Both were wrong, the victim shouldn't go somewhere else where his family can't watch him when he's aware that when he's attacked by his sickness, no one will be able to help and watch him out. And when the guy was attacked by that disease, the dealer just continued to do his thing? Where's the humanity and being concerned on that part? Yes, the show(job) must go on but how can that dealer attained to just see it around when the guy was being attacked and it's obvious by that time that he's struggling, right? Instead of calling for help, yet he continued to deal.

Why stop at just the dealer? How about the other players sitting at the table. Surely they’re wrong too as they all sat with the man at the table and equally failed to notice that he had died.
I don’t think the dealer noticed the man was in any trouble. If it was noticed, I bet it would have been taken care of a lot faster and the man would have received some sort of first aid on-site and later taken to a hospital. It’s simply bad for business to be inattentive and allow such tragedy occur in the business premises that could have be easily prevented. No fault lies with the dealer in my opinion.
682  Economy / Economics / Re: To afford personal education or a property? Where to allocate funds? on: September 05, 2023, 10:54:57 PM
It actually depends on the preferences of the individual and what is perceived to be more important.
Having a higher level of education has for a long while been pursued with the notion that the degree gotten and only that, could land you a nice paying job that could set you up for life. Times have since changed and while having a formal education is still very important, they are good paying jobs that requires skills and expertise rather than a degree.

About what being more valued in life, it still has to do the choices of the individual. For some, possessions and assets acquired make them feel fulfilled which I find pitiful. Take away those possessions and their worth is gone.

It's only those who have done something for the world can talk about Elon Musk, you can't be a empty barrel and come out in the open saying that this man ruined Twitter or something, line what the hell did you know anyway?

People who frequently utilize the application could also have opinions about how good or bad the app has gotten. You don’t need create something useful for the public or to solve the problems of the world to have opinions of how something should be run.
For you, Elon may have done something good for the world, it should be noted that his actions are first in his best interests. He’s a business man after all and would obviously want to profit from any venture.
Even empty barrels have the freedom to express their views.

For Arsenal to beat Manchester United by 2 goals, that means they might beat Manchester City also if they meet next and with this performance they can go forward in the league.

Arsenal was the better side in the game against Manchester United and the scoreline says it all.
Arsenal may very have a fighting chance when playing against Manchester City but not cause they won Manchester United by 2 goals. Needless to say, Manchester City is not on the same level with Man United and Arsenal comfortably winning Man United shouldn’t be used as a benchmark.
No doubt, Arsenal is in great form and strong enough to perhaps threaten Man City’s chances of winning the title again.
685  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis like 1930 it's impossible now we are use to with good life on: September 04, 2023, 05:23:35 PM
What I get here is someone who is trying and not too subtly, to give us an impression that he’s living the good life also notably in the west. Hence, it’s impossible to go into a cris simply cause he’s used to the good life.
Either you’re penniless and having hopes of someday having fancy luxurious things you see flashing on on TV, or you’re just plain arrogant. Personally, I think you don’t have shit.
Besides, don’t you think people living the good life then also felt it’s negative impact? Possessions accumulated over a long period can be gone in a blink.

Chelsea have spent a lot of money so far since the beginning of the summer transfer window. But for now there is no big difference than the previous season when it comes to their performance. Jackson is really unreliable player right now. He just doesn't have good finishing skills as he wastes so many goal opportunities.

There sure was a lot of hope from fans In the performance of Chelsea this season. I thought with the new season, things would finally turn around for them and they would actually compete with Manchester City and Arsenal for the title. Admittedly, the season is still quite young and thy have a lot of games to prove themselves; their performance so far haven’t been particularly impressive.

I thought Chelsea would, with some ease win the game with Nottingham Forest but it wasn’t so. They were actually in total control of the game but had a hard time getting good shots on target. After the goal, I still felt a bit confident that they could first equalize and perhaps feel motivated enough to score another to win the game.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 02, 2023, 03:37:00 PM
Manchester city will surely drop a points in this game because, Fulham want to let people know that they want to challenge premier league title in this season by using this opportunity to be the first team to beat Manchester city 2:1. The game ended up draw 1:1 in the first half, and I believe the Fulham still have enough strength to dominate in the second half to end the game 2:1 for the favour of Fulham.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Fulham isn’t going to win in this game. Presently the scores are 4:1 in favor of Manchester City. And Manchester City doesn’t seem like they’re okay with the scoreline as they’re pressing harder to get another goal.
An opportunity has just presented itself as Manchester City just won themselves a penalty to be taken by Haaland.  He sure didn’t miss this one like he did last week. Manchester City has won this game and comfortably too. With a scoreline line like this, Fulham doesn’t seem to be able to make a comeback. Perhaps City could score another goal before the game ends.

Language differences is likely why the local boards are there, making it possible for users to communicate easily with their fellow compatriots in the language they understand. It’s left to the individual to post wherever he/she feels comfortable posting. There is no requirement for anyone to post in their local boards as not every nation even have a local board on here. Discussions about what goes on in a country is generally held in the local board and It’s entirely left to the user to partake or excuse yourself from such discussions.
Amongst the unofficial guides and rules of the forum, it’s not stated anywhere a member has an obligation to post on their local boards. It would be crazy if it’s a must to do so.
Hopefully your confusion is cleared up on this matter.

Now with the players they have also signed they will not get regulated if they maintain balance both in the Premier League and Europa League.
The newly promoted Championship clubs are tougher than the clubs.present they will want to impress after a long time visiting the Premier League. Against Chelsea Westham got me by surprised as they ended up winning that game.
Tonight they will get the better of the game against Luton Town it's a good time to gather all these points not when everything finally gets tough.

It’s surely a good time to try and gather some points before things gets a bit tough for West Ham when they face tougher opponents. After this game with Luton, they’re going up against heavyweights Manchester City and later on, Liverpool. The game against Chelsea, I’m sure surprised a lot. The red card gotten in the second half did little to stop them from winning the game.
Luton Town would probably not be much of a challenge and West Ham would most likely secure, perhaps quite easily the three points when they meet later today.
690  Economy / Economics / Re: What did elon do wrong in Twitter on: September 01, 2023, 03:59:24 AM
Right now, Twitter remains one of the best social media platform, if you don't like it then that's you, you are free to leave and try others, you said Twitter is boring? That's a big fat lie, the most boring social media platform I know is Facebook,  I would choose Twitter over Facebook anyway.

Twitter is very useful for me and my crypto journey, I activate every notifications on all the projects on my watchlist so that I can stay up to date, and the moment Elon Musk changed the name to X, I knew that crypto payment through Twitter platform is coming.

Have patience, you will take all your words back, let's wait till after Bitcoin halving, I believe that what Elon have in mind will play a big part in the next bull run, do not underestimate that man, I repeat, Elon Musk shouldn't be underestimated.

Your views on Twitter being the best social media platform is purely subjective. To some, Twitter is crap and Facebook, being the biggest and  most used social media platform in the world would seem more engaging. It solely depends on the preference of the individual.
Twitter, admittedly has been helpful for a lot of people in various ways as I also find the app useful in keeping abreast with information I find useful. Also, long before Elon changed the name to X, users could accept donations from their followers and subscribers from various methods, bitcoin included.

I don’t think anyone underestimates Elon. He’s successfully running several big companies that seems to be doing fine. But his engagements on the app has made people not to take him serious and that’s purely on him.
I’m curious on what exactly made you have the belief that Elon has some sort of plan that would play a big part in the next bull run.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 01, 2023, 02:47:09 AM
.
However, West Ham also cannot underestimate their opponents because Luton could stop their winning streak. Perhaps the most interesting match this week is the Arsenal vs Manchester United match because these two teams are really strong this season so it is difficult to determine the final choice in this match. I think a draw might be the final result in this match.

This could turn out to be an easy win for West Ham. Luton Town shouldn’t be a threat for West Ham but underestimating your opponents can prove to be disastrous as well. Although I doubt Luton Town could be able to pull of a victory. West Ham simply plays better football hence, are the preferred side to win.

I too am anticipating the game between Arsenal vs Manchester United. They’re both strong teams, each side capable of winning the other. Arsenal seems to be the preferred side to win and understandably so. They’re in top form and while I hope  Manchester United could clinch the win, I haven’t got high hopes. The game would surely be interesting as I think both teams could score in this game.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 31, 2023, 09:45:47 PM
Manchester City's performance is still very stable. They are under no pressure. The team is not playing attacking like last season but still their performance is very stable. They have won three of the three matches comfortably. Coach Guardiola is very experienced. This is why Manchester City's performance remains stable. Haaland Haaland is not performing well this season. Haaland was in excellent form last season. However, we are not seeing a better performance from Haaland this season. De Bruyne is also injured. Silva also missed several matches due to injury. I think Manchester City's performance will be stronger if De Bruyne returns to the squad. Haaland's chemistry with De Bruyne is also excellent. So it is expected that if De Bruyne returns to the squad, Haaland's performance will improve even more.

Bagging a win is what matters at the end of a game. Having a weak and poor performance is almost irrelevant if you strive and succeed in getting the three points at the end of the game. Being under no pressure, Manchester City has been playing with some ease and still end up winning all their games they’ve played so far this season.

I too think De Bruyne and Haaland are in sync on the field. De Bruyne is instrumental to Haalands goal scoring abilities with his accurate passes and crosses. Having De Bruyne playing would surely increase Haaland chances of scoring goals.
I’m not exactly worried about the overall performance of Man City. They’ve got a good team with a great coach at the helm of affairs.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad economic situation makes bitcoins more difficult to keep. on: August 31, 2023, 09:15:19 PM
Maybe we can sell the item that we rarely use? Or we can also take a loan? But if only we learn how to budget and save up and maybe add another lite job to earn an extra income, we won't end up like that. We should not put the blame on the bad economy or on how our government runs it. The problem is only us.

The problem is not on the people but bad government. If government provide good economic incentives to do business then people will be glad to struggle in business. Incentives like soft loan or interest free loan with very low repayment percentage then businesses will fluorish. If government policies reduce taxing on small business (SME) and encourage farming by supplying fertilizers, crops the economy will improve because it will add to the GDP.

The problem lies with both the government and the people. A lot of people blame their woes and problems on the government despite not doing anything themselves to change their situation. A lazy individual would always find someone else to take the blame for a bad situation.
Admittedly, the government should always step up and try to increase the standard of living for its citizens but you wouldn’t expect the government, having not enough resources to satisfy everyone.

Incentives meant to encourage entrepreneurship and growth are in some cases, available to the public but a lot of citizens willfully remain ignorant waiting and relying on handouts from the government.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: August 31, 2023, 08:30:06 PM
Being responsible in anything you do would have a positive effect on you. Now, while being careful and responsible in gambling may not seem to have any noticeable positive effects on your life, it would certainly help ward off all the negative consequences of irresponsible gambling.
You won’t have to worry about estranged relationships or being penniless with accumulated debts due to frequent and reckless trips to the casino. Being responsible when gambling would most likely keep you away from considering having to borrow from your local loan shark when the bank declines your request due to poor credit.
Being responsible may not necessarily make you wealthy from saving or give you the best relationships, it would definitely help keep those negative effects irresponsible gambling brings.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 31, 2023, 07:44:46 PM
After watching some matches of Manchester City team this season, what I realized is that the team is performing less than last season. I don't see the kind of aggressiveness and discipline the team used to play last season.

Manchester City may not be playing as aggressively as they did last season when the season was gradually winding up. Also considering the season is still very young and they’re not under much pressure. Now, if the season was coming to an end, were ahead by a point to the second place team in the league table, they surely would be under a lot of pressure and that could instill discipline into the squad and cause them to perform better.

The season is still in its early stages and they’re currently at the top and leading in the league. Without the aggressiveness and discipline, they’re still at the top.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 31, 2023, 03:40:01 AM
The match will be highly tough and unpredictable because neither team is not ready to give out the 3 points to the other team freely without playing their best. As you are predicting Arsenal to win by 2 goals, am predicting a draw match at the end of the match(1-1 or 0-0).
True but we can also try to take the home advantage as one of the factors that may be pushing the club to win. MU or arsenal needs to prepare itself to lose three points. It's hard to imagine the draw between both.

BTTS and probably over 2.5 goal. Im not thinking this match gonna end with draw. Either of clubs will be playing fully offensive since the start of game.

I personally don’t give much credence to the opinion that a team has a good chance of winning simply cause they’re playing at home.
I too don’t think a draw would be the outcome of the game. Both teams, obviously would strive and go all in to win and take all three points hence a good possibility of having both teams each scoring goals in the game.
Asides playing at home which in my opinion has not much significance, Arsenal is in great form and looks really poised to win. Playing at home may somewhat contribute to their chances of having a win but not as much as the quality of players on the team as well as the tactics used.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: August 31, 2023, 02:54:53 AM
I think the rise in the prices of food items have increased everywhere. Perhaps, it’s more pronounced in some countries than others but I believe the increase in foodstuffs are felt everywhere.
Your notion about farmers making huge amounts of profits due to selling off their agricultural products is not entirely accurate. Small to medium scale farmers, after selling off their products, would have to purchase other products and items they lack and need, settle bills and would also require the services of other professionals. There’s barely anything left of the huge profits after all this.

With inflation ravaging the land, it’s not surprising to see the price of food items rise and continue to climb. Asides the wealthy elites, this increase is felt all over. The average income earner have had to cut back on their spending or alternatively go in search of a side job.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin achievement on: August 30, 2023, 11:59:16 PM
Yeah, I find your tale very fascinating as well as totally unbelievable. I’m curious on how your friend persuaded a former skeptic such as yourself to purchase bitcoin. I’m also curious about how exactly bitcoin is now your source of income when you didn’t have any.
You sure are lucky to have gotten all what you needed to have as a man and in a short period of time also with the credits going to bitcoin.
Your tales were hard for me to believe and combined with other members on this same thread pointing out some inconsistencies with your story, I think you’ve been caught in a fib.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: August 30, 2023, 11:29:28 PM
We know that gambling is not a job because it is too risky but some people make it a job and sometimes even take out loans just to have gambling and there are also those who spend the family's money just to have gambling and that is what I can call an addict, the one who doesn't have self control.

There are a lot of occupations that would be considered risky. Gambling isn’t a job not just it’s risky but it doesn’t give the gambler a steady and constant paycheck either weekly or monthly. Admittedly, some gamblers have taken up gambling as a job. Constantly taking out a loan for gambling is just crazy and that could be considered a sign of being an addict.
Lack of self control when gambling creates an addiction in people and would most likely bring about more losses as well. And a gambling addict with little to no self control cannot be successful.
700  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: August 30, 2023, 11:10:40 PM

What kind of people are capable of market manipulation?

Individuals who wield a lot of influence, unions and just about anyone in a position of power and authority. A lot of manipulation of the market occurs when people get greedy in order to make a lot of profits. While it may not exactly be that much of a common occurrence as it’s viewed as being unethical and illegal, it happens and would probably continue to happen.
I think the market as well as a whole lot of other things are open to manipulation from people who are influential as well as others who stand to profit. That’s why despite the policies put forward to curb this practice, it still happens.
