681  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency - future? on: February 18, 2019, 11:01:59 AM
I myself also still believe in the future of cryptocurrency is also a more brilliant future, because now it is also developing throughout the world, and can also help the country's economy.
if in my opinion there are still many who believe in crypto has a bright future because someday crypto currencies will become more popular because the passage of time technology is increasingly sophisticated and crypto will also be increasingly legalized by the countries in the world
crypto for the future for me is definitely going to become famous later and it will become an online transaction and in my opinion if crypto is not extinct it will be advanced and improved in my opinion

thats good to hear because you guys are seeing a bright future for the cryptos but lets not forget the fact that crypto is still volatile or unstable in other words . the price cant always remain high even if the adoption is already a widespread globally but that's okay because it is an advantage actually because these factors can open up more room for newly investers  to enter the crypto scene .
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin be the same if Satoshi wasn't anonymous? on: February 18, 2019, 10:03:44 AM
His life might be at risk if ever he showed himself. People will chase for him and gonna ask to do something that's against his will.

no that wont always be the case . other popular inventors do show them selve's but they are still alive and infact they do recieve alot of attention from the public . the same thing can also happen to satoshi if he will reveal himself  . he can be an instant celebrity  .

On the other hand, I would like him to slam all of those altcoins that keeps on saying that they will surpass bitcoin. I just want to here him saying that no one can surpass bitcoin's success.

no he wont ever do that . satoshi nakamoto is a humble and a good guy . he didnt even reveal himself because he dont want to get honored from his great invention  . only speculators and bitcoin lovers can say those things to altcoins because they love bitcoin too much  .
683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top reasons that leads to fail in trading on: February 18, 2019, 08:19:25 AM
I was a victim of chasing a coin that was already pumping.

that was a pretty bad move bro . you mustn't ever chase a coin that is pumping because there can be two bad probabilties that can occur . one is the coin can be a pump and dump . what if the coin suddenly dump after you bought it ? you will loose big  . second one is , the could coin be legit but buying it in a high price was still  a bad move . not only it could cost you alot but also there is a chance that the coin can dump right after you bought it .  that can be your experience , i bet you already learn't your lesson .
684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders, what are your views in 2019. on: February 18, 2019, 07:28:12 AM
I think the first six months of this year will still be bear one and there will be no big movement.

i totally disagree on you . didnt you see the price charts latety ? bitcoin as well as other cryptos are now wake up from thier deep sleep and they are now showing a slow movements going upward  . so how can you still say that the first six months will be a bear  , when the bear is actually ended  ? it wil be acceptable to me if you say that the first six months of this year will going to be a bullish trend  .
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fell for FUD. Stand your ground bitcoiners! on: February 18, 2019, 06:42:33 AM
As of now I think the FUD has reduced having made some people dumb their coins without any second thought because they don't want their investment to vanish but they didn't think of who was buying when they were selling. FUD is a tool and it will keep existing but investors need to know why they are investment this is what will make difference between those that will be moved by any FUD or those that will hold their coins.

Long time back only I understood that whatever decisions need to be taken I have to do my own research so that it helps me in learning as well as in selection of the coins and do not be dependent on anybody else who can recommended the worthless coin and in the end we loose our money .

Many people following others recomendation and not able to make their own analysis. Right now, its better make our own analysis and research about our investment. If we made mistake because our own analysis, we can take a lesson from it and our knowledge growing better

You got a point here . strategy of others wont always work on some people . thats why it is much better to foccus on your own strategy , not only it is beneficial for you . it can also teach you a valueable lesson if ever you fall from your own mistake .

When it comes to fuds, we must not believe on them instantly because fuds are only the same as speculation and prediction . they are all unreal or no evidence to back thier statements .  fuds only causes users to panic  and fudsters only take the benefits at most .
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Deep Web on: February 17, 2019, 02:36:47 PM
There are people who are afraid to use bitcoins because they think that it can be only use in illegal activities because of its anonymity.

No . its not anonymity on why people refrain to use bitcoin but its about the appearance   .  i have talk to some people online and i introduce bitcoin to them  . they said that they mistaken bitcoin as a scam  because it is only a virtual currency and the name bitcoin is not really well known  aside from this forum .

What is the benefit of people to doing illegal use of Monero?

They cant be traced by the authorities because monero is fully anonymous when compare to bitcoin  but bitcoin can also be fully anonymous if you wil mix it using a mixing service such as bitblender .
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New hate wave? on: February 17, 2019, 01:41:46 PM
Bitcoin price doesn't depend on bank's minds. If they all hate bitcoin, why most of them bought crypto-exchanges, or cryptofunds. On mass media they talk that they hate bitcoin but after that they buy it.
That is there strategy to encourage those panicking people to sell their coins and taking advantage on it. Crypto is now a huge market and of course many were having interest towards these.

No its not just a strategy but that is true . many banks do really hate bitcoin because they think that bitcoin is a big threat to their business . they see that people are using bitcoin as an investment . sooner or later , people will refrain to use bank because they cant earn huge interest on it and they rather switch on bitcoin  .  not only they can earn big return , they can also ensure that their money is safe because they hold their own wallet .
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa on: February 17, 2019, 09:58:01 AM
The member Jet Cash idea to give a dedicated forum for Africans

Woah really ? Thats nice .  i see that africa is left behind on the latest trends especially on cryptocurrency  but if we will educate them and sponsor them some items that they can use to access and operate cryptos, im pretty sure that their country can also add to the growing adoption of cryptos  .

True, governments in Africa are somewhat corrupt, not all but some government officials are for sure corrupt, but what I liked with their decision is that

Oh i see  . this can be also the reason on why africa is so poor .

almost all countries in Africa has Bitcoin approved, it could be a big help for the citizens, and hopefully it could lessen the poverty.

I guess thats not true . i see alot of users here , saying that africa is not supporting cryptos  .
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The HODL meme and its impact on Bitcoin on: February 17, 2019, 09:00:39 AM
Many people decided to "HODL" when prices were hitting 19k$ to 20k$ thinking prices will go up higher but didn't lol on the other hand prices dipped down harder so HODL wasn't a very good idea for many I guess xd

thats their fault because they keep on hodling even if the price is already high  . hodl only means when the prices are in dip but when the price of the coins are pumping and reaching an ath  , then that is the time that we must forget the term hodl for a while .

For early adopter hodling has giving a good profit

Hodling is not only for early adopters because hodl is for everyone .  you can continue to hodl even if the market is in healthy condition  .

Quote
for me hodling is not a meme,

Course it its not  . hodling is a term but some might be using this term to create a meme which isnt also bad  . infact it can attract people to learn this term even if they not interested on crypto  .
690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: First hand examples of Emotional trading on: February 16, 2019, 09:48:42 AM
What are some examples of when emotions mess up your trades?
The best example for me was when I choose not to sell during the bull run.
Now, I'm still holding my tokens and I'm kinda making some regrets and fantasizing things that I could achieve and enjoy now
if I made the right decision during the bull season.

Its not the emotion's fault because you are not emtional that time . being emtoional means a trader/invester is affected too much in a dip and result for him to sell his assets at a loss because he wont accept if he will loose again .

Your decision making is the one that screw's you that time because you think that the prices can rise more but unfortunately they dont  but dont worry because crypto can probably rise back again in the future  .
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs doubled every year since 2014 on: February 16, 2019, 08:24:33 AM

I didnt knew that there were now btc powered atm's back then on the year 2014  .  why the earth they will built it if the adoption is not yet bigger ?  Back then , people arent really aware about the existence of the crypto currencies but overall i still salute those guys who insist to put up an btc atm business  .

Right now i wont doubt anymore because we already see the improvement of btc adoption  .  btc atm's are surely be a good hit  because sooner or later the btc users are expected to double up or even tripple .
692  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you remember how you feel about during 2008? on: February 16, 2019, 06:57:46 AM
I did not experience the bitcoin price situation in 2008 because I have only joined the bitcoin world and crypto currency since 2016,
but I once learned about the state of bitcoin at that time from the experience of my colleague who had joined since the beginning of bitcoin was created, but I can't regret anything, I never expected back to a time when bitcoin was cheap or expensive, I hope that in the future bitcoin prices will continue to increase.
maybe on 2018 situation in cryptocurrency market has same condition with current condition.the different thing maybe at that moment there is no insituttion investors and maybe fud not massive yet.

the guy above you is talking about the year 2008 not 2018 but i agree in you . the year 2018 is verry simillar on the current year that we have right now because both year have the same price  but we'll never know if 2019 will be slighty different because we still have 3 more quarters to go  .

@the op  . 2008 ?  i though bitcoin and the entire crypto universe did first start on the year 2009 ?   hmmm?

You cannot compare bitcoin from 2008/2009 with 2018/2019. In 2009 Bitcoin was just started and no one knows the potential of it. In the present year, we have realize the true benefit of bitcoin and it is slowly being adopted by the society.

and why not ? there is nothing wrong in comparing . people only compare because they see that the prices of cryptos do have a simillarities when you look at its price history  .  the price might be closely simillar but the adoption on this current year is more over compare to the past existence of cryptos  .
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ? on: February 16, 2019, 05:58:24 AM
I don't think a global disasters will affect the bitcoins value in the market even in a positive and negative scenario because disasters are happened only in a one place at a time

not sure if you already read title of the topic carefully . it says "global disaster"  global means all over the world . that also means that the disaster is happening all together , not one at a time  .

if that happens  , i believe it can cause negative impact on the crypto market and the price of the coins will all fall or will become stable instead because crypto users will be busy cleaning up and fixing the problems that the disaster have cause on their place .
694  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes and regulations on: February 16, 2019, 02:25:56 AM
I think that you can not take cryptocurrency as "property". This is extremely not reasonable. Cryptocurrencies are digital currency, money, and imposing a tax on money is accordingly silly.

As of now, governments consider cryptocurrency as "digital assets" that being used in investment. These digital assets are like gold where prices fluctuates based on speculations. These digital coins can be classified as property. Though we know that this is not the real purpose of the coins. The question is when can we consider these coins as currency? As soon as the application of the blockchain go mainstream.

Perhaps coin can consider as currency when mass adoption happen or when all merchant accept coin as payment. In my country, cryptocurrency traded as commodity and perhaps its classified as property.

what are you complaining about guys ? crypto is already considered as a currency but many people use it differently , they use thier cryptos for investment  or for trading because they can see a profit from it .  about the regulation thing ,  crypto cant be regulated because crypto is not regulated and not hold by banks  .
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems to me Bitcoin is getting over the bear sh*t on: February 15, 2019, 11:16:00 PM
Sadly, the bear market will still remain because of the price correction that is still happening.

Bear market and price correction are both the same because they indicate a price fall .   speaking of bear , the bear is now slowly replaced by a price increase but idk yet if this increase would continue until the end of the month but if it is,  then the price can easily break out into 4kusd which can probably lead to a new bull run

We should just wait because I am sure that the bull market will occur before the year will end. Just be calm and be positive on whats happening in the market.

Right . patience is the key here to stay in the game as we all know that bull is verry slow moving when compared to bear  but if ever the bull will be delayed  . im sure that 2020 can be a good year due to the incoming halving .
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 will be better then 2017 :) ? on: February 15, 2019, 12:27:15 PM
Of course we cannot say which one is better because 2019 has not ended and is still in its initial month but we still have a lot of time.

2017 also started low but after the start of 4th quarter the cryptos value suddenly skyrocketed  . i agree on your  comment dude . its pretty early to tell the difference because we are just getting started  . we dont even reach the 3/4th of the first quarter this year  .

there hasn't been any big positive news confirmed this year.

there is dude . some positive news are already confirmed lately . didnt you notice that the market have slightly turned into green ?

2019 could be better than last year or 2017

maybe  . lets hope so  .  while waiting for it to happen , we can also do something to make it more achievable  . that is if  we can buy and hodl more crypto's until the end of this year  .
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What made you fall in love with crypto? on: February 15, 2019, 10:00:54 AM
What interest me about cryptocurrency is its capabilities to make such unprofessional man an instant millionaire or billionaire

you dont need to down your self or make your self little . you are not unprofessional  . we all have a profession here because we worked here in the forum and on crypto .  infact we are more better than a proffesional because our potential income here on crypto are much bigger than those who have a real profession .

Quote
What made you fall in love with crypto?

im inlove with crypto because crypto give's me an oppurtunity to earn a cash on my own home . i thank him so much because i know that i cant improve my life without them  .
698  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: February 15, 2019, 08:30:36 AM
According to conspiracy theory, Is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments to gain financial strength in the modern world?

While everything is possible in this life, I don't see a reason governments to create something which is competitor to their money, cannot be controlled by them and cannot be 'minted' by them like fiat money?

As I'm seeing it, this is no more than conspiracy theory.
It does not even reach that point, at least some conspiracy theories despite their wild claims make some kind of sense, but the theory that bitcoin was created by a government does not have any kind of support for example, governments already have the exclusive right to print fiat, with bitcoin anyone with the right hardware can mine bitcoin, fiat can be printed without any limit, bitcoin has a limit in the amount of coins that will be created, governments can take away your fiat in bank accounts, they cannot do the same with bitcoin, I could go on but you get my point.

I dont see conspiracy theory if government create their own cryptocurrency because it should not called as crypto but digital money. As long controlled by government, that "crypto" still fiat money and the price controlled by central banks. Cryptocurrency should be decentralized and no government involve in the project

I agree on what burogh said . if crypto is really built by government then crypto should not be called crypto at the first place because that is sounds ugly imo . they can rather be called digital money or virtual money but even today crypto can sometimes be called a virtual money and digital money  .  i guess that also depend on the person if what name he prefer.
699  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says 79% of cryptocurrency event attendees are men on: February 15, 2019, 06:22:11 AM

I agree on that research but lets not ignore the fact that there were also females or gals who are currently involved on the crypto community  .  didnt you see on the team of an ico ,  or on the teams of an crypto exchange ? We can clearly see that few of their member are femine's  .

Include the forum members of this website and also on other platform as well  . if combine thos number , i think they are close to the percent of male crypto users .
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Paper Wallet on: February 15, 2019, 04:09:07 AM
There are two sets of people who could do this: newbies and traders.

Newbies are not so adept at using wallets outside of an exchange and it's preferable for them to store their bitcoins with an exchange. Wallets are of course complicated, especially the concepts of private keys.

Traders, of course, need to have some bitcoins on an exchange in order to be able to carry out trades as fast as possible.

The last reply from this thread is august 2018 , lol nice digging tho  Wink

Anyway  , you are correct   . noobs dont engage on trading and investing , therfor they arent require to use some kind of a paper wallet or hardware wallet .

While pro and veteran crypto users are actively buying and trading , thats why they usually store their coins inside an exchange for lesser hassel and for lesser fees as well .
