You're going to have to hire a secretary to keep up to date with all the cockroach scammers. Cheesy   Hope you're making enough sales to support one.

6742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: March 19, 2019, 01:49:52 AM
The 72th version I would def. order a lot of...  It does say **Whatsminer M20S** Batch 1 – Starts shipping July 20-30, 2019

it also says this "Please Note: Delivery to Customer will be upto 1-2 weeks after China factory release date"

i think these gears will hit the Chinese market by mid July , which is normal , Bitmain does the same thing,it's a chines thing that they always have to give their Chinese clients a lead, so most likely shipping to non-Chinese would be End of July - beginning of Aug - so these miners would be delivered some where around mid Aug.

these numbers are really temping, but 5 months from now till the gear sits on  my rack is a bit discouraging.

Do you think this M20S is like the M10S enlarged 140mm size?

they say "M20S has a slightly larger footprint then the M20v1 and m20v2 but still maintains its cool in the harshest environments"

I am transparent to the loaner. He made this thread regardless of any extension (I have until end of today). That's normal, it's not a sign of anything including that I "didn't communicate" with him, etc.

what happened to this ?

I don't know much about lending, but to me you are rather untrustworthy , repaying too late isn't much better than not paying at all , at least how i look at it, and given the fact this is not your first time, i am having a hard time believing that you are not planning for something bigger next time. and since most people do not read neutral feedback, i think one negative should at least stay there , so others know before hand when dealing with you.

i still would still want to hear other member's opinion on this case.
6745  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Dragonmint T1 - Cant find IP Adress on: March 18, 2019, 10:08:06 PM
[...]

There is no way to connect a device that is waiting for a dhcp server on the other end to a pc, it will never work.

Unless that miner has a static ip then you can not simply connect it to a pc and expect to work.

There is a workaround and it is not very simple, op has solved his problem already, i will make a complete guide on how to connect miner to pc without the need of router.
6746  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: If your miner is not showing on the network > here is what you doing wrong. on: March 18, 2019, 05:30:03 PM
There is no need to do anything else aside from the enabling the sharing as in the guide, the message you got tells you to make sure that your machine has a dhcp/auto ip settings. Which am starting to doubt.

Can you disconnect the miner , do another arp -a command while miner disconnected and post screenshot?
6747  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: March 18, 2019, 04:37:55 PM
if the numbers are true above then  m20 vs s17  would be interesting

I doubt that it would be that interesting, it's safe to assume "regardless of how much i dislike bitmain" that they will always have better gears in terms of efficiency.

i also like the fact that they keep the number of chips kind low, less total power consumption per miner is a plus in terms of noise and temperature control.

also if it's true the whatsminer will start shipping at june/july then chances are the S17 will hit the market first.

I also personally feel like doing business with bitmain is a lot more smoother. but that's just my own opinion.
6748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another helpful Software (Advanced SystemCare) Speed-up your Windows PC/Laptop on: March 18, 2019, 04:28:02 PM

Actually you can improve your internet speed on a software level "technically" , but the way these companies advertise their software is just fake and stupid , it reminds me of some people who ask " how to download gtx 1080ti for free" , you can even find YouTube tutorials on shit like that.

There is a huge overall improvements on a software level alone, but then again using the wrong piece of software can make things worse, let alone the security concerns.

I think a better approach would be using the built-in features by MS, just clean disk, scan for bad sectors, disk defragmenter , manually uninstalling unused programs, disabling services you don't need and deleting unnecessary bootable programs - alone can make a big performance difference.
6749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save your crypto, Disable WPS! on: March 18, 2019, 04:19:19 PM
Device manufacturers need to pay more attention to security.

they do, people don't.

most new routers have wps disabled by default, even some old routers have new firmware versions that would disable wps, but i know that most people never bother about flushing a new router firmware ! and they tend to buy old models because they are cheaper and do just about the same things that new and more expensive routers do , which makes sense to be honest  Grin.
6750  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: If your miner is not showing on the network > here is what you doing wrong. on: March 18, 2019, 04:10:13 PM
i tried the method with changing the phones ip but it doesnt work. the phone itself connected with the data you told me but the miners ip is still the same and nothing changed.

ok, then try to connect  the miner directly to your pc, but first enable ICS,  here is a simple guide for it > https://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-7/how-to-share-an-internet-connection-in-windows-7/

this will allow your windows pc to act as dhcp server, it should give your miner an ip address and you will be able to access it.

after you have enabled ICS and connected your miner, open cmd and type this

Code:
arp -a

it will list connected devices .

edit: power off the miner, and then power it on, sometimes if it fails to get an ip address after starting up, it will just hang.
6751  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: March 18, 2019, 04:00:17 PM
these numbers are good, but i sure as hell won't pre-order anything.

i think you should also be considering that fact that S17 could hit the market any time soon, with the alleged 30j/TH we could be looking at 45TH at 1500w.
6752  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save your crypto, Disable WPS! on: March 18, 2019, 03:41:54 PM
If i have WPS enable , and if i store/hold coins on ledger nano i'm safe , if i send coins from ledger when i'm connected to WI-FI router?

And if i have some coins on PC with psssword encrypted, they can steal coins?

there is no Yes/NO answer to such a question.

if you give your house keys to a stranger, will they steal the golden necklace you hide under the sofa ?

while there is no guarantee that he would do so,  chances increase drastically the moment  he passes your main door going in.

the same things apply here, when the hacker has access to your network, it does not mean that he would be able to hack into EVERYTHING, but simply his chances increase by a good factor and things become easier to do.

6753  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: If your miner is not showing on the network > here is what you doing wrong. on: March 18, 2019, 03:26:30 PM
to point 1. i had one issue when turn on my telephone and advancedipscvanner it says that its online, but when i turn the miner on the advancedipscanner is kinda reacting to that ip adress. it appears to be offline and sometimes just the ip shows up even though i have named the Connection to "Smartphone". i have looked all over Google to Change that Android ip adress but i dont know how to change that adress.

it seems like there are limited address that your router has, so they miner and the phone are conflicting , you can simply change the phone ip address to static address to eliminate this issue. follow these steps

1- go to your wireless setting

2- hold-tab on your network, and chose "manage network settings"

3- tab on "show advanced options"

4- change "IP settings" from DHCP to static

5- input these details , make sure you follow these inputs EXACTLY.

** these settings are only valid for your current router network set-up they won't work with any other setting.

to point 2. the miner itself has dhcp and when i look over ipconfig /all it says that dhcp is activated, but it still gives me the same ip adress which is called 169.254.157.47. i tried to use these two buttons on the miner which are called "reset" and "ipset"

there is also no standard gateway and the miner doesnt send any packages back.
i have connected the miner via ethernet cable to my pc. i dont know if its okay to connect it like that or directly to the router. i dont have direct access to it.

https://www.bilder-upload.eu/bild-eb6a99-1552909913.png.html

I think you get these results when you connect your miner directly to the pc , this is normal, the miner needs a dhcp server to give it an ip address which your pc can NOT do, so there is no point doing this.

there is a work around to for this, but it's not important now, do as i explained first, make sure your phone is not causing the problem, and then if it still fails to connect to the router, i will tell you how to connect it to your pc directly.

edit:  i  forgot to mention that the 169.x.x.x you think your miner got is not a real working IP , it's something that windows "MS" gives to any client that connects to a windows machine and fails to have a proper " working IP" , so in simple words , windows is telling you this

" ok i do see a device on the other side of the cable, but i can't communicate with it"

still i think you need access to that router, you going to face some issues along the way and you will always need to have access to that router, you can't be running things under a router that you don't own / have full control of , you need at least the permission of that network administrator and he/she should provide you with the basic info you need, if that router is YOURS then you should it reset  to have full access.
6754  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: If your miner is not showing on the network > here is what you doing wrong. on: March 18, 2019, 10:09:28 AM
first thing, forget about the IP you see on whatsmyip , for the sake of solving of this problem let's say it's not important at all.

that 172.16.x.x is your private local up, and you should search from 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255 and your subnet mask should be (255.240.0.0)

so make sure when using Angry IP Scanner you set the range from 172.16.0.0  to 172.31.255.255  , these are all the possible ip address that your router will be able to provide.

if your miner does not show then here are the possible issues and how to solve them.

1- DHCP table is full already  > you need to shut down one of your devices to give that spot to the miner
2- Your miner has a static ip address which does not fit into your router setting > hard-reset the miner to become DHCP
3- your network wire is faulty > try another one

also have you tried admin / admin for both password and username on the router interface?

it's safe to assume that most casinos are shady and unethical at best case scenario, but there is a major problem with your "accusation"

I don't know the accused member, don't think i ever interacted with him, but almost every member here promotes Bitcoin, remind of BTC Ltd. address ? or perhaps satoshi license?

6757  Economy / Reputation / Re: A list of top scammers on the " Digital Goods " market. on: March 17, 2019, 02:54:14 AM
It is the first time I know about this topic. I declare my joining the efforts of others in updating this list continuously.

There are a lot of Scam members that I tagged them on my trust. I wish some DT members to evaluate each case and tag those who deserve it "Mistakes always happen, let me know if I accidentally tag someone."

"we" usually don't tag those with no locked/self-moderated topics, which i see you do in 2 feedback of yours which checked randomly, the use of autobuy links in itself is not an indication of scammy behavior, but using those in a self-moderated topic / locked topic is almost a confirmation for scam.

if you don't mind narrowing the list of your feedback only to those with self-moderated and locked topics i will gladly evaluate them 1 by 1 and add them to the list.( this will also serve as good practice should anyone decide to add you to DT2, those feedback will probably get in the way of doing so)

thanks a lot

Good update.  Thanks

where them updates @ ?

Got a new candidate for the list: donjon88

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5121022.0

all those who bought the list get free updated list .

I hear these things are selling like hotcakes.

indeed, best anti-scam product out there. Grin
6759  Other / Meta / Re: Users should be notified when being put on DT on: March 17, 2019, 12:37:58 AM
Don't worry about it, many members keep an open eye on new DT members, and once they are proven to not fit for this kind of task, they get excluded, you are a perfect example for this.

6760  Economy / Speculation / Re: The end of the sideways market is only a few months a head. TA on: March 17, 2019, 12:03:52 AM
From the point of view of technical analysis what you say is valid, what happens is that the conditions in 2014 and 2015 were very different from those now, if we take into account 2018-2019.

indeed things are different now, but this does not invalidate the high possibility of things happening again, things can happen 1 month/ 6 months earlier or later than how they happened in the past, also giving the size of btc market, values can differ 10%/100% , but the overall picture is  most likely going to be the same.
