681  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The vastness of this forum (Bitcointalk) is quite Amazing . on: November 27, 2023, 06:13:16 PM
I don't want to take away your illusion but underneath the surface there is a lot of garbage. Apart from the technical sections and some others, there is a lot of writing without thinking too much because you are paid to do it. If you want to learn in the forum you have many useful threads but you have to select among all the garbage.
This is certainly true. The forum may look perfect to educate every forum member but if you see it more closely, there are also a lot of post who are not showing rationality and are obviously made only because the signature campaign requires it to do so. While there are various topics that would fit for every newbie in the forum, but there are also series of topics that are just redundantly made just to contribute to the forum.

But in general, I would say the bitcointalk forum is still the most reputable and the most reliable avenue when it comes to facts and worthy experiences. Just learn to sort out every topic if it can still be useful for you or not anymore.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 04:08:23 AM
No Durant and the Suns are still winning the game currently. Gordon and Booker seem to be holding it down so far. Knicks better get someone besides Brunson going or they're not gonna have a chance in this game.

The Knicks couldn't take advantage in this game despite the Suns being undermanned, missing two of their superstars, and the Knicks playing at home. Suns with Booker (+ -) Durant really playing good basketball here, so even if bookies would sometimes make them as underdog, we can be confident that they have a good chance of winning, I'm wondering what the ML odds for this game?
Phoenix odds on Moneyline were +180 before the game started. If I were to bet the Suns without Durant I probably would have taken the 6 points to be safer. Missing 2 of your good players is a serious disadvantage and Booker has too many off games to rely on him for big points.

Before that game, Booker scored 40 points in their win against Memphis. Considering Memphis is considered a weaker team, bettors might have hesitated to take the Money Line against the Knicks, who had lost their previous game. So, +6 seemed to be the right bet, and indeed, it turned out to be a close game. If Knicks hadn't struggled in the first quarter, the Knicks could have won, but the Suns still managed to cover as +6 was too many points to give.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy with unusual/strange gambling sites on: November 27, 2023, 03:18:57 AM
I'm curious about the casino you've been trying and the coins you're using, especially since you're gambling with $5 or $6. If you're using Bitcoin, the transaction fees might make your winnings negligible.

While it's understandable that you're in the experimental stage and not depositing a significant amount, I'm interested in knowing the rationale behind trying non-reputable gambling sites when reputable ones offer a variety of games. From a general standpoint, it doesn't seem to make much sense in my opinion.
684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you need to know about trading on: November 26, 2023, 09:55:14 PM
Most people think life is a bed of roses, is all about sunshine,  enjoyment etc not knowing that there's always a  tough time and the ability of one to overcome this time makes him great.  Tough time is the point through which poor and successful people emerges depending on the choices and decision they take.
Most traders and investors are inpatient they only think of the positive side of it ( making profit) not knowing there will always be a loss someday,  well most of them know but when they make losses they became frustrated and unstable,  some will give up because of that little experience.  Sometimes we make losses and we have bad experience like we offend God but no, we are only been tested.  Some of the spirit of a trader or invest is "I can make it mindset, resilience...
Trading has its inevitable losses. You don't trade because you aim for bigger profits quickly, you will only be successful and profitable in trading through learning from your trading mistakes and losses.

Trading is not only a battle of mental and physical skills, but behavior also matters a lot. Be patient so you won't create hasty decisions, and stay positive despite of the losses you incur from your trades. While trading is hard and tough, but it can always be learned and mastered overtime. Just never quit as winners never quit.
685  Economy / Economics / Re: Economists advise caution in trading in Bitcoin currency on: November 26, 2023, 08:17:58 PM
Does this mean that fiat is safe to invest despite of its depreciating value? Otherwise, this kind of post is just nothing but a duplicate, trying to discourage everyone from trusting bitcoin simply because it's a threat to fiat and the government is not supporting it because they can never control bitcoin transactions, unlike fiat that they have the full authority to navigate it whenever they want.

Economists are government allies so as much as they want to cover up fiat, the more that they are task to make people believe that bitcoin is dangerous and not a safe currency. At the end of the day, it's the people's decision whether they will invest and take risk with bitcoin, or they will simply abide whatever the government imposed them to do so.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 26, 2023, 01:54:58 PM
A useful technique, especially for sports betting, is for gamblers to open multiple sportsbook accounts and spread their bets. This way, they can stay within the lower betting levels where the system wouldn't trigger a KYC requirement.
when the system reads this way, it can be dangerous for the accounts. ~snip~

I don't believe playing on multiple sportsbooks would violate the rules of a particular gambling site, so I don't see any risk in doing so. While creating two or more accounts on the same gambling site could potentially cause issues, spreading bets across multiple sportsbooks is generally considered safe.

Personally, I have accounts with at least five sportsbooks, and I haven't faced any problems with them. The intention is not to cheat but to explore the offerings of each sportsbook.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 26, 2023, 01:22:35 PM
I often try to withdraw money hundreds of dollars is still considered safe without KYC on big sites

I'm in the same boat; that's my preferred range, so I don't encounter the need for KYC requirements. I believe everything is automated, and the KYC requirement won't be triggered as long as you are gambling within that range, i think less than $1k in transactions, including withdrawals and deposits would be fine. The site can continue to serve its gamblers because the amounts involved are not significant. This means that smaller gamblers enjoy more anonymity compared to those who are high rollers in gambling.

A useful technique, especially for sports betting, is for gamblers to open multiple sportsbook accounts and spread their bets. This way, they can stay within the lower betting levels where the system wouldn't trigger a KYC requirement.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 26, 2023, 12:12:40 PM
Yes, even though Benavidez is not the most skillful fighter or slick like most of the black American fighters, but he gets the job done with his relentless pressure and it's hard to stay away from that for the whole 12 rounds. Hopefully, the pressure that Canelo is getting from the boxing community, he will let his pride fight the young Benavidez. Two great wins by David now, and just destroying them.

So now that he won, Canelo should answer his critics now by approving a next fight with Benavidez, if not then fans will put all the blame on Canelo. Benavidez Sr though said that maybe Bivol or Beterviev could be next if no Canelo, that is also a interesting fight at 175 lbs. And obviously, David is chasing greatness if he fought and won against this 2 top Light Heavy Weight.

Yeah, Benavidez was relentless on his attack that's why Andrade quit on his stool. With this win, we could say that he is really ripe to fight Canelo Alvarez if the latter fights this risky one but i think that Canelo has other things in mind. He might fight the smaller Terrence Crawford as he was calling out his name for quite some time now and that is a very winnable fight for him and the amount of money he may receive is just the same hehe.

Congrats to all who bet for Benavidez to win by KO.

He's 100% ready; we witnessed his power in that fight. Although he doesn't showcase strong defensive skills, I'm impressed his confidence in securing a knockout win, prompting Andrade's camp to stop the fight.

I'm actually surprised that Andrade lasted six rounds despite enduring a considerable amount of punishment before the stoppage. It was an entertaining fight overall, and I must say, Canelo will face a tough challenge with Benavidez if that match materializes. Hopefully, they'll make it happen next year; we deserve to see that fight.
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helping family businesses and fulfilling dreams with Bitcoin. on: November 25, 2023, 10:15:49 PM
What you did is great and satisfying. Congratulations on your achievements. It's known to a lot of us that bitcoin investment can be a lot profitable and useful in our life, and it can create big changes in our life as long as we continue to endure its risk and overcome them. While others may have lose from bitcoin, but a lot have been gaining satisfying profits that made them continue to grow their faith in bitcoin.

Hopefully, you can continue to invest in bitcoin if you have earned sufficient amount to buy bitcoin again. That way, you will also continue to ride with the hype that this bitcoin halving will going to affect the market. When bull run finally starts, at least you will start to enjoy the profits after selling portion of your bitcoin.

690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What’s your portfolio building strategy for crypto? on: November 25, 2023, 08:46:16 PM
Guys, I’d really like to know how you built your crypto portfolio? I’m a seasoned crypto investor myself (not to mention an entrepreneur) and this is just that time of the year when I ask other crypto investors about their strategies. My Strategy is centered around using AI to analyze data and trends of the current market and then rebalancing my portfolio based on my findings. What are you all doing/have done to build your portfolio?
Well, AI is something that I don't think can be 100% reliable for that. Of course, you can still consider looking into AI but you know its not that accurate as you think, so do your own research and resort into doing DCA because for me, that is the most proven and effective strategy to build your crypto portfolio.  A lot have been trusting this DCA strategy and majority of them succeed, but with AI I guess it never really helps in the long run.

However, your money, your choice of strategy, your rule. But remain open-minded so that if ever you see some lapses with AI, then you'll find it easy to shift into doing DCA from your own studies in the market.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 25, 2023, 08:11:05 PM
I was listening to a news that one of the relatives of a person kidnapped him and asked him for bitcoin in ransom. This happened because that person showed his bitcoin holdings to many of his relatives and news spread among them that he has lot of money invested in crypto. Though, finally funds were recovered from that guy but he could have even lost his life in the whole scenario. Thus, you should be careful with disclosing about your bitcoin holdings to everyone.
While you have a good intention to share your achievement to your relatives so that they will also be motivated to invest in bitcoin, but its like you are only tempting them to create an attack against you because what you have is that what they don't have, and they hate the feeling that you have been prospering the whole time while they stay being poor and penniless. Most likely, your intention of helping them creates another meaning and that only puts yourself into unsafe situation.

This is why flaunting what you have is not really healthy and advisable. Instead, save it to yourself and to the people who want to support your success, not on the people who are secretly praying to see you falling down.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 25, 2023, 08:38:23 AM
ROS is still on a losing streak, but if you stick with them, you might start racking up wins, considering their efforts to turn things around. Bookies could keep labeling them as underdogs, creating ample opportunities for us bettors. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed with Ginebra's performance. I didn't witness the consistency I was anticipating, even though their import has been meeting expectations. I feel like his overall impact falls short compared to Brownlee's.

Good suggestion, though, but only if they are up against a strong team. Sure bettors will be betting on one side only, at least most of them, I believe.

Anyway, we have two games today that I think would be worth watching, especially the first game between TNT and Bolts. I don't understand why they are in the first game; I mean, they should be in the last, since the last game, as per schedule, is SMB vs Converge. I don't find it an entertaining game, unless this Converge team plays like ROS, who are desperate to win, making it a close game. By the way, Converge is also winless as of this writing with 0-3, if I recall correctly.

Please take another look at the schedule; you might have overlooked it.

On Nov. 25, we have only one game today, which is Converge vs. SMB, and we also have one game tomorrow featuring TNT and Bolts.

The one and only game today will start at 6:15 PM, so get yourself ready and place your bet, as there will be no more games to watch for today afterward. I checked the betting lines; SMB is -7.5 against a winless Converge, so I think we will see a similar scenario as the game yesterday between ROS and Ginebra, with the latter won the game but failed covering the spread. I'm also betting on my prediction that this game will go over 205.5, as SMB is just too strong in terms of offense. If they dictate the tempo of the game, the chance of it ending over is significant.
693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weak or wise? on: November 24, 2023, 09:39:12 PM
In trading sometimes, there are situations and several times where traders while observing a trade placed and the profit they have made already  from it  begin to think and consider to exit from the trade and take the profit that they have made instead of waiting to the end.

Do you accept to be a weak trader or a wise trader when you exit a trade taking some profit, but not the entirety of what you want on your TP?
Trading itself will never encourage weak traders to keep their trades, but will always chose to encourage wise traders to perform better and wiser, that is the only way so that they will overcome the high risks in trading. However, when you decide to exit a trading even if the desired profits is not yet achieved, that makes you still profitable so you were never a weak trader but a wise one.

But I encourage everyone to never start a trade unless if you are ready. That way, you will never decide to perform sudden exit trading when its not the best time yet, but must be strong and skillful enough to trade until the end of a trade.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 24, 2023, 01:05:18 PM
Game will start in a minute, so good luck with your bets. Me, I think I'm gonna wait for the live betting as I felt like Ginebra is not gonna have a strong start, the first half will be given to the desperate team and Ginebra will take over the 2nd half.

It turns out you are correct, but not until the end of the first half. At one point, Rain or Shine enjoyed a 12-point lead, but Ginebra made a strong run to take the lead back. The score at the end of the first half is 44-49, with Ginebra holding a 5-point lead. Currently, Ginebra is already -9.5, and the spread hasn't changed much even though they are leading now.

We can already see Ginebra showcasing their strength, which is their ability to come back whenever they are behind. This is something that Rain or Shine doesn't have, and they are at risk of losing now because they were not able to protect their lead against a team that excels in the second half.

695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 24, 2023, 05:57:59 AM
The OKC is becoming a trend currently due to its 6-game winning streak and they're now second in the Western Conference. But it will be more exciting to watch their next 4 games as they're facing the other top teams, Philadelphia, Timberwolves, Lakers, and then Dallas.

Meanwhile, after the Milwaukee-Boston game, maybe some of you watched when Giannis asked if he watched Wembanyama play. The answer was very unusual, he said he never watched basketball except when he sat on the bench during Bucks' games. I wonder if he's just upset with the close defeat of he's just another Jokic who play basketball but not a fan of it. Cheesy

Giannis is just keeping it real. He has become what he is now because he focuses extensively on improving his own game rather than watching other games on live TV. It could be that they are upset with the loss, especially after making significant changes to improve the team, only to still fall against a legitimate competitor like the Celtics, if I recall correctly. Most of the time these two teams face off, the Celtics have more wins compared to the Bucks. It seems Giannis has it in his mind that he wants to beat the Celtics, and only a victory will truly satisfy him.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you bet on when your league is in break? on: November 24, 2023, 04:24:56 AM
The fact that leagues have their own breaks makes me think that, as gamblers, we should also adopt that practice.

It's a very stressful journey, especially if we aren't just gambling for fun. You know, you need to gather data, study, and analyze it. So, even though we may not be playing physically, the mental pressure can be significant. In order to maintain healthy minds, taking a break, in my opinion, is necessary. I'm practicing it myself, and not only do I consider it essential for rest, but being able to do this also demonstrates the discipline required as a gambler.
697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, when to buy on: November 23, 2023, 09:47:02 PM
The growth of Bitcoin over years have made it one of the most sorted after asset in the world right now and to me it's a lifetime opportunity that needed to be seized,

So my question is when is the best time to buy Bitcoin?

Many people that have been into the industry before I even came in have mostly suggested the DCA method, some advice I allowed it to drop to my convenience price before I buy.

As a newbie I feel the DCA method is the best base on my own perspective of looking at it on the long term, I don't know if anyone have any better opinion? Because I believe in the hype that  this forum is filled with knowledgeable people about cryptocurrency.

Smart investors never wait for dips anymore, but do the DCA instead just to maximize the opportunities to purchase in the market. And with regards to bitcoin, its price never fail us most of the time so even if we decide to buy at its high price, that won't matter because we are in for long term investment. And the longer we set maximum years for long term hodling, the higher the chances to reap huge profits.

However, not all investors have the same mindset. And that's okay as long as we never sell low, lower than the prices we enter the market.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 22, 2023, 02:46:08 PM
LeBron plays insanely good and I won't be shocked to actually see him winning MVP this year if he will continue to be as dominant as it is but his team really needs to pick up the pace and follow him as soon as possible and last night was a great example of them doing that.
We can't deny his brilliance, he is called the king for a reason. However, on the chance of winning an MVP award again, I doubt that because at his age, I don't think he could sustain maintaining his good production in the last few games.

In the list on points average per game, he isn't even included in the top 10.

https://www.espn.com/nba/seasonleaders/_/league/nba/sort/avgPoints

I must also say that besides LeBron , I'm really impressed how Pacers are playing this season and I can say with confidence that this team could have a deep run this year in the playoffs  Cool

I believe Pacers are the top offensive team this season so far, just like their last game against the Hawks, they scored 157 points, that's impressive.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 9 Years Before He finally claim his lotto rewards on: November 22, 2023, 01:55:30 PM
If you are the winner.

It's always worth ~XD because he was the winner and won the battle case. People in US will think he winning small meanwhile on third country like PH is life changer because the life style are quite small comparing to them.

Shout out to lawyer who are helping him.

Given the lengthy trial, it's possible that he incurred significant expenses on legal fees, especially since he's up against the PCSO, a government agency. The government might not have provided him with a public lawyer, which typically offers more affordable or free legal services. However, what's done is done, and it has ended with a huge victory which he can already enjoy his lottery winning.
700  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you pay for signals? And how much ? on: November 20, 2023, 07:12:58 PM
Dlyou pay for signals? And how much ?
What's your monthly expenses for trading signals? Yearly?
I don't pay but i read alot people pay for signals so how good results If this ?
To be honest, paid trading signals are not reliable as they are. They can be tempting for beginners because most of them would want quick profits, but as what I've heard, they are not working but only push these newbies to still lose in the end. The reason why I don't pay any trading signals even before and just decide to trade using my own developed trading signals which I think will certainly work on my trades.

However, there might be some paid trading signals that may be working but they are only good at first, and they do not guarantee that you will not end up losing to most of your trades.
