681  Economy / Economics / Re: Setting up financial structures before going into the family way on: December 23, 2023, 10:31:10 PM
There are girls and women and you know what I mean.

Girls love fancy things that is why men are interested in spending their money so they can attract girls whereas women who are mature enough to know what is really needed and who can understand their partner and lot of other things so the marriage will last forever.

even though we call them girls or woman, they both like money and it literally takes money and love to keep them. No matter how responsible a woman his, if you don't have the financial resource to take care of her, you will loose her to a stranger.

Age only goes to show that she might have had a financial  backup that will help her support her partner reasonable and that's what will fuel and enable the union to work
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe part 2 on: December 23, 2023, 10:26:26 PM
I remembered when I posted this some time ago and some people kept saying to be safer you need to be on an off/hard wallet.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5469814.msg62971784#msg62971784

And here, I talk about Hacks that happened both in Cex and Dex
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5471139.msg63031458#msg63031458

I said it, if we are in this cryptocurrency ecosystem, our first safety comes from us. No matter what you want to use, there are times when what we believe is the safest won't be the safest. In my post in that link above, I talked about navigating how to be at least 60-80% safe with your assets.

I just got this news that some users lost over $600k from hackers on their Ledger wallet.

https://www.dlnews.com/articles/defi/a-ledger-employee-got-phished-defi-users-lost-thousands/?utm_source=telegram&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=
safety is not always 100% guaranteed, but their are method that are safer than others although they both require carefulness and lack of unnecessary greed that could lead to hacking of a users account.

One has to know that anyone can be victim of hack and so its necessary we put in the effort in ensuring that we put in law all the safety measures that are needed to guarantee our safety to a reasonable extent
683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YouTuber's hype video is not good advice on: December 23, 2023, 09:00:49 PM
Yeah, that's true.
An average YouTuber is after getting a huge number of followers and so they will create topics and images that will fetch in subscribers for them even when the quality in the information they are padding is very low.

For those that are a bit experience in the Bitcoin soave, its easy to know when a channel had content of low quality byt I doubt a total novice who is just trying to figure out his way around Bitcoin will easily different the good from the bad channel.
684  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What opportunities do you see around you? on: December 23, 2023, 08:53:33 PM
Nigeria is a very blessed country with virtually everything you can think of... from Natural resources to human resources. We really do not have a business with being poor.

The major problem with Nigeria is that we have not really had a leader with vision and the political will to pursue the Nigerian dream. All we have so far are people who want to enriched themselves and their cronies with no regards to what happens to the country, her citizens and her future. Now that leadership failed us, should we fold our hands and cry forever?

Look around you, you can practically see opportunities everywhere. I intentionally went for market survey this Christmas season to see the prices of things especially those with high demand. I was shocked to know that 4 months old broiler is sold for as high as N15,000. A rubber of garri goes for N1,700, a bunch of plantain goes for N5,000 while a bag of rice goes for N56,000. I quickly recurred growing up in the family of farmers, these were items we were playing with then that have turned treasures.

It is actually funny that the food production of Nigeria is not enough to feed the citizens.  Why then are people not going into farming? Why do we cry about unemployment when many people have lands they can cultivate in the villages yet lying fallow. I truly see a very big opportunity in farming.

There are many other areas that present huge opportunities that people are not tapping into. My mindset has changed so much lately as I have realised that Nigeria is like an untapped treasure. I'm from South South Nigeria and I can only say about my area. Those from other regions can narrate what they consider as opportunity in their place.
there are lots of opportunities surrounding is in this country that are yet untapped she its very evident around almost all the 33 state of the federation. Every state has abundance of resource that is enough to sustaining our youth but the problem is that most of us aren't looking into it and our concern is so much fixed on the oil that other resources has become obsolete to our view.

In my locality, we have abundance of fishes and a lot of fertile ground that are yet to be cultivated and I bet you that if you involve in either of those two you will earn 5× the amount you will be oaud as a banker but because we're too used to certain jobs in the society, who cares about those supposed manual jobs?

If you decide to go into those jobs eh, you self go belief say God truly bless us on a normal.
685  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't fall victim in this season of Christmas and new year. on: December 23, 2023, 08:45:55 PM
Greetings my country people, I know many people are in their various places already to celebrate the Christmas and new year. I created this topic to please Naija bitcoiners to always delete their alert text message from their phone which are some of the things that is making some of their friends or relative to organize Kidnappers to empty their money they have struggle from January till december to saved. Something terrible just happened to someone in my community that came with his new car and his family to celebrate the Christmas in the village but on his way to pick some of his friends that he has been with since on Thursday and, he was Kidnapp despite he didn't go out with his camera phone but the Kidnappers was demanding for #500,000 from the victim family before they later changed their mind based on the transaction text message they saw on the victim small phone and they changed the ransom from #500,000 to #10,000,000. And the Kidnappers empty the guy account before releasing him to his family and I hard that the guy has vow never to come home for any reason again.

I'm in the village to celebrate the Christmas and new year with my people, but if you see me, you will not no that I came from city to join my village people to celebrate the Christmas and new year but I have deleted all the alert text message in my phone and my camera phone so that nobody will know anything about me. Let us be our brothers keeper by always alert us in this Naija local board and to be in security caution through out this season of celebration.
this is a very good information and we need to take it seriously. Some of us are very careless die some sensitive information about us, as much as you can try, ensure that no one knows how much is in your account, it's better they assume the amount but never tell them or make them see the amount you have, even someone that normally will not take your financial life seriously on a normal day will start looking at you with a strange eye once they confirm with thier eyes that you have a certain amount saved.

We need to understand that people are going through a lot and that the frustration of life can push people to ding unimaginable things just to get access to money and so you don't want to fall victim.

Make everybody use him head abeg.
686  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: SAFETY TIPS FOR THE YULETIDE SEASON on: December 23, 2023, 08:37:43 PM
Is the part of the year again where everybody are in celebrating mood, for various reasons like good health, financial blessing, for life, and for various goals met.as such we might tend to be in vulnerable state at some point.in respect to this I will put line certain we ought to do at this time to atleast not put us in harms way.

1.Do not keep late Night(unless it is important)
2.when leaving the house always tell some one close to you where you are going and who you are going out with
3.If you go out and drink,do not exceed your limit(so to be aware of whats going on around you)
4.If you travel to the village, mind who you tell your achievements for the year
5.we are in dry season,so incase you want to burn old things that is not needed in the house, ensure you stay around to put off the fire, fire spread fast this period
6.if you stay alone, and you return home from an outing, endeavour to close your door immediately you step into your room
7.Always have a source of light by your side while sleeping at night, like torch or phone
Lat but not the least
8.eat healthy and drink alot of water.
these are good safety tips as it regards the Yuletide, also watch your spending habit. Don't overspend just to impress people, if you go to the village, know that it's not everyone you should give money to and it's not necessary to visit all the houses to announce your arrival, celebrate your celebration with sense and no go de do pass yourself.
687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A piece of advise to everyone. on: December 22, 2023, 12:17:41 PM
I've observed a little mistakes that newbies like me usually make during conversations here in the forum. I have made this mistake here before, I suppose it was my first thread I created in this forum where I was arguing about some rubbish I thought I knew about.

Newbies/beginners and senior colleagues too do make this mistake of arguing with people in conversations that are not worth arguing about. Instead of responding to some quote where you were corrected you can just learn and remain silent than make some blind arguments that can lead to more wilder conversation that will either be out of point from the actual discussion.
Most times I see people creating enemies for themselves because they want to prove a point that they know some bull shit.

I will advise my fellow beginners to respect some correction and not make arguments just to prove yourself knowledged. instead of arguing you can just learn without quoting them back and blabbing rubbish. even till now some senior colleagues are still arguing with themselves because they feel they have the knowledge which someone is try to inculcate in them.

Don't make a fool of yourself trying to prove a point for some nonsense reputation that nobody gives a fuck about.

Just a friendly advise..

it depends on the reason behind your emphasizing a particular point in the argument, if you feel that the narrative or angle you're looking at a subject matter is not being understood rightly, you could still air out your view since no one is totally a compendium of knowledge. Their are things you will say whole thing to prove a point that could be of help to someone that's just going through the conversation.

The issue is when you're arguing just to prove that you have a knowledge, and you are not reading through replies to get a better understanding of what is being said, this is what could be considered a blind argument and doesn't get any problem solve. Remember the popular saying that goes that " that you won an argument doesn't mean you are right."
688  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make Una Avoid Ethnicity Here in the Forum. We're all One. on: December 22, 2023, 11:09:34 AM

690  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis everywhere it's time to come together and unite on: December 22, 2023, 10:43:05 AM
Times like this it's time to join and unite together
So what is the next innovative business we should do ?
Times are difficult and we feel like victims of beyrayel
I see that anyone who bring up some good idea not trusted instantly....but only way is unite together many people don't have income anymore and no money.
So who from us Will create us new currency? And we All use this currency and get some airdrop ?
no one is uniting with anyone to create shit.

If you want to create anything to bold enough to take all the risk and responsibility and make it happen.

The world has grown past the phase of still considering unity, the division is even bringing up more creative and productive ideas that has led to the growth of many individuals and nations that see others as their competition.

If you have an idea, go for it, out in the effort and even if you fail while trying, shake off the dust and be grateful cause you tried
691  Economy / Economics / Re: Setting up financial structures before going into the family way on: December 22, 2023, 10:37:59 AM
As you described that before marriage one should made any setting of finance that will make him able to continuously earn so it means that if a person is not financially stable then he should not be involved in marriage life but I think its not a good idea. Setting before marriage is necessary but it is our believe that with marriage your fate will be changed so if financial status of any person is worse then he should be incolved in marriage.
that's not what I mean, before starting any journey in life, their are fundamental things that should be on ground to aid you thrive through the journey effectively. It's just like preparing for high school, if you don't have a string sponsor, wound it be wrong to advice that one make a reasonable amount of saving before even seeking for admission? But making savings doesn't mean that people cannot star up their high school journey with no penny in their account but to be on a safer side it becomes necessary to put things in order first.

I have seen so many marriages that have broken up because of finance and their are lot of youths in my street that are currently confused and frustrating because their parent are still struggling to bring food to the home and their isn't enough money to cater for their education.

If you don't gained financial freedom before getting married and after your marriage once children start coming in you will discover that you will leave at least 20 years of your life raising funds to take care of the children if care is not taken.

Let me be very direct on this, most of the people I know of that had no financial preparation on ground before settling down are still in abject poverty till this moment, it's just a very little percentage of them that are able to go back to the drawing board and sort out for ways to fix their lived.

Wisdom is profitable to direct.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 22, 2023, 10:18:52 AM
Gambling is not for everyone. It you're not strong and well disciplined enough you shouldn't think on gambling at all.

So many persons have ran into debt because of greed while gambling, it's a bit reasonable to gamble with your spare money but if borrowing is the only means of funding you gambling habit, then you should know that it is high time you put a stop to it.

Leaving an isolated life could leave one to becoming unguided  addicted to vices like gambling and once this happens, it takes serious effort before such a person can to recovered from the spirit of gambling.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fast-fashion shopping apps hurting local economy? on: December 21, 2023, 01:01:30 PM
Buying an item from a site like amazing or even jumia doesn't make much difference as compared to the economic implication of buying it from a physical shop. At the end of the day, their exist a physical shoo where the item you ordered would be send to you from and so it's basically a function of convenience and and ease of accessibility over what ever conventional method that have existed prior to now.

I guess most of the online shoos still has a physical location and have undergone some proper registration from the regulatory agency controlling the region of their operation and the registration process might require a regular payment of certain amount either on a weekly, monthly or yearly bases depending on the revenue they are generating.
694  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Bitcoin accepted in central African republic; which way Nigeria? on: December 21, 2023, 11:44:51 AM
Recently, it's been confirmed that the central African republic has accepted bitcoin as a legal tender in it country and this one na a very big win for them and for Africa and we join hand take follow celebrate them say them don make better decision when go help them seriously and them don project Africa wela as e take concern the quest for Bitcoin adoption.

But this come de make me reason my dear giant of Africa, which way nija? Abi our suffer never tire us?

Even for this forum our face show and our shoe de shine but nothing really de to show for it.

Naira de loose value on a steady bases, to see money withdraw now na wahala, bank charges de choke and network no de kuku help matter and we no wan try other method of transactions? Nawa oh!

Anyways, as we never ready to allow others congratulate us, I say make I bring this one come here make we kuku congratulate the central African republic when don stand now as the Bitcoin giant of Africa - make nobody argue am o.

695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you take out your investment when in profit? on: December 21, 2023, 11:01:35 AM
A lot of my altcoins have pumped over the last month or so and it has got me wondering when the best time is to take out initial investment.

Is it too early to take it out once you have doubled your money , is waiting till you have done a 5x or more too greedy?

My best investment so far has been Myria - I got lucky with this one and bought pretty much at the bottom a few months ago and I took my investment out last week once it did a 10x so I am now holding a bag of Myria with no risk.

I have other altcoins I am holding that I am up 3 or 4x on but have not taken profit yet but thinking of doing so , just take my investment out then I am holding more with no risk.

What does everyone else do when it comes to altcoins?
take your investment when it has yielded a reasonable amount of returns.

Don't be greedy in waiting till you get 10x your initial invested amount. To be on a safer side, depending on the strength of the Altcoin you're holding, take the initial capital out and you can decide to reinvest the profit and maybe gamble with to the best of your ability.

Study the market, sometimes, follow trends, if people ate taking out their investment, join themm, don't allow greed eat you up.
696  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam and hack 4 9ja on: December 21, 2023, 10:54:36 AM
Scammers full ground wetin no nice and we need de very careful not to be a victim of there dubious means.

Their is one I encountered on my WhatsApp last week and when I looked at his approach towards me, I just laugh because him no know who him de deal with.

The guy man de tell me say him go introduce me to bitcoin reading not k owing say my eye don clear for that side, come say if I send am 20k say him go send me 40k after trading in the next 2hrs come de full my phone with already written messages when we very easy to dictate, I just de laugh am from my end.

The funny thing be say him to use pastor register that WhatsApp come use picture when person wear suit as the dp just so I can believe him easily.

The thing is that as long as you are dealing with a stranger in the online space, no matter how legit they present themselves eh, don't believe them first, if they are trying to persuade you for no just reason, just block them and move on if not you will cry and shy your harsh story in the forum and the only thing we will jointly say will be sorry
697  Other / Meta / Re: How does total time logged in count? on: December 21, 2023, 10:42:07 AM
If I remember things correctly (someone corrects me if I'm wrong), it's whenever you're active.

So, let's say you're logged in, and then you visit a page, you are then considered "active" for the next 15 minutes and that's counted towards your logged-in hours. If you visit another page after 5 minutes only, then it'll start recounting after those five minutes which would make your logged-in hours 20 minutes.
wow! That's great.

I kind if like the way the system here works in such a manner that you cant easily cheat any system. If it's just a function of how long your data is on, I guess must people would have be active for a decade but by using index like this, it's easy to know who is an active member or not.

The same goes to the merit systems that had played a huge rule in ensuring that quality is maintained in the forum, kudos to the brain behind these.
698  Other / Meta / Re: Thanks button and more on: December 21, 2023, 10:36:06 AM
Otherwise i would keep spamming the forum thanking them for the post

also the more emoticons better
maybe what you intend saying is that it would be better if thumbs up or sort of a like button be added such that it a particular reply goes well with you, you can just like it without necessarily making a statement that might be considered spam and if thats what you want to say, I totally agree with you.

Their are other Interaction that if added to this site will make a whole lot of sense and I hope with time a proper review would be done and an improvement made to enable better user experience.
699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ask anything here on: December 21, 2023, 10:28:44 AM
As the year unwinds! As you think about potential resolutions for the new year - why don’t we wrap up the year with getting answers to some of the questions lingering in our mind?

Wrap up 2023 with  learning more about the opportunities that await you in becoming a cryptocurrency enthusiast ’m sure you’re keen to Listen to how potentially you could be a potential bitcoin investor, trader or in the blockchain development itself. The platform is open to anyone and everyone. What you still find confusing and uncertain about you can ask them here.

Start your questions, there are people who have the answers here. Lets go!
the different boards and sub boards in this forum has been specially designed to proper solutions to whatever question one intend asking and this section particular solves that problem and so I don't think that it is necessary to create a separate thread for asking questions and supplying answers to them.

Even if we want to use a particular thread for that purpose, it would be very bulky and confusing for people since you are going to be having different questions and answers all combined under this thread, it's going to be frustrating and I cant even imagine it.
