681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: March 22, 2024, 11:25:54 AM
Reason why some people is addicted in gambling is because there are not financial buoyant and they feel like it is only gambling that they will make money so that is why many people who is addicted in gambling always gamble so that they can be able to earn a living through it why the more their gambling the more they are losing and the more they are spending their money so it is good for me to calculate the total amount of money we will spend in gambling weekly or monthly so that we will not experience much logs in gambling, day today people who does not have a work take gambling as occupation and the source of revenue that is why they addicted gambling member Desire than people who is not addicted in gambling
actually it's true. And also it's easy to become addicted to gamble mostly when you don't have a side hustle that will be taking much of your time, for a jobless person that thinks gamble can make him/her become rich it's fat lie. Gamble is not a means of making quick money, incase a gambler is doing it he will likely get addicted at the end.

Gambling addiction is easy to harness if a player isn't capable of controlling his actions. Responsibility includes being able to accept the losses as we do the wins. When a player loses money and insists on winning back the exact money, he'll easily get addicted. Hence, financial status or working class could be tagged as a contributor, but that's not to be generalized. Gamblers with a good source of income, still fall prey to problem gambling, due to their inability to control themselves towards chasing losses. When a gambler is not concerned about making money he'd have a better gambling experience. Winning money helps in bringing us back to the casino, but not all. These days players have learnt their lesson and chosen to gamble for fun purposes. It feels better than ending up sad after losing out in the name of chasing money via gambling.

As you said, Su-asa, it's a big fat lie to make enough profit in gambling. The disagreement comes into play in line with jackpots. But delving deeper into the concept of a casino's jackpot will take up lots of time to explain. Marketing is one aspect of the jackpot idea. Yes, it looks like the winner has been made financially, but it's not completely favorable on the gambler's side. The casino gains bigger profits due to this, because gamblers who disagree that gambling doesn't guarantee financial freedom, will jump on the jackpot cruise and gamble away all their funds, hoping for the day they'll win it. When someone else wins it, the desire increases, thereby fetching more funds to the casino. Remember the winner doesn't get satisfied, he'd go back looking to win another jackpot. It's quite deep and shouldn't be stressed. What matters is staying responsible.

Maybe that's the case for people that are lead by their emotions, I think that rather than training to be emotionless, why not embrace those emotions and at the same time and not be a slave to them, you're probably better off that way since that shows class rather than being an edgy teenager trying to bottle it up. That's a really low end if you ask me and it shouldn't be that way, maybe make it 10% if you're not earning 6 digits a month so you can make the most out of your gambling habit, 1% will only matter when the number is in the millions up to billions of income so don't do that to yourself, be generous when it comes to your habit at the least, if you're in control of that anyway, you won't go overboard so gamble away. If you're consistently gambling at 1-5%, it's still probably and addiction although an unsatisfying one especially if you don't make a lot of money.

Getting emotionless isn't the goal, controlling, at least, how it affects our thoughts is the point. We can't go, all, emotionless. It'll affect the brain of the person. Concealing our pains, won't heal the injury. It puts a thorn in the flesh of the player or gambler. Where he may not figure out ways to treat his pains. Dealing with it is better than claiming it never happened or existed. Trying to know ways to handle the emotional problem helps the player to get over it and adapt to the right healing method. However, gamblers must be emotionally intelligent to embrace their emotions. Not everyone is trained to think like you did, on your write-up. Growth is a big factor in behavioral change. They may have been trained to bottle up their emotional problems.

Changing such an adult may not be simple. However, it's helpful you stated this, for players to understand their emotions. A player who neglects his emotions may feel he'd never achieve his goals in gambling and another life target. Consistent emotional tensions can lead to depression. Lossing all the time feels painful and erupts the thoughts of rejection on a gambler. Thereby enlisting the periods of losses on his brain, whenever he's alone, and helpless. In a nutshell, the lost money should be moderated, and the limits shouldn't get bypassed. Thereby, enabling a minimized painful thought on the gambler, he may not have to bother with his lost money anymore. As it's not enormous to get him worried, emotionally.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: March 22, 2024, 07:58:29 AM
I recommend your friend t seek professional help. You can also encourage him to seek therapy or counseling and join support groups. He is stuck on the cycle of trying to recover his losses by betting even more. He should set limits and find healthier ways to cope with stress. Recovering from gambling addiction requires commitment and perseverance, so important to let him know that he is not alone, that there are people who care for him and want to see him recover and overcome his addiction.

Gambling addiction is chronic, and its healing process consumes time. Nobody undergoes this process with no long-lasting trauma. Unless the bond between the addict and his friend isn't strong, they can forgo the painful thoughts of the healing process. Therapists due to work and one rule that states, "remember you are not the cause of the player's trouble" don't stress themselves thinking about the pains of the addict, added to it, the therapists don't spend lots of time with the addict. Unlike a loved one who worries over the wellbeing of a friend, and may spend nights and days with him, he'd undergo lots of depression during the period. For the rule stated above, it's not right that a friend suffers pain or gets affected by a gambler's addiction. The healer is free and wasn't the cause of the trouble. Although we are humans, and lots of our thoughts are reflexive, we'll find ourselves getting worried over it.

That's why referring him to a therapist is a superb idea. Because the pains don't register in the therapist's brain, he's the right candidate for handling the healing process. However, not everyone is capable of paying for a session, an alternative method plays a vital role. This is the idea you wrote above, letting him remember that he's loved. Telling him he's wrong may not work, hence trying to teach him his game is not effective. Concealing our intentions works best, working alongside him to guide him will build an interpersonal relationship between the gambler and his friend, to a point where the addict, depends on his friend for advice and gambling techniques. The goal is to let the addict lead the process, then hijack his thoughts or strategies and replace them with ours, as a friend.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 21, 2024, 04:28:38 AM
It is such a shame that most gamblers get the wrong perspective of gambling and this propels them to mistake gambling to be a form of investment that you can use to multiply your fortune and this makes them to take risks that they wouldn't ordinarily take on a normal day. It's important for people to be fully educated on the risks involved in gambling before they even start gambling, perhaps this would help them make better financial choices when it comes to their gambling life.
Yes that is what I want to said. Most of the time most of the gambler choice the wrong path of gambling they fall into trap of greediness and that's why this choose gambling as there income source and as a result there life in a risk because that time they stake their fund even then they face loss or cross their afford to lose. And we see most of the gambler who have habhit like this those all are in a bad condition in the life they never get the healthy life.

First off, they'll find themselves in problem gambling. They'll face too many struggles while on their gambling journey. Disappointments, depression, self-doubt, and emotional tension revolve around the player's thoughts. A gambler who gives in to the fact he'd be rich via gambling, figure out later how bad his life has become. Many get reminded by friends that their lives are getting worse daily. The gambler may never notice this in his entire days of gambling. He focuses on generating money for gambling. Neglects other important aspects of his life. His troubles get beyond his understanding at the moment, he can't provide funds for gambling. His productivity may have dropped drastically, wherever he works.

It's disappointing, yes, but the fault goes to ignorance. They were introduced to gambling in the wrong way. Imagine a gambler who joined the niche, because he loves Bruno Mars and tries to do whatever he does, including wearing similar tattoos. He'd go into debt. The reason or enforcer is crucial. Most players who got into gambling problems had the wrong orientation on gambling. That's why they act the way we see them behave. The attitude is not out of their control. Hence, a third party or friend has the responsibility to drive them away from the habit. They need someone else in the driver's seat of their life.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: March 21, 2024, 04:07:46 AM
The issue of losing money in gambling happens to everybody, and some people show there history of losing money. You will be shocked at the amount they have lost but they never gave up because, as they are getting better, they are also winning. They have stayed long in gambling so they know exactly what to do at a particular time. people like that When you tell them you are losing money, they will just smile but you might not really know what is behind that smile until they tell you. One thing people don't understand about gambling is that it is seasonal and there are seasons when it will be good for you. During these seasons, you will experience a lot of losses.

People expect to much from gambling and that is why they are always complaining because the truth is that you can not always win so if you can not handle the depression that comes with gambling, it will just be better to let the whole thing go so as to avoid complaining about how gambling is not favorable. That is how real gambler's behave regardless of the outcome, we are always ready to accept any result, either winning or losing.
I still think that when they do lose at gambling but continue to gamble it means that there is something that they managed to get. Because in the end, apart from the material benefits of money, there are other situations that are beneficial to ourselves such as the loss of a burden in terms of stress that makes us feel more comfortable or provides its own pleasure after gambling regardless of whether it will lose or win in the end.

This is because when talking about defeat and victory, it is certain that the ratio of defeat will be far greater than the ratio of victory considering that this is a game that has been arranged in such a way that the bookie makes a profit but that does not mean that we get a loss because as we know for the bookie this is indeed a business for profit but for us as gambling players this is a luck-based game even though in fact this luck is also prepared and indirectly arranged by the bookie.

The house edge is against the gambler, with only 2% of profits being among the best in the market. A gambler doesn't have enough chances of making profits off the house than the house does on him. Hence, gambling is a place to lose money in return for fun, not funds. People should better remove the letter "D" and focus on playing for the amazing leisure gambling offers to gamblers. Anything else is an act of chasing losses. The game portrays wins on the winning dashboard and doesn't show more of losses. The big losses are not shown to us gamblers. This is a sign that the house is after the money and works hard to psychologically manipulate players to continue trying. (Players in this context, are those who are in the game for money) If all the losses are shown on the leaderboard, they'll be no space to show the wins.

While they watch the leaderboards of funds issued to gamblers, they'll try harder to win too. Why the casino does that isn't asked or questioned by us, it's mainly marketing. Nobody hears about it when one loses lots of money gambling, like when they win a jackpot. The casino tries to advertise it on different platforms. We only see on social media about people who lost millions gambling and end up not believing it because an influencer posted it. Gamblers trust the casino a lot, not bad, but in a game as uncertain as gambling, one shouldn't invest all their time, trust, and money, and expect more money. That's a nightmare. Nothing feels bad like not reaching or getting what we had in mind to achieve. A colossal amount of gamblers swim in a pool of disappointments, because of their expectations. Only a set of gamblers don't get manipulated by the house, the fun gamblers.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 21, 2024, 03:48:24 AM
I would assume it must have been a reflex decision for him because it could happen to anyone where you see a gambler suddenly takes a rash decision to stake on a game and such decision will even make you think they are going crazy. If he had lost that money, he would have packaged his shame and lose home  Grin, because it was really a huge risk he took to stake his money on a live game which the opposite team are already wining with two goals. I can take such a risk but will totally get upset if the game go against me.

The team is an important factor, not all teams are worth such risk. But as you said he did that out of love for his team, he didn't analyze the game. Yet he won. That's a shocking part of the story, he'd feel better and happier. I think that's what gambling is about, doing what others won't think of trying. People who gambled on Man U to win before the game started may have lost hope after conceiving two goals. Another factor is that he had to prove it to his friend. I've made such a statement in the past, but didn't wager on the prediction, but the player scored as I said to a friend.

Most times when watching a football match, the settings and performances of some players, a viewer will easily detect who will score or not. Maybe the same thing happened to the Op's friend, he has observed some moves from his team and had the trust they'll win, regardless of the scores. Gamblers need to follow their instincts, not all the time. Most times we feel like a complete failure after appearing fully sure of a specific prediction, which ends up returning void. It's a win-or-lose thing, but some mistake ends up getting annoying. Imagine after telling your friends, a particular player will score, and he didn't. They wouldn't listen when next we want to talk to them on a game. However, gambling is a risk, and we must accept it.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake and Bruno Mars An Example of How Gambling Addiction Can Affect Anyone on: March 21, 2024, 03:26:23 AM
The lesson to learn is that gambling addiction is not respecter of Gender, economic status, race, nationality, religion. It will mess you up, bring shame and disgrace to you if you don't abide by the rules of responsible and do all you can to avoid it.
Indeed. Anyone can become addicted and be drowned in debt regardless of your status if you play without limit.

Letting yourself gamble using a borrowed money is not an advisable thing to do.

It's just one of the few rules that a gambler should know before playing. However many of us just ignored it resulting to a deep problem if they're already too hooked.

The gambling rules or strategy centers, mainly, on self-discipline. Society would think that only jobless or irresponsible gamblers borrow to participate in gambling. But, any player, like mentioned above, will make such a mistake. Reasons may differ, but the goal is more money. But, going into debt in gambling to clear bills or win big to pay for a debt is a deeper level of trouble. However, the celebrity may settle his debts after all his business is set and done. Yet, it'll keep him less financed for another big move. He owes a huge amount of money. He'll have fewer amounts left to clear those bills. Moreover, the problem would be on his fans and followers, who may try what he did, or use him as an example for getting in debt.

He's more like a streamer with people who trust and look up to him for life lessons. If celebrities, openly get addicted, because I'd call this addiction, and eager to win money, gambling. It'll affect lots of naive players who have nothing left on them to try out the method being portrayed by these celebrities. Not knowing that the star's team will take care of his troubles and that he could be free from addiction. Unlike his followers who may not have anybody to look into their fight. This is deceit. However, it remains the follower's fault who tries to mimic whatever their role models do, good or bad. I think influence is a big factor to consider when discussing gambling addiction.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 20, 2024, 06:21:05 PM

When you are emotional, your mind will be confused and you will not be able to think clearly. That's why when you're emotional you can make unreasonable bets. I once experienced a situation where I won a big prize but I only used a small bet. I was so emotional that I used all my winnings to bet on bigger bets. And the result is as you guessed, I really lost my money. I should be able to make a little money from small bets. But emotions cost me money and also the prize.

I was expecting that you are emotional on personal matters when you place the losing but rather than being emotional by just missing to bet big on a winning bet. I think it’s not emotional but rather greedy because you crave for more big wins after winning huge multiplier but with small amount that result to small return.

Gambling while emotional is one thing I can’t comprehend for people that doing this(including me) because why we need to resort on gambling while our emotion is down. There’s a lot of other things that we can do to boost our emotion.

I think he was overexcited that's why he had to wager back all the money he'd won that day. Sometimes, when we get excited it leads to mistakes, even in events not relating to gambling. We find ourselves making promises we may not have made in a normal emotional state. Hence, gamblers get excited after winning big with a smaller amount and tend to try more and win again. However, once a player gets emotional in his games, it should be attributed to losses. Greed as you said, also plays a role in affecting the wins of gamblers. There are stages to how gamblers react in gambling. If a player happened to have lost all his funds, he'd get emotional like a player who had a plan for his funds but gambled them away.

These thoughts running through the brains of the gamblers affect them emotionally, and it's more like a reflex action. That's why you wouldn't understand or realize why it's happening. To boost back the emotions to get stable, a gambler needs to have some fun elsewhere. Gambling doesn't make him happy anymore. Hanging out and playing fun games will revive the player. Although he'd still go back to gambling, his state of mind will be better, provided he gets enough fun, after experiencing an emotional meltdown via gambling. They're players who boost their emotions through gambling. Due to the fun, they gain while gambling. When they get demoralized, maybe, elsewhere they'll come home and gamble for fun and get happy. Being emotional all the time leads to depression, then addiction. So, players who are now getting emotional should work on it and stay safe.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: March 20, 2024, 06:01:02 PM
When it comes to self-control, it's a little difficult and long before we can apply to ourselves, it's easy to say that this should be done or should be thought this way, but in reality, it's hard to do especially if someone is emotionally unstable or has a history of overthinking. It's hard to control our emotions that's why so many people or health professionals offer us free seminars on this, so we know what we need to do to improve ourselves. You say, once we learn how to handle our emotions properly, we can make better decisions, we can think better when we are in difficult situations like gambling.

but this is only easy to say, of course gamblers who gamble will not easily be able to control their emotions, because when gambling everything can change instantly from one moment to another. because gambling has a strong temptation gamblers who gamble have a target at the beginning before gambling, but when they are gambling, there is a possibility that their goals or motives and targets will change, therefore it is very difficult to control their emotions when gambling.

Therefore, we must be able to control our emotions when gambling, because this will determine the future and it is clear that if we cannot control our emotions then bad things can happen, such as huge losses. Basically, gambling is carried out on one's own actions so if you can't control your emotions then you should be able to accept the risks that will occur and conversely, if we can control our emotions then everything will be fine.

Great idea, angrybirdy, talking to people about self-control with no lectures on ways to achieve it is a waste of effort. When a person isn't prepared to practice what he's been taught, he'll will fall prey to losses, while gambling. Since no service is available, everywhere, to handle gamblers on self-control, gamblers need to do it themselves. Players who invest time in deep learning on self-control, won't forget easily to maintain strong self-control in gambling. The process every gambler faces in gambling happens quickly and they move ahead to catch up with the game. Not realizing that it's quite difficult to make up for the expectations we had before starting out for the day.

Players with self-control will easily figure this out and focus on stopping the session and waiting for another moment. While the naive gamblers would chase it till the bitter end. Where they'll have nothing left on their bankroll. The urge to chase this loss is quite strong, and gamblers must be prepared to get hold of their emotions. As it's in control of this urge, players also need to master how it works. Staying intelligent emotionally is more crucial than picking games to book. Gamblers are easily broken when they're losing. And they won't control this because they're lost, already, and play only for the sake of getting back what they've lost. Erupting new troubles for the player and more heartbreak.

690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 20, 2024, 03:30:08 PM
No one will see risk and what does not have risk and choose to go by the risk pattern in anything, we are only taking some of these risks because we lack the ability to alternatives and have to go by the only option available with the risk involved, poor people or rich gambler all takes risks and cannot help in many ways to avoid this as long as they are into gambling, we only have to make sure that the ones we are taking aren't beyond the capacity to what we can afford to.
The risk must be justified, and it doesn’t matter whether you are poor or rich, this will not determine how successful you can be in gambling. And if we talk about who has the right to take more risks, then with regard to winnings this remains unchanged, the level of risk does not depend on whether you are rich or poor, if the player hangs up the risks, then he will lose more, this is all he will achieve in taking more risks approach.

Risk isn't meant for folks in a specific financial status, anybody can choose to follow the risky aspect of gambling. However, it's not easy to gamble as a low roller and wonder about the right time to make a risky move. The high rollers, consistently wager huge amounts of money, thereby opening opportunities for winning big. Both the high and low rollers, need to be watchful of the game to determine when is necessary for a risk. So as to win a reasonable amount. Unless the gambler is focused on wagering a small amount, he's not meant to go higher than their usual wagering amount. Players who have in mind to hit it big, can try once a while for luck and see if it'll work out.

While the high rollers have a better chance of being called the risk takers, they also make loads of mistakes. Due to the impulse in them that pushes or drags them to wager more, due to the amount on their bankroll. Gamblers need to be smart and principled on whatever strategy that suits them. No need to go hard for what isn't easily reachable. The odds are against the players, casinos don't care who is rich or a low roller. Many rich folks lost a lot in their quest for huge money via gambling. Some ended up in debt. Gambling isn't fair for any player; hence players must be observant of the type of mistakes that await them. High rollers also must respect their limits and obey every reasonable strategy they use in gambling.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 20, 2024, 03:01:42 PM
The question would be if your friend would do that for another team, for the sake of gambling. However, that's patriotism and passion for his team. Personally, I wouldn't do that considering the analysis of Liverpool players, it'll be hard to accept that they'll lose out on the game. And Man-U his team has been performing under average recently, which isn't the right decision for anybody. His instinct was quite right and accurate, thereby, igniting the feeling in him to do that next time. Gambling is fun when supporting our team, regardless of how down bad for scores they are on the pitch. But we all need to do that sparingly so, as not to end up losing all our funds. One may have seen that and would want to try it out. Which is a bad idea.

I could remember friends being laughed at for betting against their team. That's wrong from the perspective of other gamblers. Yet, if one feels his team wouldn't win, he can stake against them and win. Instead of ending up feeling sad about the game, entirely. The team lost and his money was gone. So, players shouldn't be blinded to wager only in favor of their team. They also need to check the strength of the other team before wagering lots of money. That doesn't change the fact we are a fan of the team. It's just what people around us would say and laugh over it, but what matters is our emotions and money. Being real to the game, and not just picking sides, even when they're losing.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: March 18, 2024, 04:05:26 PM
Depends on which of the two happens first. A gambler, if doesn't have one for wins, should always have a limit for their losses, and when they reach that limit, they should stop gambling immediately because if they don't, they are going to lose all they have and that isn't a good practice.

When it comes to wins, there shouldn't be a limit to that, but when you see that you have won a sum significant enough for you, you should stop gambling right there and either withdraw the funds or get the platform closed for that time because if you keep gambling after getting a win, you will eventually lose it back to the house and this happens with almost every single gambler in the industry.

You are right, a gambler feels better spending his money on other utilities than wagering it on the casino alone. After the game, he wouldn't feel nice or better. So, if a gambler is sure he wouldn't make any other significant win, after winning or losing, he should take a break and rest, as any further moves will result in more losses. No idea about gambling is accurate, no matter how adequate it looks. Gamblers need to understand this and focus on being careful about their spending limit. A player with a limitless gambling habit, ends up risking all his money and may end up broke in the game. However, players who depend on the casino for wealth don't care about this, they go ahead gambling with no prior knowledge of what they are doing. Which causes them to chase loss and get addicted in the process.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Fire Your Best Employee Who Is Addicted To Gambling ? on: March 18, 2024, 03:51:16 PM
It wouldn't be wrong if the company discussed taking him to therapy. Because if you fire him, your competitor will hire him to skyrocket their sales. In your context, the employee happens to be a salesman, and they're in high demand. Everyone needs to push up their sales and make high profits. If the habit hasn't affected his productivity, there'll be no need to take him out of the company. He's a good asset to the company. I don't think the company will be making the right decision by removing the employee from the business. Moreover, if the board decides to stick to the company's deal or contract.

It's not wrong to fire him, especially when they are other competent salesmen to replace his position. Because a gambling addict can cheat on the company and sell higher than the normal price to customers, thereby reducing the credibility of the company on the market. It's either the company helps him get well or sacks him. I'd want to heal the fellow, since he's known the in and out of the company. It would be wrong to chase him out of the company, he could go and reveal lots of secrets to our competitors, on ways to bypass my business or company. The cooperate world is filled with loads of competition and managers need to be careful with how they deal with employees.
694  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 18, 2024, 03:18:46 PM
It is best you gamble when necessary not because you want to chase your loss and win back you money, many are victim of this circumstances and for me is a bad practice and this might make you not to employe your gambling skills and roles because you inhast in your decision making. What is your opinion on this?
this is called greed, when you chase returns for losses, you will only waste your money, it will be difficult for you to return it, so start thinking realistically, when you lose you have to stop with the capital you have prepared from the start, don't until yGamou gamble with too much money.  Mentally sharpening when gambling is part of gambling responsibly, don't let carelessness and greed make you even poorer, remember gambling will be very fun if you win.

Gambling for the sake of recovering our losses isn't the right move as a player. It only diminishes the drive for fun and fuels the need for money. Once money has been made the first priority the gambler is compelled to do anything possible to win his game. Psychologically, he'd be wondering why he's not able to make changes and win big. But, what is most crucial is cautious of our wagering attitude, not to hurt ourselves in the long run. It's crucial to stay ahead of the moves and read up on relevant strategies necessary to make a good gambling habit while in a session. Most gamblers neglect the need to advance their gambling knowledge and get sidetracked by the love of money.

Which is meant to be a common factor in the gambling niche. Where players are not meant to get blindly driven to make wrong decisions. However, such behavior circulates amongst naive players who are still looking for big funds to settle a financial problem. Hence, they joined the gambling niche for the sake of money. And was never advised wisely by a friend on the importance of staying responsible. Whatever requires money and mental stability should be handled with utmost care and management. Nothing else should make a newbie player gamble aside from having fun. If he's in need of money, gambling isn't the right niche for him.

Dont underestimate professional help. Therapy, support groups, and treatment are essential. Its about giving victims the tools, techniques, and resilience to rebuild. Not a sprint, but a marathon. Persistence, support, and firm love can make all the difference.

Those experts are actually doing their job well because they know what exactly you need to do and they know how to approach you but there's something we can't deny those experts are mostly too costly and only a few places you can find to ask for professional advises which kinda hard for the others to look for it and ended up causing more troubles with their addictions because they don't know how to cure it once they get addicted and most likely they don't know what to do anymore and just simply return to do the same loop over and over again every day.

Don't know how much it costs for a therapy session in your place or town, but I've confirmed from multiple sources that it's expensive. Yet, a relationship with the therapist also matters. It's risky paying a whooping amount and the addict continuously misses therapy. The healing process for an addict requires time and help from within before seeking a professional for help. The family of the gambler must be sure their ward is ready for therapy, if not, they should try to get him to calm down and think about receiving help. If he's not yet interested, there is nothing a therapist can do. Those professionals are limited to the cooperation of the addict. Hence, it's excellent for home therapy with a loved one to commence, first, before any other healing method.

This helps reduce expenses on the addict's family. Thereby, saving the ward, despite waiting for the right moment to visit a therapist. A family that's not buoyant enough can end up demoralized by the funds needed to visit a professional and end up not giving proper treatment to their ward. So, anybody can represent a therapist in such a case. What's needed is a relationship with the addict, a person who can talk to him and he'd listen. That's the core root of therapy, if this stage is not achieved, the whole point of therapy is a waste, whether with a professional or not. Every addict needs family support to heal.

Indeed gambling is something that can cause some issues and also it can be a big time sink, even to those that manage their finances well.

For example you can play blackjack strategies for hours on end, even if you play with 0.5$ bets at a time. Maybe even in the worst case scenario your losses won't be ruinous. But the thing is also that wasting your time trying to develop a strategy or observe gambling results over time can have an impact in your life as well in other ways that can have severe effects like in relationships, personal life, jobs etc. If this starts affecting your life then you might end up deeper in the hole getting actually addicted in a way that can ruin your finances too.

Gambling is like a video game, player don't easily drop the console on an serious mission. Some online gamblers are video gamers, and they see gambling is a way of getting reward for their time. When time is a luxury a gambler can play for how long he wishes, but in the middle of an event, gambling will be a wrong choice. I've watched many addicts who can't control their need to gamble. They spend time looking out for means of multiplying funds with gambling. Players do this because they've seen it work. Not minding how much profits has been made. The single prove that they can earn in gambling, clouds the player's mind to continuously participate in gambling. However, those thoughts are not easily erased and most people still stick to squeezing out time to gamble.

Since the gambler is not quite in a good position to gamble, he only wagers money carelessly, without calculating, hoping on luck. Gambling requires luck with lots of concentration. Don't know why you mentioned that those who observe the gambling machine will get affected. It seems to me as an excellent gambling habit, to observe and understand how the slot machines work in providing results to gamblers. Every gambler also need a strategy to stay in control of his game. I don't think it's a waste of time, if you understand it accurately. Gamblers learn through it and even perform better in critical thinking during work hours. Could be you have a different perspective on this matter.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake and Bruno Mars An Example of How Gambling Addiction Can Affect Anyone on: March 18, 2024, 06:22:03 AM
Even though Bruno Mars is an example of an artist who does not represent a responsible gambler, because he has a debt of $50 million USD to MGM, he is worth $175 million, and if you subtract the debt he still has $125 million - that's still a lot of money. In fact, he can actually pay off this debt in just a short time, because he is one of the most famous singers in the world and he can earn millions of dollars or more if he goes on a concert tour to many countries.
So there are some people who, even though they are crazy about gambling, are supported by their huge income. Even casinos tolerate them, because they believe that he can pay it all if he wants.

Did you get your analysis of his wealth on Forbes? if yes, it's just numbers, the owner can decide to change the figures at any moment. That doesn't mean Bruno owns the cash value of the money he's worth. He wouldn't borrow to gamble if he had the funds. Nobody feels good about owing money, if he has it, he'd pay the debts off. In your last line, are you saying the casino lent him some funds to gamble or let him play with no money? However, it's not easy to deal with too many losses, but celebrities are big-time gamblers. Not all visit the casino, most prefer gambling amongst fellow celebrities in their crib. Yes, he's getting those loans because of his intellectual assets; his songs.

After a big shutdown on a show, continually, he'd be able to clear of his debts. Come to think of it, he borrowed to gamble and earn big enough to carry out a project. Artists depend on loans to finance their music, so if they make lots of money through the music, they pay off, and then go back with a little amount of money. He also needs to live up to the standard of his fame. The lifestyle is expensive and stressful. Gambling is not a nice idea for the artist, if he's being inspired by Drake, then he's getting it wrong. Because Drake is a brand ambassador and has nothing huge to lose. He's promoting a casino and enjoying his habit, it's a win-win for both sides. Imagine he didn't take the loan; he may have been debt-free and looked for other means of raising millions of dollars to settle his problems.

Yes, I will actually tell you that it is a smart move. If only you use just 1% or even up to 5% of your gambling post because it will enable you. We stand the pressure of your loss. It affect your mental health that your money is going down Before you lose more and more you would definitely have a little profit that will cover up everything you have lost most people don’t usually follow this strategy some people gamble everything in the portfolio some people gamble 50% some people even gamble everything and add more for their own personal money from their bank to gamble it’s not just a wise idea. Gambling is not competition is something that someone do wisely .
When a person or gambler tries to get more money from gambling, the amount of money used in gambling will increase. And when the amount of money used in gambling increases, he will naturally move away from gambling. His greed will increase and he will rush towards addiction. Using a small amount of money in gambling allows a gambler to engage in risk free gambling which results in a gambler making better decisions. If a gambler bets up to 10 percent of their income on gambling I think they can practice responsible gambling. If the amount of money less used, the amount of risk will also be reduced.

The amount of money a gambler spends depends on the weight of his income. Players with higher income can decide to shift it up to 5% or more, which amounts to a huge amount of money for a low roller. For a high roller, it's fine to wager such an amount per month, a low roller who wishes to try it out may end up regretting his actions. Because his bankroll will run dry. Hence, as a player, it's crucial to understand that the income earned plays a vital role in gambling. Wagering an amount quite too big to affect our financial stability, isn't right. The money could be lost, and the long night thoughts begin. Stabilizing and maintaining how money is spent while gambling boosts the confidence never to worry about losing the money. If he loses, he's not affected, as it's a spare cash.

Gambling with a smart strategy creates a vision for a gambler to observe the game he's into. At some point, if he wishes to embark on a risky session, he can do that calculative. Maybe accumulated spare cash is enough to multiply the game to a high amount. However, it's risky, but not enough to affect the emotions of the players, as he's ready for any outcome. Some players who wager a whole part of their money, face the trouble of dealing with loss. On a lucky day, they may also win big. Yet what matters is being able to withhold the funds after the big win. Not spending back into the game, helps the player at least to take a rest outside of the casino and enjoy his winnings.

Well bro technology brought more gambling addicts into this sector since it became so easy to play games and with so little amount 🥰, technology made it possible for anyone to gamble from anywhere in the world, I could be on my casino app in the toilet, I don't need to be at the bet shop and my parents doesn't even need to know that I'm doing it, the future is simple more gambling addicts, more teenagers going into gambling at younger age, more losses and so on.

Sad truth, especially the last statement that you've said, more young generation that will be attached to gambling as it' easier for them to access just by simply visiting the site orthe apps and install it to their device, they can play without any notice, and with how parents are so busy nowadays, they just let their kids playing or surfing all over the internet, not knowing what's the danger is waiting for those young minds,

technology can develop more attachments to the house and more and more casinos that will be offered all over the internet as it's really rising as the technology is being use very well to create engagements and allurings offers in every corners of all available channels in the internet.

Additionally, technological development contributes to the enormous carelessness in gambling among professionals and newbie players. Gamblers play in the wrong state of mind. Like the instance, above, gambling in the toilet doesn't guarantee a right state of mind. The player only wants to get busy while using the restroom. He wouldn't focus on the game, compared to when in a place meant for gambling. If a player who decorated a particular room for gambling, alone, visited the room he'd prepare himself to be in the right state of mind. Because his mind has been designated to focus whenever on the room, he'll always play with caution. The same applies to some gamblers who use the casino, those who acknowledge the environment will mind the game and play right.

While those who don't value gambling strategically due to anxiety and loss, play and complain, the responsible gamblers focus. However, let us not claim that addiction wasn't in existence before the emergence of online casinos. But it wasn't as it is today. Could it be attributed to population? or technology alone. Today, lots of gamblers are addicted to visiting physical casinos, but online casinos harness lots of problem gamblers. Young teenagers find themselves addicted, due to no restrictions. Physical casinos moderated this and managed to allow only adults to play games. This helped in reducing the high rate of addiction for offline casino players.

There's this friend of mine who was into gambling. This guy was introduced to betting and got addicted to it for years, and at this level he has gone into virtual games. At some point, he could use all his money, borrow from others, and even use the one given to him by someone for important stuff. This went a long way for him, and his life was becoming miserable as time went on. But with the help of some punishment , self discipline and prayers, he was able to reduce it. And today he doesn't do virtual games. In all this, I noticed that there's this confidence he has that he will hit it big, if not today but one big day, and he will stop it with the money he will hit.
My question was, When is this big day? Yes, you might be lucky one day, but when is that? Is there a guarantee for it? How long will you continue to do this for the big day? It's better to stop today than regret it.
This one day I will hit it big is what really inspires most of them to go into gambling more and more, even when they have not been winning. They still keep on gambling with the hope that one day, if they win, they will be able to recover all that they have spent on gambling.

But one thing about this is that if they calculate all the money they have spent since the very first day they started gambling, they will notice that what they won from that one bet they might claim is big is just a small percentage of what they have spent in the past.

The feeling gets very serious the closer they get to hitting it big. Some players are inspired by the results that show that a game was the reason they didn't win big. It proves to the gambler, he's close to hitting big. But I keep wondering why a single game? the gambler would have forfeited staking on multiple games and focused on a few games he was sure of winning. Instead of losing out completely because of a single game. However, it's not about saying they'll stop the moment the big win arrives. Practicing it works best for the player, yet it's hard to find a player who stopped after making a big win. I think the drive multiplies and leads the player to gamble more, with a high stake.

Moreover, gamblers are tricked by the thoughts of the big day, that they forget themselves. Gamblers instead of spending on their health, would bet and hope on the wins to support their livelihood. Which is the reason they get affected emotionally when the game is lost. Their senses begin to creep in on the other things they would have done with the money. Friends who have an interest in virtual games, tend to lose out on all their wins. It gets weird to hear them complain about winning and losing out on everything, not even a transportation fee would be left. Consistently correcting the thoughts of the gambler, towards remembering himself, and the fact he matters, will go a long way in safeguarding him against problem gambling.
