Cube now hashes perfectly for 15-20 mins, then 'dead'. Still power issue ?
What have you changed since last time. Is it the same cube that is failing?

And I've said it a million times, use slush's stratum proxy. Its so much simpler because in this case you don't know if its BFG.
6682  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: February 11, 2014, 10:42:21 AM
I've had my AM Blade running since November 29th. I just noticed today that it turned off at some point. I think it's the PSU although it does power on for about five to ten seconds, then just powers off. I know it's not the surge protector because I tested directly in the wall and also get the same behavior. Has anyone had one of the Corsair GS800 PSU's go bad on them?

Or should it not work at all if it is indeed a bad PSU?

Appreciate any pointers. Thanks.
Sounds dead to me. Get a PSU tester, they cost about $5 off amazon

weird at slush's pool or with the proxy?
Slush

This PSU works for my other cube.

So, these are 2 separate lines we are looking for, right?
Yes. Try swapping your PSUs round, see which PSUs/cubes work.

  • Make sure your router's subnet is 1, ie 192.168.1.x

That's just initially. He has internet so its not the problem.

Hi all.

I can really use some help here:

I have this ASIC cube set up as per your instructions, and the darn thing will not hash above maybe 4gh/s unless I sit on the BE cubeminer screen and click on pools every few seconds (or when data stops streaming in)

This is my set up. I cannot use anything other than 0.0.0.0 as it's gateway as it is up on a business network)

..or am I doing something wrong.
Please help!   Sad
Take the port out of the IP, long pool should be active (which may be causing what you have).

That's just it.  Long pool sometimes is active and other times it isn't?

I'm stumped. Removal of the ports from the ip address did nothing.  :/
Any android phones on wifi?

If owner are interested OC 300-600w PSU isn't good choice.
No its not, hence I recommend a 750W PSU.

I am setting my 2 antminers at a location I lease, I don't have control over the building's internet or router, and building's internet wants to be on IP 10.3.3x.xxx

I couldn't figure out how to get my antminers working until I changed the protocol of the WAN to DHCP (without saving)

going back to the interface tab, and restarting the WAN, I was immediately kicked off the direct IP 192.168.1.99 without any access to the antminers, but they started hashing at the pool.

Fortunately I can restore access by power down/power up the ants, which returns the WAN to static IP.  In order to get them hashing again, I need to redo the WAN change above.
You have a working formula so I'd just stick with it. Unlike Avalons, you don't really ever have to check in with the AntMiners as theres no stock overclocking or voltage/fan tweaking.

1st post, you'll have to show some proof.
what kind of proof? like pictures?
Yes

I need help guys, after hashinh for several days my cables at the molex splitters started melting.  Huh
See the OP again, the recommendations is NOT to use a molex connector. Plenty of links and information there.

It would power ONE. Remember you can use the 4 pin ATX mobo cable for one, and if you have am 8 pin you can power two with 2x4 pin.
Thank you for all the hard work and effort you have put in the OP. Do you think that, cutting a 6pin connector would be sufficient to power 3 blades, as a replacement for the molex?

Thank you for the reply. The quote got messed up for some reason. The 6pin connect has 3 blacks 3 yellow wires, they wont be able to handle intensity of 3 blades?
No. Each pair of yellow wires is only able to provide about 75W before it becomes dodgy. You're asking 360W from ~110W of cables.

hello

i have 2 knc 550ghs
do use multiple knc miner with same pool different ork ?
should use different pool each device  ?

thank you
You can use the same pool and even the same miner login details if you want. The only difference is how you get your statistics. Ie if you see 1x1100GH miner or 2x550GH.

How many BTC in total would 1 be shipped to the UK?

It would be 400$ + shipping, which is around 60$ (happy to work with you to find better options) at the current BTC price, which amounts to around 0.64BTC
+20% VAT + import fees when it arrives to the UK
6694  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S1 Setup on: February 10, 2014, 07:52:32 AM
use an IP sweeper to find the ant miner, then set the IP to static
Question, I had issues with the ant miner and slushes pool, it looked like it was mining, but never got any shares... so i quickly switched over to eligius...

I actually direct my to Ghash.io

Something weird happened at Slush's, it used to be so good. Now I only recommend it for those using stratum proxies (for simplicity).
6695  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: February 10, 2014, 07:45:25 AM
It's not that two 6 pin connectors off a single line is bad in general.  But for this application or something similar two independent lines is preferred and absolutely necessary in some cases.
so why won't this work ? these are 2 separate lines?

It should, as long as the PSU itself was capable of providing that much power. Powering a cube is no easy task.

Easy to follow overclocking instructions, perhaps?

Setup guides are for box to hashing. I do OCing guides when there isn't already a thread (there is). If it needs summaring then I can take a look. It's also difficult as KNC isn't responding to emails.
6698  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: February 10, 2014, 07:13:59 AM
what is being suggested... use single line pci-e connectors.. don't go cutting bits off of double-headed connectors (lol), get a set of proper mesh single line pci-e cables, this will spread the load, rather than trying to force the power from one cable with two heads, you will be providing power via two single cables, from two 8-pin to two 6-pin pci-e on each cube.

Alternatively stex2009 could also try those two 4 pin molex to 6 pin PCI express connectors to ensure each line connected to the Cube is receiving sufficient power.

Don't try this please. It's the same outcome. Cubes require perfect power, they're 300w of 12v.

Thanks Dogie, let me try that. :-)    However I dont have the "Switch clock" button on my config screen. Would "Update/restart" do as well?
You won't on V2s, they can't be overclocked.
6700  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: February 09, 2014, 06:36:52 PM
Hi ya'll

I'm almost there, just 2 problems to overcome, however they kept me busy this whole sunday.  ;-)

I bought a bunch of ASIC V2 blades, when approaching them the configuration screen reads on both primary as secundary DNS 0.0.0.0
My -on this matter not so educated guess- would be this isn't right, right? Didn't find a solution or answer so far, hence this message.

The second problem I ran into is the BFGminer, in big red characters it screams at me: NO DEVICES FOUND: press 'M' and '+' to add
Now I'm wondering if my DNS settings might have something to do with this.

Any help is HIGHLY appriciated, to be honest... I'm pretty desperated.    Almost like him:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAgyR9Gwcp0  (xept for the remote control action) or him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KImHU9TGOfU

Haha :-)  No really, I don't have the specific knowledge to solve this, so any help would be very helpfull, thanks in advance!

Michael

Ignore the DNS field, its not required.

Use the stratum proxy, its 10x simpler than using BFG miner as the proxy. Instructions are in the OP.
