681  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price At $4750 And Counting As Charlie Shrem Calls Below $100k ‘Cheap’ on: September 01, 2017, 01:00:05 PM
Bitcoin continues to push past $4700 as Charlie Shrem claims any price below $100,000 per coin is “cheap.”

Part of an increasingly large and prominent group of well-known names highly bullish on Bitcoin, Shrem made the comments on Twitter Thursday as the overall cryptocurrency market cap topped $170 bln.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-at-4750-and-counting-as-charlie-shrem-calls-below-100k-cheap

yeah below $100k is cheap if you buy it. but if the value of bitcoin pump over $100k it is difficult to us to buy some of it, it is up to us whether to buy or work to have a bitcoin. but for me its better to work instead of buying it. i admit that i cant afford to buy any single digits of bitcoin to hold until it pump much more than its value from now.

I am newcomer and very interested about bitcoin. I need a wallet before I am purchase some bitcoin. What is the best and most secure bitcoin wallet?

Your suggestion is very important to me

i suggest to explore all about bitcoin first and learn all about it, for your sake. mostly all newcomer are totally got greedy when they heard about it, but take it slow dude, just take some search research before you go thru for the guidance. and for the wallet you looking for, you can learn a lot in this thread for more info.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin acceptance on: August 31, 2017, 11:49:49 AM
You can pay with Bitcoin in several stores and even restaurants here in Germany. Are we the only one who have this?  Huh

here at our country we can buy cellphone loads, we can pay some unique bills even electric bills and some convenient store are accepting bitcoin as mode of payments. but restaurants? i never encountered yet before. i hope soon it will be, and NO your not only one (your country) have this feature in terms on convenient to ease some transactions with bitcoin. 684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and governments on: August 31, 2017, 10:55:19 AM
Hi btkers , discussion about the relationship between governments and cryptocurrencies.
Why don't governments officialise the use of cryptocurrencies .
Can these cryptocurrencies affect countries economy?

because of some reason i guest. but many other country are already accept this so called bitcoin, and many of them (from their country) are getting lucrative from this bitcoin to ease their some transaction outdoor.

and i think those country that really not accept bitcoin are country that not understand most the value of this bitcoin for their countrymen, they got banned bitcoin from using it or got no exchanger because i think they looking forward of the mass scam or something if they accept this but they are wrong.

686  Other / Meta / Re: How long for activity to update? on: August 28, 2017, 03:55:12 AM
for me are more bad
my post say 243 and activity no more up in last 2 days
my account registred in 2014 soo can handle and legendary activity +1200 activity but stuck at 224 who can help me with that issues
Did you buy this account?

Otherwise, you should know that activity is calculated through the function min(posts, 14*activityperiods).
Your email has been changed. Your posts became trash between the 3-year gap. Clearly a bought/hacked account.

Relevant archives: [Quality Before Gap] [Quality After Gap]

If you are the original owner then show proof of ownership of ANY Vertcoin address with a transaction before December 2014. Wink
can explain me more?i not understand very well
exactly i bought this account soo will stuck at 224 activity or up now every 2 week only?and 3 years no more count?
nevermind i know calculate now
soo 224 activity = 2014  for march december post and now will calculate only 14 august so in 28 agust i got other 14 activity
thx for help me understand soo not have potential for become more then senior member in next month

i think its because of being inactive for many times. after updates(every two weeks) even you have a lot of post, let say you post a 2k post before but you didnt post even 1-2 post per update it would be not counted to gain +14 activity again, i thought. after so may weeks for being inactive and not posting even 1-2 post it will not increase your activity as you thought to legendary and remains you at full member status.
687  Other / Meta / Re: In which forum/sub-forum do I post early stage projects? on: August 28, 2017, 02:43:45 AM
Hello!

I have a bitcointalk beginner question (prolly dumb  Grin) but where is the best place (forum/sub-forum) to post a new crypto project in early stage to attract investors, find advisers, promotion partners, ambassadors so on...

Project Development or Announcements (Altcoins)?

Thanks in advance!

i think you can post it here Announcements (Altcoins) because as i know you are in early stage right? announce first all about your project to attract/got interest to other investors/partners on your project. if they think that your project has a potential to grow im sure you got them interest in your project as if you have a good amazing formal announcement. i thought.
688  Other / Meta / Re: How to increase Activity? on: August 28, 2017, 02:13:31 AM
Guys how do you increase your activity? as of now i have 14 activity and 30 post, can you help me how to increase it?

activity increase/added for every 2 weeks. even you post more than the activity you have, for now it will not added because you will wait for the updates to gain you another 14 activity. it cost almost a month to complete a 3 updates and you become a jr member. at the rank you have which is 28 activity, so you almost a jr member this coming updates tuesday 08/29/2017..
689  Other / Meta / Re: How to become a Junior Member ? on: August 28, 2017, 01:09:27 AM
How to become a Junior Member ?

you need to have/reach to 30 activity. first from the creating of your account, you only have to reach 14 activity, after you reached that it will not added another 14 activity until the next updates (updates every 2 weeks) 14activity + 14 activity = 28 activity after 2 weeks, you have a complete 30 activity to become a jr member. every updates you will gain a 14 activity. so you have almost a month to reach/become a jr member. as is you posting a constructive and informative post.

rely on this for the next updates.

690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: August 28, 2017, 12:12:08 AM
I don't think it will last that long 100years or a century. There be new ones that will come out soon maybe 50 years or as early as 20 years from now that will replace the place where bitcoin is. That is possible and that is reality works. We can't change the fact that change is the only permanent things in the world.

yeah i got your point. but who knows? no one of us can see the future, maybe your right but we can hide the other side that could possibly happen. like this bitcoin if it can survive for 100 years. i come for yes of course bitcoin exist just a few years ago and its all the beginning of bitcoin in our society, although there are no acceptance of this in the other country but it would be happen so soon.
691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 27, 2017, 11:33:58 PM
bitcoin price is expensive now BUT you dont need to buy a whole bitcoin. Buy a fraction of btc first or what you can afford then buy when the price dips.
Possible soft fork in November perhaps?
This is one issue with some people, it seems some people are uninformed and think they can only buy a full bitcoin similar to what happens with an ounce of gold but bitcoin can be fragmented many times over and you can buy as much as you can afford, the only problem with that is that the less bitcoin you have the lesser the benefits when the price goes up.

i feel you dude, but how about those people who cant afford to buy a huge amount of bitcoin? yes maybe in your own definition that those who bought a lesser/little amount of bitcoin and they got a lesser/little amount of profit, i think they happy on that just the way they do because they cant afford to have more. so the mainstream is its too late for those people who cant afford to buy a huge amount of bitcoin because of it huge value and it isnt too for those rich and can do afford to buy a bunch of it.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when we hit 21,000,000 bitcoins? on: August 26, 2017, 09:52:02 AM
This morning I was talking about this with a buddy of mine.

Right now we have miners all over the world trying to solve this exponentially hard algorithm to earn their bitcoins. That is their incentive and that is what drives them to do so.

What happens when we remove that incentive to "mine" aka "verify transactions" on the blockchain? What I'm basically asking is what happens when we hit 21,000,000 bitcoins from the perspective of the miners?

i think if it reached its maximum potential of 21,000,000 bitcoins, it has be another cycle of mines to be mine to have a another round on this business. and i think the creators of this bitcoin are aware on that. so they have another round to catch up us again and again to make us them more profits.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 26, 2017, 08:58:21 AM
nothing is impossible. and the possibility that bitcoin could be replace by another cryptocurrnecy is probably possible, but for now by means of popularity and demand even bitcoin has a limited quantity/volume, bitcoin is cannot replace by the other cryptocurrency maybe the cryptocurrency (OP mentioning) will/would be the shadow of bitcoin but to replace is never gonna be happen i thought.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: August 24, 2017, 09:31:19 AM
I think is yes bitcoins is so secure for now but dont just trust anyone with your own paswords or anything involve with money  now adays a lot of people crying and screaming about there money who steal from them by a hackers for all this hackers there is no imposible in the future so better to be very carefull
I also think as well. However, be cautious all the time because we don't know what are the possibilities that will occur soon. No matter how strong is our password that deals or links with money, always make a point that they are changes to happen specially if the person involve in a particular trading system.Make sure that you can detect its security purposes in order for you to be aware of everything that is going on. We don't know someday if someone will falter or betray you. Just be wise and so far bitcoin is secure.

i think this issue is not yet prioritize of other hackers. because blockchain has a solid and very secure system. the only thing that was able to believe is that if you reveal all of the information of your bitcoin wallet to someone/somewhere, you breaking your own security protocol  when you do that. and it cause of loosing all that you have.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: August 24, 2017, 09:05:15 AM
I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)

I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins
I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.

What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?

How do you currently store your coins

thanks in advance for any inputs

i strongly recommend you a hardware wallet. hardware wallets are very secure in term of looses. if you want to invest a huge amount of your money to btc and you want to keep it safe for about 5-10 years, hardware wallet is suits to your need. but it is really expensive. or try to have a sofware wallet they are also secure in terms of loosing.
696  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: August 24, 2017, 08:34:47 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

i think both of them are profitable. for now you can do both of them because with a job you can earn constantly at the same time work with bitcoin, not totally fair in terms of time but it would be equal or more over unlike your job but you can have those profit from both of them, so i suggest not to quit on your job and do work with your bitcoin at the same time.

698  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: August 24, 2017, 06:41:10 AM
How exactly do I have 5 activity in my first day?

as i know. from the first day you create your account your activity is only up to 14 activity, although you post more than 14 post your activity wont added until the next update. update is only happen every two weeks.

so on your question that How exactly do I have 5 activity in my first day? just make a post but not in burst, make your post more constructive and informative. then you will see that your activity is going up until it reach 14 activity.

700  Other / Meta / Re: Accout Hacked on: August 22, 2017, 05:59:20 AM
Since I wasn't using my account for a while, I just thought it was a little bit strange when I was trying to access the account and it was telling me that the password was wrong. So I tried to go through the recovery but it was telling me the email was wrong... that's when I saw something was terribly wrong... I'm still trying to reason how the bastard was able to do that...

Probably he got your password through the database leak in the year 2015 happened here, back then I was not a member but during that time a leaked database of tons of accounts of bitcointalk was being sold on darknet markets which you can find with TOR browser. Once he got your password, he changed your email and password and is using your account since then I believe.

As I said the only way for you to recover your account is by signing a message from an old wallet you have staked (if you have staked) in the thread I told you above. There is no other way as far as I know.

Yeah, I still have access to my old wallets. it is a blockchain wallet. what do you mean by "if my wallet was staked"?

Did you stake your old btc wallet address here?. Stake means probably post your bitcoin wallet address with a sign message from your bitcoin wallet for the future purposes like lost/hacked your account. staking your wallet address is strong prof that the account had been posted is yours. if you do that before and post it in that thread, there is a chance that you can retrieve your old account. but if its not. there's no other option,

additional,
if you staked your old bitcoin wallet address  and did sign message before you got hacked. then check it if there's anybody quoted your stake for the strong prof. you needed to retrieve your old account hacked.
