6761  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy more? wait till 6000 or 5500? on: June 24, 2018, 09:07:21 PM
Technical Analysis or not, with the current price of below $6K, it would be really a good opportunity to enter because its quite cheap. And this is what everyone is really hoping, to see the price at levels that everyone is comfortable of buying, although as investors, we wanted to see it grow, but sometimes having this kind of price movement is really good because the price is at a discount and those who are waiting can get inside and purchase it.
6762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC: where is the market going on: June 19, 2018, 01:32:18 AM
It may break $6400 support in few days but whether it will go below $6000 or not is the real question so your predictions is not very useful for me because if it go below $6000 things will change.

I won't agree with your point. Now the price is started to increase again,t hen how you think the price will reduce again. It was a unacceptable one.It may be reduction after tomorrow. When there is green mark,it will continue atleast for two days. Now Bitcoin is become a strongest asset .

Yes, the price has somewhat recovered and has crossed $6700 if I'm not mistaken, whether is a good sign I don't know. What we all know is that the market is really free falling by now and maybe the OP is correct that we might see the price sliding a bit further as there as no strong support. What we all witness is that day traders and whales will suddenly pump the market and will take the profits whenever they can. At least getting to $10K will be safe for us, but the road going there is really difficult as of the moment.
6763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin and the ICO on: June 17, 2018, 10:25:15 PM
the huge amounts of new ICOS that arise every month could be hurting the price of bitcoin? you who think about the ICO?

I don't think that it can affect the price of bitcoin. Its much riskier to put your money in ICO rather than bitcoin. So as a investors, I will still stick to bitcoin and have most of my money on it than ICO that can turn into a scam at the end. What really hurt bitcoin is the attacks from governments and regulations around the world. Plus some ICO doesn't really give that much returns as well as least say investing on bitcoin. So with that said, ICO doesn't have significant effect on the price of bitcoin.
6764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason for recent dips? on: June 17, 2018, 10:00:34 PM
The market always moves like ocean waves, growth alternates fall and Vice versa.

I like this description however the reason of having those waves is bid and ask.
If we have more people buying than selling then the price goes up and vice versa Smiley
Some panic selling however could happen from time to time because of bad news  Undecided

Same old news that are causing the market to dip. FUDs, fake news, global regulations and another exchange being hacked. Of course the demand is low by now because no one wants to buy it because they are afraid of what's going on with the market. Some even panic sells, causing the price to bottom again at $6K.

But at the current price, I wonder why people are not purchasing, it quiet cheap and at a discount. If I just have the funds last week wherein the price is $6K, I have bought at least 1 BTC. But the timing is very wrong because I went out and go on vacation and spend some money.
6765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not blindly trust telegram trading signals. on: June 17, 2018, 09:30:54 PM
Many of the telegram groups which give signals are run by the same people, I have noticed on multiple occasions of the groups giving the same signals. Many of the groups also conduct coordinated pump and dumps, and they usually send it in all the groups to gather a greater audience. Although some of the signals turn out to be correct, always do your own research before making a trade.

Thanks for the warning but yeah, this Telegram trading signals are close to scammers. They enticed members to join their group in order to build a large audience, however, it usually doesn't give you what they promised. I also joined groups, many groups just to try and get to feel on how this group operates. Its exciting to see the coordination among them but at the end I didn't the promise returns will not be realized because only the admins and close members just benefited from this signals.
6766  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think will happen in august ? on: June 16, 2018, 11:18:46 PM
Hello, what do you think will happen in august ? Now is it a good time time to buy, I have some altcoin like exrnchain, eos, litecoin I think this will boom in august, what do you think ?

No one can say what August will bring to us. Actually June was touted to bring us the break out run that we needed, unfortunately, it turn out to be one of the worst month because we touch the bottom again and I think its all-time-low for this year ($6K). So I'm still not convince that we are going to see the market goes to $10K which we all wanted to see.

So all I can say is that I hope that we can go and break the 5 digit barrier again so that we are still in the target for at least a good $13K-$15K at the end of the year. But at the back of my head, I wouldn't put too much expectations as I don't want to be disappointed or frustrated in the end.
6767  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What is the most critical moments in Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin history on: June 16, 2018, 10:42:14 PM
Happiest moment for all of us: Bitcoin reaches its peak at almost $20K, Everyone has very happy around the last quarter of 2017 because everything is going our way. Lots of people making tons of money out of crypto.

Saddest moments: When we hear a exchange being hacked, government banning, regulations.

Personally, saddest moment for me is when I lost my private key for a chunk of my bitcoin way back 2011-2012. It's around 10 BTC so its really hard for me to take that lost. However, I already move on and almost got back on track to hit that number again.
6768  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-15] Thomas Lee: Weakness in Bitcoin Is Caused by Futures Expiration on: June 16, 2018, 09:24:12 PM
I'm not convinced. The Bitcoin futures market is small. I'm not an expert, but it seems to me that it would cost more money to drive the price down 18% than would be gained by the investment in futures.

This was my initial thoughts too, but I am not so sure about this anymore. These guys know how to game the system and they will never risk more than they will lose. I think the SEC investigations might shed some light on the levels of manipulation that are going on in the USA Future market soon.

I actually want them to expose the people behind this manipulation, so that we can finally know if it is whales or Wall Street types.  Roll Eyes

For me the bitcoin future contracts may have somewhat dampen the interest of most investors though. They caused the needed hype that push the price to almost $20K, but they could have somewhat triggered as well this bear market.

I still remember that when they entered the market suddenly went into being "stable", however, that's obvious reason to think that something might have drastically change the landscape because after that we all know what happens to the market.
6769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spreading Wealth to poor areas through bounties. on: June 15, 2018, 07:03:25 PM
Someone is teaching women in Afghanistan how to collect bounties, I believe it's a wonderful thing and  proof of the wealth that can be distributed to people and in ways we hadn't thought possible. I've been thinking about doing something similar and adding airdrops were I live, Medellin, Colombia, specifically for people who don't have much, I'm starting a run trial with someone form the area, and wanted to see if any one had any pointers, or ideas, so far the limitations I've found are language (trying to use google translate), tech availability (looking for close by libraries, and looking to set up as much as I can to be done using a simple smartphone).
Any input would be much appreciated.

Care to share the link? I wanted to see the specifics on it that's why I wanted to see the source. Of course, its really heart warming to see someone trying to help the poor, but I don't think that bounties can somewhat alleviate their needs.

First barrier that I see is the infrastructure, do you have a good internet connection? and yes language barriers will be a big hurdle for them assuming they don't speak that much English and we all know that most members here frown shit posters. But if you have really good intentions then why not? Maybe at the end, it may bear fruits. Goodluck to your new endeavor.
6770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction price Bitcoin on: June 15, 2018, 06:23:18 PM
thats good to hear, but whats upsetting me is the market in crypto, huge transaction pay to be paid before withdrawing.

I really don't understand what you are saying here? Ever since the market went into a bear market, transactions fees decrease as well, maybe its because more bitcoin users are Segwit or trading exchanges are batching withdrawals now.

So I don't know what's upsetting you right now as the mempool is not clogged and you can withdraw anytime and its very quick. Maybe you are complaining about the trading fee that this exchanges.  The trading fees usually range between 0.1% to 0.25%, but it can be up to 1% of the trading amount. So better read their TOS so you will understand and not whine about it.
6771  Economy / Economics / Re: Germany recognized the bitcoin on: June 02, 2018, 11:45:33 AM
If Germany has recognized the currency as bitcoin, then other EU countries should also do it.
In practice, this means that the civilized world in the near future is moving to a crypto-currency financial system.

I doubt that other EU members should follow suit as well, although that's what we really wanted. Remember back in G20 summit in Buenos Aires, EU members are talking about putting regulations on it and even Germany and France was pushing for a single regulatory body back then.

So we have to wait till July about the final decision of the G20 members. But I have doubts that EU countries will just change their tune because Germany recognises bitcoin. That's not how it works, each nation has its own crypto regulations and as much as we really hope that every nation would be bitcoin friendly, in reality there will still be countries that will opposed it.
6772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC back to $6000 ? on: May 31, 2018, 11:57:27 PM
The trend is very similar to 2016, so yes I expect it to go back to 6k in June. It won't go lower though

Care to share some TA of yours saying that it will go back to $6K again? The last bottom was around $6500 but we didn't touch it eventhough we went from as high as $10K down to $7100. So it really means that it will not go back to $6K because their is a strong buy support around $7K.

Unless there's some news that we didn't know that you have inside information, So please kindly share it to us so we might see it otherwise your prediction is just another FUD.
6773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SCAM! on: May 29, 2018, 06:03:17 PM
Bitcoin is not a scam it is a digital crypto currency. But some other people used bitcoin to scam that is why many people believe that it is a scam. I think we need to research more about bitcoin for us to become more satisfied of our investment. Bitcoin is really amazing I believe that we can gain on it in the near future.

Yep, it is being used by hackers and criminals and exploited its psuedo anonymous features to scam people. And its a phenomena to say the least. Everyday we will hear a lot of news about those scammers racking millions of dollars and taking it from unsuspecting victims.

That's why we need to be careful but its not bitcoin's fault because for most of us is really a good way put our money in their as a investment and watch it grow overtime.
6774  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price lowest this month on: May 28, 2018, 08:47:52 PM
I am actually quite impressed with how the market manages to stay above the $7000 level. There is literally no support at all -- the only reason the market is holding it above $7000 is because of deep pockets not willing to let it fall more (which of course doesn't mean it won't be happening). Another thing is that the volatility has decreased in terms of its range, which is quite an achievement as well. If a dump occurs the red candle looks massive, but when I have a closer look, that candle only represents a $250'ish move, where usually these swings represented +$500 moves. The smaller these swings become, the more difficult it gets for the average trader to profit.

Right. Its really resilient to see the price above $7K because everyone is writing bitcoin off and saying that it will go down below $6K but up to know its holding so its a good sign that it won't go down as what others been expecting of it.

But I wouldn't just rest on my laurels, as this is another good buying point for everyone. So its going to be a waiting game again for most of us. It might be the lowest this month, but we can go and bounce back in June.
6775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Main reason for the price drop on: May 28, 2018, 05:08:24 AM
I read some news this last week, and there is some indication of wash trading and spoofing going on, so the prices are dropping.

Do you think this is the reason, or the movements of the market are normal ?

Main reason is that US Department of Justice is doing an investigation of price manipulation like fake volumes and spoofing as you have mentioned, that's why the price suddenly drops. So you all know that this market is based on speculation so any negative news will really affected the market.

One thing to remember though is that as time goes by, eventually we will recover from this kind of negative news and bounce back stronger but it will take some time though.
6776  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell Crypto in May and Buy Low in June on: May 27, 2018, 08:22:53 PM
How is he so sure what the price will be during those months ?

He is just basing everything on TA mate, but we all know that most of the time, TA is not applicable in this kind of market because the price can move in the opposite direction. What we can really do is just sit back and wait. Most of time is this situation there is nothing to worry about and don't make things complicated on your end.

Its just either you buy at this dip and hold and wait, or do nothing. So I just prefer laid back style for now, don't do anything stupid and just wait till it bounce back before making any move.
6777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: many altcoin price are natural level on: May 27, 2018, 06:36:47 PM
one week over many altcoin still natural level . like us if you see binance many altcoin price some shatoshi up and down . but day by day price going dump bcz bitcoin going dump . i am holder , and i wish in june all cryptocurrency will pumping. what do you think?

We can only wish that the price could at least be at the stable price around June. However, there's no assurance for that and that is why you should always check the market because we all know that its very volatile and can change a lot in matter of minutes.

So for me there's no assurance that the price will be good around June. I advise you to just be vigilant and use your due diligence and study the coins that you have invested and see potential for the price to pick up specially around the end of the year where all coins are usually pump.
6778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitter truth behind the market crash on: May 27, 2018, 06:02:02 PM
those analysis were very true that some of people with zero of knowledge buy bitcoin when the price was very high but they looks never thinking the risk with buy bitcoin at high price and when the price gradually fall some of them decide to sold all of their bitcoin and being parts of panic sellers which made the price difficult to rise up again but not all bitcoin users have bad habit such as that because i saw in my country there was some people can utilize bitcoin price movement with became an professional traders and being rich

Yep, I also agree with some of the analysis. Specially around December when there was a lot of newbies and irrational buyers who suddenly flocks the ecosystem and buying at peak price and thinking that the growth will continue to around $50K. They thought that this market is a quick rich scheme.

However, when the market started to crash, they immediately get out because they are losing so much and never come back again. Its a expensive lesson to learn, but I guess everybody should learn from this mistakes and move on.
6779  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 8base Team Wins First Prize at Consensus 2018 Hackathon ,  AlphaPoint Challenge! on: May 19, 2018, 05:48:30 AM
Yes, congrats to 8base and it sure one of the best experience so far. I'm pretty sure that this is a big boost to your company as well and probably can get you more clients in the future. Question though:

  • What are you plans with this appliation though
  • If you have plans to roll this out, will it be more beneficial for individual, or is it design to be used by institutional investors only?

Thank you for the kind words! As for the hackathon project, this application was intended to give a preview into what blockchain can bring to finance in the near future, as per the hackathon challenge. In order to become a real product, whether consumer or institutional, there is more work that needs to be completed on it. Currently, the main priority of our dev team is building the core 8base platform. The team might get back to the BlockSigma project in the future if we feel there is a demand for such solutions among the 8base user base.

To stay in the loop with what we're releasing, join us on: Telegram | Twitter !

Thanks for the clarification, so it looks like you already scratch the surface so most likely this is just the beginning of something big. And I'm sure that at the back of your mind, sooner or later you are going to release a full version whether of consumer or institutional used as there will be likely a demand for such solutions. Goodluck!!!
6780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More than 20 % in one day on: May 19, 2018, 05:17:37 AM
When there is a positive news, obviously the coins that jump exponentially and can even get above 20% in a day. In this case, its Binance coins, we all know that Binance is the number trading platform today so I'm not surprised by the jump, but it is sustainable? remains to be seen as most of us are aware of a pump-and-dump scheme.

@BlackPanda, yeah for popular coins a 2 digit increased is really good for the coins ecosystem. We have witnessed this as well in the past and its one of the most exciting days for traders, sadly though this bear market has totally change everything but we are still hoping that a sudden jump can still happen in the future.
