I believe your trying your luck and won't judge you much with the fact that your a newbie but then, pay attention to details. I would have applied myself too but the op specifies the required number of merits to be reading on your profile to be eligible or participate.

Thanks for your help and feedback. No, I deleted only 1, the topic is just beginning to emerge, so there are still few applications, but I have already helped two users to move to the next rank using this topic.

Low activity is probably due to the special conditions for filing an application. It is also worth noting that I just started this action in the English section, in the Russian locale I have already helped almost everyone who could.

Well, and also, of course, it should be borne in mind that many users do not read this section and may simply not be aware of the existence of my topic, also some users lack initiative and are just too lazy.

Great work. Same goes for me, but in the Dutch section (which is of modest size and sometimes very lively and sometimes - like at the moment - virtually dead). All in all it's a good thing that the Merit obsession we saw at the very beginning, has tempered a little bit. Some people were willing to sell a kidney in exchange for some Merit back then.

This is a good initiative for the betterment to the helpful users in the forum, I have come across a similar thread on the meta board that's helping users with merit nearly to rank up, @DdmrDdmr is also undergoing the same thing you doing on the meta board.
Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline- Those close to their next rank (lacking Merits)

If the user is interested, he will find the ways himself.

I found two different things here, DdmrDdmr finds the users himself, while yours the user shows interest with application, keep up the good work dude.

I think it's best this way. At least the topic is clear enough and it's not like the merit is just up for grabs or owner of OP is scared of having his/her smerit burnt off as per hodding it over a long period of time. I believe every active user of the forum would be able to spot this topic out. If they don't, it only implies they've been stock to one particular board and that's clearly no good for them. Although, language could be a barrier but, the owner of OP goes with english I suppose.

Indeed, that's mostly the case, they do not fit on the category of "little left to the next rank". No need to apply because they will just be rejected because of that above mentioned reason. I find myself fitted here, so I will apply.
