^^
I don't think in this match either team scored and it resulted in a goal-less draw correct?
Only watched a highlight reel and it was 0-0 by the 86 minute then it cut off.
Napoli was given almost every opportunity to score and couldn't get past Monza's goalkeeper. Tongue

I'm avoiding today's specials since I noticed that it's a prop bet. Instead, i'll go for a BTTS bet between Man United vs. Nottingham Forest since Man United rarely keeps a clean sheet and Nottingham Forest is more than capable of scoring at least one goal at home.

I get OP's point, but exposing someone to these kinds of stories is inevitable when gambling is accessible to most people due to online gambling and others would even use it as a way to promote their casinos. Some gamblers can't help but share their gambling experiences because they don't have someone they can share these stories with. I appreciate reading the winning stories of gamblers because it can be interesting to know the twists and turns they've made before winning. Instead of encouraging cautiousness, the victims should put in more effort when they have more control over the issues that affect them.

The winner's already decided in our matchup and congrats to @bullrun2020bro on his second win. The ninth question ended in his favor after Leeds lost 1-0 against WBA, and with all the upsets in the past few days, I couldn't get any points in the second half.

Maybe the upcoming cup round could help me shift my luck again.  Wink
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Survey: Betting strategy: (WIN)-(WIN+DRAW)-(DRAW ONLY) on: December 30, 2023, 12:22:36 AM
If the odds for the double chance (win+draw) are 1.50 or better, i'll go for it over the win or draw only. I've experienced unexpected results that led me to take safer bets, and I prefer to have a winning bet even if the payout isn't as high.

If you do go for the win+draw strategy, make sure to browse other similar markets because other bookies don't set the same juice on every market, so you could find the odds on the win+draw market slightly worse or better than the asian handicap +0.5, which is the same as win+draw.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 29, 2023, 11:52:06 PM
Chicago Bulls - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers ML - Win
16-point lead, I am an idiot for just taking the ML, I should've taken some spreads.
The Pacers almost choked yesterday against the Bulls after losing their 20-point lead at one point in the fourth quarter, but at least they woke up once the Bulls stole the lead.  Tongue

I'm also fading the Magic and riding the Knicks to win @1.95 because they can put up points consistently (110+) against most of the teams they face.

It'll still depend on who has the better shooting, but i'll take the side that can deliver most of the time.

686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 29, 2023, 03:31:32 PM
I wasn't expecting Napoli to have these odds at home, and I guess it's reasonable when two of their top-scoring player won't play due to suspension.

Even with a few missing players I still think Napoli should have no problem scoring a few goals, as their opponent isn't threatening enough when looking at their road results, and the two wins they earned came from teams on the lower side of the standings.

687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 29, 2023, 02:39:10 AM
In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
The sweet spot is probably around an hour or less because casino games are fast, bets are processed within seconds, and depending on how your luck rolls, you could be quickly losing your bankroll than you expect.

If it's for sports betting, it'd be between one to three hours because there are other ways to approach it, like pre-live and live betting. The latter consumes more time because you have to monitor the entire match, which could last for an hour or more, and wait for the right opportunity to catch the best odds, but there's a chance that it doesn't appear at all.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun, is it a lie that we tell ourselves? on: December 29, 2023, 01:35:24 AM
Perhaps deep down in our conscience, somewhere that we don't like to listen to, it still tells us the truth that the reason why we're going to gamble is to hopefully win money, not really to have fun.
The real fun in gambling starts once you look at it in another way and focus less on the goal of winning money when it's mostly out of your control.

I know that it's said that you should gamble the amount that you can afford to loose, but will you call it a true fun when you know that there's a higher probability of losing your bet?
It's true if you only limit yourself to casino games because of the house edge, but not all forms of gambling have a house edge that lowers the win probability.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 29, 2023, 12:34:46 AM
Chicago Bulls - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers ML They may have won against the Atlanta Hawks but I still don't trust the Bulls.
I also have the Pacers, but I added the extra points in case we have a close match because their shooting could regress after having a solid shooting performance against the Rockets the other day.

Golden State Warriors - Miami Heat - Golden State Warriors (-1.5) It's been so long since I last bet for the Warriors. Taking my chances today.
That's a solid bet now that the handicap moved by a few points and it should be a comfortable win for the Warriors with most of the Heat's starting players potentially out.

The best play for today's TNF would be on the Browns because of their playoff situation, but something feels off when most bettors are expecting the Browns to win by 7 or more.

The under would've been a solid pick against these two good defensive teams, but the over has been hitting more than usual and will probably continue until the final week.

That said, i've come up with this bet builder to bet on the INT prop and added an alternative over to get the plus odds.

@ralle14
Congrats on the win with the Ravens making it look as if the match was no sweat against the 49ers.
Thanks and I wish we get to have more of these sweat-free wins.  Cheesy

Edit: Nice, the betbuilder hits in the second quarter as Flacco got his INT and the total is already at 40+ points.
691  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [In Memoriam] Guess BTC price contest on: December 27, 2023, 04:01:45 AM
$43,650.15

I assume the price will hover around the $43k level as more people continue to increase their Bitcoin savings due to the halving being only a few months away.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 27, 2023, 12:02:52 AM
I think the way to play today might be a parlay against all the horrible teams in the league.
I like that idea. You get around 3.55 for parlaying the match winner of five teams, though i'm not sure if it's worth including the Clippers for the odds boost.

Even though the Rockets had a rare home loss against the Hawks, i'll always take them at odds since they're still solid at home while the Pacers continue to pile up losses on the road (going 1-4) after the in-season tournament.

Edit: Another close loss, as the Pacers cash in with their three-point shooting like they're the Warriors.

What a turn of events to us United backers, from down 0-2 in the first half to winning 3-2 in the end.  Cheesy

When Aston Villa was up 2-0, I thought we'd see a repeat of what Bournemouth did a few weeks ago.

I could've had an early lead if I got the first question correct, but I had the over instead of the under.  Tongue
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: December 26, 2023, 03:57:23 AM
@ralle14. That is a good bet. The 0.5 appears not be needed, however, if the game ends on something similar to a 31-24 scoreline, you would thank yourself for paying for the 0.5.

In any case, Lamar Jackson created an impossible run and got a 1st down after a 31 yard carry. The 49ers fans are boiling hot on this cold night hehehehee.
There's still one quarter left, but the Ravens should close this one out with a win as they're now up by double digits and Purdy is having a bad day with his four interceptions against the Ravens defense.

Initially, I was expecting the worst for them, and i'm glad they got to pull away after getting 17 points in the third. Cheesy
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: December 26, 2023, 01:18:33 AM
I would like to ask if some people here has experienced this too and what is the possibility that most people who experience repeated losses are Ignorant of the game play patterns.
I remember the same thing happening to me when I played one of the new blackjack games from Evolution, and I paid the price for not reading the rules at the start. The game had a slightly different rule over regular blackjack, where there's a higher chance of instantly losing the round. In my case, it took me a bunch of rounds to realize my losses and stop before things became ugly.

Then again, i've had another session where I played without much information about the live table game, and instead of losing, I somehow walked away with a small profit due to my initial luck.

696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 26, 2023, 12:30:39 AM
I also got cooked earlier on the Bucks game, and underestimated the Knicks, thinking they couldn't stop the Bucks for the second time after their one-sided loss a few days ago.

On to the next match, I guess i'll take the Heat to win at home even though they've been a hit or miss. The Heat will be without Butler, while the Sixers won't have Embiid, but I still see them beating the Sixers because they haven't won yet without Embiid in their lineup.

697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: December 25, 2023, 11:10:26 PM
It would have been a perfect day if it weren't for the Broncos failing to stop the Patriots from reaching the FG range.

And what a surprise from the Chiefs earlier as the next upset came from their match and i'm glad I missed it because i'd most likely add Chiefs ML in one of my parlays. Tongue

I've placed my bet on the Ravens to cover against the Niners (with a nice super boost) since the additional points felt too high on the Ravens' side, and all three of their losses have been within a TD or FG.

698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In The Span Of six months what will make you trust a new casino on: December 25, 2023, 05:09:42 PM
My vote goes to having a representative because all it takes is one bad experience from a user to start a scam accusation and they could shed some light on those accusations and even fix them. This doesn't mean i'll immediately trust any new casino once they have a representative. It still depends on how well they can deal with different cases because i've seen others that started with a representative or community manager and still fail to increase their reputation. With a representative, the players get a bit of reliability knowing there's someone they can reach out to and forward their problem.

How did you guys fare in the bet 6-6 promo? Looking at the leaderboard, no one got it correctly, but my predictions were 9 points short (only made 18 points).

GL everyone waiting for New Year promos Wink I'm off to sleep and do Xmas shift.
For the holiday promos, they dropped a couple of codes via their Twitter post, and hopefully, the others were quick enough to redeem the code.

Unfortunately, I missed it, but i'll keep an eye out for the second set of codes, expecting it'll be posted around the same hours.

Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink
I mostly agree with this part because losses will always come and you only need a bunch of back-to-back losses to burn most of your bankroll.

The unexpected win streak is the part I struggle to take advantage of because I prefer to risk the same bet amount no matter what, and I overthink that the next round could be the start of a losing streak.

Also, congrats on capitalizing on those winning patterns while playing with a small bankroll.
