681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is my plan. on: October 11, 2023, 07:09:32 AM
I am still here to gather little knowledge about Bitcoin, I don't need enough knowledge, I can invest while learning Bitcoin, but the thing there is I am shuffling my self, so I will not be tangled while I am accumulating Bitcoin, I have come up with a plan of using the DCA method to accumulate a $50 monthly, my monthly payment from my job is $300, if my expenses will collect up $100 then $50 can be kept in crypto (Bitcoin) and another $100 for emergency funds then the remaining $50 can also be kept for personal things. Now is the best time to buy Bitcoin, I am not in a hurry to start investing Bitcoin, when the time comes for me to invest nothing will stop me to invest in BTC, as Bitcoin is not something I will start today and get rich tomorrow that is why I don't want to rush in to it. I will use electrum Bitcoin wallet to save my coins because I have learned so far that the electrum wallet is a safe wallet for any investors that what to hold Bitcoin for long, so I will be using it to hold my coins when I buy some Bitcoin, I will update when I buy my first BTC.
I respect the fact that you are not in rush to invest in Bitcoin but bear market is the best time to invest in Bitcoin, if you can't do it now then maybe few years down the line? Just don't buy the top thinking you are doing the right thing, if you are making $300 every month and $50 is all you can afford it's good enough so don't wait, this bear market is scaring people off investment and now that it seems like a world war 3 is about to begin, all these are just distractions.

Electrum wallet is a good choice but make sure you keep your recovery seed safe offline, somewhere no one else can get to, and don't even think about storing them in your online email account like some people use to do, online email accounts can get hacked too.

If you have the money I think a Trezor hardware wallet is a lot safer and more secure than an Electrum wallet, think about this if you can afford the money, I think a Trezor hardware wallet costs $69 for the Trezor model one and a bit over $200 for the more advanced Trezor model T.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 11, 2023, 06:19:28 AM
The experience you have with your friend is even better than mine, I have a friend that well thought he is going to win in a sports bet and he already make some financial steps with the hope that he would pay back the money with the money he didn't won yet, I don't know about this until he got arrested, he was in debt because he lose the game and he was forced to sign an agreement to start paying back the money every month.

It's crazy how people made plan on money that's not even theirs yet, they have hope which isn't bad but they make plan on something that's not under their control yet, how cray is that? Gambling can ruin anyone if you let it, just by having this dream in your head, like making millions and living a flex life, once you failed you will probably lose your mind and if you have a weak mind you will start doing crazy things because it will be very hard to let go of the dream you have.

It's better to stay away from gambling if you can't get a hold of yourself when it comes to taking risks and financial concentration, I as a person don't dream with gambling, it just doesn't make sense to me, whatever you dream to make from. gambling is probably never going to happen, because 99% of gamblers don't even win most times, it's all luck.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / It's a strategy to lose on: October 10, 2023, 07:21:11 AM
Gambling is based on luck for real but that doesn't mean you should be dividing your attention into poker, soccer, horse racing, or roulette all at once, you need to choose a side and learn everything you can about the game. This is the mistake that many gamblers are making, they believe since it's all about luck they should expand the possibility to get lucky and it always end up badly for them.

It's no doubt that Poker for example is all about been cunning, logical and deception to gain power over your opponent, it's called upper advantage, this is way different from games like Blackjack, roulette or Slots.

So imagine doing all these together, most gambling games needs your understanding of the odds and taking them into account, especially when wagering, so how can a gambler get involved in all games at once just to increase their chances of getting lucky? Stop this as it's not a strategy to win, it's a strategy to lose.
684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hurray!!! Bitcoin defeated miscreants again on: October 10, 2023, 06:54:18 AM
To say the truth, everyone was worried, the smart ones suspended every instant transaction until further notice, but I needed to make transactions back then so I ended paying up the transaction fee and man, it hurt so badly, because the amount I am moving into the exchange is not even much.

Days ago I was surprised to see Bitcoin transaction fee to be as low as it is, it's been a long time I've seen that type of low before but OP, I am not going to sit on this thinking it's going go always be the same, because right now it's not more $0.08$, I checked mempool this morning and it's going up again, now at $0.19 so that's that.

When the Bull market comes it's going to get more painful for Bitcoin, a high transaction fee will be one of the most discussed at the time, and even the Bitcoin Ordinals will nearly cripple Bitcoin, I believe this is going to be unavoidable, the real spamming hasn't even started yet, let's wait til the next bull market and see.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Educate yourself to be a frugal gambler on: October 10, 2023, 05:59:06 AM
Fun should be a part of the reason why we gamble, and the only way it can be fun while losing your money is to gamble with money you are willing to lose, the smaller the amount is the less it will hurt you.

I believe living a frugal lifestyle mean to be mindful of how we spend money, it means neutralizing unnecessary spending of money on things that you don't really need, so how of gambling discussion this is good advice even if you are not a gambler.

Some people don't even know how to get used to saving money, when the paycheck comes they have loads of things they want to spend the entire money on, and they push aside savings, and it becomes a habit later on, someone who lives a frugal lifestyle will do good in every area that deals with money spending and that includes gambling too.

686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: October 10, 2023, 05:47:13 AM
Only poker fans can give you their gambling strategy as I am not a fan of poker games, I like slots because it's easier to play and get answer in seconds and it also save time, and there is no strategy behind Slots games, to avoid losing money that you don't want to lose it's better to avoid gambling or use the amount that you are willing to lose.

I have won some money through slots and I have lost some, I don't even remember how much I lost because I normally use small amounts to gamble, and most times I win when I don't even expect it.

It's good to gamble with what you can afford to lose, this is the best gambling strategy because you are playing games against the casinos, most times they will always win, and you win only if luck is on your side.

The best gambling strategy is financial management, learning to gamble responsibly always.
687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is purely a mental challenge on: October 09, 2023, 08:12:01 AM
I don't like holding through the bull market which is the right time to let go of your Bitcoin, I mean it's just smart to sell your Bitcoin when it's pumping hard and buy back when it's down, I respect the whales that have held for so long and the wallets are not active and I believe this doesn't mean you are dead or lost access to the wallet.

My strategy is buy on the dips and sell everything in the bull market, I will get them back, way cheaper when Bitcoin dumps again, it's true that holding is a pure mental challenge but it shouldn't be if a bull and bear market as happened right in front of you before, there must have been some lessons you learned.

This is why people get rekt in altcoins too, they hold and get too lazy to sell, instead to keep track on price actions, I mean you can do this with crypto trackers, there are few apps that you can use to track price movement online today, always pay attention to price action, once the bull market starts mostly after the halving it's the right time to get focused on price actions.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Ever Made Such Mistake Before, But Won still? on: October 09, 2023, 07:07:52 AM
That's your luck pushing the button for you, and mind you, don't let this win gets into your head, if I were you I will return to the old amount I used to use, because it's obvious that this is the amount you are willing to risk and you were fine with $4 per win with $0.5 isn't it? Gambling isn't the way to use greed, it will get the best of you.

The most popular mistake that gamblers make is they get brainwashed with high win rounds, so they leave their safety zone and start using high amount for gambling, that shows they only see the advantage of winning high amount and they won't see the disadvantages that comes with using a high amount.

It's fine if they are ready to lose the money, but most confuse themselves that they won't, some don't even believe that it will be painful to lose a certain amount until they see it gone, think more about how you will feel if that money is gone, if you don't like the sound then you probably using the amount you aren't ready to lose, lower down the money.
689  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: October 09, 2023, 06:15:29 AM
I gamble not because I won't have money, I wouldn't be able to gamble if I am making less money or if I have no job, the reason why I am able to fund my gambling habit is because money is coming from my personal business and also my trading skills, I have responsibilities on me which always comes first but I use small money to gamble when I feel like.

To me gambling isn't a must, if you don't have money gambling isn't the solution to your problem, you need to get some skills or start a business first, because gambling is risky and so is investing too, get some business running and you will be able to invest your money and also fund your gambling activities.

Some people are doing things very wrongly by going into gambling first, they have no other things fetching them a good amount of money, and that's what makes them turn addicted to gambling because they have no other means to survive, lack of source of income is what increase chance of getting addicted to gambling because you will see gambling as the right place for your source of income.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: October 09, 2023, 05:24:01 AM
If today is your lucky day with gambling, do not expect tomorrow to be in your favor as well, luck is like a spirit god that visits once in a while and he has a lot of people to visit too, not you only, so it's not going to be easy to keep getting lucky when gambling, but the side part of a thing, aka bad luck comes almost every time in gambling.

You can get entertained on a casino if your risk is very low, it's a matter of choice but people only want the biggest bags so they use all the money they can find, the best way to enjoy gambling is by limiting your risk as much as possible.

Accept the fact, luck won't always be there to save you, you gotta keep losing until another lucky day, so use small money that won't cost you a thing, when you lose you will laugh it out like it's nothing because it's nothing anyways, I am willing to take huge risks on stocks, gold, and Bitcoin because they are world assets, but not gambling, use your sense.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 08, 2023, 09:06:06 AM
Never plan how to use the money when it's not in your bank account or crypto wallet yet, if it's still on the other side of becoming yours then it's not yours yet, sports bets are supposed to be enjoyable but it's a shame that many people have turned this into a means of surviving, I understand that the world is frustrating right now, some countries are at war and while others are very hard to survive in, but over-gambling isn't the solution.

This lady is in tears because she lose money she wasn't prepared to lose, if that money is very small she wouldn't be in tears, how can you be prepared to win and not prepared to lose? This is not the right way to win a war, you have to be willing to taste defeat too, this is how things are.

I can't ever be addicted to gambling because it's just as simple as using your common sense, if your risk is limited your winning ain't going to be that much, but this is safer than using a large amount of money, yes the winning will be huge but so is the loss too, and I can guarantee you that losing is waiting precipitously for you when you are gambling, you can't escape losing money, I do hope you gain some lessons.
692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of investment on: October 08, 2023, 08:13:24 AM
Most investment platforms are scam, so I believe there is no real investment platform out there, buying Bitcoin and holding isn't an investment platform, you are investing in the assets directly, fear is a normal thing in today's world but losing your Bitcoin to scammers is your own fault, they must have talked to you and confuse you to do stupid things that lands you in losing your assets or it's your own greed that make you lose your assets.

These are a few ways many people lose their Bitcoin and it's their fault like I just said, many beginners lack knowledge about keeping Bitcoin safe, they only have interest in how to get Bitcoin and that's where they stop their research and learning, which is not right.

If strangers brings you any investment plans they are trying to use you, nothing in this world is free, I have been saying this for a long time now, if things are easier for someone they won't come telling it to your face, if they can become a millionaire off something they will truly keep it to themselves, but once they tell you, it means they need you to get to that millions, stay away from strangers, they come only with ill intentions.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recently convinced my employer to start paying me in BTC, it has been great on: October 08, 2023, 07:26:12 AM
I live in an underdeveloped country, but I work remotely for a fairly good web development agency. We don't have a lot of financial services/wallets here, so we had to go circumvent a lot of obstacles for me the money to get to my local bank account. This whole process took a hefty fee, and time. And the worst part is the currency is absolutely shit and deteriorating (even compared to other fiat currencies),

Recently, I convinced them to start paying me in BTC. I save what I have to save, and convert the rest to fiat via P2P trading. Its so quicker and I get great deals, no more bullshit. I think this has been a great benefit of crypto for underdeveloped nations.

I have been accumulating bitcoin from a long time from my freelance work, but getting paid in it by my regular work feels awesome!
It's not a bad plan, I was like how will your employers going to buy Bitcoin only because of you when you are not the only worker under them? But if they can use their Fiat to purchase Bitcoin and send to your wallet then they have my salute, because it's rare to see such people who listen to people working under them like that, that's a big rarity, most people will tell you to get whatever you want after they pay your salary in Fiat, they won't care at all.

I will also like to say that it doesn't matter, if it's a no from them, why not just collect your money and exchange to Bitcoin yourself? It's even safer because now your employer now you are into Bitcoin, most times this is not safe practice.

The way you confused this employer of yours is still surprising to me, like I've said, it's going to look more tasking for them because not all the workers or others are going to accept Bitcoin payment, so it's just you, many bosses will say a big NO generally.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 08, 2023, 06:50:55 AM
Fun is also a part why we gamble, those who loves betting on sports games knows what I am talking about, it becomes more thrilling when you believe that your supported football club will beat your friend's, and you decide to bet some money on it, you can also watch the match together and that's where the fun begins, I believe games like this will lack the fun once you place a high amount of money, that is what will ruin the fun.

It can only be fun when your friend win your money is the money you use to place bet is very small, you will easily over look it and think more about the fun that comes from the thrilling match, so yes fun are present in gambles only when you placed bet with small amount of money that you can easily forget once it's gone.

Gambling is not that bad, people's greed is what makes gambling a bad thing in the face of many people, I believe it's still possible to get fun out of gambling if you are a responsible gambler, but oh yes people want to get rich off everything that's why they venture into gambling full time, I am not saying money isn't why are all gamble but less money on gamble makes it enjoyable.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage greed to place your bet on: October 07, 2023, 10:30:38 AM
Never get into a position where you turn gambling into a career, some people turn Poker game into a career and that's why I don't involve myself in games that are too hooked, where you need to develop the skills of reading the other player and their possible next move, I can do this only if it doesn't involve money but in gambling is not good.

I prefer playing the easiest games that don't require my time and focus, I believe that adding time and focus with gambling is wrong, that should be diverted into something you have going on in real life, businesses, or your goals.

Always remind yourselves that to gamble is to lose, this will make you think about the money you are about to lose, if it's too much or you can't afford to lose the money you will control yourself to take out of the money before making deposit on the casino, gambling is a test of luck, no other explanations makes sense than this.

696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween inspired poll –would your Bitcoins get passed on if you suddenly died? on: October 07, 2023, 08:02:11 AM
So 16.3% of people believe that their Bitcoin will be lost if they die because no one has access to their private key, that's just the way it is, because so many people don't have those they can trust around them, I know how it feels, some are waiting for your demise to take over your things, if you can spot them now that you are still breathing, you won't be able to leave your private keys for such people, like I used to say, home is not home for everybody.

Unfortunately many Bitcoin will get lost on the long run, due to death and no one will be able to access the wallets again, I pray and hope that we all enjoy the fruits of our labor, it's not easy and sometimes it's cruel to be alive in the world today, still we have to be thankful.

My advice to all of you who have no one you can share your private keys with is to enjoy your lives while you can, we came with nothing and we shall return with nothing, while you guys are grinding so hard to become a better person always remember yourselves and spend on yourself, death is the only debt we will all pay when our time is up.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets discuss Poker on: October 07, 2023, 07:17:14 AM
It's easier to understand Texas Hold' em Poker over others I believe, but I don't just have much interest in Poker games, I have someone who does and he claimed poker has some good benefits over other casino games. Like developing some patience and it also improves social skills, I heard from him that it also boosts mathematical skills, since you can also play poker for free, beginners will be able to understand this game in no time.

I read one that poker players will end up knowing how to manage their money because that's the only way to progress and become a better player, still, players need to rely on luck to win, there is a thinly part of poker games that also relies on skill and that's learning good judgment, like monitoring other players to know if they are serious or bluffing, so it's safe to say that the more you go deep into poker game the more you will value judgment.

Since poker game is very demanding in observation skills I believe it will take much of my time and probably get me hooked in the game, I will end up having to take it too seriously just to be a better player, since luck is all I have to rely on in the end I believe Black Jack and Slots is a better choice for me.
698  Economy / Gambling / Re: make some developments related gambling on: October 07, 2023, 06:01:09 AM
Some people will argue that using a casino mobile app will increase the chance of getting addicted to gambling, but I don't accept this because every online casino can be viewed in a mobile mode, the casino doesn't have to produce a separate app for gamblers to use on their phones, I believe the truth about this is that since people can gamble using the internet, many are easily becoming a gambling addict.

Such gaming apps are also not available on the Play Store, the last time I tried looking it seemed they were all banned, even popular casinos that have mobile apps chose not to make them available through the Play Store, it seems Google doesn't want to get involved because of some reasons.

Also, kids are using mobile phones today and they can easily access Google playstore to get their favorite games, and it's improper to have gambling apps available for any age, it will be very bad.
699  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 🚨🚨🚨 ROLLBIT confiscated my money. I made an honest bet 🚨🚨🚨HELP 😢😢😢 on: October 05, 2023, 06:02:45 AM
You are trying to cheat the system OP, your question was answered and yet you are forming like you are innocent, sigh you people will never learn, you are caught red handed and stop trying to make Rollbit casino look bad.

The team replied you by saying you are trying to deceive the casino's sportsbook limit, and you are trying to make it look like two brothers living in a house and using the same IP, that can't be right.

Sorry there is no way anyone can help you out of this, next time when you plan to gamble on any casino you will use only one account or risk getting the same result you got right now, I hope you learn from this.

Rollbit is clean and people like you can't tarnish their image, not until they really do something bad, but for now, their reputation is good.
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: October 04, 2023, 11:21:34 AM
You could be a good trader but how sophisticated your trading tools are is what will push you into a higher level of trading guru, it's mostly about the tools you use, every other things can be learned by everyone, if I were you I won't underestimate the trading tools.

You want to be a successful trader? You must be prepared to spend money on trading tools, this is why makes trading more reliable than gambling, all you have to depend on is the tools, and respect for the charts.

With gambling, you are too vulnerable to loses because it's you and the house, there is no tools or strategy that can make you a better gambler, all you have to rely on is your luck, and since this is the way with gambling, I've decided to always be a responsible gambler, and use what I am ready to lose in gambling. It makes sense to use all your might, money and  skills where its required, and that's in trading, not gambling.
