Have to say World of Warcraft. It's gameplay is huge and you can do anything you want, also game is constantly changing so you can never get bored of it. Next one would be Skyrim.

In the list of my favorite ones there is a little-known Arx Fatalis.

Heroes of M&M, +99999 !! Best multiplayer game I ever played and you can play 8 players on 1 pc! AMAZING

Very good adventure! Just walking around was quite hard but story was exciting!

For me Red alert 2 was very enjoyable, maybe PES2006 Too.,

You can download Lemmings The Tribes for free and you just need to use a Dos-box.

Dragon Warrior has to be one of my faves and really takes me back.

Dosbox - run old dos games under windows xp/7/8 32/64 bit and on other OS too
[Windows FreeBSD Fedora Gentoo Linux Mac OS X OS/2 RISC OS Debian Solaris]

and after you install DosBox just run it. Virtual Ms-Dos console will welcome you (alt+enter fullscreen)

just mount dir with game/games like:

Z:\>mount c d:\rd2

Just look at example: I download Rick Dangerous 2, unpack, and copy into d:\rd2    (remember, Ms-Dos shows folder name only up to 8 letters, if longer dos will show it as "abcdef~1")
I mount dir d:\rd2 into virtual disk c onto DosBox.
Now just go to C: and run a game!!!!

I remember my buddy getting me hooked on it back in the day. From what I remember, I was pretty good at it.  Came across it again a year or so back.  Could not play it for the life of me. Maybe thats why I tend to stick to the Nintendo these days, LOL!
