6741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 23, 2020, 01:23:03 AM
I think even if players are afraid of getting a virus, they have no choice but to take a risk than to starve to death since they also need income. Also, I think we are mostly just afraid at the beginning of this pandemic but now, we are slowly adapting and continue living with a new normal setup.

We can see sports events are now starting to reopen and players just need to be extra careful with their health and to prevent getting a virus especially if they are already scheduled to have a match.

With the new normal, many people, not just the player adapt to a new habit, always follow every health protocol from the government. We are afraid of the virus, but we need to do something if we want to survive. If the players can protect themselves in the field or the public area, they don't have to worry.

If they can take care of themselves, we will see the number of players who get infected will reduce because they can know how to adapt to the new normal, and they must do.

Soon, many sports will re-open, and even if there is no audience, it doesn't matter because after the vaccine can distribute to people and the Covid-19 end, the audience can come to the stadium and watch their favorite teams or players.
6742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 23, 2020, 12:18:22 AM
In the first place, we shouldn't do gambling just to recover our losses?

There's no success to that thinking since we will just be under pressure to get all of our losses. Just try our best to win no matter what everytime we play. If something bad is now happening, then take a break and don't push.

If still, after lots of tries, luck still doesn't come then maybe gambling on that luck-based game is not really for us. Try now to switch on other gambling types.

That is what we should do with gambling games, but many gamblers forget that, and they think about how they can recover the losses by playing other games or more rounds. It is not worth trying to recover the losses because no matter how hard we try, if we don't have luck, we will not have a chance to win, even for just small money.

Playing gambling without thinking about winning will give us happiness because we can enjoy the games, and if we can win, that will be our bonus. And if you win, no need to wait for a long time to stop because that will be our savior to save our money from the losses that can happen in the next rounds.

If you think that luck is not coming, perhaps, taking a break will the best solution to calm down your emotion and tension, so you can back to the games and enjoy it.
6743  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we ready for the ^POMP^ yet? on: October 22, 2020, 06:03:45 AM
Since PayPal announced its allowance of cryptocurrencies, BTC soared high towards $13k and I can see that the rally already began for BTC. Is it party time or shall we wait a bit longer? Rally has started, the question is - towards which side? If this news throws BTC down, then let's get ready for another leg down towards $8k and buy BTC cheap? Or shall I buy BTC right now? Is $13k cheap atm and can I go for a 10x leverage position at this price?

I guess after Paypal announced that thing, it could bring fresh air for cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin, to have more support because we know that Paypal has big members.

The answer will depend on your target price. If you make $12k, $13k, or $14k as your target price to sell, you can place an order at that price, so you don't miss the chance to sell bitcoin. But if you want to sell bitcoin at more than $19k, you need to be patient because the bitcoin price does not yet touch that highest price.

If the bitcoin price is down again towards $8k or another down price, you can buy more bitcoin, but once again, that will depend on you. We can suggest you buy bitcoin every time the price is down, but only you will know your funds' conditions. Think twice, and analyzing deeper will be the solution for you before you decide to repurchase bitcoin.
6744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy BTC from PayPal now that they are letting people do it? on: October 22, 2020, 04:48:44 AM
I voted Maybe.

But I feel that it does not feel better for me to use Paypal to buy bitcoin from my Paypal account. I still prefer to use the usual exchanges. Perhaps, I will check on my Paypal account to see if I got that email like you or I don't get it.

Paypal gives their member a chance to buy bitcoin from their account, which can help crypto grow as we know that Paypal has a large customer from many countries. So if Paypal can send an email to all of their members, I think they can know about crypto, and they will try as what @philipma1957 did.

Perhaps, holding $100-$500 in the Paypal account would not be a problem as long as Paypal can still protect their members, so we don't have to afraid of the hackers that want to breaks our account.
6745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2017/2018 Bullrun repeat in 2021? on: October 22, 2020, 03:44:32 AM
~snip~
history has been repeating itself already!
you shouldn't just look at the end of the bull run and only call that "repetition". but you should look at the entire transition from the bubble (the one before last at $1200 back in 2013) to the bear market then the prolonged bear trend and a longer accumulation in 2014 and 2015 respectively and finally the start of the slow rise in 2015 and start of 2016 that led to that final fast and big bull market of 2017.

so far everything from 2013 to 2016 has been repeating very similarly from 2017 to 2020 even the time-frame (3 years) is the same!

I don't have high skills to analyze deeper as you, and I only see that history will repeat itself. And now, we see that the bitcoin price has the power to lift the price to a higher level, and the bitcoin price finally can break $12k, even the price touch $12,500. The price takes a break for a while after medium rallies from the $11,900 level to $12,700. Perhaps, it is because we almost at the weekend, which usually, the price will adjust for a while.

But I am sure that the price will have the opportunity to break $13k and so on. If bitcoin can have more power from this month and next month, perhaps, we will see bitcoin price can touch $15,000 - $17,500. But still, we need to be careful if there is a downtrend or dump to get more support. And if that happens, we can use that time to buy more bitcoin.
6746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 22, 2020, 02:39:19 AM
To join any gambling website, it is mandatory to read the TOS. If you do not read the TOS then you will get into trouble later. I once deposited a few dollars on an online gambling site without a TOS and later when I went to withdraw, I saw that they wanted KYC. If you want to avoid such unpleasant incidents, you must read the TOS before joining.

You have another option to avoid that experience by not joining the new gambling site, and you can stick to your old gambling website, and you don't have to worry about that any matter. If you are curious about the new gambling site, you need to read the TOS and make sure you understand and know their rule to prevent the bad thing that can happen in the future.

We can join the gambling site, which doesn't require KYC, and I think we can found that many gambling websites here, so you don't have to try the new sites. That will be safe for you to playing gambling, and if somehow, you win the games and get the money, you can withdraw it anytime.
6747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 22, 2020, 01:35:58 AM
I suppose we do see this sort of thing already to a lesser extent with flu and other viruses sweeping through a team, and players perhaps missing a game or at least playing at reduced capacity. The difference with CV19 of course is that the effect is much more dramatic, with players being forced to miss matches entirely for a couple of weeks.

The problem here is not with the game, players might already acquire the virus outside of the game which results in massive postpone of major games. In order to avoid these from happening, sports associations should always provide the necessary caution for the players to prepare and double their sanitation.

That is a big problem that every player should face because we don't know what the players do outside of the games. They can be anywhere they want, but we don't know if they are still following the health protocols or don't follow the protocols. When many players are infected with the Covid-19, that can lead to the postpone of major games because they will be reduced, even if they used backup players.

But we hope that the players can take care of their health, so there are not many postpone games that will happen while we are all waiting for the vaccine. The sports association needs to watch and be ready for any situations, but hopefully, all things will be okay.
6748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 22, 2020, 12:33:40 AM
I am sure most gamblers do not easily forget the losses they have experienced, so gamblers will definitely try to cover the losses they
have experienced. By playing gambling with even greater capital, this is the beginning of an even greater loss. Because the longer we
play gambling, then the possibility that we will experience a greater loss will definitely happen. So we must be able to accept and move on,
if we experience losses in gambling.

They need to forget their losses, no matter how big the losses because if they still remember the losses, that can make them want revenge and try to win the games. It will not give them a chance to recover their losses, even if that can trigger another loss.

Playing gambling with greater capital will not guarantee to have winning much money, but the possibility of having a big loss will be there since if a gambler loses more than three times, they will still play the games. Accepting the losses and moving on will be necessary if we don't want to get more losses to avoid the bigger losses.
6749  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Different level of risk in crypto currency trading on: October 21, 2020, 05:37:48 AM
As far as I know, the cryptocurrency risk will be different between one coin to other coins because the price is different too. Even if you invest in bitcoin, you will have a risk of losing your money value.

Every investment will have risk, but we can minimize the risk by learning how to prevent it. The higher the product/coin volatility, the risk will be bigger, so you need to know how to reduce it.

Perhaps, when you buy bitcoin or other coins at a price now, the price can up and down anytime. If the price is down, you lose your money value because it is down from your buy price. But you have a chance to see the price will bounce again to the high price in the next hours or days. If the price still down, even it is down deeper, you can cut loss at a price now, so you can buy back the coin and hold it for a while.

If the price can increase back, you can sell it, and you will make a profit.
6750  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 21, 2020, 04:37:56 AM
There is no way around it, if the government continues to lock down its territory, the economy will run slowly and more people will lose their jobs, so new normal should be applied. The pandemic will get worse, more people will be infected until a vaccine is found. meanwhile, people are responsible for following health protocols, taking care of themselves, boosting immunity to minimize the chance of being infected with the virus.

The government is already re-opening the economy because they can't continue to lock down the country without thinking about their people. If the lockdown continues, the economy will also stop, and many people will suffer without any chance to survive.

In this way, the government and their citizen need to responsible for their health. It is hard for all people, but that is what it needs to do right now. If they can cooperate, the infection will not increase. And the infection can decrease, which can help the government cure people who got infected by Covid.

It is a good thing if the government can slowly re-open the economy because that means the government gives business owners a chance to start their business, which can make the economy start running. That can provide the people to have a new job of joining in that business.
6751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2017/2018 Bullrun repeat in 2021? on: October 21, 2020, 03:37:59 AM
I am very excited to see the outcome if history will repeat itself, I was still a newbie on the last all time high and has no decent portfolio back then, I gained experienced now and holding a lot of good coins in my portfolio and this next bull run will give a dramatic change in my life not to mention I am in a campaign where I'm getting Bitcoin payout, I'm sure many of us here are as excited as I am.

Many people predicted that history would repeat itself, and perhaps, we will see a new ATH in the next bull run. We always hope that when the bull run comes, the price can start the rally and jump to the new highest price.

That is good if you have many good coins in your portfolio, but that will not guarantee if your coins will get the time to increase when the bull run comes. It is still difficult to know which coin will increase later because every coin will have the same opportunity to start the rally. We can only prepare by buying the coin that we predict it has a chance to increase, so we need to analyze more to find that coin.
6752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: October 21, 2020, 02:37:05 AM
Some says they gamble for stress reliever and they want to have some fun. And some they do gamble because they want to win big and earn money. As of me i do gamble because i want to win and i want to earn money. Gamble is the most way to get money easily if you gonna win. So game in gamble is for fun and earn money.

That is why people are playing gambling for the first time, but after they found the fun thing in playing gambling, they try to play other gambling games. Sooner or later, they become addicted to gambling, making it difficult to stop their new habit. If they don't ask for help from other people, they will not have a chance to stop gambling, and they will become heavily addicted to gambling.

But I don't think that gambling is the most way to get money easily because many people lose their money at the gambling table. So if they want to use gambling to make money, they need to think twice before they really decide.
6753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 21, 2020, 01:30:26 AM
This is mine:
5. Reckless spending will cause a big problem, always manage to spend your money.

OP, you have to understand that it's not that simple to manage your money once you involved in gambling.

It was common advice but how come even professional gamblers still can't follow?

Would be better if gamblers will experience a big problem so that they will understand the feeling and will try to avoid it in the future.

That is right. It needs the experience to manage the money that will be used for gambling. Not all people realize how much money they should use to gamble, but they try to put another money from their balance to continue gamble. I think that is the common problem that every gambler faces, not just a pro gambler.

If the gambler can solve the big problem, that can make them wise to decide related to the gambling games, and they will know what needs to do if they got something in the gambling games.
6754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 21, 2020, 12:30:44 AM
~snip~

Yep,,, I always see the same few names play in poker if I enter, so it is very clear that those with a bit of skill can beat the average population and make their games +EV (by taking other player pots early and taking tournament prize cash). I wish I was as good in such card games but I know my place:) No skill means gamble just for fun;)

You can have good skills in card games if you learn more about that games Grin
That is a requirement to be a good poker player and the other card games. But you can just gamble for fun without learning if you don't want to learn.
Perhaps, to learn poker game needs a passion for searching for many lessons, so we only see the same few names play in poker because people think that poker is one gambling game that needs skills to play.

~snip~

Apart from having adequate skills, a gambler should also have mental toughness. Good skills without having mental toughness will make their steps less consistent, but if they have mental toughness so they can play consistently, calm in every situation, and wouldn't make many mistakes that could cause them to lose.

Without having mental toughness, that player can get a bluff from other players, and he can't manage his emotion or think how to get rid of the other player's trick. Having skills, calm in every situation will be needed in poker games and other gambling games base on skills. Instead, getting bluff from other players will not make him give up, but that is a challenge for him to defend his position.
6755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2017/2018 Bullrun repeat in 2021? on: October 20, 2020, 05:32:18 AM
I tend to say that it is a little bull run because every time the price increases, the price will be back to the lower price in the next hour or day, and that is happening in many times. It is a good moment for us to buy and sell, but we need to analyze deeper to find the best time to enter the market. We don't know when the price will touch the lowest price before it bounces up again. But we can just buy bitcoin at the price that we think is the low price, and then we can hold it for a while. After that moment, the bitcoin price will be going up slowly to the high price, and who knows, by doing that, we will have a chance to see the price touch the highest price.

I am not sure if this situation will be one indicator for the whales to play with the market, but I know that if we can use this time for our benefits, we will make a profit. But if you are afraid to see the price up to and down, it is better not to trade and only see what will happen to the market.
6756  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Situation :( on: October 20, 2020, 04:32:57 AM
I think you don't have to panic or have negative thinking about the situations because every government will not let the worst thing happen. They will try their best and do what they can to solve every problem, including the Covid-19, the economy, and other things. We need to support the government by always protect ourselves with everything that will be necessary to do. The situations will not go better if people do not help the government, and they tend to do whatever they want without think twice about the risk. 2020 is a bad year for all countries, but don't forget, we still have a better life in the future, so we need to survive and struggle for our lives. Everything will be okay, and the crisis in all countries will end soon, but we need to do our best to support the government. Together, we can do that Wink
6757  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 20, 2020, 03:26:17 AM
The government can re-open the economy, but they need to warn people who will re-opening their businesses to follow every health protocol. If they don't follow, the government can force that place to close it. If the business owner doesn't follow the health protocols, that can make the pandemic worse. Even it will be worse than the last few months because that can attract many people to get an infection. We risk getting infected by Covid-19 because we don't know who the carrier is or people without symptoms, which can be dangerous to other people.

The government needs to get an income from the business sector, and people need money to continue to survive. If people can still be careful and always have health protocols, that can help people prevent the infection.
there are areas where the protocol is much more relaxed compare from the last 3 months all do the virus still there but the good thing is we already learn how to adopt having it , and we already know how to protect our self right now It will help many people to continue their lives and survive in this survival time.

Even if there is a place or area which do not have strict health protocols, it doesn't mean that we don't have to be careful because we don't know where the virus will come from. No matter where we come from, we need to follow the health protocols, at least, for ourselves, so we can prevent the virus spreads to us.

So if we are in the crowd or the local store or malls, we know how to protect ourselves and our family, which can help the government reduce the number of infections in the crowd. We must do many things when we are in a crowd or the store with many people in one big room.

But it is good for the government to re-open the economy by giving a chance to the business owner to start their business again. That can provide a new way for the economy to grow in this pandemic slowly.

We have to risk even there is no assurance of our safety. We might not get caught by covid 19 but we may die because of famine. Many people are struggles to do their daily life because of lockdown. We can't always depend in our government because some of them are corrupt officials. This lockdown is only good for rich and middle class people who can live even without a job for a couple of months, but what happens to the poor? We always struggle to find food even there is no pandemic, what more when there it was?

As long as we can be careful in the crowd, I am sure we will be okay while we can still do what we want in that place. The government is still trying to warn the people in the crowd. They also permit the store to re-open their store because that means the economy in that city or country can start again. All people will still try to continue to survive in many ways, and I am sure they can do that.
6758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 20, 2020, 02:23:40 AM
I don't know why many people don't like slot game this time around just because the game required luck not experience to win.
That's why I prefer skill game because it hard for someone to miss the bet for the match. I think skill game have this potential of making good money without more stress.

Those who possess good skills for the games where the skills are helpful in making you win those one will continue to love the skills games than luck. Since not all of them can have the fine skill to win the games so may would be dependent on the luck as well, though luck is important for any game but not every game can be won by pure luck. Some games like blackjack, poker etc are the ones where your skill and experience also counts.

A gambler who has skills will make blackjack, poker, or other card games as their favorite gambling games because they can use their skills to beat the opponent. They will prefer to play the gambling games base on the skills than to use the base of the game on the luck because they think that they will have a chance to win if they play the games that base on the skills.

Perhaps, they can play gambling games based on the luck for some other time to see if they have other luck on those games or not. Skill games really need more time to learn and understand the games, and if you do not have time to learn, then perhaps, the luck games will be the games for you to play.
6759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 20, 2020, 01:19:16 AM
I think reputation matters but it was not easily be given to anyone they should show first it to the community and only time could tell, some of the most of the reputable gambling sites doesn't have license but we know that they are trusted since through time they proven themselves but of course at first it would be hard for them to attract players and encourage to trust them.

What you are saying is true, for gambling sites to get a good reputation it takes time to prove it. Of course all gambling sites for the first time
must have difficulty attracting users attention and gaining users trust. So in my opinion, just run gambling sites well and do promotions, then
it will get users by itself. If users are satisfied, they will continue to play, even if the gambling sites don't have a license.

Perhaps, having a license can make the casino have legality, so people will see that besides the casino is a recommended casino to play gambling, that casino also has a license to run a gambling business. That can make the casino the top-notch of gambling websites, and I am sure that they will invite many more people to visit and play gambling.

Get the reputations will not be easy because the casino needs to make their customer satisfaction with their services. The casino needs to have a 24/7 support system that will always stand by to help the members. If they have problems, they can fix it quickly, so the members will not feel disturbed when they play gambling.
6760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 20, 2020, 12:18:25 AM
Do you ever asked yourselves these things?
I never asked myself about those things. If I want to gamble, I just visit the site, deposit some money if necessary, play for some rounds, and move to the other games. If I think that is enough to playing gambling, I will stop and leave the site without thinking about how much money I already lose or win. I will come back again to the gambling site in the next few days if I want.

1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?
I prefer to play gambling on online gambling.

2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?
Less than $10-$50.

3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?
No matter the result, I will stop gambling as soon as possible if I got a streak.

4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?
First, I don't use $1000 for gambling. Perhaps, I will only use $50 for the biggest money to gamble.

5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?
Have a discipline, limit your money, and control yourself.
