681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need some advice on: September 17, 2022, 10:13:53 PM
I need some thoughts about this group I've joined a week a go. They are giving free signals for trading and I actually start earning since day 1. Are there really group like this? or Am I on the right trading group. We trade in Batex anf U-koala.
Yes there are many such groups. But I have not seen any of them which is free. They might give a couple of demo signals but eventually they will charge up the money in which they are correct as well. But the results of these signal groups really aren't that good the trades they give only look profitable in their order books practically you will be stopped out even before you hit your target also many times you will get the signal after he has bought so price would have moved slightly eventually affecting the Risk to Reward Ratio of the whole Trade.
682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading gambling in another form? on: September 17, 2022, 06:48:00 PM
Gambling is betting something valuable on an uncertainty outcome right? Isn't this the same with Trading?/i mean even pro traders said out of 10 trades you can lose 4 and win 6, is this not a form of gambling? I had this argument with few of my friends that are traders some hours ago and I will like to here from you all what hou think about this.
If you develop a system and have a record book of your trades in which you can prove a 60% win probability over a sample space of say 100 Trades, then it's definitely not Gambling. Gambling just has 49% probability of winning over a longer term which means there are 100% chances you will end up losing money over a 100 or let's say 1000 gambles sample because of the House Edge. In trading first thing that you can do is have a risk-reward ratio to ensure that you are losing less on bad trades and winning more on winning trades with this even 60% of correct trades can give you 50-60% ROI on your money. But yes if you are doing it blindly just buying and selling then obviously it's nothing less than a form of gambling.
Trying out your best on having that 60% chance of winning rather than on going below 50 but it doesnt mean that you are already doing gambling because as long you do put up any analysis and in depth application of

those things that you do have learned then it isnt really something that you can called gambling. Both things are entirely different because if you do make out some trades without having any analysis
that backs up on it then you are just doing gambling.

Trading does have that risk which is normal because in every investment that we do really engage, then there's always comes a risk.
Yes obviously testing the system is something that can be an exception to the 60% rule that is why my answer started with once you have made the system. I think you are not trading until you have made a system till then you are just experimenting the market. One very insightful thing someone told me about trading is that trading is very boring, because you know the result of your action. If you are buying a coin because it triggered a signal in your system you eventually know that either it will hit the TP in this much time or it will hit this SL in this much time. When you know the result things become boring. It's in gambling that you have n number of outcomes which keeps you interested and glued in front of screen.
683  Other / Off-topic / Re: IT boosts up the economy on: September 17, 2022, 06:44:27 PM
Hello, community
I have a question about how a country gets benefits from freelancing, e-commerce, or any IT skills by its residents people

Take the example of India, it has become the service provider for the whole of the world now. The benefits are the people get jobs despite the efforts by the local government moreover there is no need to setup proper establishments you can just start these things at your home, which means these incomes come even if the governments don't invest on infrastructure. Then this constitutes as export of services which means foreign exchange will flow into the country which is extremely good for any country as it will strengthen their forex reserves. Not to forget you'll get a better educated population as well.
684  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Corruption ok on: September 16, 2022, 09:03:04 PM
In a world of almost 200+ countries, there are trillions of people, and everyone likes to have more money because people wish growing day by day, and they don't care about money coming ways legal or illegal, So there is a big illegal way to collect more money is corruption, what do you think it's Wright?
In this world where money is considered to be above everything, morals, laws, ethics, and everything some people would easily say that yes money is the most important facet but no matter how many arguments you will find in favor corruption at the very root it is obviously a wrong thing to do. There is no way it is justifiable, especially the argument that because those in power are doing it we can do it too. Because eventually, someone has to stop, be it you or that one in power. Because if everyone will behave in an ill-mannered forgetting the business ethics there won't really be any business left for humans to do. Eventually laws are just for help ethics are the things which always keep the business alive, if corruption reaches a certain extent even a normal transaction between two people will be doubted in future.

686  Local / India / Re: Future of remote jobs causing stress on: September 15, 2022, 09:11:48 PM
Hello community as you know millions of people working remote jobs and earning huge money, it is positive step to comfortable life. But is there online work causing stress and disability in body? if yes how to save us, already you know its impossible to reduce attention from a huge money source!!!!!
See the truth is today be it any desk job their Job involves usage of Computers extensively which means even if the job was not remote the person would still be glued in front of a computer for a similar amount of time just in a different city, a different environment basically in an office. So it would have caused equal stress and disability. I do agree that working along with Peers might help you to rejuvenate you a bit as you might chill out with them for some time and relax but that would give equal stress of living in a different city and doing things by yourself staying away from your family. I think nothing can be done about this it's only you who should know how to keep yourself physically and mentally fit. Join a gym or Yoga or any hobby to keep yourselves mentally destressed.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Payment Processors are being used Globally? on: September 15, 2022, 09:03:57 PM
As per my understanding, every country has a payment processing system (both within the country and globally). One of the biggest examples is the SWIFT payment system.

For example in India, National Payment of India owns UPI-based payments which came into existence a few years back and inforced UPI-based transactions which at the moment is a great success in a country where cash based economy still exists as they are instant and do not require any transaction fee.

An example:

If you did not have a penny or you were short of cash UPI was a rescuer as you can add a decimal and pay to the merchant or friend without paying a single penny as a fee, as it is a free service provided by the government.

In the same manner in other countries, there is VISA, MasterCard, or something else but every transaction takes a few days and you need to pay the transaction fee for within and abroad transactions.

As my belief is on Bitcoin and I know it was meant to be a payment processor as incepted still I do not know why it is not listed on that list. Which made me also question other blockchains that are known for instant payment and less fee.

The below showed image is not mine and I do not hod

The sole purpose was to defeat the financial institution and now Bitcoin has become a commodity. Credit and source can be found in the image bottom.

UPI is great actually and TBH there is none other such centralized system working on fiat which can transfer money this easily and is absolutely free. Obviously, only the process is digitized and revolutionary and the underlying currency is still fiat. But trust me when you use it you feel this can be the easiest mode of the payment absolutely hazzle free and absolutely safe as no one can make payment unless they have access to your phone and UPI Pin. It more or less feels like a mycelium wallet with immediate payment and zero fees and I doubt any other country has such a spectacular system. But obviously bitcoin and blockchain are something absolutely different and can't be intermingled with UPI.
688  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Elon Musk is going to jail [x5] on: September 11, 2022, 07:07:36 PM
Actually it's illegal to pump and dump, but it's not illegal to advertise or even post what your heart says, let's say if I buy a coin that I believe will skyrocket I will buy it and put it on my twitter, this can be out of elation or sheer hope that others might buy it as well. Similarly, Musk also did the same, it's just that he is popular and I am not the coin start to pump as well, now nowhere in the tweets till now Musk has shown the one should Dump Doge, and Neither has he told that he has sold all his Doge. So this doesn't even constitute a complete pump and dump because only one element which is the pump is present here and not the dump.
689  Economy / Economics / Re: Which fiat money are you holding right now in case of emergency needs? on: September 11, 2022, 07:01:12 PM
The current war has a huge negative economic impact on the whole world. The Euro has been worth well more than the dollar for many years but they are on par right now and I don't think that things are going well for it, the winter is coming! I'm afraid the inflation of USD will continue for a while and both, USD and Euro aren't great options right now.

You need some money for emergency cases, so, you can't save everything in crypto because it's very volatile, the exchange charges you some fees to deposit/convert and withdraw.
I'm thinking about four currencies to hold for the next 2 years or more:
  • Swiss Franc
  • Norwegian Krone
  • Chinese Yuan
  • Japanese Yen

What are your plans? I want to get an answer, especially from Europeans cause we all lost 12% of our money in a matter of days.
Do people store Fiat money from other countries with them for emergency cases? In my country government does not allow holding any international currency of more than a certain amount unless obviously, you can open a forex trading account, which is not easy to get open for normal retail traders, there are a lot of requirements for that. But yes if you want to hedge the risk then buying such futures is only the available option. Just talking the currencies which can go stronger will be the Chinese Yuan & Japanese Yen, one can even go for the Australian Dollar, it definitely won't be that much affected by NATO's fight with Russia.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 11, 2022, 06:48:18 PM
I think luck can still play a factor anyways, Pakistan for example after defeat in the Group match was lucky to have won against India in Super 4, not to forget the lucky win against Afghanistan which came out of nowhere. But anyways if eventually, it is going to be a super 4 why not just start with Super 6 in the first place? Just because no one will see the matches with Hong Kong?

Lol, You think that all the games which Pakistan played, they were lucky  Smiley  Luck can make you win one match, not all of them them. And after today winner of the Asia cup you will say that the winner was only LUCKY  to lift the cup.

I don't really think I even need to say anything after today  Grin Exactly as I said Pakistan, is just lucky to reach Finals, otherwise the last 3 matches' performance speaks itself about the team. Not even giving a close competition in the last 3 matches.

Anyways, the main attraction is Sri Lanka for sure. what a comeback from them after the one-sided match against Afghanistan, they were good in almost every department in the last few matches, especially with their fielding, what a marvelous energy they are bringing to the field. The sad part is that they would have to play the qualifiers for T20 World cup despite being the Asia Champion, but this makes the cup more interesting now and Australian conditions are going to bring a new challenge altogether for all the teams.

Edit: @JSRaw, Sri Lanka won today despite losing the toss which was most surprising to me.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: Monetarist vs. Austrian Economics: is there a difference? on: September 11, 2022, 06:20:11 PM
Being in Bitcoin, many of us have heard people talk about the value of hard, sound, fungible money. Books like the Bitcoin Standard and other thought leaders in the space discuss Austrian Economics vs. Keynesian. I am studying to take the Securities Industry Essentials Exam and came across the following definitions:

Principal Economic Theories
Keynesian: Theorizes that an increase in government expenditures and a decrease in taxes can prevent or repair an economic recession.

  • The government’s role is significant.

Monetarist: Theorizes that controlling the money supply and letting the market work itself out can curb inflation and is essential for a healthy economy.

  • The government’s role is minimal.

Could an Austrian Economist, such as Saifedean Ammous, be called a Monetarist? Are the two terms interchangeable?
Both the economies have same basic principle that the equilibrium of Aggregate Demand and Aggregate Supply will be maintained in a longer term but they not necessarily be equal at all times and their difference will be the reason of recession or growth. Most of the people believe that Keynesian economics is better because it can marginally reduce the duration of recessions to reduce the hardships being faced by the less privileged in the economy. It is said to believe that the Keynesian economics is optimal as it's a mixture of the capitalist Idea and socialist economy as well. On the other hand, Monetarist economy believes that Market will automatically bring up the equilibrium with it's own forces. I personally feel that keynesian economy is better given that the central authority is not corrupt and actually thinks about people.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 10, 2022, 08:05:33 PM
Well here in Dubai you have to win the toss if you want the advantage.

No matter how big your D*ick is you are going to choke 99% if you lose the toss, unless you are Netherland facing Kiwis or Singapore facing India. It's bound to happen, you just have to accept it. There might be some exception when your opposition shit the bed which is very possible in cricket but having said that Dubai wicket is not suitable for any multiple team tournament at all. We do have last 20 matches numbers, if you still think otherwise then you are fucked as cricket fans.
I have seen this factor as well, but I am not very sure why is this so prevalent in Dubai. Last year it was understandable as the dew was playing a very important factor there and the team batting second was getting a huge advantage. But now here dew is not that much in the ground. Also teams batting first are also winning but yes Winning the toss and choosing the correct team has become really important in Dubai, which obviously sucks. But I don't know what can be changed in the ground for changing this fate. Dubai wicket is quite bad no doubt about that. I think Dubai is the favourite choice for Asia cup because there you will find supporters of all these nations ready to pay huge money so becomes very profitable event for ICC.
It was surprising to see renowned Pakistani batsmen struggling against second string bowlers such as Pramod Madushan and Maheesh Theekshana. And then the spinners (Wanindu Hasaranga and Dhananjaya de Silva) finished the work that was started by the pacers.

These second-string dead bowling did cause India to be eliminated from the Asia Cup  Cheesy

Pakistanis have a habit of spreading such fake conspiracy theories,

And what about the Indians? They think they are the king of cricket because of IPL but the reality is that they can't win against Pakistan and Srilanka.

Don't worry about it. It was a genuine mistake, they made this tournament unnecessary long after the group matches. It should've been knockout but what can we do? Nothing I guess.

I really like this format instead of going straight to the knockout, anyone can beat anyone on a given day and might be lucky to reach the finals. in this format only strong teams will be progressed and weak teams are exposed. I must say, the final should also be best of three, instead of one.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: India as a developed country by 2047 on: September 10, 2022, 07:57:08 PM
I think if we are talking about 25 years ahead, with right set of governance it's a very realistic goal. 25 years is a good enough time to change any nation. It's because 25 years is a time span where atleast two of your school-going population will become the workforce. This means if focused correctly on education these people can become the best brains of the country. Not to forget India is already growing at a good stage only major challenge which we have is Overpopulation which can be turned into an advantage as well if the dependent population can be reduced, second is brain-drain due to which a hell lot of population is moving outside, this needs to be stopped really, third I feel is Lack of cheap healthcare facilities which can be changed easily in the coming years. Given this India can easily become a developed nation.
694  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 10, 2022, 06:53:48 PM
Everyone loves to become a successful being but success definition differs for everyone. Most people see success as being fame and rich. Although money is a huge driving factor for a lot of things and an ultimate measuring stick for whether or not a business is successful but this doesn't fully define success. Success is about claiming and speaking up for what is important to you. Consider these and tell if they are successful

👉👉a rich and a famous man with a broken home
👉👉a rich and a famous man that has failed to impact on others.
👉👉a money corrupt rich and famous man
👉👉a ritualist with great fame.

Although this people are rich and famous but aren't successful at my own part. There is always a shortcut to riches and being famous but success comes through hardwork. There are many rich and famous people who have attempted suicides in their life. If being rich is being successful, then what made them to take such disastrous steps? Sanjay Dutt is a son of a famous politician and is one of the richest celebrities, Sunil Dutt. Still, he is behind lock-up. Is this what we call as success? Many gangstar becomes rich out of crime and corruption but they are not successful in our society. This is part of what causes increasement in crime rate and corruption in the world as everyone want to be rich so as to be called a successful being. A successful man is one who finds his purpose and creates a life where he can fulfill that purpose.

CONCLUSION
Let's stop making money and fame the only measure for success. Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams. Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. Satisfaction and happiness is the true definition of success and anyone without this can not be declare as being successful.
Happiness! That is the only thing that decides how successful you are, for a person born in a slum, getting a decent job in the city and owning a house is all that he can aspire of and could give him utter happiness, for him this is a success. For someone else, let's say who was born in a very big home already success might be starting venture of his own. So success can be relative, fame can also be relative for various people. One should always search for what keeps them happy and when they are able to find what keeps them happy only then they will be able to say that they are successfull.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Bitcoin Traders Arrested Due To Illegal Trading on: September 09, 2022, 05:22:28 PM

The news comes from Bangladesh that 4 people were arrested by RAB-5 (Rapid Action Battalion) for the purpose of illegal bitcoin trading. The news I read is in Bengali, and if I translate the news, then according to the news sources, those 4 people who are placed in Narshingdi are arrested not only for using bitcoin, though bitcoin is illegal in Bangladesh, but they are also being arrested because they are doing some kind of money laundering. According to the news, they first use some illegal and banned dating websites, then from other countries' people take dollars, then they convert those dollars into cash through the p2p method. Finally, they convert that cash into bitcoin again through the p2p method. So Bitocin is illegal, which means they did not pay taxes because of the p2p method, and RAB suspects they are involved in money laundering. So that's the overall news.

Now my closing statement on this matter is that no doubt this arrest is a good job because these guys are scamming people and laundering money, but in this case, the news portal highlights bitcoin that it is illegally traded. What I do think is good. Because they choose illegal paths like dating websites and money laundering, but you can't use balmebitcoin for this. That's my opinion. What do you think about this news? Please share it with us. Thank you.

News source.
The problem with the news website or any country's website is that it will always speak in favour of the government of that country. As Bitcoin is banned in Bangladesh, they have put the whole case as if they are doing illegal activities as they are trading bitcoin. I personally think this became this big of a news also only because bitcoin was involved otherwise such small level money laundering generally go unnoticed.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 09, 2022, 05:18:11 PM
It's seems that Sri Lanka is very near to their win they have more 6 wicket and their run is now 103 at 15over. And Sri Lankan batman Nishanka doing a great performance today got half century run with 117 Strike rate . It's really a disappointing match from Pakistan batsmens . I think the reason of their loss is completely for the Batmens. This match will also decrease their confidence for the final match and it is a plus point for Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka have won the match. From the performance from Pakistan players, it looks like they're good to play against India. With such a good list of players in the squad and scoring 121 runs is a very bad performance. In the previous match against Afghanistan out of some minor mistakes from Afghanistan the match went into the hands of Pakistan. If this is the case we'll see a bad final which will be one sided.
I think the most u thinkable might happen. Sri Lanka might lift the Asia Cup, i was keeping Sri Lanka as the least favourites of winning this world cup as they weren't performing well at all lately. I even ranked them below Afghanistan and Bangladesh but to an utter surprise to everyone they have defeated the best of the teams of Asia. Indian fans are feeling really sad, just those two balls in Pak vs Afg match would have changed the scenario completely for India as rest everything went in India's favour. But now I am betting on Sri Lanka for the Final as well because Pakistan will come with a mental pressure of this defeat in the next match.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 08, 2022, 08:35:22 PM
~
This match is fixed and/or Afghanistan always supports Indians and they want Indians to win. If you see history, this is always the case. You can judge yourself their performance with Srilanka / Pakistan and today's performance against India.

Also, this was the game plan, that Afghanistan will lose badly to India to give India a run rate advantage in case Afghanistan had won the last match against Pakistan but fortunately, Pakistan did not let this manipulation work as they beat Afghanistan and through to the finals.
Another conspiracy theory and what is the point of fixing in your opinion if the results does not matter. Have some common sense before throwing in these theories  Tongue. Do you think there was any spot fixing involved when Pakistan went on to loose 9 wickets and then somehow managed to score the winning runs from an impossible situation and the fight between the Afghanistan and Pakistan players during the final overs as well as the audience riots  which was really unfortunate as people are not willing to take this as a sporting event  Roll Eyes.

I don't understand why everyone talks about fixing when India wins. We all know that India gets some extra benefits from ICC. This does not mean that if they win the match will be fixed. The Indian squad is very strong. And with the help of Virat Kohli's 122 runs from 61 balls, India collected more than 200. Afghanistan does not have the ability to win by batting at a target of more than 200 runs. And naturally, Afghanistan was defeated. I don't see any fixing here. India played well they won.
Pakistanis have a habit of spreading such fake conspiracy theories, they think all the teams involved in  India batted fantastically today don't know whether it was that freedom to play without any pressure of qualification or elimination or what. One thing is for sure, Virat should open more often, I know it's equally difficult to shift Rohit or KL on number 3 but Virat has proven himself as an opener so many times. Also after Bumrah & Shami are back, which should obviously be done before the world Cup. Bhuvi, Bumrah & Shami or Bhuvi, Bumrah & Arshdeep can be tried as 3 pacers, but Bhuvi should not be kept for death, he is primarily a swing and seam bowler, he should be given overs early on to take wickets.

Namaste Group

I have been trading since 2017 and ride a lot in crypto and forex rollercoaster. I earned my fortune in 2020 bull run and lost everything.

I am here to share this bcaz, i get out of that depression frustration and misery.
I have again starting trading and came here to share my past and get some valuable knowledge from fellow traders.

thank you/ dhanyawaad for reading my post.
How did you exactly lost everything? I mean every one of us is down a certain percentage in this bearish time but only a few who were really foolish in their approach are out of the market. Either you might have done hyper active leverage trading or you must have done some crazy investment in LUNA or some NFT which maybe isn't worth a penny now. But I think you should not feel disheartened with this, if the money you made was out of your trading skill it will come back again in the next bull run you just have to be patient enough to wait for another one and keep harnessing your skill till then.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Video Gaming Sector Consumes More Energy Than Bitcoin Mining. on: September 08, 2022, 07:37:06 PM
If you see on relative basis it's true that there are many other industries which are using much more energy than bitcoin or even Cryptos as a sector. Even many industries which aren't that useful itself like the tobacco industry etc. It's just an excuse created by so called environmentalist to show case as if bitcoin is the main culprit in polluting the environment. Video gaming industry is a big money maker for many corporates which is why no one will ever question that for sure.

This is Pakistan,  Ladies and babies

Naseem Shah hit two sixes to shatter the dreams of Indians and destroyed Afghanistan.

What a finish. I have no words right now. Too much excitement  Smiley Smiley
It was a really strong comeback by Afghanistan defending a small total. I was expecting this to be an easy chase for Pakistan and then when i saw the scoreboard they lost 9 wickets and i thought Afghanistan would win the match and ruin my bets as i placed a bet on Pakistan to win considering the low score and Naseem Shah saved the day  Kiss.

So Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play the final right.
What a nail biting finish today of the match. Out of nowhere Naseem made the day for Pakistan. Afghanistan played really well undoubtedly and were almost near the win, maybe the bowler couldn't handle the pressure at the end and went to overdo things. Anyways it's still a long way in future for Afganistan they are now becoming as a 5th big team of Asia which has the capability to defeat the big teams as well. Final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka would really be an interesting one. After the super 4 matches i have to say it's uncertain.
