If you have the time available then posting with a PrimeDice signature. Not sure if you would be able to post enough in your spare time to hit $200, that's about 1100 posts per month at current prices and rates.
I think 1100 per month sounds quite rough, compared to what you'd earn from just having a part time job.
I know he said "Online" but you need to be damn dedicated to reach that constructivepost count

Constructive posts are easy! They can be one-liners or many paragraphs provided that they relate to the topic or context of the recent posts.

1100 posts is easy going if you browse the forum consistently each day - even easier if you get into interesting conversations or debates with people.

The reason why I suggested doing PrimeDice (or the like) is that:

a) it requires no application process or requirement for ID
b) the user is a member of the forum and community therefore familiar with some of the topics that will be discussed

Sure, on of the drawbacks is the faff in converting your BTC to cash, and that the value could vary dramatically but it's pretty good shout for an online job that pays that sort of figure.

1100 posts a month is roughly 35 a day.  Not hard to do every once in a while, but every day seems tricky.  Another good way to turn your BTC into cash is to buy mining equipment and then re sell it.  Just make sure you buy equipment that everyone whats to get their hands on.  Just take a look at place like ebay and the inflated prices people are willing to pay for miners.

You can also make decent money on ebay if you know what you are doing.  I knew a guy years ago that was buying stuff at the dollar store and selling it for insane profits just because what he was selling, people couldn't buy where they were.

Hello, i just received my cube, tried with a 700w psu, leading in starting few seconds, then stopping (psu secure mode). I changed for a, 500W , and wired the pcie to the cube. Unfortunately, same issue. The cube starts few seconds then stops, and the psu falls into security mode for 5 minutes. Have you an idea of what's happening ?

Which specific PSU models?  Not all supplies are equal.

I used this PSU
Cooler Master Thunder 700 W
Corsair 500W CX-80 Plus

The Corsair psu will power it, I'm using the same to power my cube without issue. Does the PSU work without the cube hooked up?  Could be a short somewhere.  If the cube wont even run without the cube hooked up, it might not be getting enough power.

Bad luck... Who doesn't wear their red underwear?  Wink

Been far too much bad luck lately. Think I'm gonna go mine some other coin for a while to make myself feel better about this bad string of luck, LOL!

he's right :O

if you count mt.gox he's close enough so that i regret excoriating his prediction some time ago.
i am disinclined to count mt.gox as a real price, however, so there is room for more contempt.

Well depending on who you talk to, they believe the mt.gox price.  I'm on a few different online forums, one of them has a bitcoin thread that I comment on often.  I have been raked through the coals over the past couple weeks with "I told you so's" It's rather funny actually. They keep posting the typical Bitcoin is dead crap, and are convinced it's going to be worthless any day/hour now.

I can say I never saw it going down like it has, but in the long run, I thinks its a healthy thing to have happened.

Great way to get people to download your book. I'm in, just started to read it.

Looks interesting so far. I'd like to join the raffle.

Cheers!

There was a Nintendo version that came out, you can always play it on an emulator.  There is also a site where you can play it online: http://www.planetmule.com/

I haven't tried the online site yet, just recently found it.  Apparently you can also play it on your Iphone, looks like you have to pay for it though: http://www.gamezebo.com/games/mule-returns/review

Is http://bcx.coin-pool.org even legit? Couple weeks back my computer guy mentioned something about Battlecoin, figured I'd finally try to min it.

It seams like I am the only one mining? LOL!

That makes no sense unless it's not legit.

690  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: February 20, 2014, 04:45:41 AM
For 2.4 BTC a month, anyone can live a decent life in Thailand.

Thanks for Bitcoin, people can live on posting!

I just wanted to sai that BTC is banned in Thailand
but then i saw this http://www.bangkokpost.com/business/marketing/395952/bitcoins-back-in-the-thai-marketplace
It seems they opened an exchange there

But some say it's not allowed! Strange situation they got there!

For 2.4 BTC, one can live a decent life in any Southeast Asia country except Singapore.

So just go for it!
But, you think can get that 8000 post ?

If someone works fulltime on this just like any other job, I think so.

Can a person post 8000 that are worth any substance though?

There are only so many threads and comments to go around. I guess I can see a person posting on threads that they have little interest in, but that just seams like a lot of work.

I do a bunch of online surveys to make a little extra cash.  The surveys that interest me are easy to do and go by quickly.  Then there are the ones that don't really peak my interest.  Those are painful to do and seem to take forever.

I can seeing posting working the same way.

Does anyone have this psu? What are your experiences with it?

While I don't have that exact PSU, I'm running a CX500 and love it.

Corsair seems to be a real quality brand. The guy at the computer parts store I go to swears by the Corsair brand.
692  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Confused about which mining pool to join and stick with. on: February 20, 2014, 01:58:06 AM
I've got a question about switching back and forth between pools.  It seems the longer you mine with one pool the better the payout is.  The other night I decided to mine with BTC Guild for the night as Bitminter was on a real long block.  My expected per block went way down and it's taken me a couple days to get back to where I was. It's actually a bit higher today.

So in the long run, is it really worth while switching back and forth?  Seems to be better off just sticking to 1 pool or am I missing something?

PPLNS has a charge-up/wind-down period, the length of which varies by pool.  Since the last 10 shifts (on Guild and BitMinter) get paid when blocks are solved, your reward starts small (since you only have shares in one shift).  Once you have shares in all shifts you'll see the average block reward similar to a non PPLNS pool.

This is NOT a penalty, and does NOT mean you are making less if you mine infrequently or change pools frequently.  This is because on PPLNS your shares continue getting paid even if you stop mining, until they leave the active shifts.  So when you turn off, you'll be receiving payments, which will gradually decline exactly the way the gradually increased at first.

As such, looking at your pool reported 24-hour rewards on a PPLNS pool is not worth doing until *more* than 24 hours has passed (~30 hours in the case of BTC Guild and ~34 in the case of BitMinter).  I'd say you could do trial runs on pools for short periods then wait for the PPLNS system to wind down, but comparing rewards in a short period of time is pointless since luck will have more influence on rewards than anything unless you're comparing large (2 week+) time frames on the largest pools, and multi-month time frames in the case of small pools.

Thanks for the detailed response. Makes sense to me now.
693  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter.com * Optional Custom Miner, PPLNS, Merged mining, Newbie-Friendly! * on: February 20, 2014, 01:13:30 AM
so is mh/s or gh/s better. I can get ASICMiner Block Erupter USB 336MH for $20

GH/s is better.

Hash rate denominations

1 kH/s is 1,000 (one thousand) hashes per second
1 MH/s is 1,000,000 (one million) hashes per second.
1 GH/s is 1,000,000,000 (one billion) hashes per second.
1 TH/s is 1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion) hashes per second.
1 PH/s is 1,000,000,000,000,000 (one quadrillion) hashes per second.

Conversions

    1 MH/s = 1,000 kH/s
    1 GH/s = 1,000 MH/s = 1,000,000 kH/s
    1 TH/s = 1,000 GH/s = 1,000,000 MH/s = 1,000,000,000 kH/s
    and so forth

To be totally honest, those usb chips are obsolete unless you use them to learn with.  You would be better off getting an antminer U1 which gives you 1.6 to 2.2 gh/s each for around $60 bucks on Amazon.

From what I've read the Antminer S1 is the best bang for your buck right now from Bitmain.

got a question about what the numbers mean on the BE Cube page I'm hoping someone can answer.

I understand what most of them mean but a couple I'm wondering about

Jobs:0001070423 Accepted:0001016945 Rejected:0000000726 (4:6) F1 F2 F3

What do the bold numbers mean?

That 8000 post mark indeed does seem improbable for even the most committed poster.

I'd be happy just to get a few millibits just for posting normally!   Grin

I've been on an online hockey forum for almost 6 years and I only have around 9500 posts. Mind you, I don't post much in the off season.

8000 would definitely take some commitment, and not much of a life.  Cheesy

God dial up connection I can remember getting disconnected every 5 minutes on that stupid stuff.

The worst was when a parent would pick up the phone.  it would usually screw up the bbs for a while and it would piss off the operator.

Dial up really did suck.  You would sit and redial forever because of a busy signal, and then you only had so many hours of access a month.

The internet sure has come a long way.  I was without computer for a few years (partially because of the dial up) and remember my new gf at the time had a cable modem.  I had never seen one before. Needless to say, I went out the next day and bought a computer.

Been running through a lot of games on my Nintendo emulator recently.

Dragon Warrior has to be one of my faves and really takes me back.

Another one was Usurper from the BBS days.

Dragon Warrior - this is classic! Smiley Respect for you that still playing it! Smiley

Usurper? I don't know anything about that one ? Smiley

Usurper was really cool back in the day.  Back when the dial up modem was still used, LOL!

It's basically an online rpg, kinda like D&D

I forgot about Syndicate!

I was playing it for many years. I couldn't resist.

I remember my buddy getting me hooked on it back in the day. From what I remember, I was pretty good at it.  Came across it again a year or so back.  Could not play it for the life of me. Maybe thats why I tend to stick to the Nintendo these days, LOL!
