6781  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: E10 drops to 12TH on: May 10, 2019, 07:52:45 PM
Have you tried to reset it? If not yet follow the procedure below.

- You can find the reset button right side of the ethernet you need a pin or paper clip to push the reset button in the hole hold it for 15 to 20 seconds.
- Now it should reboot automatically after that set the pools again and test.

If this doesn't work try this other solution by flashing the miner with the latest firmware you can download the firmware from this link below.

Then go to maintain tab and find the upgrade and put the firmware to start the upgrade then test again after ugprade done.

If any of this doesn't still work you might have a defective hashboard it needs to replace a new one or try to clean and remove the dust like the above said it might be down clock and set the freq automatically to lowest freq due to high temp that is why the hashrate drop.

6783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy bitcoin with credit card on: May 09, 2019, 08:48:54 PM
Are you looking for P2P exchange or someone here on the forum to deal buying bitcoin and credit card as payment?

Why not buy bitcoin directly to Coinbase? they are accepting credit card as payment method.

Or you can directly go to cex.io or eToro they are both accepting debit/credit card.

hi,
is someone accept credit card as payment option for trading, I will like to buy bitcoin
Check Binance, recently they have added the card payment option. But wait for some more posts from others to get assured about it or for a better option.

Not now because binance is temporary locked both deposit and withdrawal due to the security breach check this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5140478.0
6784  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Dumb Mistake - Please help on: May 09, 2019, 08:35:33 PM
I think you can export private keys from backup in the wallet properties just choose the private keys so that you can transfer or import the wallet to Electrum wallet or other wallets you want to.

Beware on fake Electrum make sure that you download the Electrum from the official website here is the correct website electrum.org
6785  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: E10 drops to 12TH on: May 09, 2019, 07:55:14 PM
I don't have experienced about this miner but let me try to help you.

Can you access the miner and find logs and paste it here so that I can analyze what is the issue of the miner?
6786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin attained the maturity stage or is too early? on: May 09, 2019, 06:24:34 PM
Bad news related to bitcoin is not affected too much this is not the same as what happened last year that every published a new article with bad news affected bitcoin too much compared this year.

Bitcoin price movement is following a cycle so bad news won't affect bitcoin price too much because they are following a cycle in last 2016 price movement.

Look at the image below.

There is a little similarities on the price movement and this is what I following right now because they are looks the same as 2016 price movement.

So don't focus right now on news because there are people and new comers investing in bitcoin and bitcoin still in bull run so bad news has less impact nowadays.
6787  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hot vs Cold Wallet Cryptocurrency on: May 09, 2019, 05:24:15 PM
Hot wallets are basically wallets that are connected to the internet that may or not may not be controlled by third parties. They are easier to access but more vulnerable to hacking than cold wallets. So it is important to choose a wallet that is well-known for its security. Hot wallets can be used when you are going to be executing trades frequently.

If you are only looking to hold your cryptocurrencies, a cold wallet will suit you well. You can always split your funds and store a part of it in a hot wallet and the rest in a cold wallet depending on how you want to use the funds.

The cold wallet is not the only option if you are holding a large amount of crypto there is another option like hardware wallets.
Did you hear about them? If not there are 2 well-known hardware wallets the one is Ledger nano S and the other one is Trezor.
Other hardware wallets are listed here https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/hardware/

However, if you don't have a budget cold wallet is a great option.
6788  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Not sure of this but... on: May 09, 2019, 04:22:05 PM
Much better to post the link here so that we know if it scam or not.

It should be like this one on coinbase https://www.coinbase.com/earn/stellar
or this one in blockchain https://www.blockchain.com/getcrypto

If it's not the same as what links that listed above it might be a scam or fake airdrop so much better to ignore them.
6789  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Ebit E9+ hash rate issue on: May 09, 2019, 04:10:47 PM
Honestly, I don't have experience with ebit e9+ I mostly mine with s9 but let me try to help you.
I can't determine that exact design of the miner it looks like a s9 miner.
Anyway, can you check if there is a reset hole under control board or IP reporter and then try the reset procedure below?

Hold the IP reporter/reset button for 15-20 seconds then release now it should reboot or restart automatically and then test it again.

If it doesn't work can you check if there is a logs on the miner's dashboard and then copy all of them and paste it here?
Use code the button when pasting the logs or use pastebin.com
6790  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s9j 14.5ths wont hash on: May 09, 2019, 04:06:01 PM
Here's the step you need to do first follow the guide listed below and hope that will work.

Follow the resetting guide from here How to reset miner to factory settings
Then ignore the 2nd step after that test it again.

If it's still doesn't work try to flash it with this firmware Antminer-S9-all-201711171757-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz then test it again.

If it doesn't work the final solution that I know is this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032987.0
6791  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s9j 14.5ths wont hash on: May 09, 2019, 03:02:27 PM
Can you post your kernel logs here so that we can analyze if what is the issue of your miner when running all hashboard together?

You can find the kernel logs under the system tab and then copy all logs and post it here.

Did you tried to hard reset the miner? If not do this first before you post the kernel logs here and maybe it might solve your issue.
6792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfering bitcoin V WU or MG on: May 08, 2019, 01:04:10 AM
Hi guys I’m new to BTC and I’m looking at options to transfer  money from the UK to Serbia. The recipient of the funds accepts bitcoin. I have never used bitcoin in any way shape or form and I’m wondering how much from purchasing a bitcoin to sending it to my guy would entail ? What costs are involved and where? Also how quick would it take on average from my wallet to receivers? Are there any good reasons to go with Money Gram or Western Union? The price to transfer £200 to Serbia via WU is a round £30 but it is done instantly from your home. Any advice on this would be a great help to a complete newbie like moi.

You need to buy bitcoin at the current price in coinbase from here https://www.coinbase.com/places/united-kingdom
I don't know what would be the average time to buy bitcoins from coinbase but I think it's instant if you are a verified user.
The transaction fee maybe around $0.1 to $3 from coinbase to other bitcoin address the transaction speed is depends on your transaction fee so the higher fee you pay the faster transaction to confirm.

I think money gram or WU is good as a remittance but expect to pay a higher fee so  I recommend you to buy bitcoin instead and send bitcoin to the guy.
You can use this http://preev.com/ if how much is £200 in bitcoin before you transfer or send it to the guy.
6793  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance just lost 7000 BTC in a security breach on: May 08, 2019, 12:34:11 AM
That's bad news with good news but 7000 such a huge amount of BTC and according to Binance, it's only 2% of their holdings. Which is too big to be true.

Anyway, the good news is that they have funds to give a full refund to affected users so no worries. I'm lucky that I already withdraw some of my coins out from binance last week Smiley
6794  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S usability questions on: May 07, 2019, 11:58:48 PM
Ok then how is it possible for hackers or law enforcement to gain access to your coins on the nano s if that is the case? I did hear stories hackers getting access to coins on ledger nano s hardware and regular upcoming firmware updates means old version is not secure and can be hacked.
Where did you hear about the hackers who can access coins on ledger nano s? Never heard them except for Trezor wallet.
Regular update on their firmware doesn't mean that they are changing ledger nano S security the fact is they are always adding more features and
coins and they improve security but not always it depends if they found some security hole and fix the issue with a new firmware.

Ledger.com is always releasing a new firmware note or post publicly if there is a new feature added or changes like this one https://www.ledger.com/2019/01/16/ledger-releases-a-new-nano-s-firmware-update/
So you will know if the reason for releasing new firmware is because of security or not.
6795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Known Physical Bitcoin Attacks on: May 07, 2019, 11:46:36 PM
I'm afraid that it might happen to me or in my friends who also use bitcoin.
That is why I always keep my withdrawal secret and use other friends or family name when withdrawing bitcoin into fiat to keep my self safe on like these attacks.

I think the best thing to do here if you are planning to withdraw big amount of bitcoin into fiat you should directly transfer it into bank because if you carry a big amount while going home you are in danger and maybe someone will find that bag you carrying is full of money.
6796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovery Passphrase on: May 07, 2019, 10:35:49 PM
Which app you are recommending for brute force? And is it possible to brute force second password on MultiBit/Blockchain.info with that app?

Thanks.

What you need is already mention above you can use the BTCrecovery tool to bruteforce the password of Multibit but I don't if it will work on Blockchain because their wallet is not the same as before but you can try.

Follow this tutorial on recovering your password for both multibit and blockchain from here Complete tutorial on recovering a password.
6797  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: choosing between S9J or Avalon 851 on: May 07, 2019, 10:26:01 PM
1) which one of mentioned miners is more durable and reliable technically with less break down probability ? (I heard that s9 after few months face some problems like drop in the hashrate )

I don't have much experienced on Avalon but in s9s it is still a good choice because my miner still alive and running. I think it depends on our hand how do we care our miner because I'm doing maintenance every 2 weeks removing all dust is very important because if your miner is full of dust the miner temp will become higher that might destroy any parts from your hashboards.

2) If you have used any of them please share your own experience ?

Just like what I said above I don't have experience on using Avalon miner but I'm sure other miners will recommend s9j because you can overclock it through SSH and reach 19th/s.

3) generally which one do u suggest and why ?

I already answered it above.
6798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin recover again above $ 8000? on: May 07, 2019, 10:01:10 PM
With the current situation possible that the price will touch again to $8k but not this month or next month maybe it might possible to happen around December or next year.

The movement price of bitcoin is looks like the same as what happen on last 2016 so if we follow the old graph this year the $8k price can be reach around December as what I see.

Do not expect too much because the price of bitcoin is unstable anytime the price movement can be change.
6799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to $6k level and beyond! - BTC on: May 07, 2019, 08:37:56 PM
I do not know why people celebrating seeing 6000$ so much.
We saw that price several times already and there is nothing surprising in that.
I say that I, maybe, the one who is not so crazy exited due to current changing on the market.
I am preparing my exitiness for much bigger points of a new bull rally.
He is talking about the value of bitcoin today in almost exchanges as you can see on the image there is one exchange which already reach $6k value they aren't celebrating they are actually excited for the new price level.

We almost see worst price drop happened for almost 80% last year and those weak hand that sold bitcoin in 3k value are now regretting.

However, we shouldn't expect too much on the price increase because the bitcoin is too volatile anytime the price can be drop after reaching $6k value.
