6781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Dark Web, Drugs and Government. on: January 31, 2020, 11:18:01 AM
~
I'm not with the these drug syndicates but TBH, they are already late when it comes to the new technology.

In some countries, there are many syndicates that are already using cryptocurrency to buy anything from drugs to guns to gruesome videos etc.
Now I'm thinking, these drug syndicates will push the government to know anything about cryptocurrencies since our government isn't involved in anything related to crypto. Philippine government will be aware that these kind of things are existing and it is because of these syndicates. The problem is that they can't stop them from transacting to other people to buy but they can stop them from spreading the drugs to the pushers.

I'm not against the war on drugs by our President and I see that the government right now is giving more time to drugs compare to our previous administration however, it is not enough to stop all of these. Drugs are already spread across the country and to stop it, I don't see any solution to it. It is like a virus that has already spread nationwide and there is no cure for it.
6782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why are exchanges still listing shitcoins? on: January 30, 2020, 02:04:28 PM
~
I can't wait to hear your thoughts!
Money.

It is a win-win situation for both the shitcoin team and the exchange. How? The exchange will charge the owner of the shitcoin to give them a certain amount of Bitcoin in exchange of listing them on their exchange. More popular exchange = Higher listing price.

Now if the team's shitcoin got listed on an exchange, chances are they can do a pump and dump on it especially if it is on a popular exchange since many traders are using their exchange and there will be some traders who will trade their coin too. In this way, they can get more profit into it and when the time comes that they've had enough they will delist the coin and after that abandon it. Not all are doing it but most of them are doing it.
6783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest winning so far on: January 30, 2020, 01:44:19 PM
That is a huge money to win in gambling right there. You have the guts to put a huge amount of money just to win huge amount of money too.

That is some one in a million luck right there Cheesy. Although you won that huge right now, I will just hope that you may be able to control yourself and will choose to cash out some of your profits including a bit of your capital.
When I'm still gambling, my largest winning is that when I bet on the opposing team on a basketball event. I put a certain amount as my fund and bet it on the opposing team and my expected winning is 3x my starting capital. Luckily, I won on all of the bets so I tripled my funds and after that I pulled out all of my funds so that I can't use it all for betting. It is a small amount maybe for some but for me that is not a hardcore gambler, it is huge already. Cheesy.
6784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 30, 2020, 01:33:15 PM
Controlling emotions and imagination is not easy in gambling, I once imagined that if I succeeded in the jackpot then I would buy a car, motorcycle or other. This makes me even more excited to gamble and the negative side effects that arise when I cant control it are the more money I spend on betting without even realizing it.
Thinking in advance will make your adrenaline rush and will force you to put some money in gambling. Cheesy

This is quite funny TBH for me but it is the truth. You are saying things like "If you bet on lotto, I might win and after that I will buy a house and lot + a car and will use some to buy everything I want." This is the motto of most of the gamblers. They are thinking in advance and imagining that is why most of them ending up losing most of their money although there are some that are winning, the chances of it is very low.

Controlling yourself can help you win in gambling yes but if you control yourself to the point that you don't want to gamble anymore then good at least you don't have to risk your money into gambling.
6785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee called BITCOIN as a Shitcoin! on: January 30, 2020, 12:54:13 PM
Do we really need to give some attention this stupid shit? I don't think so.

He has many followers yes but what he is saying right now is just pure stupidity. He can just say things like this and things like that just like he is saying one two three to his friend. He can say anything about Bitcoin but the final decision will be on the followers and the investor who read his tweet. I don't want to spend any second reading his tweets too. I will just waste my time if I will do that.

On the other hand, for some experts it can consider a bullish move because if you are a contrarian.
6786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So a bitcoin scam has been getting a lot of publicity in the Philippines lately on: January 30, 2020, 12:30:02 PM
Yes, I know, it's a typical scam right? Why overreact? But unfortunately, a good number(or dare I say most) of filipinos are completely unaware on what ponzi schemes and other scams are, so the best thing we could possibly do is to possibly get these sites off the web to hopefully significantly decrease the potential damage that it can do to the masses.
That is why I considered schools as a scam. Why? Because they don't teach their students anything about financial literacy.

If people in our country have some knowledge regarding financial things and things like this scams and schemes then there will be lesser people that are got scammed. Unfortunately, we can't prevent them being scammed until they will not experience it.

Taking down these sites can decrease it but creating a site right now is very easy. They can just buy a domain and then use it for scamming again. The best thing to do right now is to spread information regarding these things.

6788  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Price Prediction, is it helpful or falsehope for us? on: January 29, 2020, 01:15:19 PM
Nakakatulong nga ba sa ating mga pilipino ang mga price prediction ng mga batikan at sabihin na nating magaling na mga investors sa bitcoin o isa lang itong falsehope o sa tagalog ay paasa?
Yes and No.

Isa pa, anything can happen in crypto. One time umaaasa ka na aaabot ng lets say $100,000 ang BTC pero un pala papuntang $1,000.
6789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Silence on: January 28, 2020, 01:27:33 PM
I want to give my opinion in every part that you said because we are experiencing almost the same but.. yeah.

I was criticized before about believing in bitcoin and its potential to become profitable as I do some work and browsing in some place where I usually work. By participating in this forum and trading using various exchanges, some of my colleagues, family, and friends ask me why I believe in a volatile currency that they consider a bubble, an investment that aims to fool people.
Fuck those who are doesn't have the right to criticize what you are doing. I know we are living in the same country and I know how our countrymen thinks. "THEY HAVE AN EMPLOYEE MINDSET AND NOT AN INVESTOR MINDSET" and that is the reason why some or most of the people you know are criticizing you. Fuck them and don't even listen to them. If you know that you are doing the right thing then just continue it.

I sticked in campaigns (particularly weekly campaigns) and save as many bitcoin as possible. I wait patiently and I think $9k market price is quite profitable already.
When I saw that altcoin bounty campaigns isn't profitable for me anymore then that is the time that I decided to try my luck in Bitcoin paid campaigns and then when yolodice accepted me, I decided to just focus on this campaign and not on altcoins anymore. For one and a half year, I focused on my current signature campaign since I saw that I can earn more Bitcoin here. Thanks to yolodice, I have earned some money to be used to invest into other investments like stocks and bonds.

So I help to pay bills in our home, buy necessary things I need, and support myself without the help of my parents. That is what other's saw in which I find an achievement. All criticism turns into opportunities that I am happy about as I've helped to induce market adoption in bitcoin.
When I started joining altcoin bounties, I have earned enough to buy my own smartphone.
When I started joining Bitcoin paid signature campaign, I have earned enough to buy my own computer and traveled with my couple last year.
I also started to give some money for my sister who is now studying.

Take all of their criticism to an inspiration and just focus on what you are doing as long as you are happy with it. I don't share what I'm doing since nobody will understand it so it will be useless even I share it.
6790  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over $9000! on: January 28, 2020, 01:01:47 PM
~
To be honest, I'm expecting a pullback again after reaching the 9000 mark and that price is considered the psychological resistance already.

An expert trader that I followed on youtube once said "The more times it hits the resistance or the support, the bigger the chance that it will go higher or lower than that resistance or support". For me, I would like to see another healthy pullback again and will again test the 9000 mark.

If you will see the chart (just see the original post because the image is too large to post Cheesy), it tested the 7000 price four times and it also went below that price but what happened the 5th time? It went up and now at the ~9000 price Cheesy. Please make another healthy pullback Cheesy
6791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 28, 2020, 12:51:43 PM
Even disregarding the money talks here, or even if I have a supernatural power of luck, I still don't see myself reaching my dreams through gambling. I mean it is not fulfilling like a decent profession can do. I would rather choose to work 7x a week as an engineer than be a gambler all year long Grin. Because life is not just all about money, doing what you love and what makes you happy is more important.
One word to describe the last words you said.
"PASSION".

If you love what you are doing then it is more important than money. If you don't love gambling then don't do it. If your passion is gambling then do whatever it takes just to do it because you love it. I'd rather also work IRL and browse the forum than using my hard earned money in gambling. I'd rather invest it into different investments than investing it in gambling.
6792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 28, 2020, 12:38:14 PM

They just became an "overrated team" because they acquired Clarkson and their record became better after acquiring him but take note that when Clarkson isn't on the Jazz, they are at the bottom spot (around 5-8).
One thing more is that Rockets are just better in this game than the Jazz and they are more aggressive right now because they are playing on the road.

If Harden and Westbrook can do it, Gordon can do it too. I hope that this is the start for him to contribute more in terms of scoring and let Westbrook and Harden do the passing since both of them are good at it.
6793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On most altcoins disappearing on: January 27, 2020, 12:31:04 PM
Many of us are wondering what would happen if crypto vanished altogether (and probably having jitters at such a thought). Well, I'm not that cruel, and only propose to discuss the less evil problem, if a problem at all.
I'm optimistic when it comes to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general but to be honest, I'm still thinking that there is a chance that it will happen (around 0.00001% maybe or lower). Its not cruelty to be honest but it is thinking of both sides and take note that a coin has 2 sides and it can be applied here Smiley.

As I'm inclined to think, a few remaining coins would benefit dramatically. My train of thought is as follows. We can  plausibly claim that Bitcoin would be far better off now if not for the huge pile of shitcoins that turned out outright scams at the end of the day. People wouldn't have lost their money in these schemes, and they wouldn't lose it if they invested it in Bitcoin instead. Simple and straightforward logic, right?
They are predicting that 90% or more of the altcoins in the market right now will be vanished in the future because of lack of marketing, support and liquidity in exchanges. Some altcoins right now are turning into scam especially those new projects that is why many investors don't want to invest in new projects. I'd rather like that most of the altcoins right now will be vanish because to be honest, most of them are totally useless. People are just creating coins for profit.
6794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 27, 2020, 12:03:03 PM
The last timr I read anything about Kobe was when Lebron passing him in the NBA all-time list of most points and now I read the news about him and his daughter passing away in a helicopter crash in New York. They were with another player and a parent.

Damn, tragic things can happen at any moment. RIP to the Balck Mamba and Mambacita. The Legend Lives!

edit:
It was great to watch the teams opening the games with 8-second backcourt violation and then the 24-second shooting violation
Oh Damn!!!!!

A sad day for us Basketball fans. Even you are a Kobe fan or not as long as you are playing basketball and you watched how this legend played inside the court, you will feel terribly sad with what happened this day Sad. I'm not that good in basketball but I'm an avid basketball fan so when I wake up in the morning and browsed at Facebook, I was shocked when I saw this on my timeline. I thought for a second that this was just a fake but as I scroll down, I saw this different articles regarding to the tragedy that happened.

As they say "Enjoy every second of your life because you don't know when you will be gone". A legend will be live forever in our hearts Sad.

I'm curious on how will the LA Lakers will be in their next home game. I just saw that their next game will be against the Clippers. 2 LA teams will face.
6795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waiting for the rise of all altcoins on: January 25, 2020, 02:49:35 PM
I believe that the time will come, slowly the altcoin starts to crawl up now and my hope is that by the end of the year it will be like this last year. The number of short positions fell to a historic low. This suggests that the bears have exhausted their strength, and perhaps soon we will see the growth! I hope so.
Well, many are expecting that an altcoin season will start this year and yes it can happen and it cannot too but if it will happen, I don't think that it will be the same as what happened last 2017. I'm not pessimistic with regards to altcoins but I still believe that most of the altcoins out there will end up either being a scam coin or a dead coin Wink.

I don't want to expect too much especially the altcoin season but if this will happen then well and good Cheesy.
6796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 100% scam projects on: January 25, 2020, 02:30:40 PM
There is no need to name drop here but at least thanks for sharing 2 of the scam coins (for you).

To be honest, I joined the bounty program of HBZ (translation) and got paid by it and fortunately their coin got a value where I sold 60% of my total rewards in the campaign which I used to buy my own phone. I sold my remaining holdings of HBZ when the coin pump at least it is 100% pure profit since I didn't invest a single penny from it.

I don't consider HBZ as a scam coin at this moment but more on a dead coin for me. The price of it goes down very hard and they are updating right now (I think since I don't visit their social media sites anymore). Anyway, it is good that some of the users out here have time to share the scam projects that they know and I hope that no one here got scammed by these projects.
6797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still possible to invent certain Altcoin that can be better than Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2020, 02:21:11 PM
As the subject goes, can we expect the newly developed Altcoin that can go beyond Bitcoin?
Can you please elaborate it Smiley.

In terms of transaction speed, there are so many altcoins already that has surpassed Bitcoin.
In terms of fees, there are many altcoins too that have lower fees compare to Bitcoin.
In terms of technology, probably there are some who has a better tech than Bitcoin.

There is only one thing that altcoins can't get easily but Bitcoin has it already. Trust. This is why Bitcoin is still on the top of the market. Many people trusted Bitcoin already that is why they are posting it and the fact that it is the first cryptocurrency to be created, it is being used by different exchanges, merchants etc.

In conclusion, any altcoin can surpass Bitcoin in different aspects but they can't beat the trust to Bitcoin.
6798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub launches payments in stablecoin Tether on: January 25, 2020, 02:01:09 PM
When Verge announced that they have been partnered with Pornhub, the coin pumped and then dumped immediately after the announcement has been broadcast online. I still remember this event because this is also the time that I lost half of my funds in trading because I got FOMO'ed with it. STUPID VERGE COIN.

Now they are accepting Tether which is I think better compare to that shitcoin Verge at least they are showing signs that they are accepting cryptocurrencies in their site. Although this is a good news, the market isn't affected by this news for some reasons but still I don't care about it because I'm not paying a single penny just to watch this videos as I can watch it for free Cheesy.
6799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven for Your Money? on: January 25, 2020, 01:25:36 PM
Btcoin has demonstrated to be a store of value and it is definitely a safe haven for any fiat. If there is any bad news like war, what big institution rely on is to convert their capital into Bitcoin which makes it act like a safe haven
I disagree with this.

Many knows that Bitcoin is very volatile and is more volatile than the stock market. There are no investments that is considered "Safe Haven" since all of them have risk. It will depend on the investor if how  much money he can risk in his investments. There are no safe haven investments so to answer your question "Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven". My answer is no. Bitcoin can give you huge profits in the short run compare to other investments like stocks and bonds but at the same time, it can give you huge losses too if the price of Bitcoin goes down very hard or your positioning is bad.
6800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Crypto on: January 25, 2020, 12:54:48 PM
Bitcoin and crypto in general helped me a lot within these past 2 years.

Since I joined here, I already earned a lot from bounty campaigns and because of campaigns I bought my dream phone which is the one I'm using right now. Unfortunately, I stopped participating on Bounty campaigns already (altcoins) since I see that it is not profitable anymore.

Now I focused on my current signature campaign and I'm already here for almost 2 years. It helped me a lot since I have to cover some of my monthly expenses and I can give some money to my family and siblings thru converting my Bitcoin to fiat. I'm able to bought my own computer too last month with the help of my current signature campaign. Thanks to them and to Bitcoin and this forum Smiley
