6761  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Chinese New Year boost crypto market cap? on: February 12, 2018, 11:43:01 PM
I think prices will boom again after the end of Chinese new year celebrations.
China is on of the biggest countries and have a big impact on the cryptocurrency market. Such phenomenon happens every year and we see the same pattern: prices drops then start to recover by the end of February, I hope the same will happen this year.
6762  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to overcome fear and doubt in bitcoin? on: February 12, 2018, 11:38:12 PM
If you want to make profit you have to take risks. Nothing is guaranteed, chances are 50 50 depending on your skills and choosing the right moment when to buy and when to sell.
People that panic easily are usually small investors that have a small amount of money and just want to see it grow fastly, but big whales  always have planB in case things don't go well.
6763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stabilizes? on: February 12, 2018, 11:27:44 PM
I think this stability will not last for long time and prices will surge soon.
As you mentioned many factors caused this temporary stabilization because bitcoiners are afraid and they do not buy or sell, we don't see a big traffic as usual.
Every one is waiting for things to be more clear before making any move.

T'as raison et t'as pas tord.
6772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: History of bitcoin prices! on: February 11, 2018, 11:43:46 PM
The only conclusion I can have is that Bitcoin will survive for long time despite the ups and downs but no one can predict what will happen next whether it will surge or it will go down.
For sure it will rise, but when? I can't tell from the table you gave to us.
6773  Other / Off-topic / Re: The evergreen question, Will Bitcoin survives in future? on: February 11, 2018, 11:37:52 PM

This becomes the most asking question in the forum that bitcoin will survive in future?
with regular interval of 2 days, someone asks this question?
I am not against you because this is the purpose of this forum to answer all the question having any doubt about bitcoin, This is your right.
I am not up to this level that i will give you answer of this question that bitcoin survives or not? There are panel of experts( hero, legenday members) who are connected with this since its launch.
They know the the bitter and sweet truth of Bitcoin.
But i am damn sure that If there is the existence of bitcoin in future,This is the best question can be asked by anyone in future & will be asked repeatedly.
LOL!

And they will never stop asking the same question again and again, it is really annoying but can't blame them especially new members that want to be reassured about their investments.
Bitcoin is here to stay and will not disappear easily.
This question is always asked when Bitcoin price start to fall and people start panicking.
6774  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most reliable wallet on: February 11, 2018, 11:19:46 PM
That depends whether you are a holder or a trader also it depends on the coins you have.
Generally, hardware wallets are the best and the most secure.
Here you will find more details about wallets and which to choose:

6775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems dead as a currency. Be welcome to share your thoughts on: February 11, 2018, 11:02:16 PM
Lol @ the Mr. Robot reference!

In a nutshell, you should consider creating a SegWit-enabled address and start using it to transact bitcoins. I've sent several super-low transaction fees for my past several payments, mainly to test the network... And they've all cleared within the first few blocks after initiating the transactions.

As SegWit-enabled wallets become more commonly adopted by Bitcoin users, it should help with the network congestion. While the effects are pretty minuscule now, I can only imagine what would happen if the large exchanges like Coinbase and Bitfinex and Binance were to implement SegWit wallets...

As far as how "dead" it is as a currency? I pay my rent monthly with Bitcoin. I top up my phone with Bitcoin. I purchase food at restaurants (locally here in Belize, of all places) with Bitcoin. I use it on a regular basis, so I don't know about you, but I'm using Bitcoin as it was originally intended. Yes, I absolutely believe that the fees can and should be lower, but I assure you that it is alive and well, my friend. Smiley

Oh, and welcome back to the forums. Congrats on your new find!

Segwit is the best solution right now, when you use a segwit enabled address, fees will not be a big problem. Though, not many wallets support it.
OP, if you knew about Bitcoin for long time as you said, you can't say it is dead. All problems will be solved and Bitcoin will rise again.
6776  Other / Meta / Re: Merits for starting up a new & good topic should be generated automatically on: February 11, 2018, 10:43:15 PM
The merit system is not perfect and I saw many good posts and comments but they didn't receive any merit points while some stupid posts got ones (maybe from their friends or alts)
Your idea will not solve the problem, any member can start a thread insulting another member in it or accusing a member, such threads attract viewers but they don't deserve to be merited.
6777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on market manipulation? on: February 11, 2018, 10:25:43 PM
Big whales are influencing the Bitcoin market and they detrmine the price.
Bitcoin technology is not outdated and as you mentioned the lightning network and other improvements helped to solve major problems.
Besides, the majority of Bitcoin users are small traders and can be easily manipulated.
6778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any prediction for the Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2018, 10:15:12 PM
Even the greatest oracle can't predict what will be the value of bitcoin.
It is simply unpredictble, and any one who says the contrary is a liar and an imposter.
Maybe big whales can manipulate prices but they can't control all the cryptocurrency market.
6779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung is going to support bitcoin on: February 11, 2018, 02:09:01 PM
"Samsung to support bitcoin"

Now we are at that time that people try and pump the price. They are making chips, but not supporting bitcoin. They dont accept it, they are not donating to a bitcoin charity, they are not paying millions to educate people. Simply making a product that bitcoin users can use.

https://www.coindesk.com/samsung-confirms-its-now-making-cryptocurrency-mining-chips/

That is correct, as all successful industrial companies their purpose is to make profit, they construct what people need.
The commercial responsible at Samsung know that there is a big demand on mining hardware and producing it will be a lucrative.
But we can't deny the fact that such news will boost Bitcoin.
6780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Please write something useful on: February 11, 2018, 12:00:05 AM
Hi all,
I don't  know what to say but I see many topics started by newbies and even old members without any value, just asking questions that have been answered thousands of times.
Please use search before posting anything, maybe you will find what you are looking for.
If another member writed a satisfying answer, just send him a merit point (without repeating his answer).
Do not discuss the same topic over and over again.
That is all, I had to say it because what I read is making me angry.
