I've only participated in 1 ICO, and frankly speaking, the difference between them and DeepOnion is stark. The ICO ended, and they didn't even have a wallet ready for release! I mean, c'mon....you don't even have a wallet? You gained millions upon millions of dollars, and you couldn't even ensure a working wallet by the time the ICO ended? You then look at DO, good technology, no ICO, working wallet, new paper wallet added, etc, etc, etc.... ICO's are, in my opinion, ultra high risk, and I can see why many countries are turning their backs on them. |

Probably a combination of things. Its a snowball effect, really. People who were banned, are looking to dump and distance themselves from it. Those with weak hands, and aren't really into the whole community, or see the long term upside to the coin then panic and dump. Case closed. You should have at least edited this post to not look like a complete idiot. This is the perfect example of the people that must be avoided for DeepOnion to be successful. They are all out for themselves. The way he reacts to not getting accepted, by spreading FUD is just very telling of the selfishness of the person. It's just hard to know how a person would respond unless they are rejected. You could say it's easy for me to say this since I was accepted, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't start spreading FUD if I wasn't accepted. It's just annoying because clearly he was interested in the coin, but now he's saying it's a scam. I hate that kind of dishonesty. I haven't been accepted, and to say i'm disappointed has to be the understatement of my lifetime... but see absolutely no reason to score points and denegrate everyone involved because of this. as you say, how can I be very interested one minute and act like a complete tool the next, because I broke a rule. I still believe DeepOnion to be a wonderful concept & await with baited breath for the introduction of the masternodes.. Did i miss something? Deeponion is implementing masternodes? When/where was this announced? I have not heard anything about DeepOnion implementing Masternodes. This comment is not accurate. I'm not saying it wont be made available via the Vote Central, but that is many weeks away. |

Don't care about the price so much. The importance is the project itself and its healthy development. It is a currency, a tool, that enables a private and anonymous form of payment and messaging. And that's how we should treat it: as an important tool for our private life and a free society without government surveillance. I don't care if one coin is 1$ or 10$, as long as it gives me the opportunity to maintain my privacy. This is also my motivation to help this coin getting bigger and bigger, reaching more and more people. And I believe if we continue working on this project as relentless as we are doing for the last weeks many people on this planet will join us. Then someday you will check the onion price and notice you are a rich man.
I could care less about the price these days. The Airdrop is a long process, and the coin is going to go up and down a lot over the next 30+ weeks. Right now, its a snowball effect. Lots of banned people realized this week that they're not getting back in, so they dumped. Then you have weak handed people who see this, see the price come down, and so they dump. There's nothing you can do about that. I believe we have a good number of the banned people out of the woodwork, and so I can see this raising gradually. Much in the same way it got to that $1.30 mark a few weeks back. Remember guys, that unless selling / buying is on your mind, don't freak out about the price. Cheers! |

That's a very valid point! Dev should concentrate on development and not on building of the army of blind supporters. You need supporters with tech skills! Dev team DOES concentrate on development. How do you think features are coming to fruition? Last week was the paper wallet for example. There is a separation between Community Managers, and development team. Further, please review the actual roadmap for additional information. They introduce features according to that, not when the community feels it is ready. |

However in many cases in the past and almost on this ANN thread tonight / this morning i have seen members saying similar to

Yes and in a lot of cases it is true they "did nothing",
No posts or just one reference to deeponion in a month, being a complaint and not supporting us
and why they had not been given $500 to a $1000 of onions a week for this one post of complaint
Theses are some of the real reasons for them being banned
These are whom I called "the beggars". However, many got blacklisted by mistake which is proven by the fact that they have been un-blacklisted later. And others, like the one I've quoted in my first post, as far as I know are still blacklisted. So unjustice is being done. Which is bad, because unjustice just calls for even more unjustice. But not from one side only. And after a while everything gets just totally fucked up. Those that were reinstated for "accidental" blacklisting also had their posts reviewed. It wasn't just a case of "oops, there was an accident, you can rejoin" The process is fair. We reward those that put effort into the campaign. |
