I am sure there are other alternatives to github. They are chasing a ghost here. Many devs already moved from GitHub to somewhere else. (GitLab, SourceForge, Bitbucket ?) If microsoft buy these too, there will be something else. Maybe some day all the development moves to deepweb/tor network. When Microshaft announced the github takeover I moved our stuff to a self-hosted gitea instance and back it up via duplicity to a protonmail account. Fixed. Being in this business since the early 90s I learned that whatever you use from Redmond will bite you sooner or later (often sooner).

Restrict SSH strictly to the static IPs that need SSH access via hosts.allow / hosts.deny . Also make sure to restrict RPC access properly and secure/encrypt the communication between bitcoind and your rpc endpoint by proper means like an IPSec tunnel, SSH tunnel etc.

As with most coins anyone in the community can do whatever they want. It is all of our coins. If anyone wants to help the coin out by attempting to get listed in other exchanges have at it. To me the website is important to get back up and am working on that. Even posting on the facebook page would help a lot. https://www.facebook.com/spacecoincurrency/ If interested in becoming a admin message me. I believe there are 1000 followers now on fb. It's great to see somebody taking care of the website and the community in general, thank you! I'd like to offer a bounty of 50'000 SPACE for getting it onto a new (somewhat useful) exchange.

I am offering a bounty of 100'000 G3N for getting Genstake on an exchange!
The exchange needs to have a moderately small average overall 24h volume of at least 0.25 BTC. Ideally it would be an exchange without KYC but that is not a requirement.
Getting G3N on the voting list of an exchange will be tipped by me with 1'000 G3N.

back on, these things always seem to take longer than you think
What country makrospex?
Never, ever, trust a bank "safe" deposit in the US, the banks raid them on the regular.
I'm in central europe, on the countryside. There are different measures over here, but you never know, right? Somehow i'm glad they didn't call, i might have got involved with their services. Thought I'd post this link as further deterrent to trust a bank safe no matter where (referring to the country where you'd think you could trust a safe to some degree): https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/business/bank-burglary_safe-deposit-boxes-plundered-in-basel/43961252AFAIK no refunds have been paid to safe owners to date.. On top of that you have to yell "Cukoo" every hour... [ 1]

hi, is there a link to a SFC wallet? i assume it isn't traded on any exchanges in the moment. I would like to withdraw my SFC from Coinexchange as its closing tomorrow. (blockchain don't have to be synced fully, i just want to get an withdrawal address.)
I compiled it from source from this repo: https://github.com/solarflareproject/solarflarecoinThough I notice, somebody removed the whole repo at some point. If sources would help you, I could push my local copy to my github for you to clone if you want to trust it. Well after thinking about it, it probably won't help you as the network only consisted of coinexchanges node when I last checked. Therefor if you can't sync fully before they shutdown the wallet, there will be no blockchain copy containing any tx to your address.

don't fight with the Swiss they all have weapons at home. The also have nuclear shelters at home. Every Swiss home has had to be build with nuclear shelter. They definitely have a vision. TFTFY - The responsibility for having a place for every citizen in a shelter has been moved back to the gubbermint quite some time ago (luckily, as these shelter-beasts cost quite a fortune when building a house). There was even a time when regular inspections made sure you have all the equipment in there needed for an emergency (like beds, air-filtering etc.). It was always fun to watch my dad telling the inspectors to GTFO when they asked him to buy beds for our shelter. Our very own plan for an atomic blast was always to open a bottle of good wine and to enjoy the mushroom and the glow.

don't fight with the Swiss they all have weapons at home. Sounds like they don't have bullets at home anymore. People always forget the bullets, they go on and on about how you need so many guns when you can easily go through 500 rounds on a bad day.... Buy ammo. Every time I used to go to Wally Mart I'd grab a box of .22 ammo. Never know. Aparently some alarm formations still got the 30shot can at home. Until 2007 every soldier had this can at home together with the rifle. The rule is that the can may only be opened when a mobilization for a given unit is declared and should serve as self protection while on the way to engaging. While rumour has it that it was easy to get your hands on a few rounds "for home use" when in regular trainings, you always wanted to have a sealed can to show in inspections, I understand they are pretty serious about that. Losing or just opening it seems to translate to quite some time in the cooler. <- Gyrsur pointed that out already..On another note: The girls on the picture in the original post are most probably so called Jungschützen, this is a shooting training open to all Swiss teens from the age of 15 and serves as preparation for military service. For the time of the training they get their personal rifle which they take home with them. The picture most probably shows the chicks on their way from or to the local shooting range. So in Switzerland it can easily happen that you see an army assault rifle in the corner of the kids room.

Happy staking and mining.

Regarding SD card lifespan: I started to use fstrim on the rootfs weekly from cron, but it is too early to judge if that has any beneficial effects on SD card reliability in the Apollo. Will post again, once I have a record of 2-3 months using it.

fedoragold is officially dead, but old fedoracoin (tips) still alive and well !
Unfortunately only gate.io is left as exchange, and their KYC policy seems rather deterrent to people. Since I can't sell my mined coins anymore, I am considering to shutdown the block explorer by end of 2019 if there are no new exchanges beside gate.io. (If anybody is interested to buy my remaining stack of TIPS OTC, please PM me)

I know this is on another exchange besides CE....anyone know?
Don't think so, anyways the network is dead, will be hard to synch right now. The last two nodes were CE and mine and I shut down mine around the time CE announced they're closing shop.
