related to halving, I don't know) in the past few days.

Gold has a fairly large move upwards since Brexit.  So far, gold has been the safe haven investment.  Let's keep watching...  Smiley

That's because nobody sane is looking for safety in a highly speculative and volatile asset like bitcoin. Bitcoin is subject to so much pumping that you can't even be sure the current price level will hold up after the halving. People looking to flee to safety in the UK are going to pick gold, which has hundreds of years of history as a stable store of value in times of crisis, and largely ignore bitcoin, which has only existed for 7 years. As well they should.

Of Course you are right, no Investor would invest into Bitcoin as a safe Investment.
But to look at correlation between the Brexit and BTCs it makes sense to look at Price changes of the currency.
The Price of 1 GBP  in BTCs didn't Change from last Monday to this Monday. It is still around 0.0020.
