So we don't know if they can come back from 1-3 against this Lakers team, their chances are slim.

It is now 3-1.

Based on the past games of the Denver Nuggets, we could say that LA is not the only one having a reason to be happy about this series. They overcame a 3-1 series twice, now they are on the same situation, will they break their own record? It is true though that the chances are slim and I don't think LAL will make this series longer.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 25, 2020, 02:18:19 AM
Unless gambling is banned in your place, I don't think spider betting is that bad. As a kid, we've been doing that for years and we don't have a problem with that to the authorities. The barangay captain of our place even joins with our fun by cheering with us. It is just we are hard-headed and loves letting these spiders fight, that is just it.

Even if the baranggay captain joins you, that doesn't mean it's right. We all know that any form of gambling (that is illegal) will not be tolerated by the authority, and your baranggay captain know that but always ignored it since he has the power in your baranggay and no one will tell the police (hope so). Given the situation we are in right now, gambling is never the right thing to do especially to the kids, because they are prone to the virus like the senior citizens.

That is why I am talking about when I was a kid.

Which at that time betting on other things is also a thing, and I think Filipinos would only knew; text money, kara, patubig, even turumpo(top) is being betting on, and if you are a Filipino, I doubt that you never experienced one of those. That is a life we had in the past, we never even looked at it as gambling since we are having fun doing that, we just realized that growing up.

I think gambling is part of our tradition, Most of us Filipinos usually say, "Pustahan tayo"(lets bet on it), when they know they are right, they would even add "sama mo pa bahay mo"(you could even bet your house).
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 24, 2020, 11:25:31 AM
Wow it's not dangerous to chase those spiders?
You're using some special equipment for that? Like gloves helmet and suit?

Your reactions are really great.

I think you live in a wilder environment like maybe Australia or the US with your reactions but I could link a picture here of what it really looks like:

this one
and this one

We usually see them in that leaf sleeping or in their web if we are actually lucky. It is cool though since it is not like the other spiders that is venomous or so big that it could fit in your hand. They are actually amazing since they are not hostile that would bite you if you hold them, you could even pick them up and blow them softly to make them sleep like that in the picture. We don't have suits or gloves, heck we even go to mountain sides without even wearing any tops. The only thing we should worry about is snakes and this leaf called "lipa", also called here in our country, "lipang kalabaw", "alingatong" or in english, tropical wood nettles based on google. Oh and yeah, I should add our mothers in there since they would be really furious when they knew we did that.
684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is a good option?? Trade or Hodl on: September 24, 2020, 10:00:13 AM
Trade and Hodl everything is the good option but depend on the time sometime better option is hoddle and sometime better option is Hodl and sometime better option is trading on I thing that everything depended on the time and situation, first make the decision what you want Trade or Hodl you can handle smoodly that then decided Trade or Hodl if your better option or like.
Yes you're right. You can also rely depends in which token would you like to hodl or trade. If the tokens seems so long to develop and must wait to much time but worth of waiting, you must hold it for a long time. But if the token is good for trading and have too much ups and downs then you can trade it. Strategies and techniques have huge advantage to do for trading and holding.

It is more profitable to hold on to business if we can choose the right currency then we have to wait a long time but if the price goes up it is possible to achieve double profit the market needs to be analyzed well bitcoin and ethereum are the most popular currencies to hold in the crypto market. Most traders choose these currencies to hold.

In terms of these popular cryptocurrencies, I prefer them to trade.

I do hold most of them but when the price go up, instead of selling them, I used to trade them with a cryptocurrency like ETH and other cryptos that has a high possibility of increasing in the near future. There are a lot of them in the market though you still need to be careful since not all of them are that fast to give a profit.
685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade if you're inexperience rather stake your coins. on: September 24, 2020, 08:19:25 AM
We all started to be inexperienced.

But that doesn't mean that they can't trade. They can start small and make it bigger as they go or as they feel the changes in the market. Trading is not something that could give you a profit through time so if you ever feel a loss, or maybe lost to what you are doing it is not wrong to ask for help. Mistakes and losses are inevitable, hence look at it as a lesson not a reason to stop.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a sure legacy on: September 23, 2020, 10:42:26 AM
I think you should not rely a 100% on Bitcoin.

It is true though that a lot of people earned a lot of profit from investing on it but in the future, we can't say that it will be Bitcoin all the way. You should not put all your money into it and just put something you can afford to lose. I will hold my Bitcoin as long as I can think it will be profitable to me, I am still looking forward on using it daily but for now let's take advantage of what we have right now.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 23, 2020, 08:27:07 AM
Bitcoin is a decentralized not a centralized. Some government would not allow Bitcoin as a payment because they are not the one controlling the coins.
Bitcoin payment can only work in some private organization, Base on the agreement between the employer and employees in the organization.

It would be great if we get paid with bitcoins, but unfortunately, it's impossible.
Most of the governments cut taxes from our salaries, but they can't cut it from bitcoin because of its decentralized, and there's no way to control it. The government are against it and they'll never replace fiat with bitcoins.

How is that impossible?

If we are just talking about cutting taxes from our salaries, they could just deduct that certain amount from the salaries if they wanted to. It is not a problem but I think the problem here is the volatility since we might be surprised with a salary with a lower value if we will be accepting Bitcoin. Companies could do this, not just the government.
688  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is becoming legal in my country! Any business idea? on: September 23, 2020, 06:25:36 AM
Trading will be a good business if you can train yourself and have the knowledge for it. It is a good way to earn. You have to be adequately informed with everything about it. Your government approving it will open up many opportunity for the youths to buy, hodl and earn in cryptocurrency.

It is more of a job than a business.

Though if you wanted to do a business related to trading and investing and if you have the money to start that, you could just start an exchange or a trading platform if you wanted to but that would be hard and risky considering how careful people are in this community. Maybe accepting them in a store if you have one is the easiest one.
689  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 23, 2020, 04:36:08 AM
In Philippines there is nothing change with the price of the foods still at the same because they know what are the situation right now of the people, they don't have enough capability to buy different foods if they increase the amount of price of their product, also in our country they are not prepared yet and not fully recover form this covid 19 but some of the business are still on going but some of them are already filed bankruptcy. The most problem of the people right now where is to find a source of income to fulfill the needs of their family. I think soon they will increase the price of the food just to make recovery to our economy.

It may look the same but it is scarced.

Scarcity will lead to increasing of prices especially to those people with increasing cases. My family in the province are having a hard time to buy rice, some people can't afford rice with high price but they don't have a choice because NFA is scarce since it is used for the help the government but still not being given and I am still wondering when are they planning to distribute them.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 23, 2020, 03:24:11 AM
Game of skills is a lot fun compared to game of chance for me. If I'm good at it I have the edge of winning rather than depending on your luck on game of chance type of gambling game. Winning is a little bit on your side in skill based games and you can totally earn money if you play consistently unlike in traditional gambling games where you can screw up over and over and you cant do anything about if because its purely based on your luck.

Yes, that is exactly the reason why skill games are better than traditional gambling games. Thrill and the feeling that you have at least some control are the best part for me. Feeling hopless depending only on luck isn't very exciting and promising for me that is why I prefere skill games.

But there are people that still depend on luck.

I don't know what they are thinking or what they're goals are but they are having fun playing those. I guess in terms of these games, gamblers still have different game that they favor or their favorite. My friends told me that they don't really chase after the wins, they are having fun and they are used to play those games.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Dade to open Casinos and Restaurants for the third time. on: September 23, 2020, 01:40:55 AM
I agree with your way of thinking, now reopening casinos is not a business alone. But regarding the fate of the employees who work
at the casino, they need income to buy their daily needs. If the casino doesn't open again and waits for the spread of the virus to stop
there will be new problems, because no one knows when a vaccine can be found, because a pandemic like this can last a long time.
So the right step is to reopen the casino, because we can't just wait until the vaccine is found. There is no other way but to face this virus,
even though the risk is quite large, because if we are not careful and run health protocols correctly, there will be an increase in the spread
of the corona virus.

All we can do now is risk to that.

But we don't need to say that we will be facing the virus since as long as we are still following the precautions, the protocol to be able to avoid the contamination of the virus, we could still take care of ourselves. The chance of increasing the cases is high with opening these kinds of places but it is on us on how we would be taking care of ourselves. With the people who's anti-mask, that would really be a problem.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 22, 2020, 10:09:48 AM
But not in our days now because of Physical distancing, yeah Spider gambling is enjoyable but this isd very much need to be close together
since the Stick that where Spider fight is to small so people need to look closer together to find out the status of each fight.

Maybe after the Pandemic everything in gambling will back soon and not only local gambling like this but all
 the games involved in betting.

Some of them are still doing that.

I contacted my family in the province and most of my nieces are boys and they have these spiders which they brag to me and even let me watch the fights of it. They are not using a stick but these little plastic box where they could see what is happening inside. They live in one house so I don't see any problems to that in terms of social distancing.
693  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not sell under 20.000$ ! Why you do ? on: September 22, 2020, 09:37:32 AM
We have our own goals, we have our own purposes.

What if he sold lower than the price he bought his Bitcoin because there is this emergency that he needs to tend to and he wanted to use the money? There are reasons that we don't know and I hope it is not just something they don't know. I will hold since that is how it should be and I will sell if I wanted to but that doesn't mean that I wanted to lose my money but because I needed it and I reached my goal and I am not talking about all of it.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: September 20, 2020, 10:50:07 AM
Sure people were scamming others right since the inception of bitcoin. But that stupid twitter hack made it mainstream.

Bitcoin is not at fault there.

Take note that Twitter's security is breached by a kid making their platform's security unreliable. The point here though is that people should not believe such things with easy money. The hacker used Twitter to send the people's Bitcoin in their wallet, if anyone should be blamed here it is Twitter's security and the hacker, not Bitcoin.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bounce Back is coming? on: September 20, 2020, 09:52:52 AM
As price is not stable for crypto currency like bitcoin. It can be up or down any time. But yes we can predict and conscious about it to protect our money from loses.

We never know what will happen in this market.

It can just go up or down but I don't think that predicting what will happen will protect our money, it puts our money into more risks that is why I think if you want to protect your money, you should do some things to reduce the risks you are taking, one of them is by diversifying your investments. We never know when will price goes higher, all we know is that we should take some precautions so we would not suffer great losses in the near future.
696  Economy / Speculation / Re: sell now or you WILL regret it on: September 20, 2020, 09:46:32 AM
This is the best time to hold on as we are just scratching and preparing for the bullrun. The end will pay off for those with strong hands.

Since we didn't pass through the wall of $12K, I am also telling my friends this.

I think that this might be just a back turn for the price to be ready for the higher goal in the next few months. The price is doing well as it hits again $11K and went down again which might just go back after some time. With the fast regain that happened, I don't think most of us sold our Bitcoin so I think most of us are still waiting for that pump to happen.

What factors do you think will trigger a bull market in the coming months? To be honest, I cannot imagine it. And I do not think that the presence of a large number of holders (who did not exit during the last fall) is a positive factor - with the next rise (large) they will take profits at each peak, which will lead to pullbacks.

Thanks for that feedback.

It is just a thought of mine but I am not really saying that it will hit a bull run, I'm just saying that it might hit higher price in the next months since we are having a hard time breaking that resistance at $12K. If we break through it we might be able to reach higher price and I think that is why you think it will lead to pullbacks since with that quick regain of the price of where we are right now, those people did not exit which if we make a good price, they might take that time to sell.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 20, 2020, 08:52:44 AM
Of cause it can help in a short term just like it was in Colorado or Washington. There are numerous economic benefits of legalizing cannabis: increased tax revenues, job growth, and investment opportunities.

I am against this.

I know that this is a medical drug that can be used to patients but legalizing it as a recreational drug could open opportunities yes, but would affect the country as a whole. That might affect jobs, would potentially increase the crime rate and I am not just talking about an increase but a massive increase that could also affect the country negatively.
698  Economy / Economics / Re: Your eyes can help your economy, please protect it for your good. on: September 19, 2020, 06:00:30 AM
Eyes are one of the important organs in our body, we can have a vision because of our eyes and we must care for eyes. But if you're relating eyes as one of the major factors for successful trading, don't forget our ability to think for us to be able to analyze the current flow of the market. Eyes will be gonna useless if you have a useless mind in trading, it means that every action should be done wisely and thinking is one of the major aspects of knowledge.

So true.

You don't always need to rely on what you see, most of the time you might be deceived on what the eyes can see. With the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies moving so fast, without thinking what you are doing you might make some decisions based on what you see and that might be bad since you never know what will happen so you make decisions based on what it might be in the future to what you are seeing right now.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 19, 2020, 03:08:37 AM

Final quarter now and Lakers still dominating, leading by 24 points, let see how nuggets will try to push the last run
or they will rest Jokic and Murray then comeback strong in game 2.
Anything can happen as we already witness lots of alike situations before the WCF finals. Keep watching till the last
buzzer.

Blowing two digit leads now are a thing.

It happened to Boston Celtics, it happened to LA Clippers and it can also happen in this game since this is Denver Nuggets we are talking about. I agree that we should just wait now until the final buzzer since we never know when will these players blow up. I can't watch right now so I just pinned the scoreboard that is available on Google.
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 19, 2020, 02:07:08 AM
Thank you for these precisions.
Ok so it's a very special kind of betting, it's very hazardous as far as I understand. You can't really guess which is the strongest opponent before the start of the fight apparently. So it's more a gambling game than a betting game at the end...

As a kid growing, we never even thought about this as gambling since we are just having fun goingon mountain sides, hunting for these spiders. In our place, you show your spider and the other one will show a spider and you two will agree of they are match or not. We don't usually bet on it because if you lose, the spider that you hunt for hours will be the food of his.

We usually bet on it.

We don't care what other people say at that time but when we do those matches, there are a lot of people surrounding us and when the spiders are unto it, the crowd are shouting. We even received  some punishment by cleaning because of the loudness of the matches. We bet on it but we didn't acutally got in trouble by betting on it but because of how we enjoy the match.
