681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019? on: December 24, 2018, 05:05:04 AM
2018 is not a profitable year for almost all Crypto enthusiasts. Though there's an increase in adoption of blockchain technology but almost all crypto assets have lost close to 90% of their all time high and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. In some weeks now, we will say goodbye to 2018 and the hope of market recovery will now cling to 2019. Though am not trying to be pessimistic but what if nothing change in 2019, what if the bear market continues unabated, will it be the end or sign of the end for Cryptocurrency because I don't think many will still continue to retain their hope if nothing positive happens at least for the first quarter of 2019.

In past years of cryptocurrency, there were always change in the market atmosphere.
The change can be occurred at any time, i guess the 2018 is the bad change for cryptocurrency.
But in 2019, i see some potential projects in crypto, which can affect the market too.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy now or wait? on: December 24, 2018, 04:50:57 AM
Hi, i am wondering if i should buy a little bit of top 20 coins at current prices, 8th dec 2018, or wait until the market gets lower. What do you guys do?

I have bought the current dip, or at least... when market cap was still around 120 billion usd. Following my policy to buy after huge drops only, i planned to buy the next dip if market cap is around 60 billion usd. But should i not buy the current dip twice? Because what if the bakkt launching next month is succesful? What if it gets followed up by the ETF getting approval in the february sec-decision? What if it all comes paired with new developments that occur? Is this a realistic scenario for short-term?

What would you do, if you were following my plan/policy? I don't buy with large amounts so i can take some losses, what do you think is best?

If you bought the dip in this early december, then you must have your profit now because the market is recovering.
Now is the time for selling, everyone who smart were buying the dip of btc around $3000.
Bitcoin ETF approval is not affecting the price for now, but i dont know later if it get approved or rejected.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Christmas gifts this year, all my money in Bitcoin on: December 23, 2018, 04:27:50 PM
Rest assure friend, if you keep holding your btc with patience, i believe you will get your profit.
Your Christmas day in this year maybe not too good, but next year if the market recover, it will be more than just good.
I think there are many peoples who keep their money in btc for this year Christmas because the market crypto is bad to sell now.
684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: During these hard times, it's time for self improvement on: December 21, 2018, 01:59:48 AM
When there is a bull-market everyone jumps on the bitcoin train, we get a ton of newbies and most of them are greedy bastards just wanting to make a quick buck off-of us.

Now that the market is down, most of these people have left us. This gives us time and quiet to improve on our skills and understanding of bitcoin.

Now that the dead weight is off we can re-evaluate our objectives with bitcoin and come back sharper on the other end of it.

We don't need everyone talking about bitcoin, we don't need people who are here to make profit without working. What we need is scaling solutions. We need more active peers on the network.

We need people selling food, electronics, land and everything else. We need people who buy those things and sell products for bitcoin.

We need restaurants and fishermen and farmers.

We need movers and shakers.

We don't need more speculators. We have enough of those.

Bitcoin price back to the bottom because many peoples didn't get their quick profit.
They who bought bitcoin to gain quick profit must be already dumped btc in the market because btc was keep falling.
Btc value will increase and not falling again if many of us adopting bitcoin to use in real life, start from us.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Central Banks? on: December 21, 2018, 01:44:41 AM
If we are dealing with cryptocurrency which is decentralized, why we need the centralized bank ?
Centralized banks are used in fiat currency because fiat is not decentralized.
I believe cryptocurrency can running without central bank. Unless there are some advantages for crypto when using central bank, i guess it won't be necessary to using central bank.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Should I do if my bitcoin has been stolen, and where should i complain ? on: December 20, 2018, 03:00:52 AM
Hi Friends, actually one of my BTC address from Zebpay account having almost 0.01550 BTC has been hacked and the amount has been stolen just few days ago. The amount was not quite big for me, but i really fear about the security of holding the BTC in exchanges and now even in wallets.

I Just want to know is there any ways i can get back my BTC back to my account and also is there any website or authority who can help me out in getting back my stolen BTC, let me know about it. Also let me know what safety measurement should i take while holding my BTC in Exchanges. Thanks in advance.

Does your exchange account has been hacked ? If you used exchange account, you should protect your account from any kind of phishing site.
Maybe you visited the phishing site and input your login and password there and then your account has been compromised.
I think you can reach the exchange support, if the hacker's withdrawal still pending, maybe you can get your btc back.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: December 20, 2018, 02:34:09 AM
Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh

This is not the end of bitcoin. I think peoples tend to think that bitcoin age is over when the price of bitcoin and cryptocurrency crashing.
I remember from the past years on 2014 or 2015 something, many said that bitcoin already over.
The fact, later after that year, bitcoin value was recovering and surpassed the all time high price in the market.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you use diversification? on: December 19, 2018, 03:38:04 AM
For example, you have some altcoin (in my case it's Metaverse ETP) and you expect it to grow. But in a weak market, this altcoin behaves like bull and you have the opportunity now to sell it and buy an asset that looks weak in the market (for example Qash, Tierion, Nem, Odyssey or Republic Protocol) in order to get the greatest possible profit. Or leave a strong asset and wait for its further growth. What do you think about this?

Yes, diversification is good for us because we don't know if our coins will be gain or loss later.
If we only focusing on 1 coin, we will have risk to get a big loss if our coins going down in the future.
Diversification is the way to secure the value of your investment portfolio i think.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Does ICO and bounty die? on: December 19, 2018, 03:10:16 AM
Hi all. I took part in more than 3 hundred bounties in two year. Last half year there are no pay from project to hunters. Maybe bounty will die or it's transformayion in something other Huh  Huh Huh

It is not die, the amount of ICO is only decreasing due the bad performance of many bad ICO's.
If there are less ICO project, then the number of available bounty campaigns will decreasing too.
When there are no many campaigns, you must choose the project wisely if you don't want to waste your efforts and time.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security on: December 18, 2018, 02:54:52 AM
Someone close lost his bitcoin to some scammers who posed as an ICO project admin.
We have the wallet address but there's no way on planet earth to trace the fraudster offline.

Don't you think its high time , this is looked into.
There needs to be a way of linking account owners to their offline address .
This would mitigate  in no small measure the prevalence of frauds.

There are many scammers in cryptocurrency, that's why we need to take extra cautions before we spend our coins.
I think ICO admin won't message you first in most ICO, you must message them first to avoid any kind of fraud.
Although we cannot trace the fraudster wallet, we can trace their address where they sent if they using ETH network.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real "Miners" shutdown the Mine, Unless they can make a profit on: December 18, 2018, 02:22:40 AM
It seems that you deliberately provoke the miners to stop mining anymore so the hash rate will dropping and you can mining with greater profit, isn't it ?
If the value of bitcoin doesn't make profit in mining because too cheap, why we don't just buy it ?
We know that the bitcoin value has increased after the crash many times in the past.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next year cryptocurrency market on: December 17, 2018, 03:34:20 AM
I need to know if the coins like early in the year will start to inflate prices. However, I think this way the market will not rise. Say your ideas.

Although we don't know the price will inflate or not, but the entire year of 2018 showing us it won't inflating in near time.
Cryptocurrency is volatile in the market, i don't think any peoples will be able to say if next year crypto will rising.
What makes me worry is the long bear market in 2018 can make peoples sell their coins immediately after crypto value start rising.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does it take to become a pro on: December 17, 2018, 03:23:43 AM
I am really interested in this question. And you might be surprised, but I came here not only for money, but on the first place I put the feeling that I can do something important. Cryptocurrency world is not a teaching, medicine or life guard area, but i am a strong believer that every person should do something important for him, his family and friends and for other people as well. So I am thinking of becoming some kind of cryptocurrency consultant or something like that. But I understand that in order to achieve this goal I need to have a perfect portfolio and to become a highly qualified professional myself. I am ready to hard work for years, but i want to know how much time will I need? One year is not enough but what about three or four years? Will it be enough? What do you think? Thank you very much and good luck with your business.

If you want to become pro in cryptocurrency, of course a vast knowledge about cryptocurrency is required.
Maybe the ideal experience to be a pro is about 5 years because you need to observe about the cryptocurrency value in the market within years.
For some traders, they know when they must buy or sell coins due the experience of trading in crypto market.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some "whales" preparing for selling operations? on: December 10, 2018, 03:41:26 AM

What lead me to conclude that Bitcoin won't recover, main reason being that I know noone still believing in it. Nobody to "invest" in apart from those almost religious about it (there is obviously a bias reading a bitcoin forum compared to real life : 10 millions$/day shifts says that too)

Are you sure that bitcoin won't recover ? Bitcoin was recovering from the multiple crashes in the past years.
There is no one can predict the bitcoin price in the future, but you can tell bitcoin won't recovering anymore.
I think bitcoin value still unpredict, it can rising or falling more than this price at any time. There is no certain thing in the crypto volatile market.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This why you shouldn't be worried on: December 10, 2018, 03:21:40 AM
This is why you shouldn't be worried and should understand how bitcoin works

ps. sorry I don't know how to load an image  Grin

Unfortunately there are only few peoples who can waiting patiently for the bitcoin value to recover.
Of course we will worrying if our money value keep decreasing because our bitcoin price keep falling.
But this is not the end of bitcoin, the past crashes tell us that bitcoin always hit all time high although there is no guarantee it will happening again in the future.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should I start buying ICOs again on: December 08, 2018, 04:58:18 PM
There seems to be a new wave of ICOs coming up again. The crypto market also appears to be getting ready for a bull run.
I am wondering if buying some decent ICOs will be wise at this point.
Will be glad if those who are knowledgeable of past market cycles can advice me on this.

I appreciate all reasoned contributions

What is your opinion base on ? If you know something will happening, i guess we need to know so we can create better community.
If the new wave of ICO will coming soon, then it is the time for us to accumulate more ETH in our portfolio so we can invest on some good ICOs later.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Value of investments decrease on: December 07, 2018, 04:33:06 AM
The value I saw in my investments this morning got me thinking "do I continue with crypto or just quit?". Honestly am greatly concerned.

The value of my coins even dropping more deeper now. ETH hit $90 and keep falling now.
Of course you will concerned because the value is crashing more than before and that is normal.
You may want to sell your coin, but don't quit crypto. If you sell your coin, just wait until the market recover and there will be many chances to get.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrity Endorsed Cryptocurrency on: December 07, 2018, 03:53:09 AM
Stox: Floyd Mayweather, Luis Suarez, Liang Tian
Centra: Floyd Mayweather, DJ Khaled
Cobin Hood: Jamie Foxx.
The Game (Rapper): Paragon
Max Keiser: Maxcoin
Paris Hilton: Lydian Coin

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??

Why there is no McAfee on your list ?  Grin
I think it will be good if you not blindly buying the coins suggested by the celebrities out there.
They are not crypto experts. Unless they know the project is really have potential, i think im not gonna buying the coin.
Own research and due diligence will help us better to find a good project.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whose advice you take when it comes to Bitcoin? on: December 06, 2018, 02:24:39 AM
Hi guys,
I was reading this:
https://news.bitcoin.com/survey-finds-john-mcafee-is-most-influential-crypto-trading-figure/
today and i was interested if you agree with the article?
When you take decisions regarding Bitcoin, do you follow one's advice or you do investments as you wish?

Advice is good for us, as long we can obtain the advice from a trusted resource but i never blindly follow their advice.
Aside from advice, we need to do our own due diligence when we are involving in cryptocurrency.
Our money, our responsibility. So we need to take caution when we want to investing on some coins.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cannot wait for the Lightning Network to go mainstream!!! on: December 06, 2018, 02:06:16 AM
On Monday I bought a item on sale from a online website and they had a buy 1 / get 1 free deal for the day. I placed my order and I paid with bitcoin, but they have a 10 minute timeframe for the transaction to confirm. <Only 1 confirmation is needed>

So, I did the checkout and I paid with Bitcoin <Electrum wallet with the highest fees> and watched the countdown from 10 minutes. Well, the SegWit transaction  did not confirm in 10 minutes. <It took 23 minutes on the first attempt and 28 minutes on the second attempt>

In the end, my money was refunded and I missed out on the deal.  Angry

The Lightning Network would have solved this problem, but we are not even close to mainstream adoption and the merchant says that they not going to switch to the Lightning Network, until there are large demand for it.  Tongue

Yes, the main thing made me concern in bitcoin is the transaction speed.
There are many peoples already using bitcoin nowadays, but they need to wait their transaction accordingly with the btc blocktime.
Lightning network is the solution to overcome the slow block time in btc. If it fully developed, everyone can use bitcoin without waiting for 10 minutes.
