Information-wise there is always something to gain. Sure, we can keep improving that together. Design doesn't need any adjustment in my opinion though.

One thing that I'd like to see improved is the official Guldencoin website.
Not only the visual but its functionality as well. With proper menus / sub-menu bars on top with all the important stuff.
I know it's nothing major but it should be something to think about in the future.
I think you are right. The main guldencoin.com website is not so appealing for new potential users and businesses. Would be great when a experienced website developer will take some time to improve the site as it belongs in to be in the year 2015  I kindly disagree. I think the website has a very clean and professional look. It has been designed by an experienced designer (Rijk). For sure, the current site is developed by a good experienced designer, but it just leaks the X factor and after a menu selection the subpages doesn't support a button to go back to the home page for example. What are you guys talking about? lol.. |

Hi all,
Work on the simulator is progressing great.
The initial version I made used "fake" difficulty values, it worked, but I found that it wasn't accurate enough.
So I've redone a lot of the code, and it's now using real/exact difficulty values: 256-bit unsigned integers, in the same way the satoshi client calculates difficulty.
This makes everything a bit more complicated, but will produce 100% accurate results.
The first releases of the simulator will be binary releases with a limited featureset, it will do default difficulty (bitcoin) and DGW3 and it will have one simulation: small hashrate waves.
Updates will include 'large hashrate waves' and 'jump pool' simulations, and ofcourse the first version of our custom made difficulty re-adjustment algorithm.
At one point the sources will be made available under an open-source license to everyone. If anyone is interested in helping out, please contact me. It's required to have some experience in Go (golang.org).

Nice, Buerra! (I have sent the supermarket in Arnhem a congratulation accepting btc and referred him to Guldencoin as well. http://coincourant.nl/) Yeah I read about it. They process their payments through BitKassa, doubt they'd make the switch because they are probably advised by BitKassa that only supports Bitcoin. It would be good if we could setup a meet with BitKassa and talk benefits in regard to NLG. |

I am super surprised this service did not get more media attention? Wasn't this a first for any crypto currency? Hi Bluestreet, I've sent out press releases and I've answered some questions by Coincourant about Paysafegulden. But apparently he didn't find it interesting enough to write something about it, I will not beg to get on a website. Other Dutch media have also ignored, despite the fact that I've mentioned it wasn't possible for any other cryptocurrency in the world to buy coins this way. Despite the fact we didn't get major attention it's still good for Guldencoin. And that last part is what counts the most. Next up are two things coming, one in collaboration with 'OpenForBusiness' and one solo-project that is already live but will receive some cool updates  Will have more news, details and eventually an ANN + press releases to related media this week hopefully. |

I don't know what paysafecards are but you can use your bank card or credit card on certain exchanges such as Cryptsy and Ghash.io. So I would say marketing hype..
Look at the liquidity of any coin you are interested in. That alone should tell you whether or not its a good investment.
I would not say it is a marketing-hype as I wasn't completely sure it was a crypto-first, but that doesn't really matter if it is or not. Most of us hadn't seen it yet and using Ghash or Cryptsy is far from proper usability for new people. I've managed to make buying NLG a 2-step process with this website. Paysafecards have a lot of benefits, because they are easy to come by for Europeans, they are anonymous because you do not need an account to buy or to use Paysafecard, you don't need a bank account because you can buy 'm with cash in stores like Primera, Hema etc. And using Paysafegulden.com has been nothing but a breeze thus far. 21 orders processed thus far Almost 1 per hour in the past 24 hours. Guldencoin is now seen as a threat to the Crypto Cartels. Great initiative and very innovative, opens more doors for guldencoin! Thank you Bluestreet. It was fun making it and launching it I think we'll see some orders tomorrow, people buying PSC's to test it out and see how it works. |
