On mintpool.us, mint is at 55 MH, whilst Doge is only at 44! We made it, we grew bigger than Doge!

Mintcoin is so much more yummier than Dogecoin. And the PoS minting is tons more fun!

Mintcoin moved up from 13-14 satoshis to 14-15 satoshis. Let's keep this trend up.

Buy support has also increased.

Prices seem to be stabilizing between 13-14 satoshis. I am expecting stability for awhile, followed by a run up.

Looks interesting, I think I'll check this one out in more detail.

In the past I've gone for the more traditional POW coins like BTC/LTC/DGC and SRC but this could be a nice diversification to investigate.

Definitely. The Proof of Stake minting process allows for people without powerful gaming GPUs to generate new coins through minting. This means everyone gets a chance to participate in new coin generation. A side effect is that this takes tons less electricity overall and it's friendlier for the environment. Good for responsibility and sustainability.

Well, I have not been following the happenings in the MINT universe.  Been daytrading it, but just rebought between 14-16 satoshis.  Was gonna withdrawal all my MINT to my local wallet to stake for long term hold.  Just wanna be sure the current wallet is okay and functional before I do so.

Seems to be a bit of FUD and trouble in paradise in the MINT world.  Many seem to be unhappy with the current devs.

One piece of advice I would give to any MINT holder who may be new to the world of crypto is this.  Don't worry about the devs so much.  Be patient and things will progress.  I haven't been following MINT as closely as I should have, but what makes me confident in holding my MINT from here on out is the community.  Any coin that gains this level of support this quickly has a bright future.  If the current devs suck, someone in the community will step up to take the reigns.  The devs may be working harder than you or I even know, but no one promised the moon overnight.  Relax, stake your coins, come back in 1 year to find 20% more MINT and a much higher price!

Agreed. This coin does have a bright future. I don't care about the volatility now or the final dumping by the miners who are walking away. The price will stabilize, then continue to rise over the weeks and months. I will be holding a large amount of my Mintcoins for a very long time. I may also never even sell some of them off.

While I am slightly pissed off to see us drop to 13 when I woke up, I know that those dumping now are those who bought at 4 and 5 satoshi and whose patience has run out. Don't look at these dumps and think that people have lost faith in the coin - they haven't - this is just people content with making 3 or 4 times their BTC investment back and fair enough I suppose!

What is encouraging is that while these sell walls are clearly an attempt to keep the price pushing down, buy support has been able to hold off all but the biggest dumpers.

Alot of folk have been selling their MINT for BTC to buy LTC too remember - There is always a reason why people sell off coins lower than they could otherwise get for them, it is them thinking they can make a quick buck on another coin and then come back and buy MINT even lower. How's about we teach them a lesson?

Basically, prices will drop then stabilize. When the weak hands have sold, there will be a lot less dumping and Mintcoin can spread its wings and really fly! Now, we wait. Now, we hold and we wait.

Namecheap is one of the best registrars out there for domain names. They take Bitcoin. I'm gonna email them and ask them to take Mintcoin as well. We do need others to do the same because they would be more inclined to take Mintcoin if more people ask them to.

Vault of Satoshi asks What Coins Do You Want to See?: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=519658.0

Let them know what makes Mintcoin awesome and we can have another fiat exchange!

I put in a request for Mintcoin in that thread.

Saw your post, good job! I added my own 2 cents after you.

Mintcoin to the moon!

Getting a fiat exchange for Canada would help my marketing strategy for Mintcoin. It's one of the missing pieces.

Vault of Satoshi would be great for this.

Hey Adam,

I would love to see Mintcoin added. The exchange is great and so is the coin, so I think it is a good match. There is active presence from the developer and a large and rapidly growing community. I would love to see Canadians being able to purchase Mintcoins with Canadian dollars and not have to get Bitcoins first then buy Mintcoins. Mintcoins now are generating 20% 'interest' in the first year from Proof of Stake minting which I think is really cool.

I also like how the logos were redesigned. I feel the name has a nice marketing angle to it and it can draw in new customers. It has a nice gustatory component to it and it seems to have validity because of the Mint name. If you add it, I will add Vault of Satoshi to my own marketing campaign to help bring in tons of new customers.

695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *20 Exchanges on: March 17, 2014, 02:46:59 PM
I don't really see Mintcoin going any lower. Mintcoin is lots of fun and the devs and community are continually building the infrastructure. This is important for growth and for added value which will push the price up and quickly. Mintcoin reached 64 satoshis overnight from 20 satoshis and it will again. This time it could easily push past 200 satoshis. I can sense big things in the works for Mintcoin in the coming weeks. Mintcoin to the moon.
Hope you're right bro! Really hope so. What else can we as coin holders do to help out the entire effort? I've already annoyed everyone I knoe telling them about Mintcoin and I've given away 50,000 to people to get them to download the wallet and get into the coin. Any ideas about what else to do?

Ways to boost the price include adding exposure, value, and utility to the coin which creates demand and adding direct demand subsequently raises the prices.

--You can post an ad on Craigslist offering free Mintcoins. Put up a description of PoS, etc.
--Post up paper ads at college/university bulletin boards advertising Mintcoin.
--Give Mintcoin to friends and family and tell them to give a few to other people as well.
--Make ad campaigns on Facebook advertising Mintcoin.
--Advertise Mintcoin using Google, that goes to a landing page which you create that teaches people about the wonders of Mintcoin.
--Put up ads in hardcopy newspapers.
--Contact all sorts of online merchants and ask them to accept Mintcoin to improve sales. This may be hobby shops, precious metal stores, gun shops, flashlight retailers, battery retailers, toy retailers, anyone, spread the word.
--Whenever you see small sell walls, try to eat them up. Or put up buy support just a hair under the highest bid price.
--Whenever some event may possibly push the price up, try to put some BTC in to support the cause, eat the sell walls, or pick at them, and add support to the buy side. Every little bit helps. Spread the word about what you are doing as well, try to get concerted action from others.

Remember to go into this thread and bump it up to attract more miners.

Not going to work when the frontend is down and people can't even get the info on setting up their miners for it.

Site looks fine to me:
