Fuse,
What if you send the dev team a few more than planned and have them all sign it (using bitcointalk handles or real names if they choose) with a certificate of authenticity for those few extra coins I'm speaking of? For example, you send extra coins to GJ, he signs and posts a pic here, then sends coins to Waterloo, he signs and posts the updated pic, he sends to whoever, etc etc.  Then offer the coins for sale at a premium price once everyone has signed. It will be the slowest transfer of NLG in the world (HAHA), but all kidding aside, it will attract even more attention and people will love to follow the gulden.... Wink

I am fully open to that idea as well, but before we go down the road of offering coins up for community auction, I still need to square away logistics and figure out numbers for the teams/community.  Additionally, I need to figure out how to handle orders here in the states vs orders in EU.

However, I did originally think that a raffle/auction would be a nice way of promoting the coin, both digital and physical.

And also depends if the team would be up for it. I didn't ask them, just threw the idea out there.

If anyone is wondering about loading these, I would like to note that I will not personally load them.  I want the end user to load it themselves.  This is more secure, and it takes a key issue out of the equation - losing digital coins if the physical coin gets lost/stolen in shipping.  Additionally, I don't want to be responsible for making 250 wallet/pairs that could be claimed I still have access to.  More secure IMO.

For those of you that want to know how the key pair could possibly look, I made one in Illustrator with a wallet generated from Cryptolife.net.  It's 0.5" x 1.5", and would be folded accordion style into thirds.  The space on the coin for the pair info is 0.5" x 0.5".  The font used for this pair was 7pt, and it is perfectly legible when printed on a laserjet printer.  I don't have an inkjet to test with, but I'm sure you could get similar results.  Here it is:

FYI... thats a throw-away address, and no one should use it as it's now public.

Absolutely Stunning fuse. I would certainly love to own one of these coins. Amazing job !!

Damn that's looking really really cool! Just wow! where or how can we get one?

Thanks, mate... it's my baby.  I've been waiting almost a month or so to get my hands on these.  I feel it was well worth it.

I need to work out logistics with someone in EU, as I am in the US and I would rather not have to individually ship 250 packages.  The first 20-25 coins are going to the dev team, my team, and some special community members.

The hologram stickers hit my office on Wednesday.  Once I have everything in hand, I'll work on getting all the details worked out and I'll make sure the community knows what's up.

-Fuse

Maybe you should contact LTEX for your logistics.

Alrighty... so you've already seen what goes on the back(no, it's not a heatsink sticker for miners).  Without further ado, I present my project:

So, yeah.... that just happened  Grin

I am going to be very jealous to those that get a coin but I know I don't deserve it like others who have been pushing this coin to new heights every week. You have my respect ny2cafuse !

I am super surprised this service did not get more media attention? Wasn't this a first for any crypto currency?

Thanks bluestreet, the main objective of the paysafecard project was to give users more options to get their hands on Guldencoin and there will be more buying options in the future without the need of having btc as a "middle man" for the end user.

More News.

About 2 weeks ago I spoke about a tier 2 project being released next month, well this will most likely be delayed until January/early feb but let me just say this is the most exciting project that is being worked on by us but the delay isn't without reason. This is because something else is being worked on that will help the underlying network and give more users access to Guldencoin... I don't want to say too much but it will be a very exciting addition.

The tier 2 project is yummy, very yummy indeed.

There might be a bit of confusion about the release of the Criptoe Series 1 coin.  I just want to make sure everyone is aware of my intentions for the sale of this coin.  So here goes:

The first 20 coins are reserved.  5 for the Gulden team listed on the website.  5 or 6 for the Criptoe team.  Another 3-5 reserved for outstanding members of the community who have really driven the success of the coin via marketing and projects.  I know that's a little shy of 20, but I want to pad the number in case of any changes that may happen.

After that, the rest are for sale for the community.  I haven't determined a price yet, but I've got a number in mind.  I think that it is a reasonable price for a limited run, first series coin.  It's comparable to other crypto physical collectables, if not a bit cheaper.  I still want to talk with people involved before I announce a price though.

My concern with the sale, like I've said, is the logistics.  I could easily set up a web shop and start selling coins right now.  However, that would mean that I would be shipping 200+ packages to EU from California, USA.  It would be an added cost I would not want to absorb, and it would take forever and increases the risk of lost shipments.  So there are 2 options I see at this point:

The first is that I wholesale the lot to the dev team and they control the sale, allowing them to add a slight profit margin on each coin.  This will allow them to fund projects or cover day to day costs of full time development of the coin(at least for a little while).  I'd prefer something like this, as it not only makes it easier on me to sell all the coins, but it also benefits the team, and the coin as a whole.  It also means a faster turn around time for delivery in EU.  However, that means it's harder for buyers in other countries... but this is an EU based coin.

The second is that I, or a middle man in EU, sets up the webshop now.  Sales are made, and shipping is delayed until I can send 50 or so coins at a time to EU.  I wouldn't mind this option, but in my mind it just doesn't seem ideal.

So that's the dilemma at the moment.  I need to get that sorted out before I start promising coins to people and starting sales.  I believe the sale of the coins should be a traditional first come, first serve sale.  If the dev team wants to auction some special coins in a signed display case or something, that's up to them.  I think that's a great idea.  But when it's all said and done, at this point there are 220-230 coins up for sale for the community.

Hope that clears up some of the confusion.

Wow Fuse, that really looks awesome! I just briefly would like to say I am in for taking up "the burden". I'm just very very busy ATM with delivery of a large project with my company. I will be ready end of this week though and we can see what works best.

Cuddos to you mate, they are really perfect!

I would suggest a vote, but there are some people that I think are in that list.  I won't say who, but I'm sure they would end up in the vote anyway.  Can the Gulden forums do a poll/vote?

I would like to hear what the dev team thinks though.

Think voting is a bad idea. Some might get disappointed or other damage could occur.

Hi Bluestreet, I've sent out press releases and I've answered some questions by Coincourant about Paysafegulden. But apparently he didn't find it interesting enough to write something about it, I will not beg to get on a website. Other Dutch media have also ignored, despite the fact that I've mentioned it wasn't possible for any other cryptocurrency in the world to buy coins this way. Despite the fact we didn't get major attention it's still good for Guldencoin. And that last part is what counts the most. Next up are two things coming, one in collaboration with 'OpenForBusiness' and one solo-project that is already live but will receive some cool updates Wink

Will have more news, details and eventually an ANN + press releases to related media this week hopefully.

We are very happy to announce a new member in the Guldencoin family, Bitstraat.nl. Bitstraat.nl offers hardware solutions for merchants, which will make accepting Guldencoin easy and convenient.

Bitstraat wants to make Amsterdam bitcoincity. Has the team made contact with Bitstraat and the merchants already accepting bitcoin in Amsterdam? (see website below for the merchants)

They better accept both bitcoin and Guldencoin at once.

http://www.bitstraat.nl/amsterdam-bitcoin-city/

Bitstraat better promote Guldencoin as no.1 in the Netherlands and bitcoin as a good second one, but maybe it is a strategy of them to do it this way. More investors in bitcoin atm, but for the big mass later on it is way better to promote Guldencoin as no.1, right now via Bitstraat.

Hope the team makes contact with Bitstraat about this. I think some bitcoin investors sponsor their giveaway terminals. Those investors should be willing to see that Guldencoin makes them way stronger. Win-win.

My concern with the sale, like I've said, is the logistics.

I'm an active international ebayer and my experience with shipping from The Netherlands to the USA and vice versa, that it's a very steady connection. For example, I rather do ebay business with people from the USA than with Belgian ebayers. The Belgian postal company isn't as reliable as the Dutch and the American. Anyhow it's better to find your logistic help here in The Netherlands, I agree.  Smiley

Thanks a lot Veertje: merchant number 62, still a way to go with Guldencoin.
I believe in the future of cryptocurrency and of all the altcoins Guldencoin is one of the best,
that's the reason we decided to accept it at VerspA.
