Most of the places where you get 'free' BTC will not be worth it.
Is you work out how much time it takes to extract the BTC by filling in surveys or whatever, you will be paid well below minimum wage.
Better to spend the time looking for a job or another source of income.

Dank, we need more details. Also: Sucks that your dad has to take the brunt of your karma. Pay your debts.

This has been eating at me so I figured I would ask you all what you think about this. I don't know if this has been talked about before and if so Im sorry.
We all know the government is actively watching bitcoin emerge as a legitimate currency source. I'm sure they are in talks about it behind closed doors. Which we would know to lead to think tanks about regulation. What if the government was planning to mine a large portion of the coin themselves. Im not talking about buying a room full of 6th miners. Im talking about them using something like these NSA datacenters. Building their own high tech hardware that would put our best miners to shame. Would it be possible for the government to miner a large enough portion of the wealth that they would hold controlling interest?
Of course, yes. They could do it without even developing their own mining hardware. It would be a futile waste of money, however, as people would move to a new coin that has technology preventing this.

I have been here for quite a while and have never got used to mBTC, μBTC etc.
Expressing prices in satoshis works better for me, but I have no problem with 0.01 BTC or 0.001 BTC etc.

Hard to see it rally big time when the market cap already 8B.
Global remittances alone were $514 billion in 2012 according to the World Bank. What else do you think Bitcoin could be used for?

The longer it takes, the better for me I think it will be quicker than you expect.

I'm sure Pirat is legit, I just don't understand why he is giving that much bitcoins.
Because he is not giving away that much bitcoin, thus making him not legit!I love how Piratcoin has his lap dogs surface and continue to pump him like he is a real trustworthy guy! LMAO! Sorry - I missed the bit where he ran away with people's money. Did people actually deposit to his website? How much is left outstanding?

Great idea, let's do this.

try eating it instead of smoking
Any reason you would say this? Doesn't eating it make the effects stronger and also longer lasting? If it's giving you anxiety, best to stop it.

Why not? p9suCt32GiU29tQLNWFqpQpfCv4iEAKcnW Because I have no idea what PENG is, which most likely means I don't have any.

I would love to see an auction for one of these coins.

I would split my bitcoin holdings into two parts 90% and 10%. Hide the private keys with two different methods. If LE ask for your bitcoin, give them the 10% stash.
This could work, though possibly not if discussing such an idea was in your post history

The devs should focus on getting this coin stable and ready for release, which seems to be what they are doing.

Doesn't add anything new to the 51% discussion.

I also highly recommend blockchain.info for a spending wallet.
