681  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: January 24, 2017, 02:53:25 PM
If the bitcoin has a stable price It will be still popular with many retailers accept bitcoin

Of course the retailers prefer the stable prices because they have to buy bitcoin using fiat most of the time and they would regret having to sell it at lower price if prices fall during the day.

Quote
but Bitcoin price cannot stay stable for long.

The reason being bitcoin used as a trading commodity mostly and some pump and dump happening. The price makes bitcoin popular to buy and sell and the fluctuation are main point of attraction for the traders.
yeaaa the current volatile price is only having a lot of benefit for investor and trader.
future money purpose of bitcoin in doubt with this feature.
i personally that have small business in real life and accept bitcoin feel uncomfortable with this volatile price honestly.
Current situation is not conducive to the adoption of bitcoin in day-to-day life use.  Currencies like US Dollars, Euro, etc keep on changing their rates on day to day basis. However the difference is so low that normal trader or person does not notice it. It is noticeable only to someone who trades internationally(or forex). Here every fluctuation and every tremor in bitcoin price is felt equally by users across the world. Thus too much fluctuation is a hurdle for traders/small-business houses.
682  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects of transaction charges per trade in China market on: January 24, 2017, 02:41:32 PM
We all must know what are happening in this world. Like in this kind of transactions charges per trade in China market, we all know that China market must be one of the highest traders in the world. China market will be one of those walls in tradings, but if there is a transaction charges, will China market will go on thru?
This will definitely affect the high volume trades in general. Earlier there was no concern about volume or number of trades traded. This was not available to the other bitcoin markets. Still China is has top bitcoin exchange markets. It would not have happened in first place if china's currency plans got disturbed by chinese people preferring bitcoin. This reaction could be seen as one example what would happen if bitcoin poses to be a capable option or be a threat to the currency of a country.
683  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the capital found? on: January 24, 2017, 12:11:35 PM
How can someone who has no capital find the capital needed to start his own business?
Credit, Debt etc. What are alternative ways like?

Another way to go about that is what is called Venture Capitalist, here you sell your idea to someone who has the money but not the idea but be ready to make some amount of compromise as to the profit sharing part. Also, you must be very convincing for the venture capitalist to buy into your idea and that you are the best to implement the plan...

One needs to be very careful while dealing with venture capitalists(VC). There are many cases where VC has removed the person who had the idea in first place. And later sold the idea to someone else.
Many have taken advantage of VCs and vice versa.
684  Economy / Economics / Effects of transaction charges per trade in China market on: January 24, 2017, 07:15:04 AM
Most of us may be aware of this information that China is about or might have imposed trading charges per bitcoin transaction. Effects of this news were/are imminent. Looks like everyone is in 'wait and watch'.  This move from the Chinese goverment might be boon for  bitcoin market. As traders will be more observant while trading.
What are your opinions about effects this move?

* Check the huobi market[1], either there is very less trade happening or site has a problem.
* Check the OKCoin[1], which shows more trading

685  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: January 22, 2017, 03:46:34 PM
whether revenue from the website also includes passive income? every day I take the time for this forum and my website I have to make a minimum of 1 articles in 3 days, when I first tried it's hard, but hard work is followed with great results
Yep. This is my passive income too. Joining in signature campaign is great for me. It makes me make a profit every week. And I am happy because of simple replying and maki it constructive makes me a passive income. So for signature campaign us the best passive income here in bitcointalk and internet.

There is nothing called "Passive income" - there must be some active role otherwise no one is going to pay your for free.

Writing articles does need active brain functions and thinking. Making constructive posts and participating in signature campaigns need time and thought and reasoning.

Hence they are not passive income - in fact there is no such thing as passive income.
It is better to first define  what is passive income. Some are defining passive income is income without any efforts or work done. Some are defining passive income is self-reliant, which requires very less or no supervision to keep earning.
If we assume passive income is what First thought is then there is no passive income. Except being born in very rich family (I mentioned same in other thread 'gradual passive income'.)
If we assume passive income is what Second thought is then there are lot of opportunities like Renting house or stuff is example of Passive income.
686  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: January 22, 2017, 05:43:05 AM
Could you add the gainbitcoin.com as well?
Detailed explanation about scam nature is available at sub-forum India  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1440600.0

This site is also mentioned in the http://www.badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/

Thank you in advance.
687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Future help please on: January 21, 2017, 11:34:04 AM
It is difficult to get expected results from the survey as all people on bitcointalk.org have bitcoins but all people possessing bitcoins are not on bitcointalk.org.
As explained earlier in thread, nature of survey is not conducive to its cause.
688  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Jumps on Trump Victory on: January 21, 2017, 10:54:07 AM
I don't think Bitcoin price jumps on Trump victory, In fact, we still don't have any proof that President Trump is open into bitcoin. And I don't know also if He is aware about in the system of Bitcoin. Lets see for the coming weeks after His inauguration will happen to bitcoin price. IF bitcoin increase not for Him but for the community of bitcoin and investors of Bitcoin.
Yes indeed inauguration Trump nothing direct influence on the price of bitcoin, but indirectly it affects I think. Inauguration Trump become president will destabilize the economy, because we all know the political conditions will affect the stability of the economy especially the US is very influential country in the world. Economic instability due to the inauguration Trump will make bitcoin prices will rise, so in my opinion indirectly influence. Now we see the bitcoin prices have increased and I think it is also influenced by the inauguration Trump.

Mere Trump becoming President should not be taken as sure shot sign economic debacle. In fact by speculating so, everyone(thanks to mainstream aka paid private propaganda shills)  has lowered the bar of performance for Trump. This situation is in fact advantageous for Trump that even if manages to do single improvement then it could give chance to supporters of Trump to declare they were/are right.
Looking at appointments of ministers from Trump, it is easily observable that his Government would have major Businessmen impact. Just look at the appointment of Rex Tillerson and his recent statement. Then check his interest in South China sea.  For me it is too early to speculate how thing will unfold. It is better to buy some bitcoins for short term goals in mind. This uncertainty have triggered pumped demand causing btc go on bullish.
689  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: January 21, 2017, 08:42:36 AM
Banks are the most trustable one because they will give security for you money. But banks will charge only high amount transaction fee but when compared to other sectors of investment banks will provide little profits on your investment but it will pay on time.

I don't know why there are people that says that you can't trust banks as if that they are using bank services. Let's admit it that we need banking services and you really can trust your money with them as long as they are not the newly operating banks. It's our duty to choose those banks that are more stable enough to keep our money.

it is not some people, it is mostly OP in this topic who is saying that, and he is not telling us the whole story of why his bank closed his account, and since in my 30 years i have never heard of any occasion that a bank closes down someone's account without any reason and don't open it (in case it was a mistake) i say he was indeed doing something against their TOS that is not telling us.
There is no information about OP's country and whether there is any such law which allows Banks to take such action. If such actions like lock account(of course bank will use money from that account for their personal benefit that loan it to somebody else) are allowed then it is very bad.   Not all countries allow such powers to the Banks, many countries have consumer law which protects the consumers exploitation from service providers.
In this case OP is a customer and was using service of a bank.
One such example is laws and regulations from Euro [1]

Max to max a bank can levy charges for account inactivity. The account gets locked only if they receive orders from Govt or Court of Law. Otherwise in many countries a bank account can not simply lock account without any intimation. Doing so would be direct violation of consumer rights.

The way banks conduct their shady business is altogether different subject and discussing it here will be a tangent to the topic. Let's stick to the Original post,

690  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin vs paypal,perfectmony,egopay,skrill on: January 21, 2017, 07:29:39 AM
Most of this online ecurrency like bitcoin, perfectmoney, skrill egopay PayPal etc, which of these e money do you think is best accepted by most website as a means of payment to there site, when you look at reversible currency like PayPal which is popular before know most website are having a second thought about it
From the Opening Post, fundamental misunderstanding of currencies and payment processors can be observed.
* bitcoin = digital currency
* perfectmoney, skrill, egopay, PayPal = online payment processor (mentioned ones are fiat currency processor)
Since OP has not returned to the post, hope he will, he'll put his query correctly.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: $1100 to $750 is significant on: January 21, 2017, 06:33:07 AM
I missed the price updates before the Christmas day ends until January 12 and I was shocked seeing that the value has been already decreased. It's okay at least I still have my coins in my wallet, I am hoping that this continues falling down will change to increasing again.
I think it's really hard for bitcoin to restore its price until $1100 again or even surpasses it, as someone said that bitcoin price when it just reached $1100 is overbought and will eventually finding its stable point when people have made a decision to sell their bitcoin massly and it's proven to be happened and the price was decreasing in just short amount of time.

It will take some time probably months, and yes it was a bubble as other say it.  The rapid increase in price of Bitcoin this past Christmas to New Year created a minor bubble then resulting in rapid decline in price in the next week.  At least Bitcoin is stable now at $790 - $830, I was worried that it might go down to sub $600 when the continue fall of Bitcoin from $1000+ to sub $800 happen.
It's just simply annoying when the correction after skyrocketing way too deep
We should stay at least in $850 after hitting the $1150 or so
And keep growing after , unfortunately the fact recently it shows how the price could possible down deeper
Everyone worry about it no doubt, so panic selling will still happened.
I think panic selling have passed couple days ago. Bitcoin seems going to rise and as I see it's price doesn't going under 800$ for some days. And I hope bitcoin will continue to add dollars to it's price day by day.
It's just paused , once china market gone wild the panic selling will continue
It's always be like that , chinese try to conquer bitcoin world by its power of big player
I wish the panic selling really ended , but the fact that cina market like huobi keep dumped
It' indicated that they still in the game , don't know what they want , one thing for sure it's all about money.

A huge amount of US dollars was lost and transferred out of CHina due to money laundering and it has negative impacts on Chinas Economy. Selling bitcoins in exchange for dollars will replenish their reserve and will stabilize their economy. CHina is very smart to get a huge volume of bitcoin and they will manipulate bitcoins price since they have the power to do that.
But i don't think it will make the bitcoin market affected too much
A down price might happened temporarily but  not for long time that can break everyone lives
Just don't be too optimistic about this you may can get hurt expecting something nothing.
Very true. Todays bitcoin prices are showing recovery from dropped price of $750.  In fact from that point, market has shown uppish trend so far.  It would be real interesting to observe effect of Trump becoming President of America.
692  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: January 21, 2017, 06:28:16 AM
My current target to buy a piece of land. I think it has so many benefits, and I heard that it is a sure investment. if the land that I bought later has a strategic place, it could be another advantage for me. but, for the moment, I only intended to collect bitcoin. I only intended to invest significantly.
I think investing in real estate by buying a house or land will be a long-term investment that is very nice, because in all countries. real estate prices always go up every year
Half correct, half incorrect. Real estate depends on location, location and location. If location is correct then and then there is prospect of considerable profit. There is not a single country where price of real estate prices kept on rising every year. In fact after gap of few years there comes a bubble in real estate, property prices shoots up. Prime property gets triple or 10times value appreciation. Interesting part is remote properties aka upcoming market is where most actual profit is earned with runaway margin.  There is no doubt a long term investment in real estate is good. However as mentioned earlier location is the key. There are other like mutual fund etc options which have similar return for long term.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: January 20, 2017, 04:25:44 PM
I would rather pick the investing part with gambling websites. It is more profitable now considering they have been more lately. If you see in the services they are promoting their gambling sites and paying good. That is one check for being a good gambling site. One more is if you go to the gambling thread it is livelier than any here. Just dont gamble the invested money and you will be safe Also pick the legitimate one's.
Sorry, I do not think that your idea is good. We can get better passive income from renting house's. The more asset that we have the more passive income we get. Probably legitimate site of HYIP could be good passive income.

* Renting is not something everyone could do. It requires quite some investment in first place. Indeed it is true passive income.
* Legitimate and HYIP are two mutually exclusive terms. Every HYIP has same result in the end and that is majority of investors/fools loosing their money.
* Gambling is again not passive income, as it needs to be done from time to time and it's outcome is not confirmed.
* Starting a business and then delegating its responsibility to the management so that one could keep on focusing different business is kind ideal or true form of passive income.

694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining With My Laptop on: January 20, 2017, 02:29:14 PM
I recently got a pretty powerful laptop with a 1060 gpu, but mining on it turns close to no profit, and overheats the device. Im looking to start mining for fun, but dont want to invest too much money. Therefore using a USB miner seems like the perfect option. However, will mining with a usb miner on my laptop still damage and overheat my PC?

Laptop for mining was definitely not good idea. Looking at the current difficulty level and overall volume, mining with proper bitcoin miners-hardware are best suited for cause. I would suggest to check the mining[1] section of this forum. You would get better answers there.

696  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ex-CIA Agent Admits In Court We Run Afghan Opium Trade on: January 20, 2017, 02:13:45 PM
I just hope that Trump will take the necessary steps to disband the CIA. During its entire history, the organization has done more harm than good. It has toppled democratically elected governments, sponsored terrorists such as Osama bin Laden, and killed innocent civilians through drugs and napalm.
Do not tell me! Who is Trump? Clown! Imbecile! CIA is one of the most influential organizations in America. If Trump won't change his rhetoric, he will not last until the end of his term. Now everyone is waiting for the reason.

While checking some documentaries it seems, Forget Trump, or US presidents or politicians. Presidents or politicians are puppets of big business houses. CIA or FBI keeps their operations secret from business. All propaganda (social/economical/education) are ran by these people.  One thing for sure, they can manage anything and do anything. Brave part is after  they would illegally conquer a country, destroy culture and remove entire population living in it  they would create a feature film about how brave their solder are. Sadly these soldiers become pawns of these crooks.
697  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: January 20, 2017, 01:57:09 PM

Every time I comment on this thread the first person to respond to me thinks that I'm talking about Christianity and the god that they recognize, and it pisses me off. I'm not talking about Christianity, Islam, or fucking Hinduism. I'm talking about the idea of some sort of higher power/being or "god", and the absolute fact that you cannot say for certain as you proclaim there is a god or there is no god.

Please, please, please read this. Stop right now and take away all of your preconceptions about me, religion and agnosticism. Please just read this devoid of emotion and tell me if it doesn't make sense.
Quote
Agnosticism, in fact, is not a creed, but a method, the essence of which lies in the rigorous application of a single principle. That principle is of great antiquity; it is as old as Socrates; as old as the writer who said, 'Try all things, hold fast by that which is good'; it is the foundation of the Reformation, which simply illustrated the axiom that every man should be able to give a reason for the faith that is in him, it is the great principle of Descartes; it is the fundamental axiom of modern science. Positively the principle may be expressed: In matters of the intellect, follow your reason as far as it will take you, without regard to any other consideration. And negatively: In matters of the intellect, do not pretend that conclusions are certain which are not demonstrated or demonstrable. That I take to be the agnostic position, which if a man keep whole and undefiled, he shall not be ashamed to look the universe in the face, whatever the future may have in store for him.

The results of the working out of the agnostic principle will vary according to individual knowledge and capacity, and according to the general condition of science. That which is unproved today may be proved, by the help of new discoveries, tomorrow. The only negative fixed points will be those negations which flow from the demonstrable limitation of our faculties. And the only obligation accepted is to have the mind always open to conviction.

That it is wrong for a man to say he is certain of the objective truth of a proposition unless he can provide evidence which logically justifies that certainty. This is what agnosticism asserts and in my opinion, is all that is essential to agnosticism.”

― Thomas Henry Huxley

My beliefs are solely based off the logic that is explained in this quote. Please don't call yourself an atheist (as I'm assuming you do) and instead take to the agnostic position, as any logical person would have to do.

It's a beautiful philosophy to live by:
Quote
In matters of the intellect, do not pretend that conclusions are certain which are not demonstrated or demonstrable. That I take to be the agnostic position, which if a man keep whole and undefiled, he shall not be ashamed to look the universe in the face, whatever the future may have in store for him.

Do not twist the issue.  There is absolutely no evidence that any supernatural being exists or ever existed.  All the religious dogmas are just pure, utter nonsense.

If you want to have an honest, philosophical discussion about 'higher power/force', ok, fine here is one thing you have to remember:

There is no time for 'God' to exist in before the Big Bang.  So rest assured there is no God before the Big Bang.

And nobody ever detected any 'God/higher power' in this reality, so whatever you are basing your 'agnostic' position on is based on your dreams and wishful thinking.

You didn't acknowledge what I said. Please read again.
Quote
In matters of the intellect, do not pretend that conclusions are certain which are not demonstrated or demonstrable.

Just because it's never been detected doesn't mean no one ever will. That's just common sense, right? Nothing is ever discovered until it's... discovered, no? Also, your assumption about the big bang being the very beginning is only that... an assumption. Others have made assumptions too that go against that theory.

http://discovermagazine.com/2013/september/13-starting-point
The big Bang theory looks much more persuasive than a fairy tale called the Bible. It seems to me that this is similar to what you'd be offered a ride in the first Ford and don't drive new cars because they did not have before.

I do not believe in big bang theory. Can you prove to me that it is true ? Are you there when it happened? There is more truth in the bible than your big bang theory. The reason why God cannot be proven by science is because we are not god. Only God can prove that he is God. Bible is not a book of reason and scientific discovery it is a book of faith.

Answer this:

Was the Earth created by God 6000-7000 years ago?
Was the universe created by God in 6 days?
Did God create man from dirt?
Did God create the first woman (Eve) from Adam's rib bone?

If the answer to any of the above is a resounding YES, then we have nothing to talk about.  You just need to double your medication and stay away from guns or heavy machinery.

There are two more school of thoughts  agnostic and gnostic.

* Those who believe God require to "believe" in things/explanation mentioned religious book. To accept something without any proof without verification is to Believe. This causes problem for people who have habit of logical thinking and verification. All religions have different set of believe about God and relation of God with other.
* Those who don't believe in God doesn't have explanation or answer for many phenomenon like How universe was created exactly. Interestingly those who accept this that they don't have definitive answer and are working on the same.

Watching or reading George Carlin helps in solving majority Whether God exists or not.

699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginning with bitcoin trading on: January 19, 2017, 03:50:31 PM
It is true that forex trading and bitcoin trading is different. While there are well established companies treading in the forex for long time so that some big one actually controls it.  bitcoin On the otherhand is still evolving, many countries are still in 'wait n watch' step.   Bitcoin trading is heavily done at chinese btc exchanges. Thus whatever happens there has influence over the global bitcoin prices. Recent China govt decision to investigate the bitcoin exchanges caused bit slump in the bitcoin market. Thus for understanding the bitcoin trends you may want to keep an eye on those important exchanges and political situation as well. If there come another exchange capable of significant impact then understanding of that helps a lot.
There are lot of speculations about the way trade happens in chinese exchanges. Understand that point as well.
Many who have recently joined bitcoin are preferring to hold the bitcoins rather than trade. As per them in coming years bitcoin price will skyrocket to some million dollars.
700  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do we need loans, since we have subsidies? on: January 19, 2017, 03:37:26 PM
I dont think every body can get subsidies. subsidy is an aid given by the government to the needy people who are not even in a stage to help themselves. Loan is which is got by people who are in need of money and which should be paid back.In most cases, loan is given based on collateral security provided by the loan appliers, whereas in case of subsidy no security is needed.
Yes you are right loan is not included in the subsidies. But I want a little confirmed that subsidies should not be for the poor, it may be more appropriate is for people in need because it in a broader sense. Loans are basically must be returned to the maturity that has been determined, and usually there is no guarantee or interest, while subsidies are given voluntarily and there is no guarantee or interest (usually coming from the government).

Answering the question from OP of why we need a loan, namely because there is an urgent need that must are met immediately so that we do loan. And must be returned with the specified time period.

Subsidies are not reserved for poor only. In fact largest receiver of subsidies are large corporates/business. Whenever any authority(local/state/national) want to implement any new project in their region then they offer large amount of subsidies to the businesses/corporates to establish there plants. These subsidies are in form of no tax or lowest possible tax,  low value infrastructure that includes land, electricity, water, man power, and so on.
Ordinary well to do people are also eligible for the subsidies if goverment wants to implement certain policy. Like in some countries provident fund(retirement fund) installments are half paid by govt and half by employee. Just an example.  In govt want to get certain crops then they would give subsidies For farmers too.
So subsidies is available for all. You just need to know the applicable scheme.

Lending Loan is something banks love to do. (Lending loan is in fact most loved by the loansharks though). They get major business from that. I don't think why loan is required needs to be explained. loan or subsidies have their own place in economy.
