6741  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear time is near to end on: October 08, 2018, 01:36:58 PM
Hard to believe with just a prediction.
But I do hope the bear market will end.
I just started trading and it is hard to make a good prediction when you see not much of a movement.
Better to just HODL bitcoin for now and maybe I could start training into trading again once the volatility starts.
6742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are proofs of the real existence of the team important for an ICO? on: October 07, 2018, 11:56:13 PM
Why pick?
Why not do both?
There is no limit into what you will posts.
Besides, it will not take that much time right? It will just be a second to take a picture (if it is real) and another second to upload it.
Does that really matter much to you?
For me, I want to see them so busy. It looks so real. Grin just my opinion.
6743  Economy / Economics / Re: The basis of being a poor- how little or how big? on: October 07, 2018, 08:38:00 PM
It is also how you spend it.
If you are basing money as to identify richness then it is also how you will manage yourself.
If you look at every place there are things that we dont really need and yet we buy it.
Survival is the real deal and yet we want smartphones, computers and an airconditioned house just so we could say we aint poor.

That is not it. As long as you can eat everyday even with the smallest amount of salary then you can say you are still on ths right track. You just need to step up withh your job and stay with the lifestyle that you are from the start.
6744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi. What did he found to create something like bitcoin? on: October 07, 2018, 07:48:30 PM
On the software release date, he left a message pointing to the second bailout package for the bank, so it was clear he had some sort of collision with Banks. But so far, Bitcoin has not stopped. I think because he wants to create another currency to pay something with digital technology to the fiat currency side. Maybe that's because many people believe in bitcoin, and use them as a currency for their payment systems. The idea of blockchain and bitcoin is certainly long term. They have been working for years on Bitcoin to finally be on the market, many of whom do not believe of course. But Bitcoin shows by a big pump in December 2017 that it can represent a lot of things and especially change a lot of things. Because it has disappeared after creating something technologically or an extraordinary system. To be honest, that was a strange thing for me all this time, but I forgot it. To me, I think Satoshi is just a genius. That must have made him a decentralized currency like Bitcoin.

A collision with banks. Good point.
He may have a bad experience about it.
One example is havingg to send greater amounts when you are just an ordinary people.
They question everything when someone is not known to be rich.
Why is this a problem to them? What if you did really save the money at your home? Somehow they wont accept those kinds of arguement. But if you did save it to them then there will be no question.
Plus, questions of why and what purpose sending a large amount to another bank account.
This things should not really exist but they are followong the governments rule.
Coz bow we can send large portion of money thru bitcoin and I bet they dont like what is happening.
6745  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will the bull run return this December? on: October 06, 2018, 11:56:06 PM
I am expecting one bull run before the end of the year.
But it wont be quite as much as what happened last year.

We are on the look of different government offices by now and specially financial experts thay might do something to stop what happened last time.
We are all shocked about it including them considering no one knows it could really happen and it did without even a warning.
6746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs now are asking for too much on: October 06, 2018, 09:12:24 PM
Yes, because most of them needs to pay employees, programmers, advertisements and a lot more.

I remember one ICO who got bankrupt because they didnt hit the softcap although they got 3million dollars in their offering.

Look this people needs to pay a lot of things and with just 1 million dollars it will not be enough.

Add the capital they released. I dont think that will be a small one.
This is for legitimate ICO's who have a goal.
6747  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance success on: October 06, 2018, 08:09:30 PM
I am using binance as a result of delays on Coinbase and other exchanges in getting verified. Is this the reason Binance is so successful?
What is actually the main reason?
It seems that Binance was founded in 2017 and by 2018 it became the most successful exchange. Coinbase was founded in 2012 and Kraken in 2011 yet they failed to achieve what Binance has achieved.
From a business point of view, what is the reason Binance achieved so much?

They have a secure exchange, low (comparably) fees, a well working and efficient exchange and little difficulties with load issues. A lot of people transitioned towards the end of 2017 when the bigger exchanges of that time such as bittrex were having lots of difficulties handling the increased load so there was a lot of down time and bugs etc.

I agree on that but was it just a bandwagon effect? Like, did people start talking about how Binance solves their problem with efficiency? Honestly, I have never seen any marketing ads from Binance! They are just fantastic in my opinion. It still stays a mystery for me

It is not just because of a bandwagon effect.
They do their customer service as fast as possible.
Tried it already with a problem of google authenticity because of changing phones.
They will just need more information about you for securiry purposes.
I guess that is one also, security. They make sure it is the real you to avoid being hacked.

Plus, they list tokens which have better future instead of just listing anyone who submits it. They research also.
6748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 06, 2018, 06:54:37 PM
I've used to be a fan of the NBA but not anymore.  The league is filled with entitled crybabies that make  over 10mil per year.  They go out and buy rolls royce cars and mansions while their own city has homeless people.

Its not their responsibility to feed the homeless people. They worked hard for what they have achieved. I remember there are number of NBA players who has been abandoned by their family, came from the poor family, and others cant even afford college without scholarships.
Are you not informed that NBA has charity, including individual NBA superstars have it. But, they cannot cover all the homeless people from their country.
If you dont like NBA anymore, then you are not forced to like it. NBA is a business after all.

Correct. But what he said at the first part may be true.
They are getting more sensitive now when it comes to physicality.
Worse is they want too muuch respect rather than do defense until the end of the game.

Remember that time last year when Clarkson threw the ball to a Utah player for dunking the ball at the last second of the game.

If you dont want others to get points then do defense.
They should really erase that kind of system with this players.
The game is still on and anyone can do anything as long as it is in the rule book.
That is just their own rule of showing respect but should not be happening. That is why most viewers are exiting the building once there is 20 point lead in and there is still 2 minutes of gametime.
6749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Investments Why Risky? on: October 05, 2018, 08:07:26 PM
The virtual product angle scare me. The fact that we can not feel or touch the products we are paying for and we can not trace most of the offices of the developers offering the ICO. Last year was great for ICO until people started scamming with it. People will continue to loose money until laws are put up to monitor ICOs. I have not been lucky with ICO because all my investment in it has be listed below the price of purchase.

The virtual product scares you and yet you are in bitcointalk.  Grin

Last year was a blast. No doubt about that but that is also because of the hype that happened with major crypto currencies. Bitcoin, Ethereum, BCH and more. When I say major though, it is the most supported by people. I do not say they are all that great than bitcoin.

Now with that hype includes the price of every token that is under ERC20 of Ethereum which is also being boosted in price.
You can but like small amount of tokens for 1 Ethereum because of it. They even put "0.1" Ethereum as the minimum to buy the token.
Now, that is just $21-22 which I dont think can be a minimum for buying their tokens.  Grin

Another key is their roadmap. Most of the early ICO have been for a year so they are almost halfway their roadmap and success could be seen already.

But now, you wont see much patience with a lot of investors. They want their money back just after the ICO! That is ridiculous. You will see who are not reading the whitepaper before investing.
6750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 05, 2018, 06:55:36 PM

Even with LeBron James, the Lakers will miss the NBA playoffs this season. Here’s why.

All I can say is, the pointers are good and have an interesting details.

HOWEVER.. it's really early to say that. The article pointed out that Warriors, Rockets, Jazz, OKC and Spurs seems to be the top 4 and Lakers, Nuggets, Pelicans, Timberwolves, Blazers and Clippers will be fighting each other at last 3 slot (top 6 to Cool. How sure they was these teams will maintained the position? I mean they only based this standings from the last season's record which is not a good basis for now since some teams did some revamp to their respective lineup.

But honestly it's not really surprisingly for me if Lakers will end up out on the playoffs. LeBron landed on a team that is not even a finals contender so I don't really understand why people are all eyes in Lakers and they really spend time to work on an article like that. Smiley Looks like those who are saying that Lakers will not be able to stand strong on the West are really considering Lakers as a threat.

Okay that made me laugh a little.
Are they really following all the trades that had happened?

You are right. They are basing on what happened last year. Why not Lakers and yet Spurs and will be there? They lose Kawhi too and ended up getting DeRozan who made a lot of errors in the playoffs.
They did not even look at Pelicans who might have lost Rondo but they still have Davis. How about Dallas too?

They are just doing it for something to write without real basis.
That is Lebron James in there. The Lebron James whom I think is not aging.  Grin

Are they basing at pre-season games?  That will be a good joke though.
6751  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it safe to store Bitcoin in such a company? on: October 05, 2018, 04:45:31 PM
This is one old trick for a scam.
Once I saw this kind of offer using Australian dollar. They say you will just have to deposit the certain kind of currency and then you will get a percentage in return once another user loaned the money you have deposited.

Don't fall for it. If you really want to invest with something like that then, be really careful. See to it that the person running it have funds also in case something bad happens.
6752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attitudes towards Becoming a Successful Bounty Hunter on: October 04, 2018, 11:19:34 PM
Those are the must do.
I mean they are mandatory.

Does someone really need to posts that here just so to inform every users here that this is not just an ordinary gaming forum?

Yes it is to share your thoughts and opinions but because of money coming in, standards will also come.

He just listed it. New bounty hunters should try it or else it will be another shit poster who doesnt even give a shit about the forum and the people in it.
6753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next bull run is coming on: October 04, 2018, 08:58:10 PM
People are quite optimistic about the year end. I think that investment from other assets will start flowing in cryptos near last quarter of the year. I expect a bullish season to start from October this year with peak in December. But try to take the maximum advantage of bear market by playing in future market or doing short term trades.

Moreover, If we analyze past charts of Bitcoin as it is the oldest currency, there have been pumps in the last quarter of the year.
No need to compare last year's results with what we expect until the end of 2018. Situations are completely different and the cryptocurrency market has started to behave inadequately since the beginning of the year.

Agree with that.
It is way too different now.
We may want to think of a new analysis about what is happening now.
Why the sudden calm move of bitcoin price. What is really happening out there?
Are altcoins really that much in number and they do not see bitcoin now as a good crypto currency?

Those questions which answers are difficult to find for there are too much exchanges by now.
6754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 04, 2018, 07:27:36 PM
Rondo will be a great addition to the Lakers.  He has been one of the most underrated NBA players of the last 10 years. His contribution to the 2008 celtic's championship run often gets overlooked because of the big three.  This guy is a triple double machine and he provides great defense.  His downfall has always been his outside shooting but with his current team, he has others to carry the offensive load.

I believe that.
He had that kind of skill of a real pointguard unlike others who do scores a lot.

I know the pre-season was just like a tune up game to them but you can see there how Rondo really plays. He is a passer and there is no doubt about that.
The good thing here is he have good catchers all over the floor. Lebron could catch anywhere and McGee with high passes.
6755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A tip for choosing the exchange. on: October 04, 2018, 05:45:38 PM
Exchanges establish their own fees. The fees are different not only between exchanges but sometimes between different trading pairs on the same exchange. Use a free service like Switchain to compare rates between a few different exchanges for each individual transaction.

There are custodial and non-custodial exchanges. Put simply, the first ones hold onto your assets that you leave with them which is what makes it vulnerable. Once it's hacked there's nothing you can do but watch. Non-custodial ones only hold your assets for the time necessary to complete the exchange.

Hope this helped.

And mostly what happens is they stay in the exchange to avoid the large transaction fees.
The problem is they will get something out of your trade and then they will take another from your withdrawal.
Miners fee + others. Can't they just change it into dynamic mode? One of the questions I have been trying to look for answers.

Another is like HitBtc which is a robbery. Deposit fees. Ergh. That is just too much if you add the payment that you will have to do from all that little move you made.  Cry
6756  Economy / Economics / Re: Who controls the market? on: October 04, 2018, 03:52:36 PM
Remember, this whole thing about crypto is largely decentralized, thus, there is no single authoritative body in control of the crypto market. Although there are few centralized platforms among crypto, the market is largely influenced by the efforts and influence of the users of crypto. How well sellers and buyers treat the coins on the market affect the performance of the market.

True.
If you could just see new tokens being played at the market once they hit the exchange.
It suddenly falls to a value that is like a dust.

If also you could see how much group of traders are trying to force a new token to be listed in a better exchange. They will abuse it as much as possible for the early entry. Buying and pumping then selling back without even thinking of other holders.
Happens over and over again.

Other thing that could control the market could be the Exchange themselves. They need money to pay their employees. Selling this cryptos will be regular to them.
6757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 years anniversary, what good news are you expecting come 2019?. on: October 04, 2018, 02:03:48 PM
Merchants accepting bitcoin as means of payment. I mean a lot of them are open to the idea of it.

In this era we all want speed so we can have spare time with our family but the answer had been revealed and yet no one uses it.

The traditional ways are still greater than the new ones. People are getting slow to adjust or adapt with thid new kind of technology. It is reslly simple, laziness just always win.

I dont want good news just for bitcoin but instead for the world. People laziness being deleted.
6758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Weekend pump or dump? on: October 03, 2018, 11:20:18 PM
In previous weeks we experienced crypto dumped during the weekends and seldomly pumps. What do you think will happen this week?

It was before that it pumps during weekends like bitcoin jumping 500 dollars in just minutes.
I see a sudden change too but when weekdays comes back the price also goes back which is really a good one for traders.

But if I were you I wont base it to that. A sudden change might happen and you dont want to get caught by it.

Good thing for me I just HODL. Grin
6759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 03, 2018, 09:00:57 PM
I think this happens every year.
They are just more agitated now since it is Lebron who left Cavaliers and then a sudden move to the Lakers.
Seriously, it is expected to happen. Same goes when he left Cavs too for Miami. This is the same reaction from the people.
Trying to take him down because he aint loyal to one team.

That is comedy on the highest level. Grin
Same goes for KD after he pushed himself to GSW for those championships.

I think it was GSW at that year who had enough cap to get KD to their team.
Well, we could say he really does want a championship that bad and he seems to not see it while staying at OKC.
He got 2 championships now and he might not stop to get more.

By the looks of what happened with 2018 championship KD was the one who made it possible for the GSW to go through the playoffs.
Curry was injured with a lot of games and same for other players. They got the right timing of injuries.  Grin
6760  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediciton markets on: October 03, 2018, 07:55:34 PM
Today I listened to a podcast that spoke about the prediction markets (the podcast was in the "Everything EOS", I was trying to learn about that chain, but they also spoke about this other topic).

So, the argument was that prediction markets were able to align the need of the people that were informed and prepared with the interests of the average Mike out there. So this is how:

- It has been proven that recurring to predictions in groups is quite successful when trying to predict results or events. For example, the winner of a race, the next president, etc...
- In prediction markets you have to "put your money where your mouth is". So you donīt simply say that "The L.A. Lakers will win", you also put a collateral, a bet basically on it.

That means that only people who have some idea of what is going on will "stake" and they will for sure try to get it right.

The only "coin" I know that deals with this is Augur, and I am interested in knowing about others.

But remember that it is still a prediction.
There is always a possibility for it to go the other way which happens much that is why people are getting confused with what they will support.

Stakes or bet. Yes, the one who believes in one project and talks about it too much means he might have some bet for it or there is already money included and he needs to keep on doing it just so to pull more investors or others that could also do the same thing as how he does it.
Again with a "but", be careful with FUD or fake news. It could just be one way to pump a token or a coin so that he could get out.

In the end, it is your choice. Just do be careful on picking one. Anything could happen in the crypto world.
