^ That or you could simply enable the hardware watchdog on the Rpi... : http://pi.gadgetoid.com/post/001-who-watches-the-watcher

The watchdog is on the BCM2708 not in the kernel space.

Do'h!  Shocked  Oh well, i've already got it setup, so I'll just use that. Thanks!  And Dave, any input on the CC question?

I think Dave is working on CC but I have no idea when new CC is coming.  I am waiting to pay by CC too.
683  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB 5 or 50 GH/s from BFL on: August 10, 2013, 07:30:52 PM
Did you want to buy preorder of 5gh/s or 50Gh/s?  you can buy 4.5Gh/s and 60Gh/s in hand.

I'm leaning towards having the new M-board design made here in the states on a quick turn.  If I can't make that happen, I'll supply an appropriate cable so we don't have any confusion.

This is the post I missed, answers my question.

We wont know it in next 2 weeks and most likely we will get new Mboard.  If anyone need it for turn on psu with this thing http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/atx-breakout-board-bench-power-supply-p-1222.html?cPath=1_4
685  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: August 10, 2013, 04:40:26 PM
We already know BFL wont gave refund and paypal wont gave refund after 45 days.

Considering I requested a refund, formally, within 45 minutes of the sale, I'm hoping it should be a simple one-time open-and-shut case, not needing to escalate with Paypal at all.

All things considered, amazed I was able to order at all seeing as how they fired me as a customer.

You will get refund from Paypal for less 45 days and good lucky to you.
686  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: August 10, 2013, 04:17:20 PM
Did anyone do bank CC charge back?

Promptly requested a refund with office@bfl. I imagine there will be no need to escalate that far in this particular instance...

im interested, tough i need to know 2 things Smiley
are they upgraded units (ie, the +100USD upgrade for binned chips), what heatsink do thea have (look inside if you see a aluminium heatsink or if you see copper heat pipes).

if you answer the above count me in on a offer (if im too low, just tell me so i go higher, i desperately want em Tongue)

I dont think these Jal are upgrade to 6.5Gh/s but you can do OC it for free and you need jtag.

689  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is it possible to use the USB block erupter for vanity address generation? on: August 09, 2013, 07:31:05 PM
I'm going to guess "no" since I'm pretty sure vanity address generation involves creating a bunch of addresses in the form of public/private key pairs, and the USB sticks are designed only for hashing block headers.

I might be wrong though.

no, you were right asic miner cant use with vanitygen but maybe FPGA can do it but slow.

Full kit 400Gh/s use 2xPCI-E(2x6 pins) cables for it.
691  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: August 09, 2013, 03:08:01 PM
Regarding the PSU are there any recommendations (full miner with 16 h-boards)?

Are those specifications still valid for the m-board included in the Starter Kit (August)?

  • Compatible with ATX PSU
  • 2 x Ring terminal to Molex-Jr adapter cable

thx.

if this was already answered feel free to link/help ...

You need around 500W psu for full 400Gh/s kit.

I am sure BF will ship out at end of Aug. or before Aug. and BF wont want anyone to cancel orders like buyers who paid big $ for 400Gh/s.

+2 and I pass this one
694  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: August 09, 2013, 03:50:33 AM
Considering these are marketed as "delivered in August", I am curious, if you do not meet the August delivery time, what will you do?

punin already stated a site ago in the thread, that he will manage the given lead time.

So does this mean August delivery is guaranteed? If it is not met will customers get compensated?

are you asking too much already?
695  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: August 09, 2013, 02:15:13 AM
There is no much room in the pricing. If they are >4 weeks late (i.e. deliver late Nov) you are not gonna ROI. If they deliver on time, you will profit ~6k. This is with current difficulty slope and $/btc.

So... it's about the same type of deal as every other ASIC pre-order out there right now..

Is this surprising to you?!

Why would they sell for cheaper when they can just mine with them?

  need cost to pay bills.
696  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: August 09, 2013, 01:55:06 AM
Will you ship out by USPS for Canada?

697  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 08, 2013, 08:47:08 PM
I'm trying to pay with BTC and it's giving me an error connecting to the payment provider.
Some people said work ok and not work for some people.   Can you re-try?  what is exchange rate for btc on bitpay?
698  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 08, 2013, 05:19:42 AM

There's something different about those chips...a clue perhaps to a question I asked on the OP [EDIT] Err. second post?

Asic chip same inside but only package not same.
699  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: August 08, 2013, 12:27:08 AM
What happen if Hboard sold out on site and are you going to restock?
